My wife is coming too, I suspect we may gain a few pounds if we are not careful, everyone here in Wellington (supposed to be the “small” sister city to Melbourne) is raving about the food in Melbourne and Welly is nothing to shake a stick at with fantastic cafes, bars, craft breweries out the wazoo, etc. Last big city in the east I have not visited beside Canberra (and that reminds me a lot of D.C. from what I have read so not sure I want to visit it!) Do still need to make it to Tas and Hobart and then see the north, interior and west coast.
Oh yeah, and real Kiwis are much the same as you noted about real Ozzies, laid back… maybe too much with their “she’ll be right” attitude that lets the evil ones take over…

Here in Cherokee NC the natives call themselves Indians, especially on most commercial establishments ie “Indian owned”.
