The No Fly License

Guest Post by Eric Peters

The Orwellian spin cycle is picking up speed.

From “parking services” – i.e., the government worker who puts parking tickets under your car’s windshield wiper – to the “shared responsibility payments” being extorted by the IRS on behalf of the health insurance mafia as punishment for declining to be mulcted by the insurance mafia – to the “upgraded” driver’s licenses being pushed on people, without which you’ll be degraded by not only being  denied permission to leave the country, you’ll be denied permission to travel (by air) within the country.

You’ll also be denied permission to enter “secure” federal buildings – though that one’s not so onerous because who wants to enter federal buildings. Most of us enter them because we have to – so there is one upside to thee “upgraded” licenses.

Which are only incidentally driver’s licenses.

They are really national ID cards.

The REAL ID card, as they’re styled.

And the “upgrade” – as that is styled – is trackable biometric tagging, just the right word. Like the ear tags ranchers use to keep track of their cattle.

Without which they aren’t allowed beyond the barbed wire. Just like us.

The REAL ID will also plug the cow – whoops, person – into “ . . .national linked databases allowing millions of employees at all levels of government around the national to access personal data.”

That data being … everything.

Not just your DMV record, date of birth, sex and the usual data pertaining to driving. The REAL ID will tie everything about you that’s been uploaded to government/corporate data bases into one easily accessible (by the government and corporations) place. When an armed government worker pulls you over, he’ll be able to know you better than your spouse does just by scanning your card. Also your bank, employer and everyone else you’re forced to ID yourself to.

And if you don’t get the REAL ID?  It’s the reservation for you.

How did this happen?

The REAL ID Act was imposed upon Americans back in 2005 by the enemies of freedom – that is, by George W. Bush, his puppet master, Dick Cheney and the politicians of both the Democrat and Republican persuasion – who voted to rescind the freedoms of Americans in the aftermath of the (ahem) terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

In the name of “fighting terror,” Americans would be terrorized – forced to submit to fingerprinting, retinal-scanning and other such biometric cattle tagging in order to travel . . . anywhere.

Including within the United States.

In order to transact business . . . with anyone.

Without the REAL ID, you will be functionally excommunicated from American life.

There were, however, logistic and technology problems with the REAL ID. Ear-tagging the entire populace entails a lot of work – which involved a lot of time.

Money, too.

Three years after the passage of the REAL ID Act, all 50 states had filed for implementation extensions. The creepily named Department of Homeland Security – creepy because it is a literal English translation of the Sicherheitsdeinst which existed in the Heimat of Nazi Germany, the same Nazi Germany that George W. Bush’s grandfather Sen. Prescott Bush snuggled up to prior to and during World War II – responded by issuing various fatwas demanding “full compliance” by such and such a date.

The most recent being January, 2018 – when “full enforcement” is to be achieved.

Which brings me to the creepy nudging “notification” sent my way via the Virginia (where I live) DMV. It informs me that my driver’s license is up for renewal and that I have the option to upgrade to a REAL ID – for which I will have to present myself in person, in order to be fingerprinted or scanned; whatever the form of “biometric” ear-tagging happens to be in my state.

If do not “comply” – their word, an ominous word – then “beginning October 1, 2020” I will no longer be able to board a domestic flight or enter a secure federal facility.

And neither will you, if you decline to comply.

The REAL ID is an upgraded internal passport, as well as an ear-tagging for the populace. The Soviet Union under Stalin used to issue internal passports; you could not travel from Moscow to another city, for example, without the passport.

Now the United States has internal passports – or will, a little more than two years from now.

One can still decline the REAL ID (for the moment) without losing one’s “privilege” to travel domestically by car – but that is surely a temporary thing. It makes no sense to require an internal passport to travel from one state to another by airplane – or even within a state by airplane –  and yet allow people to travel by car without the internal passport.

Interesting that the “freedoms” the “terrorists” supposedly hated us for are becoming nonexistent.

Mission Accomplished, as The Chimp once said.

Well yes, this is all true and indeed it most surely does suck. So what are you going to do about it?

Why agree to the “upgrade”? If everybody declines we all win. The airlines would be bankrupt in a matter of weeks. We would end the TSA! The strength in our numbers is formidable if we exercise it.

“Sorry judge, I can’t be there for jury duty. They won’t let me in the building.”

While I’m at it…there is no requirement for a driver’s license UNLESS you’re participating in commercial activity. We have the right to free unimpeded travel within the US. The whole driver’s license thing goes on because we suckers went along with the BS. Signs such as speed limit etc. apply to commercial transportation only.

Good luck telling a state trooper that you are not required to have a driver’s licence or to obey the speed limits. Let us know how it works for you. Hopefully they won’t decide to tune you up by the roadside.

Morongobill,
I didn’t say it was a good idea or that it is my plan of action. Still, there is no requirement for driver’s licenses or even auto tags for non-commercial vehicles. again, we’re just suckers who fall in line waaaaaaay to easily.

Will illegal aliens be able to get these?

My state had to file an extension. I fly nearly every week, so I have a global entry card with a trusted traveler number. The US govt already has my fingerprints for the card, so the DL issue is no big deal for me. They already scan all names on all flight manifest for correctness, so the DL game is just a continuation of the grand plan.

One time I was on a flight back home from the middle east, flight was delayed b/c someone got on the plane whose name did not pass. Missed my connections, messed up my trip big time. I will guess the person’s name was not Smith or Jones who had the problem. Inconvenienced a couple hundred travelers, the future is now here.

The shithole state of Illinois is now giving everything to illegals. The bankrupt City of Chicago is spending millions they do not have to provide free ID for illegals to show them they are welcome according to the Tiny Dancer, Mayor Emmanuel, who is a coquesuquere extraordinaire. There is not language contemptible enough to express my loathing for this little shit streak.
As a result if I want to fly I have to get a passport. Several million other people have the same idea. I wonder how long it will take?

I temporarily work in NW IN, fly in to Chicago. I have met only one person who lives there and likes it. Everyone else wants to leave when they retire. Shootings are reported like sports scores, Chicago is a Sh*thole.

In my state we didn’t have the option, and the state I was born in could never supply a birth certificate but the gal at the DMV took my copy of a certified copy from 30 years ago, since she was just making a copy herself who would know?

Obama’s bin Laden attack will probably be studied in military academies of the future as the most successful attack of all times. A dozen “soldiers” using enemy’s hardware and training with a cost of less than one Tomahawk made the enemy implode on its own fear.

The enemy was freedom. 17 years after the attack, they made “security” and “freedom” synonyms. WTF? Freedom is the exact opposite to security. War is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength. I can only imagine if after the attack, a statesman would stand in from of the camera and say:

” We were attacked because they hate our freedom. And we have the obligation to defend that. So, beginning today, we are instituting an implied draft legislation. I case of a terrorist attack or hijack you are considered drafted. And if you fail to act, you will be court martial’d for cowardly conduct before the enemy”

No cockpit doors, no screening, no nothing. Just a nation that will jump and kill any terrorist on the spot. At most they would have another flight 93.

And for the record, Osama bin Laden never took credit for the attacks, nor did the FBI ever charge him with it on their 10 most wanted. He was wanted for OTHER terrorist attacks, but not that one. And the flight 93 story depends on your belief cell phones worked at altitude and speed, which they didn’t.
Sorry to burst your bubble on 9/11, but thems the facts. Although I agree with your premise of taking action.

Yes. WCD is correct. Nothing that happened on 911 could have happened the way they said it did. How could you possibly believe a word the lying assholes ever say.

Surely Trump, the man of the little people, will stand up and declare this illegal, after he locks up all the pedophiles. He will have to do this, afterall this ID card is a big part of the new world order agenda. I wonder what the Anons have to say about this. Dr. Q, your response?

So brace [yourselves] for the crash. Enjoy the movie.

Yup. That’s the issue. All this bull crap will just make the market for fakes sold out the back door of the DMV more valuable.

In the past few months I’ve had several gas-station clerks ask to see my ID for age-verification purchases. Without asking they inserted my DL into a scanner, well the first one did. Every one after that has gotten an earful from an angry libertarian. It’s sold as a convenience for them, they don’t have to hunt down your birthday and they don’t have to worry about losing their business or going to jail for selling a pack of cigarettes outside the permission of the crown.

Just last week the local recycling center did the same thing. Before long this is going to be pushed as the norm for the “free” people of America.

“Just insert your DL in the scanner and we’ll get started with your grocery purchases”

Papers please.
