A Garden of Idiots

It is axiomatic that the political class of a society is a reflection of the culture. That culture is what grows out of the biology of the people, but there is an interplay between culture and biology. The ethnic differences between Swedes and Danes, or even Swedes and Prussians, are trivial, at least in the purely biological sense, but, the culture of Swedes, Danes and Prussians are different in important ways. For that matter, the culture that produced The Lion of the North was very different from that of modern Sweden.

Another way of looking at this is that the type of men in leadership of a society are a reflection of the political culture. At the Founding, the political class of the American colonies was fertile ground. Even adjusting for two plus centuries of propaganda, the men that birthed America were extraordinary in quality and quantity. One or two great minds makes for a special generation of men. The 18th century colonial political class produced many great minds, indicating an amazingly fertile political soil at the time.

On the other side of this, during the same period, is the French aristocracy. One of the remarkable things about that period is that the political class had no able men. The history of the French Revolution is the story of one missed opportunity after another to reform and respond to the changes sweeping the country. All the famous names from that period are from well outside the political elite. The only reason anyone remembers Marie Antoinette is she lost her head over remarks attributed to her that she most likely never said.

Anyway, this comes to mind when seeing a story like this one.

Conservatives should “fight back” against the alt-right and white nationalists, and do a better job reclaiming classic terms to stamp out identity politics, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said on Thursday.

“We have to go back and fight for our ground and re-win these ideas and marginalize these guys the best we can to the corners,” Ryan said. “Do everything you can to defeat it.”

Ryan made the comments in conversation with National Review senior editor Jonah Goldberg. The two conservatives spoke at an event hosted by the American Enterprise Institute. Ryan had harsh words for the alt-right, an umbrella term for extreme right-wing individuals who reject mainstream conservatism and often embrace racism and white supremacy.

“That is not conservatism. That is racism. That is nationalism. That is not what we believe in. That is not the founding vision, that is not the founders’ creed,” Ryan said.

That goes beyond stupid. It is offensively stupid. Even today, grammar school civics lessons make clear that the Founders were crafting a new nation. The entirely of the founding myth is based on “creating a new nation in the wildness.” The Founders were so nationalistic, they even wrote it into the preamble of the Constitution.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

That is the very essence of nationalism. Now, Paul Ryan is entering that phase that reminds everyone why it is best to make a change as soon as it is clear a change must be made. When the employee puts in their notice, pay them their two weeks and send them home. Ryan is now unburdened from the need to lie about his true opinions, so he is speaking his mind, what little there is of it. That just underscores the fact that this feckless airhead is the best the current political class has been able to produce.

Ryan is not an isolated example. His predecessor was a raging alcoholic who would burst into tears at public events. Before him we had Nancy Pelosi, a women on so many psychiatric drugs she rattles when she walks. Look around at the elected officials and it is hard to find someone you would trust to run the second shift at a convenience store. Our political culture is not just a garden overrun with weeds. The weeds took over a long time ago and now there is nothing but weeds. It produces no men of merit.

It is not just a consequence of democracy. Take a look at the conspirators involved in the sedition scandal. Former CIA Director John Brennan, who helped form the conspiracy, is a former communist. He supported the Communist Party candidate in the 1976 election and it was not an act of protest. He was an actual communist. Today he is an unhinged fanatic who goes on social media demanding a military coup against the President. Again, this man was the head of the CIA under Obama. The CIA. How is this even possible?

It does not just stop there. Look at the “intellectual” side of the ruling culture. Paul Ryan gave that interview to Jonah Goldberg, who is waddling around with the title “Senior Fellow” at what is supposed to be a prestigious think tank. Probably the most famous public intellectual in the academy right now is Steven Pinker, who is prone to the most basic logical fallacies. The American college campus is a doctrinaire breeding ground for narrow minded fanatics hellbent on pulling the roof down on Western Civilization.

The political culture of a society can break off from the general culture or even start as an alien over class, as in the case of invasion. The French political class in the 18th century was so divorced from the rest of the kingdom, they as well have been foreigners. The Russian political class, what little there was of of it at the end of the 19th century, was wholly disconnected from the culture of the Russian Empire. There’s certainly a strong whiff of that in present day America. Our rulers are nothing like us now.

Even so, whatever the source material for the current ruling elite, what it is producing is of such poor quality, it suggest a very bad end. Donald Trump is our guy, but let’s face it, he should not be President. If he is what is necessary to prevent the country’s political class from strangling the rest of us through staggering idiocy, it is past time to think weeding the garden is enough. This garden of idiots is beyond the point where a good dose of weed killer will work. It’s time to plow it under and salt the earth, starting fresh elsewhere.

“but let’s face it, he should not be President.” Don’t be such a cuck. He is exactly who should be our President. He is a battle hardened guy who has been dealing with the media and playing on an ultra high level running an enormous operation that does complex things for 50 years. He doesn’t need more money, he doesn’t need more pussy, he probably can’t be bought. The perks of the job are a downgrade from the lifestyle he had before. He doesn’t even take a salary. Who would you rather have as President?

I agree with the Zman. He isn’t saying that Trump isn’t a good president under the current circumstances, but rather he is saying that the circumstances shouldn’t be bad enough that we need someone like Trump. In a saner world Trump would be a bad choice for president. However, the world isn’t going to get any saner under our current trajectory. The crazed leftists and the Deep State will never give up. They are either going to get their way, which will obviously have a disastrous outcome, or they will continue to ratchet up the rhetoric and violence until we end up in a literal civil war, which will also be a disastrous outcome.

How can you think that this is going to end well when you have a senile actor, a CIA spook, a retarded sex fiend, a drugged out coward, a gay muslim, and now a reality tv show star as president. If that isn’t weeds, then I can’t imagine what grows in your garden…but I bet you don’t want to eat it. The shit show that is .gov does nothing but grow more corrosive, more corrupt. If you are going to use a metaphor you should at least be knowledgeable about the choice of subject. Z-man doesn’t understand that “weeds” are not a class of plants, they are simply any type of plant growing where you do not wish for it to appear. Some people think of dandelions or Bermuda grass as weeds if they have a zoysia for a lawn. To a grazier they are nutrient rich, high protein forage for his livestock.

Plants appear where they conditions are ripe for them to grow. Poor soil and drought like conditions result in the spread of Lamb’s Ear, for example, a prized planting of landscapers and tomatoes- often cultivated in rows by farmers or pots by gardeners- spring up randomly as ‘volunteers’ in composted manure piles turning out crop yields three or four times larger than commercially produced vines.

We have these people in positions of power because the political climate and the soil- the place of one’s birth etymologically speaking- is perfect for their kind. We are the weeds and that’s why they are so bound and determined to rid the world of Heritage Americans and any seeds we may leave behind.

Or as Jordon Peterson pointed out, any human endeavor directed to a goal that has value is going to lead to a hierarchy. This is inevitable and is caused by the difference between humans in the basic traits of humanity. Some are going to be better at achieving the goal and will thereby gather the wealth in greater proportion. And equally, all hierarchies will devolve into corruption. This too is inevitable and is in the same way caused by the differences between humans in their basic traits.

Just as HSF has so beautifully pointed out above, you and I are the ones who abdicated our responsibility by making the assumption that voting was the only contribution that we needed to make to the governance of our country. We are the fertile soil that leads to the corruption that we so hate. Seeing as you can never win against their guns, you are restricted to either sitting idly by and doing nothing, or banding together to “throw the bums out.” The reason you are loosing ground to the communists is because they naturally band together and you naturally wish to go your own way and be left alone. There is no “left alone” in a representative democracy. You have to band together with clear goals in the clear knowledge that those goals are going to lead to a hierarchy that will become corrupt. If you don’t band together you will find that you can no longer send you kids to college. You can no longer drive your car to work. You can longer get HSF’s maple syrup. You will loose it all because you didn’t tend to your garden. It does not matter whether you want dandelions in your garden or tomatoes. All that matters is that you go out and rip up the ones that you don’t want.

I’m not sure it’s Heritage Americans so much as it’s thinking Americans. I criticized the idea that some new immigrants are ‘loyal’. I meant that they have no criteria, no set of rules by which to judge the situation, on the surface everything is great, lots of stores and stuff to buy. Below the radar, a new government has formed and it is hostile to criticism. New arrivals and morons will accept things as they are. They don’t want people asking why or dreaming of new things and asking why not.

The ZOG are cultivating the weeds with money and power to choke out the Patriots and the Righteous. Reagan and JFK weren’t perfect but they were on our side; so is Trump. Attacking him is getting in bed with Waters, Pelosi, Schumer, McCain, Soros, etc. We are in a “Cold War” with “The Powers of Darkness”. I think you should reconsider supporting the goals of Antifa and the Communist; I’d support the far extreme Alt-Right before them.

If this culture has given us Trump, it has also reserved rational folks that know extremism works only for a little while. Napoleon and Churchill come to mind. There is a reason that we have civilian control over the military, otherwise the Pattons and MacArthurs would keep on bombing until everything was rubble.

The reason is obvious. All elites self select by nature. They cultivate their own culture over generations until the end result is a rare strain of hothouse flowers that can’t survive outside of ideal temperatures. Anyone who doesn’t fit into this culture is naturally expelled.

Our current elite is derived from the great remake and changeover of our government in the 1930’s. Read some of the names that emerged in government at that time and their grandkids are now running the show.

Elites don’t change over until there is a massive government upheaval. The 1960’s and 70’s were a cultural upheaval, not a government one, the elites stayed in place during that time.

Our current crop of elites is wholly inept. Much like Marie Antoinette they wouldn’t even know what’s happening to them as the guillotine drops.

It is sad that Ryan and other “cuckservatives” never fought for the supposed conservative principles as they have fought building the wall, defunding Planned non-Parenthood, repealing Obungholecare and so many other things. They have been stellar backstabbers.
Their obtuse behavior is never more apparent than when they never mention Brennan and his coterie calling for a coup and overthrow of our elected government but have apoplectic shit hemorrhages that Michael Scheuer suggests that in order to prevent the overthrow of Trump and the 3rd world invasion of our borderless country we just might need to consider killing all these fuqueres some day soon.

Ryan is just the last of a long line of RINOs who don’t realize their world is dead and gone. It is a lot like the Democrats in 1968 making their nominee Hubert Humphrey while the ‘New Left’ rioted outside.

The Democrats spent the next 20 years trying to put FDR’s old coalition back together not understanding you can’t raise the dead.

Then the GOP did the same thing- trying to put the Reagan coalition back together even as the voters that elected Reagan were dying off. Dubya won twice, not because he was charismatic but, like his father before, only because he had such a lacklustre Democrat nominees to run against.

Now Trump is putting together a new coalition. Demographics are against him and both he and Democrats know this. It is why he is doing what he can to restrict immigration, accelerate deportations, overhaul the 2020 census and hopefully reconfigure the SCOTUS to buy enough time for him to MAGA.
