The Bolsonaro Effect

Guest Post by Hardscrabble Farmer

Over the weekend my son and I decided to take a break and watch a couple of episodes of a show called The Carbonaro Effect. It features a young magician that pulls a Candid Camera style set of tricks on unsuspecting people using magic as it’s hook. If you haven’t seen him before it’s fairly entertaining in a fashion the first couple of times, but as we watched it became evident that what he was doing wasn’t very popular with the people he was fooling.

During the show there are numerous pop-ups that appear on the screen explaining how he came up with the trick, the way the crew were involved, how the staging was placed, etc. At the end of each trick he reveals to the unsuspecting mark that he has just tricked them and gives them a big hug letting them know it was all in good fun, like Allen Funt used to do with his high trust audiences in the 1960’s. After one of these tricks concluded there was a pop-up that said “most people will try to walk away after the trick and the crew has to re-direct them back into the shot.”

Of course they do. They storm off not because they’ve been fooled by a magician, but rather they’ve been gaslighted by conman, using their trust as the fulcrum, turning them into a sucker. In several of the sketches the chumps questioned their own sanity thinking that they were losing their minds because what they were seeing was stark contradiction to what they were being led to believe.

In traditional magic shows the audience expects to be fooled, it’s part of the understanding going in. They look for the ‘trick’ with intensity and if they can’t spot the misdirection it demonstrates the mastery of the magician and they are thrilled by his sleight of hand. In a situation where they are being intentionally fooled from the get-go by someone who portrays themselves as professional in whatever field he has chosen for the bit, that agreement is null and void. They are simply the butt of the joke, they’ve been conned, rather than entertained.

A long time ago I was working at a comedy club as the opener for a magician named Jeff Hobson who was one of the best close-up illusionists I have ever seen. He was also extremely funny and each night he closed his show with a trick that involved using a basket full of fruit and an audience member he’d brought up on stage.

The trick required that the person he’d chosen would watch his illusion up close as he made fruit ‘disappear’, yet it was revealed to the entire audience that what he was actually doing was throwing the fruit over the shoulder of the mark while concealing the sound of it hitting the floor by stomping his foot. It was funny, it always worked, the audience loved it yet in every single show it turned the mark into a very angry customer.

The club had me hand out free passes to the person Hobson had brought onstage after each show and in virtually ever instance they would decline, often bitterly with some very choice words for being made a fool of rather than having enjoyed the experience. I remember telling Hobson about that and how he brushed it off saying that it was worth the price to lose one member of the audience in order to win over the rest of them on the last night of the run I pulled a trick on him by fastening a safety pin to the bottom of the white napkin that concealed the fruit, knowing that he would whip it off with a flourish at the same time he was about to start the trick on the unsuspecting audience member.

It was a late show on Saturday and the club had a few local comics hanging out in the back of the room watching when he tossed the entire basket held together by that safety pin across the room. We broke out in laughter and he quickly recovered- he discovered the safety pin, removed it and looking right at me held it up and said “Prick,” and the show went on. He was pretty ticked off afterwards but the guys in the back of the room loved the way it had blown back on him.

Brazil has a new President today, a former paratrooper- who doesn’t love these guys, amirite?- with a decidedly reactionary bent. He has been very candid about his plans for the opposition should he take power and with a very clear mandate I think he may well do exactly what he has promised.

Brazil has been a train wreck of a country under a series of deeply corrupt administrations and on Sunday the voters delivered exactly what democracies promise as long as they allow the population the right to vote and that is blowback. The MSM has been wringing their hands all day long over the democratically elected President of Brazil, suggesting that his win is illegitimate despite what two thirds of the Brazilian voters think. This is the Bolsonaro Effect.

Here’s the thing. You can lie to people only so long before they tire of it. You can rob them and engage in every form of corruption and perfidy as long as you do not make them the butt of your joke, but once that trust between the people and the institutions that govern them are broken, they will walk away- at best- and at worst they will choose the most vocal opponent of their tormentors. What takes place in Brazil after today is a referendum not on what Bolsonaro has promised for the future, but on what his opponents have done to the people in the past.

No one knows how things will play out next week in the midterm elections, but the tricks that used to work are looking pretty threadbare and there is a rising tide of disquiet among the proles. The old misdirections and orchestrated scare tactics seem to have an ever decreasing effect on the populace and the explanations no longer seem to satisfy as they once did.

I’m feeling it. The people taking sides haven’t woken up to the idea that society isn’t broken, the immigration system isn’t broken, none of those things they always cry out is broken really is. Washington is broken. Yet you never hear that. Those damn Maggoos are too short-sighted to realize the public will someday wake up.

Greetings,
You may well be correct. I live in ultra superduper liberal land here in SoCal. The most fanatical people you can imagine thought that the DNC hand delivered paperweights to themselves and then strutted around calling it 911 & Pearl Harbor. The “911 attack” fooled no one and the sad patsy they produced didn’t help.

See, we may not produce much here but what we do produce is media and we produce tons of it. We also produce tons of crazies living in their vans, cars and on the streets. The people here come into contact with both – media making and crazies on a daily basis. That said, it was hard for the lefties to believe that a homeless man living in his van caused all this fuss or that such a van, one decked out as it was, could even exist. After all, a man in such a van would never be able to park anywhere unnoticed to get any sleep. It sticks out like a sore thumb.

Everyone here fancies themselves a critic (we get to see the movies before national release) and this story was too stupid even for NETFLIX and that says a lot.

Good analysis & article – we have been LIED TO for so long we no longer believe ANYTHING that shows up on the MSM. Given that we KNOW there are partisans staffing the FBI, the DOJ, and the other Govt. agencies, why should we believe what narratives they are pushing? The NPC outrage is partly driven by the elites’ recognition that WE SEE THROUGH THEM – they are soulless, bizarre, non-cerebral reactionaries driven by ideology rather than reality. ALL THIS came about at the worst possible time – just before a national election, when control of the legislatures is up for grabs. AND THEY PROBABLY WON’T GET IT.
Trump has pushed enough bullshit in his career as a real estate developer that he recognizes bullshit from others when he hears it – and he WON’T PLAY NICE. He CALLS it bullshit, and they are left sputtering, “But, but, but … I’m the NEW YORK TIMES, I’m the WASHINGTON POST, I’m NBC/CBS/ABC/CNN and I’m in CHARGE of telling you what to think…”
“no you’re not, you’re hucksters peddling bullshit as news and entertainment, and no one outside your little circles of acquaintance thinks of you in any other way”.
“YOU’RE WRONG, I’M HOLLYWOOD, I MAKE MOVIES THAT PEOPLE THINK ARE REAL, I CAN MOLD REALITY TO BE WHAT I WANT IT TO BE AND …”
“so what, you spin nonsense into fairy tales for money, no one believes your twisted, deviant views are valid anywhere outside your skulls, get over it, you’re losing money these days because the audience can’t take your preaching”.
“WE ARE THE MIC /DEEP STATE / ILLUMINATI / OWNERS AND RULERS OF THE WORLD, WE CONTROL ALL THE MONEY AND YOU WILL DO WHAT WE SAY OR …”
“How well did that keep the Marines out of Langley last year? I have enough of the American people behind me to put you six feet under permanently, and that’s what’s going to happen if you don’t figure out who has the military behind them and the law behind them; make your choice and choose wisely, there won’t be any do-overs and i intend to win, for good, this time”.
The fear, the anguish, the looking at doom and knowing it’s coming for you is driving the elites to hysteria – which just shows how little they understood the world to begin with. It’s still going to get uglier, maybe bloody, but those who wish to live their lives free of daily harassment are making their stand, starting LAST election – and they will see it through until it’s DONE.

Carbonaro the Magician soothes the marks with his soft-spoken demeanor using words to reinforce what they think they see. Their perception, in turn, suspends their disbelief. This is why TV is so powerful: The images are accompanied by suggestions; which is, in fact, hypnosis.

In the video, the older lady knew the so-called “denutter” was a salad spinner, yet his words allowed her to suspend her disbelief; perhaps because she believed the guy had no motive to lie. Or maybe she didn’t want to be confrontational. Or maybe she wanted to believe the guy so she didn’t have to be confrontational. Regardless, she became the joke.

It’s a great example of how the puppetmasters manipulate their puppets. They do so by perception. But it only works for so long because reality is inevitable.

I made a comment yesterday referencing the sci-fi author, Philip K. Dick, who once said:

“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.”

Therefore, it’s always a mere matter of time before the puppetmasters become the joke. In turn, they become afraid and their fear increases their need for control because, after all, their very existence is at stake. How can they be puppetmasters with no strings attached? And this is when the strings are revealed to be chains. Ultimately, the show must go on. Or so they believe.

Once again, the musician Frank Zappa described it thusly:

The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.

“The timid civilized world has found nothing with which to oppose the onslaught of a sudden revival of barefaced barbarity, other than concessions and smiles.”

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

HSF – a big problem is that so many people do not understand they are being lied to, and also a great many even want to be lied to, as the truth is too ghastly for them.

Many people know intuitively they are getting screwed, but hey, they are being promised their pensions, or whatever, and the alternative of thinking and acknowledging they have no pensions, especially when they have no savings, is too much to bear. They resort to sticking their head in the sand.

It is very difficult to convince a person of something when their livelihood relies on them believing something else.

I’ve concluded that there is a significant portion of the population that hasn’t got the capacity to even consider these kinds of issues and thoughts, like I would if I pondered quantum mechanics. There’s simply too much information that you have to already understand prior to consideration. I don’t count them in any equation because they go whichever way the crowd goes. I know I’ve written about them in terms of being a domesticated animal, or ‘soulless’ but I don’t mean this to demean them, but rather to explain how we found ourselves in the current state. And yet they are allowed to participate as full equals in a system they neither comprehend, nor care to. It’s no different than if you took your car to a transmission shop and they handed it off to the first guy to walk past the shop. It is a guarantor of failure, systemic and total.

The folks who benefit- the people on SS/welfare/Bureaucrats/corporate potentates/celebrities/the mandarins of the Derp State- they have at least an inkling of what they are doing, but they benefit more than they risk, at least in this present incarnation and so they pretend or lie to themselves about their motivation and minimize the downside and do whatever they must to keep the spigots on. The idealists and the criminal classes deliberately foment crisis as it benefits them and keeps them both solvent and energized. Talking heads, Antifa, NGO’s, feminists and the like. The remainder, those who have both a strong internal motivation to live in accord with their conscience and a solid bedrock of historical perspective are a very small minority but they wield an influence that far exceeds their small numbers because most of their actions are founded on reality and the ineffable forces of Physics and Nature; businessmen such as yourself, agrarians like myself, accountants like Admin. They rely on the feedback loop of what works and what doesn’t on a daily level and their discernment is as well developed as their passion for real liberty, to do as one’s conscience dictates, not to follow blindly what one is told.

What serves as the fulcrum for the great reset is always the point where the investment in one’s complicity is consumed by the cost.

“Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?”

It is a guarantor of failure, systemic and total.” Myself and a couple of friends of mine have been discussing this exact subject for the last few days. One of them is a retired post office executive. He retired because he had reached a level in his career where there was no advancement forward. He’s a black man. At a certain point, the only people the post office advanced were black women. So basically, he was spending a great deal of time cleaning up for the five incompetents that were his superiors. That would have been fine with him if that was his job. But he still had to do his job. And all five women made twice what he made. But ability wise, they were the passerby who were asked to rebuild the transmission. Absolutely clueless and so far away from having the ability to do the job. This is what multiculturalism and globalism has spawned. Legions of credentialed but incompetent people with responsibilities so far above their ability to even comprehend what needed to be done. So the result is failure of systems, failure of institutions. And that’s failure in the most expensive manner possible.

Star, you are spot on with the comments about your friend, the retired postal exec. I’m a 30 year employee of USPS, about to retire, and work every day in what he described. The majority of headquarter employees are non-white and women. Many ethnicities including middle eastern are also pushed up the corporate ladder to highlight our “diversity”. And yes, I personally know that many are not competent to produce what is expected except for their own boss completing a large portion of the work required to hold that position. The opposite is also true, that the lower grunts do the real job while the upper managers (not all but a good portion) don’t even remember what our real task is, or how to make improvements. I am sad to see what I have known as a once great organization change so dramatically because of political correctness that I will gladly leave and enjoy my retirement when that time comes.

SF, you hit the nail exactly on the head. I’m retired DoD/Navy civilian. I was proud to work in a position that I thought was Constitutionally legitimate. Not in SS, or HUD, etc. I spent the majority of my career cleaning up for f-ups. I worked with people who admitted they had not done a productive thing in x amount of years. Now I’m a contractor, again, cleaning up after f-ups. The only reason DoD functions well at all is due to the endless amount of money, and now that is not working completely.
One position I had was cost avoidance. It was easy, and I was motivated as a patriot ( don’t mock). I supported NAVAIR, and saved taxpayers – routinely – several Hundred Million Dollars every year. JUST BECAUSE OTHERS DIDN’T GIVE A SHIT. This was just in fighter and attack aircraft electronics. They only had two employees doing this. And only NAVAIR did this, no other Service or organization. The waste was staggering. They eventually eliminated the position – DUE TO FUNDING!!!

The pain in the US is going to be horrendous. The population does not understand that as 5% of the world’s population, they consume 25% of its resources. Generally, the US population is not prepared for the fact that that cannot last. The people are neither mentally prepared for it, nor physically prepared for it. Great hordes – at least 50% – rely on government handouts for their very existence. They contribute a net zero toward the upkeep of the nation. When the other 50% hit hard times, the repercussions on the 50% that are reliant on the national teat for their survival are going to be hit hard.

Compounding that, the future has already been spent. The govt $21+ Trillions in debt is but a drop in the ocean to the hundreds of trillions of unfunded liability accrued. Much of that liability is owed to the fifty percent that think they are contributing, and who are expecting a reward for that contribution at the end of the rainbow.

Compounding that further, the US is woefully unprepared for hard times. Infrastructure is crumbling and needs major overhaul virtually from the ground up. Water is becoming scarce in parts of the country – ie California.

And then there is public transport. Take Europe as an example. Public transport is good, or at least not bad, in much of Europe. In the US, outside of the big cities, it virtually does not exist. This will be a catastrophe as the general standard of living falls. People will have no means of getting around, when energy becomes more expensive and wages continue to stagnate or even dro further, which I expect. The US population is spread far and wide, and relies on personal transport. This is going to be a massive problem as things collapse.

So, to tie back to HSF article, people may know what is the truth. But they cannot face it, because the truth means to acknowledge that the lifestyle they have known is unlikely to continue, and the plans for a happy, fun future are likely to be anything but.

Maybe not? Inevitably,. the united States will reset the dollar. Turn in all your currency. Citzens will be given new ones. As for the 3 trillion notes outside the US. Too bad.

The same goes for German bonds. The Germans will make good on them for Germans. As far as foreigners holding them. Too bad.

http://www.deagel.com/country/forecast.aspx

There have been many questions about the countries forecast specially the one focusing on the United States of America (USA). They won’t be answered one by one but below you can find some explanation, thoughts and reflections. We are going to keep this as short as possible.

The majority of the economic and demographic data used in the making of the forecasts is widely available by institutions such as the CIA, IMF, UN, USG, etc. You can see the most relevant data at every single country’s page. There is a tiny part of data coming from a variety of shadow sources such as Internet gurus, unsigned reports and others. But all these sources are from the internet and are of public domain for at least a minority. For example, several years ago Dagong, the Chinese ratings agency, published a report analyzing the physical economy of the States comparing it with those of China, Germany and Japan. The conclusion was that the US GDP was something between $5 to $10 trillion instead of $15 trillion as officially reported by the USG. We assume that the official data, especially economic, released by governments is fake, cooked or distorted in some degree. Historically it is well known that the former Soviet Union was making up fake statistics years before its collapse. Western as well as other countries are making up their numbers today to conceal their real state of affairs. We are sure that many people out there can find government statistics in their own countries that by their own personal experience are hard to believe or are so optimistic that may belong to a different country.

Despite the numeric data “quantity” there is a “quality” model which has not a direct translation into numeric data. The 2014 strain of Ebola has a death rate of 50-60% but try to imagine what would happen if there is a pandemic of Ebola with hundreds of thousands or millions infected with the virus. So far the few cases of Ebola-infected people have “enjoyed” intensive healthcare with anti-viral and breathing assistance but above all with abundant human support by Physicians and nurses. In a pandemic scenario that kind of healthcare won’t be available for the overwhelming number of infected leading to a dramatic increase of the death rate due to the lack of proper healthcare. The “quality” factor is that the death rate could increase to 80-90% in a pandemic scenario from the stated 50-60% rate. The figure itself is not important what is relevant is the fact that the scenario can evolve beyond the initial conditions from a 50% death toll to more than 90%. By the way, no pandemic or nuclear war is included in the forecast.

The key element to understand the process that the USA will enter in the upcoming decade is migration. In the past, specially in the 20th century, the key factor that allowed the USA to rise to its colossus status was immigration with the benefits of a demographic expansion supporting the credit expansion and the brain drain from the rest of the world benefiting the States. The collapse of the Western financial system will wipe out the standard of living of its population while ending ponzi schemes such as the stock exchange and the pension funds. The population will be hit so badly by a full array of bubbles and ponzi schemes that the migration engine will start to work in reverse accelerating itself due to ripple effects thus leading to the demise of the States. This unseen situation for the States will develop itself in a cascade pattern with unprecedented and devastating effects for the economy. Jobs offshoring will surely end with many American Corporations relocating overseas thus becoming foreign Corporations!!!! We see a significant part of the American population migrating to Latin America and Asia while migration to Europe – suffering a similar illness – won’t be relevant. Nevertheless the death toll will be horrible. Take into account that the Soviet Union’s population was poorer than the Americans nowadays or even then. The ex-Soviets suffered during the following struggle in the 1990s with a significant death toll and the loss of national pride. Might we say “Twice the pride, double the fall”? Nope. The American standard of living is one of the highest, far more than double of the Soviets while having added a services economy that will be gone along with the financial system. When pensioners see their retirement disappear in front of their eyes and there are no servicing jobs you can imagine what is going to happen next. At least younger people can migrate. Never in human history were so many elders among the population. In past centuries people were lucky to get to their 30s or 40s. The American downfall is set to be far worse than the Soviet Union’s one. A confluence of crisis with a devastating result.

The Demographic crisis in the former Soviet Union countries has extended for over two decades, if we accept that it ended early in this decade (2010s). The demographic crisis will hit the World in the near future and is projected to last between three and eight decades more or less depending on technological breakthrough and environmental issues. The aftermath is more likely a frozen picture with the population numbers staying the same for a very, very long period of time. The countries forecast population numbers do reflect birth/deaths but also migratory movements. Many countries are going to increase their gross population due to immigration while their native population may shrink.

Over the past two thousand years we have witnessed the Western civilization built around the Mediterranean Sea shifting to Northern Europe and then by the mid 20th century shifting to an Atlantic axis to finally get centered into the States in the past 30 years. The next move will see the civilization being centered in Asia with Russia and China on top. Historically a change in the economic paradigm has resulted in a death toll that is rarely highlighted by mainstream historians. When the transition from rural areas to large cities happened in Europe many people unable to accept the new paradigm killed themselves. They killed themselves by a psychological factor. This is not mainstream but it is true. A new crisis joins old, well known patterns with new ones.

Sorry to disappoint many of you with our forecast. It is getting worse and worse every year since the beginning of the pre-crisis in 2007. It is already said that this website is non-profit, built on spare time and we provide our information and services AS IS without further explanations and/or guarantees. We are not linked to any government in any way, shape or form. We are not a death or satanic cult or arms dealers as some BS is floating around the internet on this topic. Take into account that the forecast is nothing more than a model whether flawed or correct. It is not God’s word or a magic device that allows that allows to foresee the future.

That was a concise and sobering analysis. It made several presumptions that are very unlikely to occur, namely the depopulation of North America in order to follow jobs. The sheer volume of resources available on this continent will not be abandoned simply to chase emerging currencies in Asia. And comparing the migration patterns of Africa and the sub continent of Asia, both bereft of the intellectual capacity of modern societies despite the mythos of a ‘brain drain’ isn’t comparable in any way, shape or form to the output of America. Plenty of our most recent parasite classes will decamp as soon as the freebies dry up, but heritage America will remain dug in absent a thorough nuking from coast to coast.

The future isn’t necessarily bright when you compare it to the full flower of what Western Civilization delivered over the past couple of centuries, but compared to the Sodom and Gamorrah that’s been allowed to flourish in the absence of any responsible adults in the room it will be a paradise, albeit with fewer luxuries for the elites.

Hardscrabble says:

but heritage America will remain dug in absent a thorough nuking from coast to coast.

It seems heritage America, with their guns, now remains the allegorical last man standing between liberty and national sovereignty (via the U.S. Constitution) and all-out globalism.

There is no way the global elite can efficiently disarm the American citizenry. However, a nuke or viral outbreak would go a long way in weakening the enemies of the New World Order.

But even a mere dollar crash and hyperinflation will* be devastating (* the use of the word “will” implies certainty and inevitability).

Most people are indebted to their eyeballs and all but very few have any knowledge of the old ways. They may be experts at the functions on their TV remotes, but not much else.

Ideally, in any respective community, people would work together to prioritize and meet the immediate needs of said community; especially in the early stages of any crisis. This would require planning ahead, or at the very least, immediate consensus and quick action after the fact.

If not, it will be every gang, and every family, for themselves.

During this election season, I have driven down city streets in neighborhoods of multiple towns and have seen neighbors right next door to each other, and just across the street from one another, with opposing candidate signs in their yards. This means they are, literally, sleeping just yards away from their ideological enemies.

I’m not trying to be Dougie Downer here, and am honestly only moderately executing devil’s advocacy for now. But perhaps we might consider hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. In other words, hoping like an optimist while planning like a pessimist.

Taking baby steps now will seem like giant leaps later?

Seeing as most political “opponents” are not as far apart as we are continually led to believe, after an initial freak-out there’s a chance people will re-form some semblance of community outside of currently monitored-and-imposed parameters.

Just before I moved to where I am (VT) there’d been a huge storm (Irene) that did untold damage. Both the tree-huggers and the “don’t tread on me” types rolled up their sleeves and just dug in, doing what was necessary to the extent they could, firing up the generators and the excavators, without crying and waiting for FEMA.

No doubt there will be friction, but I think there’ll be less of the political kind once push comes to shove, especially if the grid goes down, and people don’t have the Clown Show to follow.

OTOH, if the crisis is simply that food stops showing up to the supermarket one day, all else being equal, then I really can’t foresee.

“There is no way the global elite can efficiently disarm the American citizenry. However, a nuke or viral outbreak would go a long way in weakening the enemies of the New World Order.”
Or maybe an opiod crisis- making addicts out of thousands of GI’s in Vietnam with cheap drugs was a strategy, and shipping cheap generic Fentanyl direct to the U.S. may very well be part of the current strategy. For all of his heavy-handedness, Duterte’s slogan “Death to the pusher man” may be a matter of national survival.

Please let me interject the debt is actually twice that; $21+ Trillion cannot be accounted for by DOD and HUD. Catherine Austin Fitts discovered it and Dr. Mark Skidmore of U of Michigan and his grad students confirmed it:

HF, I told this story before and for the same reason as now, they have to disabuse us of the idea that we can expect any SS or Medicare, Uncle Sam is broke.

Anyway, the story is about a dude who got rejected for medical school. He didn’t have the nerve to face his hot live-in GF with the bad news so he shot her in the head while she slept.

I suppose he thought it was the nicest way to break it to her. Perhaps we shall all get a bullet in the head in our sleep as we nestle all snug in our beds, while visions of sugar-plums dance in our heads.

No one is broke if he can print his own money and force you to accept it. Whether you in turn will be able to buy anything with it is another matter, especially if he also controls the media and gets to announce there is no inflation.

You stupefy them at school, decades of drivel and useless shite. Any nail raised gets pounded down…independent thought is severely frowned upon. Now sit that fat, compliant fuck in front of a TV, “smart’ phone and pad… and Waazzam! The fruit disappears, just like your mind, and your soul.

Humiliation is very loud circuitry buried get deep in our psyches. It makes perfect sense. Way back when, even before the first concious thought, being ostracized from the group meant certain death. Humiliation awakens that primal terror… no wonder forgiveness comes slowly if ever.

Strange when you think about our, we can manage all sorts of abstract, but oh so real, horrors… up to and including the certainty of our own death, but embarrassment is somehow worse than them all. Le the Seinfeld joke…”for most Americans if you have to go to a funeral you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy. “
