One of my favorite songs by my favorite songwriter/composer/ musician, Mark Knopfler. Knopfler worked as a journalist before he became a rock star filling stadiums with his group “Dire Straits”. He is a master at putting a story to music. The original English video of this song is about a busker, playing his music “down in the tunnels trying to make it pay…” worth a look on youtube. A whole different slant on the song. This mainstream Americanized version is just as good and reflects the storyline of people trying their best.
The scumbag that stole Johnny’s cash needed his head stoved in….

nkit,
I missed your reference at first, misreading Johnny cash and not seeing the ‘s. I am thinking it was a ten shilling note that was stolen from his guitar case, more than enough for some grub and a pint or two back then.

My point remains that stealing from a street musician is scraping the bottom of the barrel of theft. I know a bit. But you are right Griffy, that hurt the musician, and there was no replay by the officials..and no Ps and Qs to mind…

nkit, gotta keep your eyes on any man w/ an umbrella, eh? At least that was a staged video production. Check this one out. I hate thieves, but laughed at this one. This doesn’t make me a bad guy does it?
The world is full of low life MFs. The umbrella, the dance, whatever. They are pieces of shit thieves at heart. I can make no defense for them. They are worthless.
