I was trying to explain the difference to a millennial socialist once between public works and what she calls”socialism”. (Might as well have been speaking Cantonese).
To them, everything from libraries to sewage to running tap water is proof of socialism.
They don’t get the difference between forced taxation and redistribution, and government raising funds for public works.
With their logic, every government in history would have been socialist…there were libraries in ancient Egypt, .. public baths and Wells throughout Greece, Babylon, Rome…trash removal, street lights…none are socialism except in these mini-marxist minds.
