I don’t know where to begin.
Anyone who came away from that thinking that the woman was credible are simply incapable of sober judgement, INCAPABLE. Can I prove she’s lying? Of course I can’t, but I don’t need to be an MD to know if one of my children has the flu, or a degree in meteorology to know that a thunderstorm is approaching. During the 70’s I distinctly remember when the word “prejudice” became synonymous with “bigoted” despite the fact that the two words are different. I am prejudiced to snakes with rattles, roaring infernos, angry mobs with weapons in their hands running down the street, but that doesn’t make me a bigot, it makes me sensible, observant and a survivor.
If you cannot tell your own story without reading it off a piece of paper then the odds are that the story is a fabrication. If you tell someone that you are fearful of flying and then you fly all over the world for fun and adventure, then you are a liar. If you tell someone a lie and fail to correct it and ask forgiveness then you are unrepentant. And if you fall for that person’s story you are not a fair person, you are a moron.
When we left the land we lost a great deal more than a rural heritage or a connection to our food source or a difficult and grueling lifestyle, we lost our ability to see the world as it is. By living in the real world- and I do not mean metaphorically or ironically, I mean actually- we lost our ability to sense things that are natural and unalterable; the seasons, the ebb and flow of life, the march of time, threats and danger, pleasures and rewards.
We are living in a time where people are actually having sex with robots, people with x/y chromosomes are pretending to have x/x chromosomes and demanding that you believe them, people are growing proteins in petri dishes and calling it meat. There is no amount of physical evidence that could dissuade some people from believing that which is not true nor from doubting that which is demonstrably true.
Every Spring and every Fall we collectively and dutifully “change time” as we are directed by our betters for reasons that not one person in a hundred can explain, much less justify, based on reasons that ceased to have purpose over a century ago. I could go on for hours, but most of you already know everything I have to say on the matter and those who don’t wouldn’t change their minds anyway.
Human beings are the only animal I know of that can alter reality to adjust to illusion and make the illusion wield greater power than the reality as long as the majority of the collective organism goes along with it. Anyone who points this fiction out is summarily ejected from the body politic and becomes an unperson for having the temerity to oppose the herd.
Politics is an illusion, a grift, a long con whereby the weaker, the deceitful, the greedy and the indolent wrest power away from the honorable, diligent and industrious by means of controlling the collective organism using their skill sets of duplicity, violence and calumny. They count on the ignorant force of the greater mass against the singular nature of the decent and altruistic and as long as the masses are kept in a degree of comfort and ignorance they almost always prevail and thus the human organism becomes, over time, greedier, sneakier, selfish and vain. Each succeeding wave of genetic material inclines towards debasement, venality, cruelty and depravity.
I spent my morning yesterday preparing food for a lodge of old men, working side by side with young men who embody everything I hold dear- hard work, honesty, optimism and joy and when I delivered the meal I spent an hour all by myself in the antique hall as the Sun fell outside, listening to this sad charade on a fifty year old transistor radio feeling nothing but sadness, not only for the people involved, for how they had been either used or debased for political ends, but for the greater body of mankind that is forced to try and raise their children in a world that is so corrupt, so remorseless that it would make of this human suffering a form of theater, to fluff themselves up and posture as if they were decent and caring when they are as black and evil as the heart of a sadist. This was not a hearing, it was a punishment. It was not a means of finding the truth but of obscuring it. It was a world turned upside down and we cannot, no matter what we do, escape it.
This morning it rained. I know it because I can see it with my eyes, listen to the somnolent murmur of the water falling from the eaves, touch it with my skin. Outside the leaves have begun to turn, scarlet, tangerine, canary. The last of the bobwhites have exited and the geese sit on the water of the trout pond as still as statues and I share this much with living things that my own kind cannot yet fathom. We know this truth.
Winter is coming.
I could be wrong but I think there is going to be a moral backlash against the libs and their lackeys. This country has swung way too far left and I think the wackos and their leaders have badly overplayed their hand and that the “moral” majority to use a concept have started to sense this. As much as I dislike Graham the senator for his nonstop warmongering, I believe he spoke for a lot of people yesterday. I just wish more of the spineless Republicans would step up and tell it like it is. Out.
It’s more powerful than that, there is widespread anger, even rage, in flyover country over this attempted lynching…Kavanaugh, by going on the attack, has become a hero, and probably a very redpilled one.
pyrr, I so hope you are right. I hope that Kavanaugh, if confirmed is so angry at the politics that he surprises both sides and really does stick to the constitution. The anger is palpable.

Ford scrubbed her leftist social media rants before running this scam..indicating deception. She lied about fear of flying–in fact, she flew to Bali to surf, and many other places around the world. She lied about telling the therapist it was Kavanaugh…She lied, and changed her story to 2, when she said it was 4 boys at the party. They sat on her testimony for months, to prevent investigation—indication of deceit. She first brought this up, per her husband, when Kavanaugh voted against Obamacare and was mentioned for SCOTUS–intent.
What is the chance of her attorneys being censured or disbarred for failing to inform her of the offer to travel anywhere to take her statement in private? What about the fact she was already on the east coast at the time and not in California? Can her “beach friends” be subpoenaed?

No minds were changed. The Democrats are digging in. McCaskill is voting no when some predicted she would vote yes because she is up for re-election. She is going to lose and I do not like her republican challenger much but she needs to go.
I listened to local talk radio for a bit. They are angry but not about the Democrats. They believer her even more now because she was “calm and collected” not angry and emotional. He is hiding something and she is not. That is what they are saying.
They are both lying. He is lying about how drunk he got when he was in high school. He evaded that issue. I don’t believe he blacked out or doesn’t remember anything. You can get drunk enough to vomit and not black out. I know this from experience, unfortunately. I bet there are others here who have had similar experiences. It would just look bad if he admitted he drank that much so he avoided it. If he was an ugly drunk, there would be people who would corroborate that and no one did. I believe him when he says he didn’t have sex then, either. I know other men who were not having sex in high school.
She has so many holes in her story you can drive a truck through it but they were easy on her and hard on him. If you listen to liberals though, they do not see it that way. Their minds are made up and which ever way it goes, this is war.

In my youth I got so drunk that I puked more times that is wise and even passed out a few times. I have never blacked out where I was still mobile and did things I don’t remember, but everyone is different. I remember a friend pissing on the wall heater thinking it was a urinal or something in a blacked out state and not remembering a thing about it after. So it is possible, but there are always witnesses that remember those kind of things.
I plan to vote for Josh Hawley just for the chance to see old bag McCaskill go, not that I have any liking for him either. Please people, since we can’t get term limits, can we try to get some of these putrid corpses out of DC ?

So we’ve now given up the pursuit of absolute truth as the gaslight fails to illuminate the National nightfall.

This is what I am seeing everywhere. Why people are destroying their very essences is beyond me. They are heavily overweight, cannot walk, cannot breathe, are covered in tattoos, are pierced in places that cannot even be imagined, die their hair flourescent colors, and parade around proud as peacocks. I have never seen such ill health generally as I have seen on my trip. It is everywhere.
What the fuck? This cannot end well. Those such as HSF will abide. But one day, normals will stop feeding this herd of aberrations. And they thus must die off. Man was never meant to be enslaved to support those such as these, and that is what is happening now. Normals are slaves to these critters. And it will end, and badly.
We are all aware that it ends badly for MOST. The rest is just a matter of survival of the fittest.

I think this started with the free love generation in the 1960s and this is the product of it. How we reverse it I don’t know. In the earlier generations knowledge was passed from father to son. Now computers are assuming that role; but the computer can only pass information; not knowledge.
I know the condition we are living in did not happen over night but it is growing worse faster.But even if it is reversed it may take years before thinking people rise out of the population to take leadership positions.
My take; only recently realized, is that we came to this world to live under the law of mammon (Rule of Law) to see what it is like so we appreciate living under grace in the next life.

Dirty politics are merely a subset of politics. Politics define Man’s relations with Man. Man progresses, but towards what end? Underlying all of the Supreme Court nomination theater, the desire of the Progressives is simply this: To project a woman’s right to choose. Whether or not Kavanaugh is actually a threat to that right is beyond the point. He is perceived as a threat to “Roe v. Wade” by his opponents. This means a man’s reputation will now be slandered, and without any real evidence, in order to protect a woman’s right to abort her fetus at will.
If that goes against the beliefs of those who support Kavanaugh, then their opponents are not the progressive politicians, per se, but, rather, those who support the progressive politicians with their votes (citizens), innuendo, unproven accusations (i.e. false witness?), and slander (citizens and media).
In a MANufactured reality, consensus equals impetus and demographics determine outcomes.
Therefore, hope may spring eternal but demographics are inevitable.
Perhaps at certain times during Fourth Turnings, the best the Old-fashioned Ones can do is to hope for a little more time for which to prepare before the storms.
An addendum: Isn’t it sort of bizarre that Kavanaugh’s friend who was identified by the accuser as an accomplice, is named Mark Judge? Then, the one senator who “flaked” before the judiciary committee vote was named Flake?
Of course, I’m not claiming any grand conspiracy on these, but both are pretty ironic, to say the least.
When I was about 8 or 10, I remember stating that “there’s no such thing as progress”.

So it goes with people of single mindedness on all sides. And there are a lot of them. The majority of the public does not know the business of administrative law so this side show hits them right where they know most; right where their minds are; right in the gutter. All one has to do is listen to the latest songs and one will get the pulse of the young people.
The world is changing. World consciousness is changing; part of it evolving and part of it involving. When we start thinking about the population of the US as opposed the the population of the world we are a much smaller number. The combined social consciousness of the rest of the world is building; I think, resistance to US bullying. This resistance I think will eventually put us in our place of nations.
Didn’t mean to get side tracked by that. What I want to express is that the new young generation will have to deal with all the hubris of the two previous generations. As the world turns each generation has to face their own reality passed on to them from former generations.
Us old ones can only look and advise as we close the door to our place in our allotted time; while we prepare to pass out of time into eternity.
So really all this hakaka going on around us is only one possibility in eternity being played out in time. It will pass like the trade winds as eternity has many possibilities waiting to be played out in time.
US Justice will be reborn 1Oct2018 with Thomas, Roberts, Alito, Gorsch, and Kavanaugh. The Leftist fouled the bed with Ginsburg, Sotomayer, Kagan, and Breyer. My guess is one of the Leftist already has one foot in Hell and the Senate Judicial Committee Communist will find another rapist for the FBI to investigate and the MSM to slander.

Wonderful article about the things that matter, or at least should matter. The snowball was rolling down the hill, crushing the arguments for delay and the character assassination of the last 10 days until….
Flake has required a further delay. This was for the FBI to again investigate, as if 6 previous times were not enough and then present the findings (they cannot bring a judgement, only do what the investigative committee has already done).
The last 24 hours has revealed a knife fight atmosphere that many seem to be waking to, until today, where things got back to normal; as if the sharp words and no nonsense approach of yesterdays hearing confirmation seemed to rule the day.
I have got to stop watching for hopeful things, the sloth like movement of the republicans versus the cobra like attacks of the democrats is too hard to take in, without throwing something at the computer screen.
Wait and see, but, truly, winter is coming.
During the one-week delay, I guarantee you that new dirty dirt on Kavanaugh will fill the airwaves, and the hysterical, self-righteous, hypocritical and deplorable Dems will be shrieking in chorus, demanding more delays for “investigations.”
Not disagreeing with you, but another scenario is that Trump, who has already started the FBI investigation, will finish it quickly (as they have done it 6 times before) and Grassley, knowing the delaying tactics, will force a vote quickly and end the nightmare with a confirmation of Judge Kavanagh.
One can hope but I won’t be holding my breath!

Kabuki theatre. Here you have a privileged preppy frat brat who buy all means is squeaky clean cause as we know corporate crime never serves time. K’s involvement with Abu Gharib and the Patriot Act during neo-con Bush does not make him the good boy in my play no matter how well you dress him. HSF, I enjoyed your thoughts in this piece as well as those you leave in comments. I do not know what happed to Ms. Ford but something did. Maybe she has a history of psychological problems. I do not believe Mr. Kavanaugh is guilty of what he is being accused, but he did demur on points about drinking to the point of excess, reasons for not wanting further investigation and Mr. Judge.
None of those make him a liar or attempted rapist. Maybe deflecting on those points make him smart.
All of that aside there is a much bigger game as you point out. I work at a large American corporation headquartered in the south, and the water cooler talk today was mostly in support of Ms. Ford from many folks I would consider intelligent to very intelligent.
I don’t know if it is fear of talking about what they really believe or if they really believe what they are saying, but I think it doesn’t matter. These intelligent people are going to allow and even facilitate [gladly] it seems several more rounds of freedom limiting intervention because they have lost their ability to think about real and long-term decisions and their consequences or they are just afraid.
This soap opera isn’t going to end well. I am sad for all the souls that are oblivious either naively or willfully to what is being done in their name and to them. While not a direct parallel, I often wonder if this is similar to what occurred in Nazi Germany. Good people didn’t stand up to evil when they might successfully have done so because they were either naively or willfully uninformed, believed the con or just afraid.
I hope and pray when the time comes that I will be counted among those who prepared correctly for the winter, made the hard choices that will have to be made and successfully shepherded my family and others through the worst of it.
My wife is an intelligent woman; she allows for the possibility of everyone in the room being a liar. But she SYMPATHIZES with Ford.
In her life she has known a few rape victims; one was 14! None were believed enough to make a difference; various companions lied (even about the 14 year old! School children can be shameless too!), denied, ignored the victims. She knows those who have been neglected, slandered, and men were responsible for the lies and slanders (along with a few warped, jealous or stupid women). The deck was stacked against the victims, mostly.
But she also is angered about POWER (powerful men trying to keep victims silent), PRIVILEGE (some of the perpetrators were wealthy / had access), and CHARACTER (those who acted without honor or decency). As a result, she tends to believe the victims over the perps, which sort of assumes that those ACCUSED were PERPS.
So when a “nobody” accuses a “somebody”, she sympathizes with the “nobody”. Which these PERPS (Feinstein, Booker, etc.) were COUNTING ON.
Whether Ford was actually molested by Kavanaugh no one can know, 30+ years later, without contemporaneous records and eyewitness accounts. Neither of which support the accuser.
But I’m sure lots of women across America support Ford for exactly the same reasons: they know someone whose justice was denied, and immediately want JUSTICE /ACCOUNTABILITY / REVENGE for those who were wronged.
Even if it wasn’t the same person they know wronged; or even no wrong proven at all.
We need a way to say “It wasn’t applicable”, but no one will listen.
