Destination in Sight: 178 Revelations from August, 2018

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

In this blogger’s continued effort to link internet headlines from various link-aggregating websites as documented transitions and arrange them into catalogued anthologies – August 2018, like July, proved to be another very busy month as patterns in the matrix became clearer on the way to the 2018 Midterm Elections.

There seemed to be several developments in early August that had updates later in the month.  For example, it was reported that Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, was willing to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller about Trump’s “conspiracy to collude” with Russia . This was later discredited as being leaked by Cohen’s attorney, Lanny Davis; and for which Davis later said was a lie.  Additionally, there were several other line-items that transitioned later in the month thus making the previous headlines “old news”.

For these reasons, and in the interest of brevity for the reader, I decided NOT to post a separate full list like was done in July and instead, list the items this blogger would consider as the more relevant milestones on the way to America’s undetermined future. These would primarily include headlines concerning the November Midterms, Trump versus the world, lawlessness, and Big Brother rising.

I began documenting these “transition” pieces last spring in an effort to track real trends based upon actual news, instead of political spin and empty promises; smoke and mirrors.  In the eyes of this blogger, the trends have been identified and they do not bode well for the times ahead in the United States.  Therefore, my curiosity satisfied, I am not planning to post any more transition pieces for the immediate future.  This will be the last one.

The nation’s trajectory now seems locked and I would prefer to reserve my efforts in the hopes of writing stand-alone pieces over the next several months.  As the reader can imagine, it takes much effort to assemble these compilations, and quite honestly, it has become tedious.  Besides, if any major course changes occur in the next weeks and months, I would rather write about them as opposed to merely assembling headlines anyway.

Consequently, and with that in mind, the items below represented what I considered to be the most identifiable 178 signposts for August, 2018.

Again, for the reader’s convenience, the revelations are sorted into the same category headings that were utilized last month and the month prior.  For those in a hasty hurry and wanting to bypass the pettifogging particulars, there are some concluding comments at the very end:

The American Experiment

1.) In advance of America’s 2018 Midterm Elections, a Bloomberg analysis of Federal Election Commission data showed that a record number of Democratic challengers were outraising their GOP opponents.

2.) The online fundraising platform ActBlue surged past the $1 billion mark in contributions to Democratic candidates and causes in this election cycle.

3.) A lone, but very powerful, federal judge in Washington D.C. ordered the Trump administration to restart (in full) the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DREAMERS) program.

4.)  Regarding the 2018 Midterm Elections, NBC News reported that 65 races will decide control of the U.S. House of Representatives and how the Democrats could take control.

5.)  The New York Times questioned if a “Rainbow Wave” was in the works due to fact that 2018 had more L.G.B.T. candidates than ever.

6.) It was reported that President Donald Trump had casted the “midterms as a referendum on himself”; even as he “derided the intelligence of one of the nation’s most prominent African-American men”, the NBA basketball star Lebron James.

7.)  As Michelle Obama helped to launch a voter signup drive ahead of the 2018 Midterm Elections, it was reported that women were poised to take charge in a Democratic Party majority in the U.S. House.

8.)  It was reported that former President Barack Obama had “formally retained legal counsel over numerous potential criminal indictments for actions while he was President”.

9.) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently reported that more than half a million girls in the U.S. have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM). “The recent findings coincide with a 2015 report released by the Population Reference Bureau (PRB)”. The PRB report noted that an “increase in the number of immigrants from African and Middle Eastern countries was the primary reason behind the rising FGM rates in the U.S.”

10.) Police captured an illegal immigrant posing with his “daughter” whom he was raping.  A DHS official noted that the illegal alien, Ramon Pedro, arrived with a young girl he claimed was his daughter at the Ysleta Port of Entry in Texas in mid-April. After Pedro and his claimed daughter was hospitalized for tuberculosis testing, U.S. authorities discovered she was not related to him in any way and was being systematically sexually abused by him.

11.) The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said more than 600,000 foreigners overstayed U.S. visas in 2017.

12.)  In an obvious attempt to further invalidate and undermine the U.S. Election System, a Democratic Senator claimed the Russians had penetrated some Florida voter registration systems.  But Florida election officials said there was no evidence of the Russians breaching voter systems.

13.) Heavily armed” Muslim Extremists, who trained 11 children to commit school shootings, were arrested in New Mexico.  Days later a New Mexico judge agreed to release the five suspects against the wishes of both the sheriff’s department and the FBI.  The judge, while effectively “admonishing the prosecution for Islamophobia” said the state “failed to meet the burden of showing the suspects were a danger to the community”.  This, in spite of the fact authorities found “a dead child’s remains on the compound, and an alleged letter sent from one suspect to his brother inviting him to come to New Mexico and die as a martyr”.

14.) According to New Mexico prosecutors, authorities executed a court order to destroy the encampment where the son of a famous New York Imam ritualistically murdered his three-year-old son and trained nearly a dozen other children to commit school shootings.

15.)  Because educated women, young people, and independents “are energized”, it was reported that Democrats have enough to win over 24 seats in the 2018 Midterm Elections, thus taking control of the U.S. House of Representatives for the first time since 2010.

16.) A University of Albany professor predicted that Trump voters will “provoke violence” on a grand scale when Donald Trump departs from the Oval Office because of their “white racial resentment, anxiety and anger about immigration, rural consciousness, and commitment to conservative Christian values”; which also makes Trump voters “particularly inclined to embrace propaganda”.

The Young Democratic Socialists of America organization now claims to have more than 250 chapters on campuses across the country, a dramatic increase from just 15 chapters in 2016; as a Virginia Commonwealth University student campaigned to become Co-Chair of the Young Democratic Socialists of America, saying the organization is “insufficiently socialist”.

The media has attacked me personally, on a number of occasions, including your own [CNN] network.., said I should be harassed as a life sentence, that I should be choked, ICE officials are not welcomed in their place of worship, and personal information is shared on the internet.

When I was hosted by the Correspondents Association, of which almost all of you are members of…, you brought a comedian up to attack my appearance and call me a traitor to my own gender.

In fact, as far as I know, I’m the first press secretary in the history of the United States that’s required Secret Service Protection.

The media continues to ratchet up the verbal assault against the president, and everyone in this administration – and certainly we have a role to play, but the media has a role to play for the discourse in this country as well.

Conclusion

According to the August headlines, it appears the Democratic Party maintains the momentum for the upcoming elections in November.   If that holds true, then it will represent a serious turning point for the nation.  If it doesn’t, then that will be revealing in and of itself.

But if the Democrats do win, as the above trends indicate, they’ll increasingly push for open borders, allow activist judges to legislate from the bench, pursue social justice and politically correct thought-control measures, expand entitlements, screw deserving RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) like two-dollar whores, engage in expansive congressional investigations of all things Trump, and, of course, begin impeachment proceedings.

It also appears socialism is trending in America; even as lack of food has forced millions to flee from the socialist nation of Venezuela.

Moreover, reports on the U.S. economy remain contradictory via record employment, increasing retail sales, rising optimism, a growing GDP, and a new trade deal with Mexico – amid rising deficits, interest spending, inflation, cost of living, and household debt.

Around the world, mass migration continues to create carnage throughout the northern hemisphere nations, especially in Europe, as South Africa and Syria remain geopolitical hot spots, and as sex crimes have ravaged America, Europe, the United Nations, and the Catholic Church.

Regarding the soft-coup against President Trump, the legal noose tightens around the necks of those in his circle, as the Robert Mueller Express gathers steam; even as the Russia Investigation appears less credible day by day.

At the same time, Big Brother grew even taller in August; casting a wider shadow over the former constitutional republic that was once the United States of America; and the entire world.

In the full compilation of 178 transitional revelations for August, and according to this blogger, 38 could be considered making America (and/or the world) great again, with 19 as being neutral or questionable, and 121 as representing the ever-accelerating slide into Orwellian hell.  These counts were 28, 27, and 154 (from the Full List) last month and 32, 8, and 104, respectively, the month prior.

No matter what happens in the elections this November, the current trends over the last several months have revealed a tough road ahead.

Hope springs eternal, but reality’s a bitch.  Expect to see both of these topics in future headlines and in the themes of essays from this blogger.  Stay tuned.

Someone’s up early.

I am amazed at how many 911 cultural references are in the public record prior to 2001, ranging from The Simpsons to Beavis & Butthead to the Terminator and Matrix films. Plus even more when you count video games, music, and comics.

And, on both 9-11-90 (9th month, 11 yrs prior) and 9-11-91 (10 year pre-anniversary), Bush the Elder gave New World Order speeches.

All just coincidences, I’m sure

Now there you go with the Conspiracy stuff!

Am truly “up” early because I got a genuine night’s sleep. Hallelujah!

Most of the discussion I hope to bring to your tiny little list of the month’s events involves the control of stereotypes in the movie Phenomena. It isn’t that the movie was particularly effective in its messaging; it is just that I happen to know someone who was part of the attempt to control the message behind the scenery.

I am not a rocket scientist, tadpole, but I did my homework when I went back to college after USAF days. And by homework, I mean that I studied my teachers and learned how they thought. Is easy to get an A on an essay when you have read a bunch of the peer-reviewed drivel spewed out by the professor asking the questions. Hell, you don’t even have to stay on topic if you can “cite” them in your answer (without actually “citing” them).

Sometimes the teacher’s pet is just a sneaky, sneaky white gal.

Psssst? Get rid of the medicine.

You said this will be the last one for awhile. Please continue through the midterms. I know it’s a lot of work but much appreciated. I bet I said “wow” and read out loud more than a dozen of the 178 to my wife sitting next to me at her computer. This month seems things are accelerating. And not in a good way. Thanks for compiling this Doug. Great work… Chip

@ Chip,

As stated before, part of my reasons for these compilations was designed as a personal strategy against censorship and memory-holed search engine results. That hasn’t changed. Therefore, since Sept 1st, I have recorded what I have considered being key items that could very possibly be incorporated into lists within future articles.

In other words, I may gather a few items per week as opposed to the 7 to 8 items that have resulted in 200+ monthly compilations; which I end up filtering anyway.

For my own purposes, I believe the direction and momentum has been established through “quantity” of items and now I would like to focus on the deeper “qualities” (of the main categories/themes) in advance of the midterms. This could very well result in smaller lists that more websites might pick up; or, fewer items and more readers as opposed to more items for fewer readers.

We’ll see. In the meantime, I very much appreciated your input.

Who owns the MSM lock, stock and barrel? They are truly the real enemy of not only Americans, but humanity itself.

Greetings,
In psychology there are two known phenomenon related to memory – Primacy and Recency. As humans, we put a lot of weight into the first and last thing we hear while forgetting all the noise in the middle. Right now we are in the noise portion of our journey to the midterms. All of it is meaningless. What will have an incredible amount of weight will be the bombs dropped during the last ten days of the midterm campaign. Whoever can push their narrative the hardest while dropping the biggest bombs will win the midterms.

With that said, the Democrats have unloaded a lot of ammunition this summer so I wonder what they’ve got left for the final ten days? They’ve cried wolf so many times that I’m not certain any of it will stick. Also, voters (minus some cheating) will decide the next election and they are abandoning the Democratic party in droves. Proof of this can be seen in the ratings of the Liberal News outlets that have been hemorrhaging viewers with CNN having lost an additional 10% of their viewership just last month. They are now down ~40% in the last year. Does that sound like a Blue Wave to you? If a tree falls live on MSNBC and there is no one there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

For some reason, my search term for information about Congresscritters against the populist movement Trump represented brought me to this astounding list of revelations you brought to the blog two years ago.

There are so many things on this list which are clearly harbingers of things to come, if not outright prophecy, I thought I would bring this to your attention, Doug.

Here are my “top ten” list of your revelations turned prophecy.

#1
166.) As tech companies planned to gather for a secret meeting to collude in affecting the 2018 Midterm Elections, President Trump slammed social media firms for ‘silencing millions’.

#2
136.) After a backlash from its own employees who wanted the company to ban right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Twitter sent out a company-wide email saying the company would be accelerating a crackdown on “hate speech” while looking into punishing users for “off-platform behavior”.

#3
126.) After South Africa “called for 300,000 gun owners to turn over their weapons” it began seizing white-owned farms.

#4
119.) Longtime Donald Trump associate Roger Stone said Robert Mueller’s team was “examining every aspect” of his “personal, private, family, social, business and political life”, and that the goal of the special counsel was to “to frame me for some nonexistent crime to silence me and pressure me to testify against the president. … I am not going to do it.”

#5.
79.) A 71-page release of heavily redacted records concerning former MI6 spy Christopher Steele revealed that he was paid by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) “at least 11 times during 2016, and that Steele was admonished by the agency for unknown reasons in February, 2016”.
(Disclaimer: the entire nonsense about the Steele dossier and the investigation into Russian Collusion is worth reviewing because it shows how desperately the Luciferian Powers That Be in DC were trying to distract and detract from what they were really doing. I picked this one as a good one to remind everyone how long this crap went on.)

#6.
67.) An investigative journalist was found dead in a Washington D.C. hotel room weeks after reporting Bill Clinton to the FBI and DHS for allegedly raping a boy.
(EGAD! Does this guy never stop?)

#7
53.) Thirty-five-hundred teachers in the Portland Oregon Public Schools System were given an $18.00 teaching guide called “Planning to Change The World – A Plan Book For Social Justice Teachers”, that praised Che Guevara, featured Black Panther founders, promoted islam, and with several communist sympathizing mentions. The guide was designed to cater to kids as young as 5 years old.
(So, how did that work out?)

#8
47.) Against the protestations of reporters, the Democratic Socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, barred the press from a town hall meeting “so people would feel safe”.
Are there no such things as Open Records laws any more? did those just disappear?
https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/1214/open-meeting-laws-and-freedom-of-speech

#9.
12.) In an obvious attempt to further invalidate and undermine the U.S. Election System, a Democratic Senator claimed the Russians had penetrated some Florida voter registration systems. But Florida election officials said there was no evidence of the Russians breaching voter systems.

And last, but not least, simply in the order scanning backward… #10

There was a tie for #10 between numbers 9 and 10, because both are so horrific examples of how insane the collective mindset has become.

(Why do they do this and why does our medical community allow it? And, yes, Stucky, I agree male circumcision is almost always unnecessary and feel bad for just letting my newborn son get traumatized.)

(I felt these two revelations (9 and 10) help us understand exactly why it is our overlords want to bring in this sort of third-world depravity, of both ilks.)

This is a list I did not read back then. I think it is fascinating to peruse the list and superimpose some of the more draconian measures we’ve seen upon those almost simple events then. AOC’s having a town hall without any press there to make participants feel “safe” seems more significant now than then.

A very long list (178) so I grabbed ten of them to help remind people what we thought we faced then compared to what we face now.
