That joking retort we heard as children, “Is the pope Catholic?” is starting to look like a serious question.

Asked five years ago about a “gay lobby” in the Vatican, Pope Francis responded, “If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge?”

As judgment was thought to be part of the papal job description, traditional Catholics were startled at what the new pope had volunteered.

Now the Holy Father has apparently fleshed out what he meant.

According to a childhood victim of a pedophile priest in Chile, Juan Carlos Cruz, a homosexual to whom the pope apologized, Francis said: “God made you like this and loves you like this and I don’t care. The pope does love you like this. You have to be happy with who you are.”

The Vatican has not denied what Cruz relates.

What makes this remarkable is that the catechism of the Catholic Church, based on the Old and New Testament and tradition, has always taught that homosexuality is a moral disorder, a proclivity toward sexual relations that are unnatural and immoral.

The idea that God is responsible for homosexual orientations, that the pope and the Catholic Church are fine with men being attracted to one another, and that those so oriented should be happy with it, appears, on its face, to be heresy.

It implies that what Catholics regarded for centuries as moral truth was wrong, or that moral truth has evolved and must be made to conform to modernity. This is moral relativism: Truth changes with the times.

And if what Cruz reports is accurate, the pope’s position is close to Hillary Clinton’s.

In 2016, at a New York fundraiser, Clinton recited her infamous litany of sins common to the “basket of deplorables” backing Donald Trump.

Said Hillary, they are “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic.”

A phobia is “an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.” Clinton was thus saying that those who have an aversion to homosexuality are morally or mentally sick.

Yet, up until December 1973, homosexuality itself was listed as a mental disorder by the American Psychiatric Association.

The new morality we hear from the pope and Hillary reflects a historic change in the moral thinking of the West. For the belief that homosexuality is normal and natural, and not only acceptable but even praiseworthy, has carried the day.

Legislatures and courts have written this “truth” into law. It has been discovered by the Supreme Court to be lurking in that Constitution whose authors regarded and treated homosexuality as a grave crime.

And, yet, from this historic change, questions naturally arise:

On the issue of homosexuality, have we ascended to a higher moral plateau? Or has America jettisoned the truths we believed and replaced them with the tenets of an ideology that may be politically and culturally ascendant but is rooted in nothing but baseless assertions and lies?

Consider the views of Cardinal Gerhard Muller, lately removed as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, as to what is behind the drive to have “homophobia” regarded as a mental disorder.

“Homophobia (is) an invention and an instrument of the totalitarian dominance over the thoughts of others. The homo-movement is lacking scientific arguments, which is why it created an ideology which wants to dominate by creating its own reality.”

In short, cultural Marxists and their progressive allies have taken an ideological assertion — homosexuality is normal, natural and moral — without any historical, biological or scientific basis, and asserted it as truth, established it as law, and demanded that we accept and act upon this truth, or face the wrath of the regime.

Said Muller: “It is the Marxist pattern according to which reality does not create thinking, but thinking creates its own reality. He who does not accept this created reality is to be considered as being sick.

“It is as if one could influence an illness with the help of the police or with the help of courts. In the Soviet Union, Christians were put into psychiatric clinics. These are the methods of totalitarian regimes, of National Socialism and of Communism.”

As Russell Kirk wrote, ideology is political religion. And the dogmas of the political religion by which we are increasingly ruled have displaced the teachings of Christianity and tradition.

Since the Stonewall Riot of 1969, homosexual relationships have gone from being seen as indecent and immoral, to being tolerated, to being accepted, to being on the same plane as traditional marriage, to being a constitutional right.

And if you do not accept the new morality, you are a deplorable bigot. And if you act on your disbelief in the equality of homosexuality, you will be ostracized and punished.

The truths being jettisoned built the greatest civilization known to man. Will the invented truths of our new egalitarianism survive the arrival of the new barbarians? It’s not looking all that good right now.

No one experiencing temptation should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God is not subject to temptation to evil, and He himself tempts no one. Rather, each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. James 1:13-14.

During the months I was a Catholic in training, I learned that the Bible is a minor document overridden by huge Catholic Traditions. You might as well be quoting the Constitution to a Liberal. That led me to have a very sharp break with Catholic Period.

This is what the Church teaches (and has always taught) on the subject of homosexuality:

Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.” They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Catechism of the Catholic Church 2357-2359

Bergoglio can neither change, adjust, nor abrogate anything in the above explanation of Catholic teaching on homosexuality. He is measurably damaging the Church and destroying the Faith of millions with his constant and deliberate obfuscation and use of vague and imprecise language in regard to Catholic teaching on this subject and many others. Neither he, nor the hierarchy will come forward and correct the many misinterpretations and outright heresies that are abroad in the world due to either the abject stupidity or deliberate malice of this man. Those few who do speak out are censured. This failure to defend authentic teaching and to foster doubt among the faithful in the revealed truth of Christ are the surest signs any Catholic needs to come to the conclusion that Bergoglio is an anti-pope and that the hierarchy is shot through with fellow travelers.

These men and their machinations are the current personification of the “gates of hell” of which Christ spoke. There have been many other such snakes that have attempted to destroy the Church through the ages. Bergoglio and his henchmen will fail as have all the others. Hard times are upon us, but as we all know, hard times produce strong men and this Argentinian Marxist will not survive the cultural and spiritual house cleaning that approaches.

EWTN compromised. Mother Angelica is spinning in her grave.

Posted: 4/12/2017

Irondale, AL (EWTN) – Pope Francis has appointed EWTN Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw as a Consultor to the Vatican’s Secretariat for Communications. The appointment was announced at the Vatican on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. As a consultor, Warsaw will have a role in advising the Pope and the Holy See on matters related to media and communications. The appointment comes as part of a broad restructuring of the media operations of the Vatican.

“I am extremely humbled and honored by the Holy Father’s appointment,” said Warsaw. “This is a tremendous recognition of the role which EWTN plays in the life of the Church throughout the world. I am grateful to Pope Francis for his confidence and look forward to serving the universal Church in this post.”

Warsaw joined EWTN in 1991 and has held senior management positions in the areas of television production, satellite operations and technical services. He became President of EWTN in 2000 and assumed the post of chief executive officer in 2009. Warsaw was named chairman of the board of EWTN in 2013. In that capacity he oversees the Network’s strategic direction and mission around the world. With the Network’s 2011 acquisition of the National Catholic Register, Mr. Warsaw assumed the role of publisher of that newspaper.

Prior to joining EWTN, Mr. Warsaw was employed by the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Catholic University of America, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and the Catholic Distance University.

The Secretariat for Communications was established by Pope Francis in an apostolic decree on June 25, 2015. Among its responsibilities, it has the task of carrying out the restructuring, reorganization and consolidation of the various communications outlets of the Holy See including the Vatican Television Center, the Vatican Publishing House, L’Osservatore Romano newspaper, Vatican Radio, the Holy See Press Office, Photographic Service and the Vatican Internet Service. The office is headed by Monsignor Dario Vigano, who serves as Prefect.

Let’s all be fairies! This entire thing has become tedious and nauseating. The pope is a nutcase, an anti-American Argentine leftist. It is a little-known fact that homosexuality, male and female, as well as weird sex perversions were always a hallmark of the Latin American extreme left, despite Fiderl Castro’s valient efforts to project a macho image. Latin American guerrillas and terrorists were often no more than gangs of murderous fruitcakes. Now we have this kook telling the fudge packers all is OK! God help us all.

Any “man” who says he has gone beyond sexual desire, and is immune to his instinctual drives, usually turns out to be a sodomite and/or pedophile. A sane man would never willingly give up the joys of sexual release. Usually, when you try to short ciruit normal desires they come back ten-fold in strange manifestations. Of course the King of Ass Fuckers would not cast shame on his fellow cocksuckers.

The catlicks defeated the muslims in Spain, yes. However it was Vlad Dracula who stopped the muslim advance from the east. Vlad was an Orthodox Xtian so give them their due as well.

As for the influence on western civilization, I really think it would have been much better off if Xerxes had defeated those pesky Greeks at Salamis. The Roman Empire would have been Zoroastrian, which is a much more advanced, rational and humane faith than Christianity, plus it doesn’t put Jews on a fucking pedestal either, Cyrus the Great notwithstanding.

The “beginning of the end” of traditional Catholicism was sealed with the infiltration of the Catholic Church “Vatican II Ecumenical Council” of the 1960s by Jews and Protestants who were involved in the “modernization” of the Catholic Church.
Much Catholic ritual was discarded, as well as the promotion of the absolution of the Jews for Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and death, despite vitriolic Jewish hatred of Jesus Christ and Christianity which exists to this day. The fact is, the Jews DID get the Romans to crucify Jesus Christ and DID accept full responsibility for the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. As is the case today, they got others (Pontius Pilate) do do their “dirty work” for them…
Abandoning the use of Latin in the Mass destroyed its “universality”. Previous to Vatican II, one could attend Mass anywhere in the Roman Catholic world and understand the meaning of the Mass.
Prohibition of the celebration of the Tridentine Mass (except by special ecclesiastical permission) pushed many Catholics away from the new “Modern Mass” and the New Church, in general…It took a brave Archbishop Lefebvre and the Society of St. Pius X to “push back” against Vatican II and re-legitimize the celebration of the pre-Vatican II Tridentine Mass and other Catholic rites.
In pre-Vatican II times, the priest (celebrant of the Mass) was considered to be a part of the congregation, and a representative of the people.
By turning the priest around to face the congregation, the priest was no longer a representative, but an “actor”, diminishing his status and importance.
One area where the Catholic Church could improve itself involves celibacy, which is NOT Church “dogma” or doctrine. Celibacy was put in place during the middle ages in order to keep Church property from being inherited by family and relatives of priests and bishops. Celibacy was based on purely financial considerations–nothing more. It is interesting to note that Episcopal (Anglican) priests who convert to Catholicism can bring their families with them to the Church while Roman Catholic priests are denied marriage.
It was a grave mistake by the Church to de-legitimize pre-Vatican II principles.

No one answered the question in the title; — “Can a Pope Change Moral Truth?”.

Theoretically and logically “No!” …. not if Truth is absolute. Romans 1:26 states;

“Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones; in the same way, men committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

Now, either woman-woman sex or man-man sex is “unnatural” and “shameful”, or it is not. Such acts either come with a “penalty”, or they do not.

The statements seem absolute to me. But, the “or not” crowd will go to great lengths (word studies in the original language, cross referencing, advanced linguistics, etc.) to discredit those who believe there is no wiggle room as to absoluteness in Romans 1:26. Inevitably, the argument will conclude with “who are you to judge!!” … replete with verses which turn the argument on its head by blaming the accuser.

And quicker than you can say “#HomoLivesMatter” one is stuck in the Swamp of Ambiguous Relativity. The church’s cultural understanding of the past 2,000+ years doesn’t matter. The teachings of myriads of saints and sages no longer matters. In fact, nothing matters except political correctness, including everybody, and most importantly, never ever hurting someones feelings.

Theory, logic, and absolutism are thrown out the window. Subjectivity rules the day. And in such a devilishly devious dastardly manner, the Pope issues an opinion … and even though that opinion may be loathed by millions of his followers, the fact of the matter is that he IS the Pope, and that erroneous opinion will eventually be accepted as normal (as history proves that Popes have made many many such errors over the millennia that did, in fact, “stick”). In theory, the Pope cannot change moral truth. In actuality, he just did.

[Side Note: My own personal opinion is that if there is a hell, this Pope just condemned himself there as the next Crispy Pontiff. He’ll have a lot of company.)

I think Paul drove it home on several occasions. If anyone cares to crack the Good Book. The middle east had a lot of dude on dude stuff going on at the time, and still does today.

I think no one answered the question because it’s so painfully obvious as a NO. Even Catholics would say that. Which begs the question, is anyone really Catholic anymore? A real Catholic would have to adhere to the man sitting in “Peter’s Chair.” Only this Pope would suck off Satan himself to keep from being crucified upside down.

What these articles teach us is that there’s a conservative Protestant denomination near you that you should check out. I took that advice and could never imagine going back.

I come to you at a critical time in United States history — following the election of our 45th president — with an important request: Please pray!

As a Messianic Jew and leader of one of the oldest Jewish missions in the world, my heart longs to see a favorable relationship between America and the nation of Israel, and I know yours does too.

So today, I am issuing a call to prayer for our new presidential administration — and others in national and church leadership positions — to seek the face of the Jewish Messiah for the good of His chosen people.

Here are the top five reasons why it is important to pray for the peace of Jerusalem —

1. Because the re-establishment of the nation of Israel in the Land is a sign of God’s faithfulness.

It’s hard to believe that modern Israel was re-established such a short time ago, but it is a signpost of God’s faithfulness to His covenants and promises. The survival of the Jewish people and their return to the Promised Land of Israel is a clear testimony that God keeps the promises of His Word.

How much more, then, can we trust Him to honor His promise in Genesis 12:3Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) to bless those who bless Israel?

2. Pray because Israel is our best ally in the Middle East.

The United States and Israel share a long history — with the U.S. being one of the first to recognize Israel in 1948.

Since Israel’s founding as a nation, she has been supported by the U.S. military and also by our presidents — and the Jewish people have proven to be loyal allies and valuable friends in the Middle East. Our prayers for Israel keep this alliance strong.

3. Pray because of the many Jewish people who are coming to the Messiah!

By God’s grace — and thanks to the prayers and generosity of friends like you — Israelis and other Jewish people across the globe are open to the Gospel, Hebrew-speaking congregations are growing, and many younger Israelis are coming to faith in Jesus the Messiah!

Two years ago, when Chosen People Ministries first began seeing this growth, I said that I hadn’t seen such vitality of the Good News in my 40+ years of ministry. Yet the growth continues to exceed my expectations today!

Our God is great, ever-faithful to His people — and I know He delights to hear and answer our prayers for Israel to discover the Messiah she has waited for!

4. Pray because the Jewish people gave the world the Bible and the Messiah!

The Good News came out of Israel — and it is our joy and privilege to pray that they, too, will receive it. And not only to pray, but to actively share this loving and transformational message of the Messiah with Jewish seekers — person-to-person, heart-to-heart.

5. Pray because Psalm 122:6 Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) actually commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

This Psalm — attributed to King David — instructs the people of God: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’”

And it’s interesting to note: the very name Jerusalem includes this hope for peace.

The last part of Jerusalem, “salem,” comes from the Hebrew word “shalom,” which means peace, wholeness and completeness.

When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem we are praying for the cessation of temporal hostilities — such as terror and missile attacks, and the enmity that exists between Israelis and Palestinians. But most of all, we are praying for the eternal peace that will come with the return of the Messiah.

Our hope is for the personal peace of those who live in the Holy Land!

And there is a blessing — “may they prosper who love you” — attached to this call to prayer that hearkens back to the Abrahamic Covenant outlined in Genesis 12:3Open in Logos Bible Software (if available):

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

It is remarkable that the promise in Psalm 122:6Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) is for those who “love Jerusalem,” and therefore we understand that the these prayers are motivated by love for God’s holy city.

The root of the Hebrew term used for “prosper” is shalah, which can be translated as to “put at ease” or to “quiet.” The prosperity described is therefore not a material blessing, but a quality of soul and life. This enables those who love Jerusalem to enjoy personally a similar peace as is enjoyed by God’s chosen city.

Those who bless Israel are participating in the unfolding of God’s promises to the Jewish people — and praying for the peace of Jerusalem is one of the most important ways you and I can do this. When we do, we will receive what money can never buy — His presence in our lives, which is the very source of both shalom and shalah!

Thank you for praying for the peace of Jerusalem — for the Prince of Peace to reign in the hearts of individuals in the Land of Israel and across the globe — and for God’s chosen people to experience the abundant life that the Messiah promised so many years ago (John 10:10Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)).

Please also remember to pray for the work of Chosen People Ministries in Israel. And because many Jewish people come face to face with the Gospel message at this time of year due to the worldwide celebration of Christmas, now is the time to step up our efforts and increase our outreach to those searching for answers online.

As you know, Chosen People Ministries is deeply committed to wisely stewarding our financial resources. We take great care not to spend more than God provides.

This is why I am boldly asking you to be as generous as possible today, so that we can reach as many Jewish people as possible with the Good News of Jesus the Messiah this Christmas.

The cost to reach one person by placing online ads and printing and sending the free Isaiah 53 Explained book is just $5. You can reach 1,000 people for $5,000 … 100 people for $500 … or 10 people for just $50.

Please pray — ask God how He would have you respond — and give generously online today as He leads.

Thank you in advance for your prayer and partnership. I pray that the Lord will fill your heart with thanksgiving and joy!

Yours in Messiah,

Dr. Mitch Glaser
President, Chosen People Ministries
