I think the Cheap Chines ZTE phones are the ones Trump banned the military and govt from using due to the myriad backdoors built into them for monitoring everything on it. Probably not a big problem for your average user unless they’re up to no good. YMMV

Once worked with a guy who had been an analog hw engineer for Motorola back in the day. He explained that when your phone has only a bar or two, the phone will crank up the transmitter power to try to reach the tower. He took a couple steps back when I pulled out my brick flip phone and observed 1 bar in the office we were in. This was probably 17 years ago +-, so maybe things have changed, but I doubt it.

I keep reading about this 5G thing starting up. They say the 5G operates at a hertz level that will kill the animals and give we humans cancer. Does anyone here know enough about 5G to make a call as to how legit these warning may be?
Plato- I have been reading about this for some time. The link you provided speaks of 60 hz but it is known that they intend 93-100 hz . These devices will be put on light poles and street lights near your house as opposed to cell towers.

I have worked with cell phones and other transmitters in the past. I am firmly convinced cell phones in general are bad for you. Every time a Scandinavian researcher proves it, the FedGov quickly trots out their paid-for researchers who assure us it’s perfectly safe. Never mind study after study shows your health is negatively impacted by them. Brit men, in one study, who were on their phones 3+ hours a day suffered from increased sterility. People who are around high RF levels are known to get sick and die early. In one case, a Soviet crypto guy dropped dead in his S.African embassy crypto cage due to the extreme RF emitted by their un-shielded gear. Yes, cell phones up their transmit power when in low/no connectivity areas. It’s better to keep it as far as possible from your head and body. Thanks to the Inverse Square law, every time you double your distance from the transmitter, you drop the signal power relative to you exponentially. Keep it as far from your brain as possible, i.e. with a corded handset or speaker function, and keep it off as much as possible. A dumb phone is probably better for you, anyway, since most of the functions are either unnecessary or merely luxuries and distractions. Also, the screen is damaging your eyes due to the high blue LED light emitted. Wear gamer glasses when you look at screens and phones. The added benefit is your brain’s melatonin levels are preserved allowing you to sleep easier- staring at screens kills the melatonin levels in your brain. Some day soon, I suspect we’re going to see an epidemic of cancers and tumors caused by these things.
