The ‘fly in the ointment’ is Maxime Bernier creating another Conservative party, splitting the conservative vote thereby increasing the chances of Justine ‘Jihadi’ Trudeau’s re-election. Canada’s economy can’t survive another term under the incompetent Liberals.

Max is going to barely register as a blip on the radar come election time. People still remember what happened with Reform and what it produced. There will be some Maxime faithful who will follow no matter what but by and large I think most Conservatives want JT gone and will push the Conservative button at election time to make it happen.

Canada is a constitutional monarchy. Our head of state is technically the Queen. My suspicion is this is slowly but surely coming to an end. Over the years polls have shown about half the country wants this system changed. As time goes on that number will grow.
Canadians, by and large, are culturally American and have no connection to the Monarchy or their European roots.

Don’t be an ass, Canada is currently a British Commonwealth as is many former colonies. Take the Bahamas for example. If you look at the coinage of both countries they feature the image of QEII on it.
I agree with FM, Canada has a independence streak that wants to move from a Commonwealth status to an Independence status, especially from the western territories, and that probably will happen.
Canada has done some great things in the past. Very few people from the united States know that the CRAF is part of the ERAF. many Canadians gave their lives to save England. As did a few Yanks, who craving adventure, joined the CRAF to get into the wah!
Lastly, the united States tried to annex Canada in 1812 and lost to the uh er Canadians.

It would be embarassing working under Boy Wonder. Easy to see why she left. Minority Govt next go I predict…either Lib or Con. I will vote whoever commits to finishing Trans Mountain and Energy East pipelines.
