Posting articles online, especially for readers of high intelligence, can be quite a balancing act.  In fact, with certain topics, it is like walking a tightrope while wearing ice-skates in a crosswind.  At times, the tightrope represents the delicate balance between the cerebral hemispheres.  According to Left- Brain Right-Brain Theory, the left-brained technicians incline towards logic, analysis, and objectivity, and the right-brained artisans are intuitive, subjective, and romantic.

Although I can play either side, I personally favor the creative aspects of artistic, conceptual visualization. This may be why left-brained people rarely get my jokes. For instance, if I wrote how mechanical engineers design weapons and civil engineers design targets, there would be comments in the ensuing thread informing me that both types of engineers design FAR more than just those two categories.  Even more importantly, extreme caution must be applied to never get the science wrong, ever.  Make one mistake and medieval heretics burned at the stake will gaze up from hell and say:  “There but for the grace of God, go we” as the left-brainers, with smoking pens in melted shirt pocket-protectors, dance upon my ashes.

So it’s a fine line.

Effort is required, not only to countervail the cerebral hemispheres, but to reach the blue-pilled wonders while still engaging the red-pilled cynics; to affect those in my personal circle as well as strangers; and concurrently appeal to both conspiracy speculators and the… shall we say… trusting ones.

All that was a preamble for this:

In this article, (gasp) I want to reference stories and personalities that were recorded in the Bible.

My reasons for doing this are, first, for purposes of illustration; and secondly, because the Bible stories and characters represent a universal reference point from which to begin a conversation I believe is important at this time.

To the non-believers, I say it’s no different than citing any other historical record, legend, myth, or fairy tale.

To the believers, I’d ask you to look beyond what is written here and fill in the blanks according to your faith; and remember that even the self-proclaimed Son of God used a little creative license now and then to make the occasional point. I say that with all due respect.

Moreover, although I have taken every precaution to be accurate, I will not quote chapter and verse in this one; it’s not that kind of essay.  Finally, some of the readers may not appreciate my raising more questions than answers here. In that regard, please accept my apologies in advance.

Here goes:

Time’s Up

Can you feel the noose tightening? Can you see and smell the foul feculence flung towards the whirling flabellum?

Like the divided hemispheres of a giant brain, so is America today.  Except no longer are the two sides working for the betterment of one nation.  On the contrary, for the past several decades the collective schizophrenia of the Political Left has progressively degenerated.  Upon the election of Donald Trump, however, a psychotic break was induced of a magnitude not seen since Jeffrey Dahmer’s final dinner party, at midnight, on Halloween.

In addition to hallucinations of Russian election hacking, and delusions of presidential obstructions of justice, the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments to the United States Constitution are under simultaneous attack by both the psychotically sadistic Deep State and their self-flagellating, collectivist gimps.

It has become so bad, the internet memes are ridiculing the same maniacal, flakes, freaks, and fruitcakes who were calling Trump “Hitler” last fall for NOW begging him to take away their guns.  That is, until the Electronic Social Planners remove such politically incorrect demonstrations of online mimetic communication.  Yes, just as the dingbats, dummies, dorks, dolts, and dopes descend into unredeemable devastating delirium, the World Wide Web is being pureed into soft servings for the suffering and sickly snowflakes to swallow.

Sadly, the once promising new frontier, and former Wild West of free speech, is dying.

Online censorship by Google, YouTube’s Third Strike against Alex Jones and other independent and conservative users, ever-expanding thought control by Twitter, and electronic jackbooted smackdowns by Facebook are the norm today instead of the previous random, occasional, or accidental incidences. Someone, somewhere, has turned has turned down the heat and the big freeze is on.

Chillingly, in the example of YouTube’s censorship of Alex Jones, the newly self-appointed Ministry of Truth has justified their Orwellian attacks over an allegation of Jones calling the Parkland school shooting survivors “crisis actors”.  However, it appears YouTube can provide no actual proof of this allegation because Jones says it never happened.

Good luck seeking out truth on the World Wide Web anymore as online fact-checkers, like Snopes and Politifact now rise to the very top of every controversial internet search to calm the natives with lies.  Even as I type this, the internet is being scrubbed harder than a Denny’s restaurant floor after hours.  But who is watching the watchers?

Like Dorothy and Toto in a Brave New World, neither are we in Kansas anymore.  On the contrary, we are finally seeing behind the curtain and viewing the actual wizards who were lurking in the shadows for quite some time.

But will the general public wake up from the nightmare before it’s too late? Likely not.

In the impressionable days of my youth, I recall watching a version of “Titanic” on television where the survivors on that sinking vessel we’re trying to escape to the upper decks. On the way, in an interior hallway, they came across zombie-like passengers, in a trance-like state of shock, descending down the wrong way into the abyss.  Those images haunted me at the time. They still do.

These are the days of cognitive dissonance: Of those holding on to a phony Russian election hacking narrative in order to maintain faith in a nation that would never elect a misogynistic reality TV star for president; and those who believe the same president will save the United States. Unfortunately, both dreams will have the same bad ending.

I hate to be the pessimist here, but even if Trump and his Mighty Deplorables can divert sideways from the forthcoming iceberg, the greater mass beneath the surface is far too vast; and we’re traveling too fast.  Like the RMS Titanic, and those who once clawed on the exterior of Noah’s Ark in the pounding rain, America will soon sink to the ocean floor under waves raging over and upon the Sea of History.  The laws of nature, like physics, will not be denied.  It is a matter of mathematical certainty and the manifestation of time.

In the meantime, however, it’s obvious the Orwellian Authoritarians are fighting on the side of the morons as the lunatics run wild in the asylum-like ship of state.

So what can be done?

I don’t know, but I keep thinking of three personalities as recorded in the Bible.  Each one chose differently in the headwinds of tumultuous times:  Barabbas, Judas Iscariot, and Daniel.

Barrabbas the Fighter

In the raging waters of history that transitioned time from BC to AD, ancient Rome ruled the Old World with an iron fist. Naturally, there were freedom fighters at that time who bravely battled against the injustice. These warriors lived and died by the sword like fleas dreaming of defeating a barbaric behemothic beast.  Barabbas of the Bible was one such soldier; a true man of action. His name indicates he was the son of an important man; yet Barabbas soon became infamous as a murderer, thief, and insurgent. In the eyes of the authoritarian state, and as written in the scriptures, he was guilty as charged. Before long, the Romans had their man.  Barabbas stood condemned.

Likewise, in the minds of the globalists today, the nationalists who desire to pick up their allegorical and literal swords to defend their sovereignty already stand convicted. For example, this is realized by the Afghani’s who are currently waging guerilla warfare and daily combatting superior technology on their own turf.  Are they winning, or merely surviving?  Either way, they likely consider themselves fortunate to have the allied assistance of other entire rogue nation-states.

By the same token, what type of fighters will fill the ranks of the American Patriot Army? How will the early musters withstand drone strikes, let alone a superior trained and organized enemy with air superiority and higher caliber firepower equipped with night-vision technology?  How will patriots organize? Where will they train? How will they acquire the provisions to reload and feed their civilian army? Where will their families live, and who guards them, as the fighters wage rural and urban warfare?

In my mind, as you can see, the Biblical example of Barabbas raises some questions.  What are the best answers?

‘Do you see all these great buildings?’ replied Jesus. ‘Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.’

– Mark 13:2

Judas the Sell Out

Anyone who has ever attended Sunday school, or a church sermon, has likely heard the Biblical narrative of Judas Iscariot.  He was one of the original twelve apostles and he later betrayed his leader when circumstances became grim. Throughout the millennia, Judas has become infamous as the Patron Saint of “If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Join ‘Em & Make a Little Money Besides”.

In the mind of Judas, his betrayal made sense at the time; although it did not work out well for him in the end.  He later realized the error of his ways and even tried to make amends by giving the money back. But it was too late. That train had left the station long before.

In my opinion, Judas Iscariot is the archetype of every minion who, against their own conscience, ever did, or will do, the criminal and immoral bidding of their Totalitarian State Masters.  As for those without a conscience? They never stood a chance anyway.  In every instance throughout civilized history, the arrogant fools, and the greedy betrayers, ended up getting what they deserved; even if not immediately.

Whether by pride, or perceived practicality, both fighters and sell-outs will make their choices and place their faith in the wisdom of their rationalizations.

Perhaps the mutual commonality between both Barabbas and Judas Iscariot was how they each thought they knew best when the inevitable concatenation of Providence, or destiny, had other plans.

Who knew.  Can anyone ever know?

…what is mankind that you are mindful of them

– Psalm 8:4

Daniel in Babylon

The Biblical Book of Daniel is a challenging study because, like the Book of Revelation, the narrative is not recorded in chronological order.  Not being a theologian myself, I additionally scrutinized various other examinations written by those more well-versed than me (get it?).

According to Biblical and historical record, Daniel was a teenager when Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem in 606 BC.  Daniel was well educated and fluent in both the Aramaic and Hebrew languages. Although, in his own language, his name translated to “God is Judge”, Daniel was taken to serve in the kingdom of Babylon where his name was changed to “Belteshazzar”, which means “Bel’s Prince”.

In captivity, however, Daniel and his friends kept their traditions and called each other by their given names. In other words they remembered who they were. They accepted their fate but only unto a certain point. For instance, they would work on behalf of the Babylonian Kingdom, but they would not bow down to worship the king; even under penalty of death.  The Biblical record is clear that Daniel and his friends believed it was their God who established kingdoms and ruled over the rulers. The Christian theologians believe this carries into the New Testament as well, citing scriptures like Luke 2:1-3.

Daniel behaved as a loyal subject of the government, but only until the government tried to regulate his relations with his God. Then, he chose to obey the higher law instead of man’s law.  In the New Testament, it appears the early Apostles concurred with that plan also, according to Acts 5:29.

Another interesting component in the Book of Daniel is that, unlike those who favored Barabbas and Caesar over Jesus near 6.4 centuries later, Daniel appeared to have a superior understanding of the times in which he lived. He believed it was foretold that the length of his nation’s captivity would last 70 years, so when that time was up –  the then elderly Daniel said a prayer to the same God that (he believed) enabled him to interpret dreams as a young man.

Interestingly enough, following that prayer, the Biblical record claims that God, in turn, provided mathematical equations to Daniel that predicted not only the exact times of Jesus, but into our present day as well. Of course, that is far beyond the purview of this writing.

What I do find most interesting, however, about Daniel’s prayer (Daniel 9:4-19) is not how he appears to fall on his proverbial sword rather than live by it, but in how he pleads for his nation to be restored for his God’s sake and not his own.

In the interest of moderate comparison, an appeal like Daniel’s could be distilled similar to as follows in a modern plea to either Providence, or destiny; depending upon one’s particular persuasion:

Please hear what I have to say. We were a nation once fortunate and wise; a nation that held the law in high esteem.  We had a republic but, unfortunately, we could not keep it. We lost it all because of what we did, as well as what we did not do. It was completely our fault.

We were not diligent. We were not honorable. We did not value liberty enough. We lied and we cheated. We corrupted ourselves and we let ourselves become corrupt.

As a result of both our shameful complacency and outright failures to uphold truth, honor, liberty, and justice, we have experienced, and will continue to experience, the devastating consequences.

Again, we fully deserve what has happened, what is happening now, and what will continue to happen, because of what we did, in addition to what we did not do.

It would be so great if our direction could be changed; if we could turn things around, and return our nation back to “good”.  Perhaps this could be done now; not because we deserve it but, instead, for the sake of truth, honor, liberty, and justice, once more.

Can you imagine at this time, a unified modern America making such an appeal?  Me neither.

So, I ask:  How can a nation repair its defects and deficiencies unless it squarely, and humbly, faces them first?

Conclusion

No matter how one approaches today’s dire societal circumstances, it should be obvious we are not now facing Red-Coats arriving here by ships from across the sea. It then becomes a question whether or not a Revolutionary era call-to-arms would succeed.  Our time is unique and the technological aspects of modern warfare, surveillance, and communications, are unprecedented in all of history.

Either Constitutional Law will be reestablished in America, and the treasonous cabal of Deep State minions are tried and convicted for their crimes –  or –  Trump and company turns out to be a minor speedbump on the final stretch towards the New World Order.

Can you see many other options?

Because, from my perspective, the United States is a massive debt-infused economic balloon about to burst, while plodding through minefields located in several hotspots around the globe that could start World War III, literally, with a sigh, and facing two national elections; this fall and in 2020.

If the economy deflates before either election, do you think Trump’s tax cuts and trade protectionism will be blamed in the minds and mouths of Orwell’s’ minions? Advertising works.

Regardless, even if Trump and the Deplorables pull off wins in the next two elections (in a smart and diligent effort to conserve ammo) what happens next?  The Insane Snowflakes, the Military Industrial and Surveillance Complex, and the Orwellian Media Messengers will deliver mass chaos until the U.S. Constitution explodes into a thousand white and yellow fragments like the conch shell in William Golding’s “Lord of the Flies”.

But what if Trump and the Deplorables lose the next two elections?  Will they abide with the new leadership after seeing the revealed widespread corruption at the highest levels of government and in the media? How do those genies go back in the bottle? In truth, they can’t.

In any scenario, the civil divorce will be ugly and America’s children will suffer.

Looking back, could there have been any other outcome? Given human nature, perhaps it was always inevitable.  Maybe it’s just time.  Even if one wanted to fight, how can they know they’re not fighting against destiny or something bigger; battling against that which was unavoidable anyway?

What if America’s seemingly psychotic breakdown is more spiritual in nature?  Because, right now, it does seem as if the Perception Puppets are dreaming a new reality; like an incantation.

That’s a far cry from a Daniel-type appeal.  Could anything less save the nation anyway?

For me, Barabbas has a very different connotation. In fact, I can almost call to mind, word for word, a sermon about how very evil that crowd was to choose Barabbas over our dear Lord.

Interesting to discover how very much I’ve been trained to read INTO the scripture what I was told was there.

Damn you tadpole. You force me to think.

“…Interesting to discover how very much I’ve been trained to read INTO the scripture what I was told was there…”

Here’s an interesting experiment that often encourage people to try:

Watch whatever TV news you are accustomed to for two straight weeks with the sound turned off. Try to isolate yourself from other news outlets during this time.

After two weeks, turn the sound back on and then see if the images that you have been watching match the storyline that the announcers are telling.

Being shown an image, especially a video or moving image, and then being ‘told’ what that image is, is among the strongest and most influential type of programming that there is.

People who have lost their ability to determine what they are seeing for themselves may take a bit longer than two weeks to regain their reasoning skills, but it often does show them that they are not being informed, they are being led.

The deductive reasoning skills of the average American have atrophied to an alarmingly low level. Just showing someone that this is true is a first step towards correcting the source of the problem.

I’m a reasonably bright older fellow, who graduated cum laude from a Famous College; still, my deductive reasoning skills are second-rate, at best. The “average” American, and average voter, has essentially zero reasoning skill.

I believe that neither intellect nor voting is going to resolve any of the major challenges facing American society. At this point, either Faith or Force will come to the forefront. Choose wisely.

Yes, John Adams was right.

Right-brained, left-brained, it’s an interesting concept.

A few years ago, I found a test for it. It had an animated ballerina dancer that was spinning.

Depending on whether you saw her turning clockwise or counter-clockwise (that’s anti-clockwise to our British cousins) indicated which side of your brain was dominate.

I took the test and found some interesting results.

If I just looked at the screen while I was relaxed, it spun in the right-brained direction.

However, if I was working at some engineering design or equation and then looked up at the screen it showed the dancer turning in the direction indicating left-brained.

By simply relaxing for a few moments the dancer would slow down, stop, and then start turning in the right-brained direction.

So although my job of four plus decades is all left-brained, my natural state is right-brained.

I never would have suspected that.

Perhaps we should all sit back and relax a moment before commenting (with or without smoking pens) on your articles. It might make a difference of which brain, left or right, does the talking…

NOTE: Please don’t tell any of my mechanical engineering friends that I am naturally right-brained. They might disown me…

The dancer turned both ways for me too, but then suddenly stopped! Now I’m worried.

Another worthwhile read from Underestimated. I completely ‘get’ and love his humor. Anything biblical, especially eschatology related, will often draw out the crazies and wanna-be discerners in comment threads. A take-it-or-leave-it attitude should always be part of a writer’s vibe.

I watched that animation of the ballerina. I really don’t understand the parameters of it. When facing me she turned right to left. However, with her facing away from me she was turning left to right. Also, I visualized that if you were viewing down towards the top of her head she was turning clockwise. However, if you were viewing up towards the soles of her feet she was turning counterclockwise. I saw all 4 views at the same time. The test doesn’t tell me which hemisphere of the brain dominates.

I am shocked at only seeing the dancer turn clockwise, no matter for how long. Frankly, I’m typically pretty good at seeing both images in those perspective tests, and according to my Meyers-Briggs, I have an extreme bias towards Thinking vs Feeling, so I’m having trouble buying into this test.

I, too, have had a 20+ year career that leverages my abilities in Statistics and Analysis (I’m in compensation management), so maybe this explains why I feel I’m stuck in my career.

Unwanted ,you are correct about fighting a government with the military /police power of the USA .Our only hope is the local Guard units and parts of the military breaking away to support the true Patriots in the general population.Local patriotic Americans could handle the corrupt police who will not defend Americans now much less in real combat situations.I have little hope for the North but maybe some of the southern States with parts of the West might be able to secede and make a stand.Either way it’s going to be Hell for a while no matter. The cities or big Urban areas will be death Zones .I have little hope beyond this. Some argue The Republic died after the first Civil war ,it will certainly die in the coming Chaos. There will be no large or even midsize stand up battles, and I am genuinely confused by anyone who imagines there will be. The choosing of sides in the country has already taken place. The red areas can be counted on to support an Insurgency. The blue areas are surrounded and untenable. The military will choose sides when the time comes but it will not be relevant. The military cannot hold Iraq, a land mass the size of Texas. How does anyone propose they hold conus? It’s positively ludicrous.

The Insurgency can starve the blue archipelago areas without much effort. I’m not saying it won’t be ugly. The blue archipelago areas exist at the top of the greatest heap of complexity ever constructed by mankind. Disrupting it would be Child’s Play.

John Adams nailed it. And, I would add to his observation the love of liberty and principles directed to it. Since we all love quick answers and concise solutions, my opinion is that had we maintained a strict ‘states rights’ structure of government, thereby allowing citizens to vote with their feet and had we magically, or Divinely, been universally imbued with the NAP (non aggression principle), one can only imagine where we would now be and what the future would hold. I know, I know……just dreaming, right? But after this all shakes out, and the cauldron of swamp water is finally distilled down to the substrate, is this the dream for our future? And our children’s future?

That was a nice, flip, and obviously long thought out response. If you will read with just a hint of comprehension, you will discern not a syllable was struck regarding ‘ taking over ‘ any damn thing. Merely observing that were it necessary to rebuild government, post corruption, that limited and decentralized powers and the application of the nonaggression principle might be a good place to start. Hey Flash – I finally found some time to read that article and I was profoundly humbled by the author’s erudition and eloquence. The men of that day were a different breed.

A published author emailed me tonight from my blog and asked me if I knew that only a very small percentage of people can appreciate what I write. I emailed him back and told him that small percentage was very important to me and I wanted them to know I was here.

From the link you posted:

The Remnant are those who by force of intellect are able to apprehend these principles, and by force of character are able, at least measurably, to cleave to them. The masses are those who are unable to do either.

And,

The Remnant…, want only the best you have, whatever that may be. Give them that, and they are satisfied; you have nothing more to worry about.

And,

You do not know, and will never know, who the Remnant are, nor what they are doing or will do. Two things you do know, and no more: First, that they exist; second, that they will find you.

Thanks for placing the article into this thread. I appreciate it.

I dont see how any of those archetypes applies to the world of today. First of all, we’re all Judas. The monster is so big that you cannot avoid going along with it to some degree. Who are the people who shoot up schools and churches, or shoot or torch themselves in front of the White House? Are they Barrabbas, or are they Daniel? This is why I really frown upon the bible. There’s nothing in it that applies to the world of today where a nascent technological intelligence is on the verge of completely destroying the human race, and 99.9% of these monkey brained primates can’t see it. What’s happening now is so biblical that it needs its own bible.

In my view, the article was written using the biblical archtypes as potential considerations for red-pilled survivors. Not those already lost like church shooters or those who would commit suicide.

Maggie

Edit: Stopped at the gateway to Daniel. That was a rather glancing blow at Judas. Really, you turned Barabbas into a freedom fighter whom the people adored and Judas doesn’t get an elevation to “he who controlled the Destiny of the world” giving him a possible out as the
worst friend ever.

My daughter lives outside the continental USA (PR), but has her marching orders in case of what many here fear and has a place waiting for her here. My former sis-in-law, who’s more like a younger sister for many reasons, arrives from NY on Friday for an orientation visit. My first ex (from CT) moved here last year, lives a few miles away. My dad’s ashes are buried beneath the biggest and oldest (100 years plus) tree on the property. My son and my two grandsons (dual nationals, dtr-in-law Argentine) live 60 yards away.

No regrets. I was considered a Cassandra back then, but less and less so these days.

Barabbas was the “I gotta do something even if it’s wrong” type. Judas was the “I know what’s happening” and “I’m going to help fulfill prophecy” type, not realizing his actions were actually fulfilling the wrong prophecies. Daniel is the remnant – those that continue listening to the Spirit of Creator God and refusing false g-o-d-s [ rule makers ].

Nicely written. Those of us who puke out our hasty thoughts in two paragraph comments don’t realize the amount of effort required to produce something like this. However, I don’t think that your referral to biblical characters has any relevance to today’s conditions.. In fact, I actually don’t think that you have described the biblical figures adequately. I can’t comment on this Barrabbas guy as I have never heard of him but we have all heard of Judas and Daniel. I would like to take a minute to focus on Judas.

Judas has been cast, for two thousand years, as the one who betrayed Christ. This action has been promoted by the church as evil and now his very name is used in the common literature as someone who, as you point out, chose monetary gain over friendship. But let’s assume for a moment that the story is for the most part true. That Judas pointed out Christ and that he got paid to do it. Let’s assume that Christ told his followers that someone would betray him and that he would die on the cross. If Christ knew that he was going to be betrayed, then he most surely would have known who would betray him. Judas, being one of his closest followers, was not operating in a vacuum and Christ, being the son of god, was most clearly not operating in a vacuum. If Judas does not betray Christ then Christ can not be captured, tried, and crucified and it is critical that he dies and comes back because the prophecies all tell that it will happen this way. Without Judas, there can be no ascension. You don’t get Christianity without Judas.

So the question is; did Judas and Christ work this all out ahead of time to ensure that the prophecies would come true and Christ would become he who was foretold? And imagine for just a moment how much harder it would be for a true believer in Christ to be the one who condemned his master to death to fulfill the prophesies than to be the one who got a bag of money to betray him.

This is important to your post as your central conceit is that there are people who will sell out their mother or their god for a bag of gold. I don’t deny that people like that exist. I even agree with you in that people such as these work their entire lives to scratch and claw their way into positions of power so they can line their pockets with gold. Hell, every president that we have had for my entire life has taken the job simply so they can line their pockets with gold. Some, like Bill and Hillary, have been really good at it. I am sure that trump will be equally good at it.

But that does not explain how we got into this mess nor does it explain how we are likely to emerge from it. The exception that I take to your post is that biblical allegory does not provide us with a road-map to a better life. In fact, it is more likely that the biblical fog of ancient stories and myths will only serve to obscure the path that we will find ourselves set upon.

So it has been and so it shall ever be.

For all of history those without morals have always set out to find a way to impose their will to enrich themselves. They have chosen outright physical strength if they had it, the mandate from heaven if they did not, the backing of stronger yet more moral supporters, outright lies and deceit, and in many cases, brutal oppression. All of these efforts have been successful because those with morals have chosen to hide from their responsibility. They have chosen the simple path. They wait for someone to rise up so that they may follow. They do this because in any conflict there will always be those who survive and those who perish. The cautious are typically the ones who have a better chance of survival and we all know that. Of course, it doesn’t always work out well for the cautious, and of course there are those who chose to offer their life so that others may throw off the immoral, but in general the moral are less likely to act because they just want to be left alone.

The moral people who just want to be left alone are not Judas’. They may prosper by choosing to ignore the moral calling but they are not immoral. You might call them weak. You might hope that they would forego their own comforts to support your own hope for a brighter future. But they will not. And they will not because they have made the assessment that your brighter future without them is likely not as good as a less bright future with them in it.

So Barrabbas’ and Judas’ and Daniels aside, you have to concentrate on arguments that bring the moral masses to your way of thinking. It doesn’t help to criticize them as immoral opponents and it doesn’t help to offer up religious characters to a group of people who no longer consider those characters to be relevant, or perhaps even real. These arguments, while obvious to you, are irrelevant to them.

I love your conclusions. Your use of alliteration, the imagery that you invoke is very good. But I would like to suggest that perhaps what you are seeing is more likely the great awakening of the participation trophy generation more than anything else. The Hillarys have always existed. They are a direct result of the human condition. It is the antifas and our congressmen that show us how the entitlement of the incompetent has now blossomed into a world of stupid people who no longer think of themselves as stupid. They think that what they think is important. It isn’t. They are stupid.

So once again, I see only one way to move beyond this miasma of stupidity and that is to vote it out of office. But how can you do that if you don’t vote? And who do you vote for if not for the stupid? And given that a fairly large number of merkins are stupid themselves, how do you break through to stop the stupid merkins from voting for the stupid life long congressmen? Term limits have been offered but let’s face it, you can’t ask the wolves to vote out the option of sheep for dinner. You won’t ever get term limits as it is limitless terms that feeds the corruption that lines their pockets with gold. I see only one way. If the merkin people are to cleanse their government of this disease of corruption it can only come through the ballot. As you so eloquently point out, they own all the big guns, all the bullets and all of the interwebs. Our only weapon is the vote and our only response is to vote every single one of them out of office every single time. Never vote for anyone who has served. Never give them a chance to build up their corruption. Once and done.

That is my mantra. That is the path to a cleaner governance. Incompetence in government is far less destructive than malevolence in government ever will be.

RE: Rob @ March 6, 2018 at 10:50 am

Thank you, HR, for both your kind words and keen perspectives.

As I mentioned in the preamble for this piece, my reasons for using the Bible personalities was for “purposes of illustration” and as a ” reference point from which to begin a conversation I believe is important at this time”.

After my initial perusal of your above comment, I am thinking “mission accomplished”.

There is much unpack in what you wrote and I will likely read your words several times over the next few days. At this time, however, I will address only a few of your insights:

I too have questioned the necessity of Judas’ betrayal for the continuation of the ensuing events as written; as well as the construct of “predeterminism” in general. For example, does prophecy negate free will in the Bible? In the instance of Moses and Pharaoh, the Biblical scripture says “God hardened Pharaoh’s heart” (Exodus 9:12). And, in the example of Judas, it said: “Then Satan entered Judas (Luke 22:3). If one accepts these as true, it doesn’t seem fair, does it?

But, give the assumption of free will, you raise a point I was trying, in part, to make in this piece: Whether Judas’ betrayal was the result of him trying to force the hand of his leader – or – pure greed and “cutting one’s losses” so to speak, in either case, Juda’s took matters into his own hands. And whenever any of us do this, it is probably wise to make sure we are on the right side of Providence, or destiny, ‘ya know? That’s what I wanted to discuss here; as well as, perhaps, raising some questions in order to better understand the times in which we now live.

I can tell you are not a Bible guy, but in the Old Testament, it speaks about the sons of Issachar understanding “the signs of the times” and, therefore, knowing “the best course” to take. That’s all I was trying to do here, regardless of the source material.

Coming back to the example of Judas’, I, myself, personally, believe people should be assessed by their actions more than their words. Think about anyone you ever knew who died. At their funeral people stood around and spoke of the deceased in terms of what they did: “Oh that guy was funny… he always told jokes. That other guy? He was such a practical joker always pulling pranks. That one was a drunk. Bob? He was a wife-beater. Jack? A great golfer.” You get the idea.

By that definition then, Judas was a traitor. That’s just how I see it, irrespective of anything else (I am far less “nuanced” than one might discern from my writing).

Regarding the Bible’s point of view on Judas (not that you care) it claims that “whoever hangs from a tree is cursed” and it does say that Judas’ dead body fell upon the rocks, split in two, and his entrails spilled out. So there’s that.

And, finally (for now), I will just say when it comes to insulting one’s ideological opponents: I believe it can be effective in “waking” people from their stupor; like a slap in the face without the actual assault.

Thank you again for taking the time to write down your thoughts above. I really appreciate it and will give your perspectives more consideration as I have the time over the next few days.

Thanks, I to am enjoying this discussion. I agree that it has hit it’s mark. If you think back to my post on evil, you will find that I contend that no man can know what is in any other man’s heart. Those who set down the words that you reference never knew the people that they described in their writing but could only write what they found in their own hearts, given the history that they were presented. This makes imputing intent even harder. But I don’t think that is your point at all. Your writing challenges us all to offer up a path to a brighter future. What that path might be I must admit that I do not know, but I agree with others who have expressed a need to preserve our rights and abilities to defend ourselves and our land with force if necessary. But a better way is the one offered by Christ. We all need to be more civil and much smarter if we are to win others to our way of thinking. TBP is an excellent place to hon our arguments and sharpen out minds.

I wish Stucky could wade in on this one.

Why depict Judas as a sly dog? Maybe Judas was a dumbass and represents all the dumbasses in society. Nobody ever admits that one-third of the population is stupid and would die without the other two-thirds.

There are probably thousands of possibilities, not just one or two.
(A) The government collapses, after losing popular support; the UN invades to “restore order”; chaos breaks out all over.
(B) Nuclear response to societal breakdown.
(C) The patriots win, and restore the Constitution.
(D) The government wins, and darkness descends when it finds it cannot compel the losers to cooperate.
(E) The army wins, and the US becomes a military state.
(F) The SJWs win, and a new Dark Ages begins. It only lasts two years, and enlightenment sweeps the survivors, of whom the SJWs are not.
(G) Once the grid fails from lack of maintenance, the newly-victorious NWO is eaten by their victims.
And so on, and so on …

I’m thinking the US may breakup along regional lines becoming -at least effectively- several separate countries in place of a single one.

@ James – As alluded to in the article, I was envisioning the scenarios funneling into either 1.) U.S. survives under Constitutional Law (CL) or 2.) New World Order (NWO).

I believe the technocracy is in place for a centralized scientific (Agenda 21-style) dictatorship to fill any vacuum in America’s wake.

Here’s what I believe from your possibilities above:

A) NWO
(B) NWO
(C) CL
(D) NWO
(E) NWO
(F) NWO
(G) NWO

It may be a good challenge to explain why (for each) in a future piece.

Thanks for the thought-provoking comment.

We all see miracles around us, and then scream for Barabbas the next day. That’s the fallen nature of man. Every 2nd Tuesday of every other year, I can open the patio door and hear the faint shouting of the crowd, “Barabbas! Barabbas!” He comes in different figures, a thin black man, a fat orange man, but he’s always there.

Such is the nature of man and such is the nature of Democracy, man’s nature in the driver seat. Plato knew this, Cicero knew this, HL Mencken knew this and he was an atheist, yet an atheist who still lived ensconced in the patina of a Christian society. His best line was “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

We’re about to get it really hard. Right down to the obliteration of our pensions. And we will have to come back to the realization of T.S Elliot, “Most of the evil in this world is done by people with good intentions.”

The Bible is clear about the NWO, Rev 13:16: Take the Mark of the Beast (so you can buy and sell in the NWO System) and you will go to Hell. Rev 18:4 says to come out of Her (the NWO) my people. Yes, Conservatives will resist and ultimately have to fight Liberals for their very lives; Conservatives will ultimately win with God’s help and Liberals will fully get what they deserve. If you are a Liberal, wake-up and repent (like the people of Nineveh did) before it is to late.

My staccato thoughts:
1. Thoroughly enjoyed the essay. I have a Barrabbas nature. I try to contain myself, but I often escape.

2. Unabashed, unashamed Christian World View holder. Retired in 2015 immersed myself in prophecy yet fulfilled.

3. I believe we are living in the End Times and the United States plays almost no role in the final decade or so because we are no longer a Superpower or of any international consequence or weight. Economic petro dollar collapse is probably just the trigger. Who knows how we will go at one another after that? Throw in the Rapture further decimating the U.S. at some point before during or after the collapse – have no idea on the exact timing just comfortable with the “season” and you have a hollowed out fractured United States of America.

4. God is not wrapped in the American Flag singing our anthem. The center of Bible prophecy is the Middle East not the from sea to shinning sea fruited plain.

5. One Biblical reference to the remnant is 1 Kings 19:18: “Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

If I am still alive at and live through our approaching massive decline “My Choice” as per the essay title and prayer is to be part of the remnant until the Rapture, whatever its exact timing. I pray about that because I have never been a good martyr.

6. I think Trump has been a reprieve (certainly over the Billary) and the war raging since 1913 by the demonic creatures from Jekyll Island will soon come out into the open. Q or no Q… I pray Trump has successes and buys U.S. time…but No. 4…in whatever is its exact timing is in my mind inevitable during the 2020’s. TICK TOCK on GOD’s CLOCK.

7. Believers are asking is Trump a Cyrus, a Jehu or a Nebuchadnezzar? I don’t pretend to know…but I refer back to No. 3 & 4.

Just for prophecy grins for those interested (not looking to debate anyone just some thoughts) I think here are some upcoming Middle East prophecy events:

• Iran is utterly destroyed through: The Prophecy of Elam Jeremiah 49: 34-39.

• Israel is attacked by all its Arab border neighbors: The Psalm 83 War, winning a greater victory then 1967.

• Ezekiel 38 The Gog of Magog Invasion – Russia and the outer ring of countries (not Israel’s Arab neighbors) get their clocks cleaned by God.

We (the US) could be involved in the first…but are probably reduced from Superpower status by the second and third events.

I also think there is a gap of time in-between the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation and the Anti-Christ rising, could be a few years.

Mark
Mark

Uncola,

Hmmm…haven’t thought of the hair, women, twin pillars….(the Billary/Obama twin pillars too?)

Trump as a type of Sampson:

Rick Wiles: God Raised Up Donald Trump To Be The Samson Of Our Times

“I keep getting this picture that Donald Trump is like this Samson, who has been raised up by God to fight the Philistines and all the Philistines have now turned their attention away from the church, turned their attention away from attacking Christianity, and all of the Philistines are running to Washington to attack Samson. But Samson is strong enough for them. He’s been called. He’s been equipped for this battle. That is his job. That is his assignment. He’s going to beat them down. They will not be able to overtake him. He’s Samson. He was designed by God. He was created for this hour to fight these Philistines.”

A counter view of them all:
Donald Trump is not David, Paul, or Samson

https://pastorgabehughes.blogspot.com/2016/10/donald-trump-is-not-david-paul-or-samson.html

“So again, Donald Trump is not David or Solomon, Paul or Samson, Nebuchadnezzar or Cyrus. He’s Donald Trump. He needs to be held accountable for Donald Trump’s sins, told to repent and believe in Christ Jesus the Lord. By the way, the same goes for Hillary Clinton, also a foul-mouthed, baby-killing, racist woman-hater. She needs to repent for her own sins, too; to be wretched and mourn and weep (James 4:9), and believe in Christ as Savior and King.

This has been a deplorable election. But I believe God in His Sovereignty is not done. I pray that in the midst of such immorality He is raising up moral and godly men and women, who stand upon principled and biblical truth, who are not afraid to speak up, call evil evil, and promote what is good and righteous in the eyes of God. It is when the night is darkest that such stars tend to shine out the brightest (Matthew 5:14-16, Philippians 2:14-16).”

Look at history, and other countries. Argentina nationalized pensions. The USA will nationalize your IRA and 401K. They wouldn’t let Obama do it but if ‘businessman’ Trump says that the government needs to, the sheep will obey. Once the bankers make nearly everyone poor, the people will vote for dependence. This will go on until the taxpayers revolt or the bond and currency markets collapse again, after the collapse ‘solved’ by the pension grab. What believers need to fear most in all of this is the biometric financial tracking which will enable the banksters to continue their fraud until they fully implode the system. See the website link I used [click my screen name.] It’s everything you need to know about were we are at with the Mark of the Beast.

“I am predicting the next decade here so this is thick- but worth the read…

This is a page from L1 Identity Solution’s investor materials*. It shows how L1** plans to petition the government to require their biometric “National ID” (Real-ID) cards (AKA your driver’s license) for banking transactions, transportation and healthcare applications. From there they plan to transition (since by then everybody will need a card) to “Mass adoption”, which will include POS (Point of Sale) terminals (these new fancy cash registers.)
It all sounds a little creepy but harmless until you understand that “biometric” means you will occasionally be required to prove you are the card’s owner by submitting yourself to a scan of your fingerprints (hand), or retina / facial scan (same word as ‘forehead’ in Greek.) Such a scan will eventually be necessary to be permitted to buy anything at at POS terminal. Sound familiar? You are letting a machine give you a name***, which is your number. Ring any bells yet? Requiring a scan to sell (your labor) will be taken care of when the sheeple of the US are sold a biometric ‘right to work’ (EEVS / E-verify) card in the guise of an anti-(illegal) immigration program. SUCKERS! It is so the advertisers (think store ‘loyalty cards’) can track your purchases and the government can track all of their money (it’s not your’s you know.) Most spyware is about ad tracking- there is serious money in surveilling you… but hell if the corporations can pay off (“invest in”) the feds to buy the IDs (with your money) as a ‘security program’ (to make you feel safe from the trrrrrsts), then sell the ad data for big bucks, the only loser is- YOU!

Also note : “Mark”, as in German Mark, may mean money. There are some who claim L1 is working on software that could make this card work as a digital currency. Of course as conspiracies go, the government allegedly already knows this and wants to replace the dollar with a worthless digital currency. Such a currency would automatically come with the ability to “skim the float”, create “bank holidays” at the flip of the switch, instantly seize / freeze assets, and track you and your every transaction like a peon subject.

The Argentine pension system is a bit more complex than I suspect you’ve been led to believe. The equivalent of Social Security was nationalized insofar as its assets are invested in Argentine bonds, but corporate pensions remain private. Public employees, of whom there are far too many, are dependent upon the nationalized system. Retirees (socsec type) now have their pensions adjusted quarterly for inflation and they beat the bejeezus out of the US equivalents if you don’t adjust for dollar value. I paid into the system for 10 years and now get a peso pension that for all practical purposes covers costs for a fairly comfortable life, given that I own my home and property outright and at 71 am not a big spender, given that I grow a lot of my own food. Argentina is a resource-rich country grossly mismanaged for many, many years, but it’s also rich with possibilities and our two-year-old “new” government is making progress, although there’s still a long way to go. Chile, Colombia and Perú are also moving forward, particularly Chile.

I could go on and on, but I won’t.

Uncola I enjoyed your current piece. I will probably be chewing on it for a couple of days.

The left/right brain paradigm is one of many useful ways to categorize the human species. I know I am deficient in right-braininess, but I read I can be helped by long baths accompanied by soft light and classical music and sweet-smelling air. If only I had time.

I find a more useful system of classifying brains by using the MBTI, especially when analyzing the ways people receive and act on information.
The intuitive (the typical TBP reader according to past surveys) tends to rely on his or her gut, freely develops hunches, and tends to engage in abstract and metaphorical thought. Patterns are perceived and focus turns to what might be in terms of future possibilities.

Sensors, on the other hand, use their five senses to gain information. They prefer facts to theories, the concrete here and now to abstractions and possibilities. They reside in an ordered, factual, and sequential universe focused on what is happening in the present.

This explains to me the madness of crowds, specifically the current crowds who buy into the celebrity culture and the noisy, unrelenting political machinations of the left and the lapdog press and technology sectors which do its bidding.

It is estimated that 70-75% of us are Sensors. That means many more tend to respond to and cooperate with the loud voices outside than listen to the small whisper within that suggests not all is as it seems. It’s why democracies always fail and people who steadfastly resist the crowd are persecuted or killed. Which do you think Barrabas was?

Ghost

What if Barrabas was actually being crucified for rebellion against Roman tyranny and brutality against his community? What if he was a local hero and when the crowd calls out “Give us Barrabas” it is because he is a hometown boy, not that odd Nazarene whose cousin John lost his head in the wilderness? What if their choice makes sense?

In fact, American citizens who are employed by American corporations making weaponry for American soldiers are performing a patriotic task and have a large responsibility to “Get It Right” because if they don’t America will fall, and along with it will fall your freedom to criticize them as if they’re evil.
They aren’t. Be thankful for them and give them a little love.

When bombing six countries without a declaration of war is not enough, perhaps seven or eight will suffice.

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.”

Fuck off Mr. Gray. American citizens who are employed by American corporations making weaponry have failed America. Look around douchebag. They got it wrong.

You won’t – and can’t – silence me.

Wait. Did Mr. Gray just call Dwight Eisenhower a commie?

Mr. Gray
Mr. Gray

Was President Eisenhower “perfect”? Hell no. He was actually controversial for embracing some leftist ideals.
“The Military Industrial Complex” is one of them.

The problem with leftists – and most libertarians as well – is that once they get an idea in their heads, it becomes “truth“ to them, to the exclusion of any other idea. It doesn’t matter to them how detrimental that thought may be to America, they are going to believe it no matter what. Apparently you and DD Eisenhower (above) are of the same mind.
Let me give you some advice, junior: stop believing every conspiracy theory that you read on the Internet. Revert your mindset to traditional conservative Christian American values and ideals. Those are what made America the greatest country in the history of the world and – if embraced – are what will make America great again.

The USA has largely been captured by a tiny minority which made up 85% of the Bolshevik leadership. That minority is highly ethnocentric, has never assimilated, has divided loyalties and often dual citizenship. In the words of Tacitus, the Romans regarded them as convicted of hatred of the rest of the humanity. It despises Christians, prefers the muslims who want to kill them, controls the porn industry, and is constantly attempting to suppress the rights of the native citizens of the countries they have invaded. It largely despises conventional morals, and has used political influence and financial gimcrackery to loot the people.
Obviously there are a fair number of exceptions among individuals, but the overall impression is of a powerful parasite gnawing its way through the vitals of America.

Hey Montefrio:

I watch Barrabas every Easter -great movie, when I was traveling in Argentina my contact told me: “we Argentinians eat rice, but with a silver fork and spoon”. Hoping they get back to their formerly 1st world standard of living…

Montefrio

I eat rice myself, but as a side to the best beef you’ll find practically anywhere. A grass-fed, boneless rib-eye steak runs about five bucks a pound. I use plain ol’ stainless steel flatware, but I’m still a gringo and the quality of the food matters more to me than the utensils with which I eat it. Life outside the urban areas isn’t sophisticated, no sushi joints or nightlife to speak of, but my little grandsons are growing up in a rural paradise that brings to mind the Ridgefield, CT, of 50 years ago: no crime, acreage to roam, silence after dark (pretty much all day, actually), friendly shopkeepers, friendly neighbors, no traffic… Seems in many ways 1st world to me, in spite of inconveniences that crop up. Don’t go out to buy avocado toast ’cause I grow ’em right here and we bake our own bread in an outdoor bee-hive oven. If TSHTF up there (and I hope it doesn’t!), we’ll barely notice it, at least not out our way. The cities and some rural areas, however, are 3rd world to the max: no place is perfect.

Thanks for the good wishes! My best to you and yours!

I’m at the back of the bus today so my comments will be buried.

I’m done writing pieces about how we are headed into a morass of failure as a civilization. Things are changing and it’s not just Trump. The ME is changing, Europe is changing. Fuck, even this place is changing.

Now I don’t know how it’s all going to turn out but I know one thing for sure – neither does anyone else. For some reason, people seem to think it can only go one of two ways – back to the way it was or into the shitter.

For some reason, we don’t see other possibilities. I’m not sure why that is. All I know is that it is no longer a bipolar world. It is multipolar. Power is shifting and transforming around us. The possible outcomes are nearly endless. Better to help shape them than to be left behind.

Nice job on the alliteration BTW.

Rdawg

Great comment, FM. You never know what can happen. Much of what we believe as humans stems from conditioning, culture, inertia…I don’t know the right words exactly. For example, take money. Here we have these little slips of paper that can be traded for tangible items. Why? Well because we all agree to it (legal tender laws may have something to do with it too).

I look back on my short life and marvel at things that have already occurred. Take for example the former Soviet Union. I was working in Sweden in 1992 and took a short vacation to St. Petersburg. There were street vendors selling t-shirts that read “The Party’s Over”, with a red circle/slash over the hammer and sickle. Wow. Who would have taken that seriously 5 years before?

World events can and often do happen in an instant. For better or worse, these are indeed interesting times.

Not multipolar? Bipolar. By gender, alive or dead. 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 arms, 2 legs. 2 sides of brain. Day or night. Light and dark. Left and right, logic and emotion, north or south, east or west, always and never, past or future, hot and cold. Rich or poor. Good or evil. Victory or defeat. Large or small. Young or old. Success and failure. All in between – classified by language units marking degrees on the spectrum. Momentum and location on the scale matter, all the time, and every perceived exception has an opposite. One way or the other. Two sides. Two ways. All not predetermined, or locked by time, is one choice or another, identified by direction. Either way. True or false? Choose now. Are you mostly right? Or mostly wrong? Do you care? Or not?

My thoughts are all scattered. I have started a sentence over at least five times. I think I waited too long. I am not a night person anymore. See what I mean? I am rambling.

Deep breath, try to organize your thoughts.

Why is the Bible not relevant today? (I am asking the people who believe this to be true) Is there no application from ancient wisdom that we can apply to our lives in this time period? I can extract much from it that is relevant for our times. Technology does not change human nature.

So, Barabbas was a rebel against Roman tyranny, in case some of you are uninformed about who he was. The gospels only say that he was a murderer, an insurrectionist, a violent rebel. That’s it..nothing else. Anything else we try to read into this character, Barrabas is just pure speculation. The characterization works for the purposes of this essay.

” But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds that they should ask for Barabbas and put Jesus to death.”Matt 27:20

The chief priests and elders persuaded the crowds. Persuaded the crowds…
they controlled the narrative. The elders and chiefs. Whoever controls the narrative and can keep control over it will win. If they see that they are losing control of the narrative (ugh! I am getting so sick of that word) they will become desperate.

Oh wait, they have already become desperate and people are dying so they can try to gain back full control. But they are making mistakes. Huge glaring mistakes so that even normies are beginning to see it.

I think we have a lot of Barabbas here in the U.S. Now we don’t know who Barabbas murdered. Probably a Roman when he was in a battle. I found this tidbit about him:
“It is possible that Barabbas was merely a robber or highwayman, but more likely, given the use of the term ληστής (lhsth”) in Josephus and other early sources, that he was a guerrilla warrior or revolutionary leader. See both R. E. Brown (John [AB], 2:857) and K. H. Rengstorf (TDNT 4:258) for more information. The word λῃστής was used a number of times by Josephus (J. W. 2.13.2-3 [2.253-254]) to describe the revolutionaries or guerrilla fighters who, from mixed motives of nationalism and greed, kept the rural districts of Judea in constant turmoil.”

The author seems to see nationalism as a bad thing.

It was no longer the state of Israel but some rebels were constantly trying to get the Romans out of Jerusalem.

I can see parallels to the Barrabas character and patriots here if things go south.

I will have to address the other two characters later.

How many people laughed at the first paragraph in the essay? I did. I sent this to my cousin. He is a retired roads and bridges engineer after spending his youth, well into his early thirties as a musician and a draftsmen, his wife “persuaded” him quit music go back to school and get his degree. So his mom’s baby grand piano never gets used anymore and is just a piece of furniture, now. It’s such a shame, he was quite good.

So Catherine Austin Fitts was accused of calling Q “hope porn”. I didn’t hear her say that, but someone else did in another thread.

Greg Hunter interviewed her yesterday and a large majority of what came out of her mouth I would definitely call hope porn. Either she changed her mind or she never said any such thing. No one mentioned Q but at least 10 minutes of the video talked about purges and pedo. She said the purges are real but is concerned the people behind most of the pedo may not be taken down, doesn’t say why she thinks that, at least I didn’t hear a reason.

If you don’t want to hear anything hopeful, there is a bit of doom in there as well but not enough to rain on the parade of the hopeful.

I am going to write moar later about this but thought I would start with this. Interesting that you led off piece with a bit about Left and Right Brains. I never really thought about it before but society does split much the same way and probably for the same reasons. I did the test and I am right brained. A bit of a surprise but then again maybe it shouldn’t be seeing as I am left handed.

Anyways… I have at various times in my life been to varying degrees all those men.

Barrabbas the Fighter until I realized that I could not beat the Man
Judas Iscariot when I got tired of being poor.
Daniel after I became a subversive here on TBP.

Lately I have put them all aside. I have become somewhat indifferent to the farce.
Might be why I am posting less.
Maybe it is time to try a fourth Archetype.

Be Saul on the Road to Damascus but this time not in the religious sense.

Might it be time to have some faith in Q throwing the dice.
Maybe.. though I still haven’t made up my mind.

I’m thinking about it. I wanted to tell you what a great comment I thought it was, but then thought that seemed condescending; like a teacher handing out gold stars and participation trophies.

Indeed.

My right brain tears transience from time’s fabric. My left-brain categorizes and catalogs. By definition, “faith” is trusting what can’t be seen, or know, and “hope” is the desire for that trust to be correct. That’s how I see it.

Or, like dice, maybe faith is one side of the coin and hope is the toss.

I, too, want everything Q alludes to profess to be right on the money (pun intended). However, until I know for sure, I won’t gamble with what I can’t afford to lose.

In the meantime, I just want to say “thanks”. I appreciate what you wrote.
