Yup. And let’s not forget the 2.5 million homeless children in America either.
And WORSE, most of those parents are in prison for thinking that THEY, not the government, owned their bodies. They also chose to self-medicate with a drug that did not have a powerful lobbying group, was NOT giving massive kickbacks to any election campaign fund or Swiss bank account, and was not protected by the criminals at the FDA. Add to that every other consensual act that involved two voluntary participating, consensual adults that the government was NOT getting a financial “piece” of (and thus made it illegal), and you have most of the crimes the left used to be in favor of “legalizing” once.

I guess someone who thinks that its ok to use the violence and guns of government to promote “their” vision of morality. Some just aren’t prepared to share “freedom” with others. Some may not feel that the “left” has supported freedom in these areas, but far more of them have claimed support than those on the “right,” despite prisons, the war on drugs, etc. being massive and wasteful government programs the “right” should oppose on principle.

Grandparents should raise their grandchildren; they have perspective and something to say. Parents should fund this effort and realize that their job is to be grandparents in training. Thus as it ever was.

It is indeed a problem to have 2.7 million children separated from their incarcerated parents. The solution is to imprison or neuter said parents before they have children.
