Groundhog Day: Shadows Seen as the Hits Keep on Coming

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

The ideological war between the opposing forces of globalization and constitutional nationalism continues to escalate.  Specifically, in the United States, the battle lines were recently redefined by the four-page House Intelligence Committee memo that was unveiled on Groundhog’s Day, February 2, 2018. History repeated, once again, as groundhogs exited their holes all over America, squinted into the sunlight, and saw shadows of ever-expanding government corruption.

The memo, in essence, transmuted the alleged conspiracy of Donald Trump’s and Russia’s overturning of the 2016 Presidential Election into actual collusion between former president Obama’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DoJ), with Hillary Clinton’s Campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), to illegally preempt said election. The revelations from the Groundhog Day Memo describe specific actions (and omissions) committed by officials in the Obama administration that have resulted in the illicit subversion of Donald J. Trump, the constitutionally elected President of the United States.

Stated in simpler terms, the Groundhog Day Memo has transitioned the Russiagate investigation into Obamagate.

As expected, members of the unelected administrative deep state, the military industrial complex, the corporate mainstream media, Democratic Party hacks, Senator John McCain, and the liberal political punditry from coast-to-coast, have chosen to double-down on their collective obfuscation and outright lies.

The American Leftists are not concerned about the illegal omissions of material facts by top FBI and DoJ officials in their pursuit of a FISA warrant on low-hanging fruit, Carter Page, who was involved with Trump’s campaign in 2016.  They see no problem with high-ranking justice department official Bruce Ohr’s secret collaboration with his wife Nellie, who worked for Fusion GPS, the firm behind the now infamous Russian Dossier against Trump.  The very same dossier that was funded by Hillary Clinton and the DNC which, according to the memo, was cited as the reason for the surveillance warrant on Page.

On the contrary, the Political Left and the lying liberals in mainstream media are defending the crimes described in the Groundhog Day Memo with feigned technicalities, contrived nuance, manufactured misrepresentations, and levels of political spin not seen since former U.S. President, William Jefferson Clinton, questioned the definition of what “is” is.   First they all fought the release of the memo and now are daily attempting to discredit its revelations.

They do so because they are the political establishment. They are the swamp.

Let’s review what we now know:

Beginning in 2016, Democrat President Obama, on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, weaponized the FBI and DoJ against Republican presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump.  Upon Trump’s defeat of his Republican primary opponents in early 2016, Operation Russiagate was launched. The investigation was thinly predicated upon the drunken claims, in a London bar, by a member of Trump’s foreign policy advisory panel, George Papadopoulos.  Eventually, Carter Page, who was another one of Trump’s foreign policy advisors, was targeted as well.  It has been reported Page was surveilled in 2013 because of his contacts in Russia.

However, the alleged misdeeds of Page and Papadopoulos were not enough to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant in order to spy on the Trump campaign.  As reporter, Louise Mensch, for the news website Heat Street, indicated in the Fall of 2016 (in an article since scrubbed from the internet), the first Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) request was declined in June, 2016, but was later approved in October, 2016.  The claims were also confirmed in the New York Times, on January 20, 2017.

Strangely, the very same month the original FISC request was denied, the now infamous snakes on a plane meeting took place between Former President Bill Clinton and Obama’s then Attorney General, Loretta Lynch. They both claimed to have discussed their grandchildren only on that airport tarmac in Phoenix. What else could they have talked about?

We may never know.

But now, because of the Groundhog Day Memo, we do know the Hillary Clinton and DNC financed Russian Dossier, according to former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, was used to finally obtain the FISA warrant required to spy on Team Trump. The 90-day surveillance warrant on Carter Page was then renewed three times. It appears this was done in order to dig up political dirt and diminish Trump’s chances of winning the 2016 Presidential Election and, later, to undermine his presidency.  At the same time, the culprits specifically named in the memo (i.e. James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr) seemingly conspired to bury the multifarious crimes of Hillary Clinton.

The first views, if you will, of multiple shadows growing in succession.

After Trump won the election, the phony Russian conspiracy was then utilized:

1.) By online social networks to censor the alternative media

2.) By President Obama to sign into law the “Countering Disinformation And Propaganda Act” on December 23, 2016

3.) By Obama’s National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, to feloniously unmask Trump administration officials

4.) By Democrats and the Media to pressure the new president’s National  Security Advisor to resign and the nation’s new Attorney General to recuse himself from the Russia investigation

5.) By deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, to appoint his trusted, dear friend and collaborator, Robert Mueller, as Special Counsel to investigate President Trump’s non-existent collusion with Russia

6.) By Robert Mueller to obtain minor process crimes on Paul Manafort (Trump’s former campaign chairman), Rick Gates (business associate of Manafort), George Papadopoulos (Trump’s former foreign policy advisor) and Michael Flynn (Trump’s former national security advisor)

7.) By Robert Mueller to transition the imaginary Russiagate Collusion into a bogus Obstruction of Justice investigation against Trump for firing former FBI Director, James Comey

Paradoxically, regarding shadow # 7 above:  Trump, in his termination letter to Comey, stated he was acting upon the recommendations of Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, and Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein. Furthermore, according to the Groundhog Day Memo, we now know that Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller to be special counsel, signed off on at least one of the misrepresented, and therefore illegal, FISA applications on Trump.

Of course no one is talking about these points of fact.

But wait. There’s more.

While reports of Trump’s fictitious collusion with the Russians continue to dominate the Lamestream Media’s talking points, the actual sale of twenty-percent of America’s uranium deposits to Russia, which resulted in the Uranium One payments to the Clinton Foundation, remains, predictably, under-reported.  This, even though it was confirmed by the New York Times in 2015.

Moreover, Obama’s FBI and DoJ were fully aware of the crimes committed:

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill. The FBI Uncovered Evidence that Russian Money Was Funneled to the Clinton Foundation

Who was the Director of the FBI at that time?

Robert Mueller.

Who was Secretary of State when the State Department and the agencies on the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States sold the Canadian mining company, Uranium One, one-fifth of American’s uranium for Uranium One’s sale to Russia?

Hillary Clinton.

Who was an Obama administration official that joined Hillary Clinton on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States at the time the Uranium One deal was approved?

Eric Holder.

Regardless, in spite of nine separate shareholders of Uranium One donating more than $145 million to the Clinton Foundation BEFORE the transfer, Hillary Clinton denied any wrongdoing.

Guess who led the investigation into the Uranium One sale?

The investigation was ultimately supervised by then-U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein, an Obama appointee who now serves as President Trump’s deputy attorney general, and then-Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe, now the [former] deputy FBI director under Trump, Justice Department documents show.

Robert Mueller, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, Rod Rosenstein, Andrew McCabe, and, yes, James Comey.  These are the shadows of corruption we now face.

Quite familiar, isn’t it?

Indeed, the hits just keep on coming. No surprises.  It all just repeats like a broken record; or Bill Murray’s character in the 1993 movie, “Groundhog Day”.

But to those in the Lamestream Media, the Groundhog Day Memo is a dud.  It is nothing. It is, in fact, a nothing-burger:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwYY5zDxB54

Talk about collusion.  The collective criminality and insanity of the political left and the mainstream media has reached epic proportions.

And the irony is striking.

We have a Hollywood movie now in theaters about the Washington Post’s noble fight to release the Pentagon Papers while, at the same time, that very newspaper has advocated against the release of information revealing illegal FISA spying on a presidential candidate, potentially, by a sitting president. It’s true, democracy dies in the darkness.

We recently witnessed Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein’s unilateral release of Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson’s summer 2017 testimony. Yet, she is “stunned and dismayed” by the release of the Groundhog Day Memo.

Last week, the Lamestream Media was obsessing over Robert Mueller’s investigation of White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks, and her alleged obstruction of justice for burying non-existent emails between Donald Trump Jr. and the Russians. Yet, they never desired to address Hillary Clinton’s 30,000 lost emails, or the Uranium One scandal, did they?

It is obvious the Trump-haters are now in the process of doubling-down in their conspiracy to overturn his presidency.

They have seen their shadows and, like groundhogs, have returned into their dark holes in a vain attempt to survive the winter of this Fourth Turning’s discontent.

Excellent overview and summary! Food for thought, even though people are being redpilled on a daily basis now, they are also being isolated though the corporate media. No voice is being given, other than the “never Trump” crowd. How long till that firewall breaks as well? When it does, I’m a firm believer that the proverbial feces will hit the fan. Just sayin…………

Thanks for this excellent piece! However, I’m afraid spring may NEVER come in this odd season unless we KEEP this particular group of groundhogs IN their dark holes where they belong. Sadly, none of this may make any difference in a leaderless society and given the filters of the corporate media and the two major political parties, it’s hard to imagine any actual leaders emerging in the political system. A real problem since leaderless societies buffeted about by various economic interests are unlikely to adapt in a unified way to a changing world.

It took 26 months from the Watergate breakin to Nixon resigning the presidency. Of course Nixon lost control of the FBI and DOJ by early 1973 and never had any media support. When the Senate began its televised hearings it was all over for Nixon as the GOP was not a party like the modern Democrats willing to overlook criminal conduct as long as it is committed by a Democrat. Thus when Howard Baker asked ‘What did the President know and when did he know it’ it was not a rhetorical question. Baker wanted to get the truth of what happened. There is not a single Democrat in Congress yet willing to do the same in the matter of Clinton/Obama corruption and if the impeachment of Bill Clinton is any example there won’t ever be one.

This means the GOP Congress must push ahead with alacrity or this far more serious scandal could disappear if the GOP loses control of Congress. Adam Schiff is no Devin Nunes and Dianne Feinstein no Chuck Grassley so, despite being handicapped by a neutered Attorney General and with the media circling the wagons to save themselves and their political masters the Republicans have to break through the FBI/DOJ stonewall and get the evidence declassified quickly.

Along those lines, it is scary that GOP is depending on DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz to deliver the goods in his report. So far he seems to be doing his job but he will come under great pressure from the Swamp and his ‘Tribe’ to ‘go easy’ less he become a modern day Roy Cohn!

Sadly, the bulk of the other 90% of the population doesn’t (and can’t be convinced to) care much about what is obviously a serious matter. So long as the lights are on, the toilets flush, and they can stuff their fat faces from the dollar menu, any attempt to awaken the proles is a howl into the civic wilderness.

The crumbling of the Republic and the harbingers of advancing tyranny are simply not on the radar of our fellow “citizens.” They are far to consumed with sports ball, I-phones, and every form of insipid electronic distraction available to them. They can be roused from their collective torpor to burn down their own city in celebration of a meaningless sporting event, but will not bat an eye as the surveillance state takes shape around them and the agencies of government become clubs with which to beat them.

The battle cry of the modern American is not, “Give me Liberty or Give me Death!” It is the stuttering mumble of, “Well, if you’re not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about.” It is the beaten voice of the Greek helot, the Roman slave, and the Medieval serf. There is no Spartacus waiting in the wings (at least not yet).

The corruption of government agencies and the subversion of public institutions mean nothing to an already corrupted populace whose civic virtue and personal morals were long ago subverted by the advance of cultural Marxism, the normalization of deviancy, and a half century slide toward the national debacle we are now facing. The America that was is fading into myth and memory. The America that is floats on a sea of debt, fraudulent promises, and imagined greatness. It is a ship of fools captained by greater fools. All the while, the America that will be assumes its nightmarish shape. Tyranny settles all but unnoticed on the hunched shoulders of an oblivious people.

Sure. It involves Trump using his emergency powers, martial law, mass arrests of the Dems, (and their financial backers, and their media allies,) military tribunals, mass deportations, and mass executions. This is really the last chance to avoid a bloody civil war, by eliminating the enemy leadership, financial, and propaganda wings now – and deporting their imported troops. It’s the least bad thing he could do. At the end, there would still be one America.

The other alternative appears to be a slow-burn civil war, starting with assassinations – really, this has already started [ http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-congressional-baseball-shooting-20170621-story.html ]. It will inevitably ramp up eventually to Yugoslavia-levels of violence. We out number the Tribe about 20-to-1 domestically, so even at a 1:1 loss rate, we would win in the end, and they would be completely gone. It may come to this, I don’t see how it can be stopped at this point if Trump fails to act. At the end of this, there would probably be several new nations where America once stood. This is best avoided – if possible.

Nice job making this attempted coup simple and easy to follow. Any first year law student could take this with the outline and all the links you provide and easily obtain an indictment and conviction. McCabe and RosenSwine are guilty of obstruction in the least and possibly collusion with evil vile Putin via Hillary/Obama.

Lately it seems a few in the never Trump media are slowly stepping away from the strong delusion being peddled 24/7 on MSM. If enough of these wood rats bail off the sinking ship this could be a problem for the cabal. These fuckers have no idea what they are about to unleash. They are a mile wide and an inch deep, unaware of their huge blindspot. The world is now too small and they have nowhere to hide.

Hope we get to see an article from you on preparedness. Don’t worry about those who will never even take baby steps, I know, and have known many such people. They can’t be cured. Something to cogitate on. When Jeff Sessions was under consideration to be Trump’s Attorney General the Democrats howled. He was a bigot, a racist and unfit to head such an important post. Was this protest real or a Deep State orchestrated B’riar Rabbit act to encourage Trump to proceed with the nomination?

Consider the Obama Administration would likely have been able to surveil all communications Sessions was having with the Trump Transition as a result of the FISA warrant on Carter Page. They may have even been surveilling Sessions from the day his name came up as a potential nominee. In the event Sessions was confirmed on a 52-47 vote with only West Virginia’s Manchin breaking ranks from the Dems.

Sure turned out sweet for the Democrats. Sessions recused himself on the so called Russian collusion matter effectively turning over the DOJ to Rod Rosenstein and now seems to just sleep in his office as his agency is on fire. Down in Alabama the Democrats even managed to take his goddamned Senate seat. So the question is, is Sessions being blackmailed?

Now consider Christopher Wray, Comey’s replacement as FBI director. If the Democrats hit a homerun by neutralizing Trump from gaining control of the DOJ with the Sessions nomination it would all come to naught if Trump got a honest FBI director. Did the Democrats howl in protest when Wray was nominated? No, in fact he was confirmed on a 92-4 vote. We really need to find out who picked Wray, who came wih a New York white shoe law firm background and had served as Comey’s lieutenant at the DOJ in the mid 2000s!

I run a prepper store. SHTF prepping is not possible unless you commit to a remote homestead and build strong linkages in the community. Single families doesn’t work, see Hostiles. Natural emergency prepping for the 2-7 days it might take for organized help to arrive is doable on any budget. Less about actual survival and more about increased comfort during a power outage, flood, fire, storm damage etc. A breakdown of civil order for more than a week or two and Americans will kill each other for a scrap of moldy bread. Civil war would be worse. We moved to the American Redoubt on a small ranch with good water and it is survivable here, almost. Would love to see what you come up with.

Trump will be forced to take the gloves off and arrest the entire bunch under various national security laws. He will need nerves of steel and a willingness to deal harshly with any official or judge who gets in his way. At some point he may have to use the military and armed citizens to deal with these vermin. We are approaching Spanish Civil War levels of confrontation. One side or the other will win the others will be stomped into the ground. That is the logic of civil war.

What started at the Constitutional Convention of 1787, through the Missouri Compromise, the sectional strife of the 1850’s, the guerrilla warfare in the Kansas Territory following the 1854 Kansas-Nebraska Act, through the Dredd-Scott Supreme Court decision in 1857, to John Brown at Harper’s Ferry in 1859, through Lincoln’s election in 1860 and South Carolina’s Declaration of Secession in December of that year – all led to what most experts agree began the war: Fort Sumter.

But there are people (like Admin) who is probably more of an expert on the Civil War than me

So…, about the Senate Judiciary Committee’s newly released, eight-page, memo: Foreign sources gave information to a minion working for Hillary and Bill Clinton, then – they fed that information to Obama’s State Department official, who, in turn, handed it over to Christopher Steele? Really?

And this little tidbit from that senate memo (pages 4-5) gives a whole new meaning to the term “Fake News”:

(U)…. Mr. Steele further stated that journalists from ‘the New York Times, the Washington Post, Yahoo News, the New Yorker, and CNN’ were “briefed at the end of September 2016 by [Steele] and Fusion at Fusion’s instruction.’ The filing further states that Mr. Steele subsequently participated in further meetings at Fusion’s instruction with Fusion and the New York Times, the Washington Post, and Yahoo News, which took place mid-October 2016.

The type of informed, balanced and comprehensive analysis of the FISA Memo and other corruption in the US presented above cannot be found in the Main Stream Media (MSM), because the MSM is a corporate-owned propaganda and subversive media that serves the interests of its owners. There is no TRUTH in the MSM which is why readership/viewership is in a steep decline and our democracy is failing badly. But those days are coming to an end and when that happens, all the propaganda owners and their agents – formerly journalists – will be exposed for all to see. How Americans and people of the western world react to the deceit and deception by the MSM is hard to predict but I would not want to be one of the Fake Journalist when that day arrives. They are about to become the modern version of a leper who walks a lonely path in shame and disgrace.

I am amazed by the legacy media’s position in all this. They really are running a propaganda campaign against Trump and the people of America. They have managed to brainwash millions of people. They do not even attempt to report the news anymore. As a result, about half the people in America do not even know what is going on in America. It is very strange. It is very bad. The propaganda is creating divisions in society. I guess it is being successful. It is a sad story…

Uncola,
Thanks for a great article.
One item that may get overlooked by some people, as it takes a while to grasp:
The type of warrant that allowed the FBI to “monitor” or spy upon Carter Page also allowed the FBI to go back and look at past correspondence that Page had, and also to monitor people or offices that Page had contact with, for example Trump Tower and the Trump transition team.
So the FBI has Carter blanche to eavesdrop on Trump.

You know what else kinda gets swept under the rug?

You know what Carter page was doing way before he ever “worked” on the Trump campaign?

“After leaving the Navy, Page completed a fellowship at the Council on Foreign Relations.”

Huh.

“Carter Page, who served as a foreign-policy adviser to Donald Trump’s campaign, was known to U.S. counterintelligence officials for years before he became a prominent figure in a dossier of unverified research about the future president’s ties to Russia.”

Thanks for the heads up U.S. counterintelligence officials, great job doing the hard work you guys are always being accused of. Letting a dude you’ve known about for years get into a brand new White House.

Top shelf counterintelligence work there.

Propaganda is just current.

The lion’s share of the brainwashing blame lies with the willing, spoiled, soft, entitled receptacles…and their parents who didn’t pass on the hard truths and coddled them …no matter the generations.

Many Americans don’t want to know and will reject those who try to inform them.

I’m not sure who said something like, ” if you are going to tell the truth, make them laugh or they’ll kill you.”

Certain knowledge of wrong combined with integrity, for those who still have that, will require action.

But we are so far down that slippery slope to Tyranny, that any real movement or protest at all by the individual seems to hasten the decent. It is easier to justify inaction if you do not know for sure. Conform and trust the Authorities. You don’t have to rationalize not doing anything if you don’t know it’s going on and you won’t know it’s going on if you stay to the safe and familiar media outlets you have known and trusted all of your life.

Not everyone is up to having their worldview shattered. I think the well known 5 stages of grief could probably also be applied to the process of being “red pilled”. Some strong Trump supporters might be considered to be in the bargaining phase. (don’t twist it. I wish him a successful presidency)

Not that I pay much attention to the “Q” stuff, but weren’t some of the post about how most won’t be able to handle it?

Truth has a rough road ahead in this Society for a while yet. Better settle in for the long haul. It’s going to take more than this and it’s going to be a fight every step of the way.

The “treason state” –presently known as the “deep state” is at some very near point in the future, going to be pushed to the edge, to the point where they will act openly and violently. It may be weeks or months, but they will act against the present administration when they are pushed into the corner.

Take a look at this video by someone else who gets it–but he gets it wrong by predicting that the “leftist” thugs (Antifa and so forth) will be the ones carrying the initial ball. The people who will be ‘carrying the initial ball’ or violent coup will be handsomely paid ex-spec-forces types, CIA operatives and contract mercenaries working in concert with rogue military groups commanded by high-ranking military officers who are part and parcel to the globalist cabal.

I believe (piecing together all the open threats by politician and ex-government thugs) they will act swiftly and violently against President Trump in some sort of kinetic military action–which most likely will fail. They are so desperate and their desperation will grow exponentially in the coming weeks that fat-cat globalist financial wonks (who in reality control the MSM media, the DC conspirators and politicians on their payroll) will pull the coup trigger and give them the ‘go signal.’

Should the globalist coup succeed it would mean the end of the USA as you presently know it or have known it. The USA will quickly become a open police state.

This guy in the video below only has it half right–the heavy mercenary hitters will carry the ball at the top of the food chain, signaling (as he predicts) the lower street thugs and agitators to swarm into the streets to create chaos and distraction as the dirty deeds are performed in DC.

Unfortunately what you say makes a great deal of sense. We can wish that it had not come to this but we do not ourselves order the times of our lives.

Clinton cronies Sid Vicious Blumenthal, Paul Begala, and Cody Shearer have emerged once again as repeating subjects of discussion on the nightly cable news shows.

What is this, 1998?

Not only did Clinton pay for the dossier, but now there is speculation these scumbags were sources for it as well.

The hits. They keep on coming.
