LOSING OUR SENSE OF OUTRAGE

Guest Post by Jesse

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles and snares of evil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Therefore, take on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand the evil of this day and, at the end of all things, remain standing.”

Ephesians 6:11-13

“In the painting, the woman clutches desperately at the knee of the statue, yearning up into its face, which stares down at her remorselessly. The statue holds out a bag of gold, but the woman ignores the money. She has moved beyond the love of money, to the love of Mammon himself. And so she has cut herself off from the love of God, embracing her own destruction.”

“A society that loses its sense of outrage is doomed to extinction.”

Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Defining Deviancy Down

Gold was rallying and stocks were lackluster with the US dollar running at multi-year lows this morning.

The Fed released its ‘Beige Book’ at 2:00 PM. It was full of anecdotes about the tremendous jobs growth and robust economy, with growing labor shortages. And by implication, wage pressures.

As some noted, we suspect that this was aimed to please twitter man, el hombre naranja, and to justify the next round of interest rate increases. The Fed is glossing over the significant lapse in the number of employed in the Labor Participation Rate and hand-picking examples. But they have always been courtiers to power. Their independence and self-effacing goodness is a fairy tale, a farce. Unfortunately they are in good company with the other regulators, the pundits, and the politicians.

The labor shortages are for the most part artificial, because employers are not yet engaging in wage increases designed to attract talent, having become accustomed to thirty years of growing productivity and stagnant real wages.

The moneyed interests and their courtiers like to blame it on laziness, games, and drugs of the unemployed and the poor. It is not their stealing that condemns them so much, as it is the slandering and dehumanizing of their victims, at home and abroad, to justify themselves. They steal not only their victims’ money, but their humanity. It would have been better for them if they had never been born.

Do not delude yourselves, and go only to those places where they tell you what you wish to hear. Where they flatter you with tales of your superiority, compared to these others. For this is an easy and carefree path, blithely into the abyss.

You know it is wrong, you can feel the unease when you part from these serpents and their soothing reassurances. But you cannot bear to face the truth, and the lies are smoothly seductive. Your vanity urges you to imagine yourself to be the real victim of these others, to justify yourself.

Let’s see if this is the start of something new, or just the kind of tickle and comfort that the courtiers and careerists to power like to pay to their masters, and the god of the markets. There is nothing like a good wash and rinse in the market that the boys like better, just ahead of a stock options expiration. And from the short term overbought and oversold conditions it was a nice opportunity to game the system and pick up some easy profits from the public.

There will be a reckoning, and it may be historic. But they do not believe in it, they do not think that change or reform is possible. This is the true opium of the people.

“Twitter Man; el hombre naranja.”
Perfecto. The Cheetoh.
…y todo el mundo entienden la cabeza es lleno de mierda cuando habla.
Es verdad, el coyote, mi amigo?

How’d I do?
Anxiously awaiting your critique.

Anony Mouse,

Without knowing who you are, how is Senor Coyote to know that you are amigos? His innate sense of caution may cause him to proceed cautiously, even if he earnestly desires to befriend a fellow lover of the Spanish language. Everybody needs friends.

“You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you may find that you can get what you need.”

A new friend introduced me to the song from which the fragment above comes, and also gave me a dictionary. I do love that dictionary; read a few pages every day. Words are like people; every one is different, even if they are similar. Synonyms do not actually exist.

Mr. Jimmy

Cricket Lil’ Bro, ’tis true, a bit of what thou speaketh. “But if you try sometime…”
The use of amigo, imo, is a friendly greeting or salutation. I make no presumptions of acceptance.
If he responds, I believe he shall throw caution to the wind, and call: moran, as he sees fit.
It was only recently where EC explained that is not really an insult, but a playful correction jab.
Village idiot would be more insulting.
Other things about el hombre I’ve seen:
1. An ability to sense a writing style, in detecting who is behind the curtain.
2. A belief we are, if not amigos, at least capable of friendly banter back and forth, due to the past.
3. He has corrected a few times before, and such feedback is better than indifference, but
ignoring is always an option.
My Spanish is buried deep in my history, and attempted to fling a phrase out there.
If anyone can judge it, I suspect him to be most capable.
Plus, he’s been linking You Tube videos after his comments, which add to the mix.
Regarding your appreciation for a dictionary and using it, I can roll with that.
One of the best things about The Platform is good writers who use words that challenge some.
The mistake (guilty as charged, at times) is assuming to know the correct usage and meaning,
and not grabbing Webster’s or Wiki to confirm, or correct our assumptions.
At my PC at work, and at home, one is always close by, and I actually enjoy using them.
For now, I must depart.

We all need friends. If you can get a good, dependable friend, you will be doing well. Might do good, too. We can all learn from friends. Somebody here taught me about breaking my screeds into paragraphs.

When I was back up in northern Georgia, I always wanted many friends, like some people I knew. Where I am now, one of the neighbors recently explained to me that a person only has a few real friends in his entire life. A number he can count on one hand.

I suspect that the people I envied in Georgia did not have real friends, just other people attracted to their pleasant, easy going personalities. Like a bee cloud attracted to a flower or some Coca Cola spilled somewhere. When the Coke dries, the bees go somewhere else.

I do not have a pleasant personality, especially when I have a belly full of whiskey. Probably why I was kicked out of school in the 7th grade. Probably why the local know-it-alls wanted to send me to reform school. Lucky my momma and daddy sent me to relatives in south Georgia, who taught me to fix houses and roofs. That’s how I learned about Jimminy Cricket and his brother Billy.

Your neighbor is right. True close friends are few. I call many acquaintances friends, as we have some things in common. But the best one and I think and act alike most of the time.

At my age, I’d rather hang out with the really close ones who freely exchange with me, what’s important in a strong bond, without any friction.
Especially the learning.

Yes, the hooch can cause problems. Alienation & loss from others, be they friend or stranger.
I have had to learn that, besides working to improve my interactions w others, without rolling over in the quest for acceptance.
An unpleasant personality hinders progress toward that.
You’ll see evidence of that here, with some. Good Luck.

Senor Coyote does not discriminate. Shit comments happen, it is not a reflection of a person’s worth. However, if the comments insist on being unfriendly, it will be duly noted and pins will be stuck in an appropriate effigy; shallow pins, more like acupuncture needles. Please let me know if your condition improves.

It seems most of the comments do not interact with the article. I view this woman’s choice in line with many of the “me-to” wimmins. i.e. women willing to flop and spread for a job in the spotlight. I don’t blame them. Some of them probably made a good trade. I do, however, see their whining all these years later as low character.

Gone soft on outrage? How can we be Constantly Outraged about the Illuminati Congress, the constant leftist MSM TV crap, the “anti-Education” system, all the corrupt unConstitutional unGodly AntiAmerican alphabetical agencies and courts, Socialist local governments, the Hwy bandits called the Patrol, Low IQ Cops ready to crack themselves, the NeoCons and their ZOG MIC, Cultural Communist Revisionism everywhere, Fake Religions, and all the high taxes to maintain the TPTB and their dumbed down criminal masses on welfare who always out vote me? I’d have blood-shot bugged out eyes and look like a used match from all the adrenaline.
