Another mailman busted for stealing thousands of letters

The Russians did it. Part of Putin’s master plan to destroy America. We need more sanctions. Lets bomb something. The mail just keeps coming and coming.

Another mailman busted for stealing thousands of letters

An overwhelmed mailman stole over 17,000 pieces of mail hoarding them in his car, apartment and work locker, according to a Brooklyn federal complaint.

Aleksey Germash — a Russian immigrant — is charged with delaying or detaining mail after stockpiling the parcels for 12 years during his 16 years with the US Postal Service where he worked in Dyker Heights Brooklyn, according to the complaint.

Officials in April were tipped off to a blue Nissan Pathfinder belonging to Germash that had 20 full USPS blue mail bags inside, according to court papers.

When questioned about it Germash said he would take the mail from work to his Brooklyn apartment adding that, “he was overwhelmed by the amount of mail that he had to deliver and made sure to deliver the important mail,” court documents state.

Authorities found 10,000 pieces of mail in his car, 1,000 in his work locker and another 6,000 at his home with the oldest piece of mail dating back to 2005, according to the complaint.

Germash appeared in Brooklyn federal court on Thursday — wearing his postal uniform — and was released on $25,000 bail.

Germash — who faces up to five years in prison if convicted — declined to comment as he left court.

17000 pieces of mail in a 12 year period averages about 1400 pieces a year. That’s 118 pieces a month or 29 pieces of mail a week or 4 friggin extra pieces of mail a day. Aleksey you really are one lazy Ruskie.

Our mail carrier is white….and none of her “other-colored” fill-ins can manage one bit.
