In Ayn Rand’s penultimate magnum opus, “The Fountainhead”, there was a minor antagonist by the name of Ellsworth Toohey whose raison d’etre was to undermine Rand’s ideal man and protagonist, Howard Roark.
Although Toohey considered his parasitical power as having a major stifling effect on capitalistic society, in reality, all his cumulative efforts ended up as a mere minor footnote in the long march of Man; as evidenced in the story’s denouement and ensuing towering city skylines.
Of course, much of Rand’s life consisted of excoriating the parasitical aspect of the Collectivists and their government, as both defined by dependency; in stark contrast to the rugged self-reliance of the men who moved the world.
In The Fountainhead, a discussion took place whereby Toohey said he wanted to make the “ideological soil” infertile to the point where young heads would explode prior to expressing any individuality (or similar to that). Then, later, near the end, Toohey asked Roark what Roark thought of him, and the egoistic, self-reliant architect replied: “But I don’t think of you.”
In reality, is it possible today to ignore the Collective? Or, has it propagated sufficiently to where it can be ignored no longer?
Acceptance of reality requires honesty. And the author Ayn Rand identified reason as the means for Man’s thriving existence on this blue marble. Therefore, if we are to examine reality with honesty, then we must by all means factor logic and time as follows:
If (this), then (that)
Stated another way, either the decisions we make now will improve our reality in the days ahead – or, we will be worse off than we are at present.
Certainly, exercising logic now will prove more beneficial to our respective futures than irrationality. Perhaps, then, it’s time the rugged individualists deal with the Hive Mind in the here and now by scrutinizing how they manufacture and weaponize consensus via language.
There is a conception called the Arrow of Time that identifies moments as only moving forward; even as peoplekind can move in all directions within the fabric of time and space. In so doing, language is utilized to reason (i.e. think) as well as to examine, express, and even actuate our thoughts and emotions.
This is because language presupposes thought. A child can think before they can talk. The blind, deaf, and mute Helen Keller knew she existed before her teacher, Annie Sullivan, helped her to realize through the grasp of a piece of paper, the concept of being a “blank page”. In truth, language is the mode of thought, or the means by which to create consensus, to communicate, to choose, debate, and remember.
Furthermore, as the famous linguist Noam Chomsky identified, there are innate rules and structure to language which apply across various cultures. Indeed, these manifest logically, and in order, as sure as the reader is now processing the syntax and grammar of this very article at an average of 250 words per minute.
In correlation to the Arrow of Time, there also remains another conception in physics called the Second Law of Thermodynamics that states complex systems move from order to disorder over any period.
Perhaps this applies to language, and thought, and action, as well.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he
– Proverbs 23:7
Is that what’s happening? Because what we are witnessing now with the Hive Minded, like those who terrorized Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and others, is hyperbolic verbosity over logic, chants without reason and this has, in turn, transitioned the national political discussion into coercion.
Stated another way, the Hive Mind is currently reacting without logic; and this is how they castigate racism while disparaging Caucasians; how they attempted to hang an innocent judge under the guise of social justice; and how they are now undermining the election process while claiming every vote counts.
Even now, the Democratic Party, on behalf of the global elite establishment, continues to wage Jihad against the American Electoral Process via imaginary Russians and third-world-appearing Floridian election officials.
Undeniably, whether Donald Trump arrived right on schedule by accident, fortune, destiny, or design –he has definitely knocked over the proverbial apple cart, thus, exposing more rotten fruits then would have been revealed had he lost in 2016.
In turn, this raises another question: Is self-reliance and individual thought even viable options for the youth of America currently?
Because, like so much of Urbanity, it seems schools have become conformity centers where peer pressure and socialism are always in fashion. And now with the Socialist Silicon Valley Titans censoring social media? Fuggetaboutit. The kids. They’re toast.
Call it liberalism, leftism, or by any other name, all of Collectivism’s various designations are simply the means to Communism’s end. Communism is, in fact, Collectivism perfected; its most pure form. And this is why Vladimir Lenin once said, “The goal of socialism is communism”.
It’s also why many conservatives today, like talk-radio host Michael Savage, have sounded the clarion call over Socialists like the recently-elected Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and America’s loony liberal uncle, Bernie Sanders:
Sanders knows that Democratic Socialism is a cover for the outright seizure of property and freedom. He knows that Democratic Socialism is a cover for communism.
If anyone internet searches “steps to communist takeover”, they will find various itemizations ranging from newspaper columns, internet posts, letters to the editor, the “rules” of the communist activist Saul Alinsky, and even contravening assertions by online “fact checkers” claiming some of it to be “false”.
Even so, there are specific commonalities found in all of the various Steps to Communism as follows:
– Nationalization of health care
– Cloward-Piven-driven debt bubbles funding an ever-expanding welfare state
– Corruption of a nation’s youth via what is taught in schools and universities (Richard Cloward and Frances Fox-Piven were both professors at Columbia University; former President Obama’s alleged alma mater)
– Undermining of a nation’s spiritual foundations
– Class warfare (manifested today as identity politics)
– Gun confiscation
Like radicalized Islamic terrorists, The Collectivists act out their faith daily, as if their very eternal sex-life depends on it – as the conservatives continue playing political voting games. Perhaps this is because self-reliant folks just want to live their lives and be left alone. Sadly, however, you can’t debate with zealots. Instead, they must be defeated. But they will never be beaten if their ideological premises are accepted. This means their premises must be challenged, forthrightly, in the here and now.
As stated heretofore, consent and consensus are manufactured via language and if one word is ceded to The Collective, then they’ll take the entire lexicon to establish their propagandic narratives every time.
Illegal immigrants are not migrants or refugees, capiche? They are crossing the border illegally and this makes them invaders.
If sexual identity is relative in the Hive Mind based solely upon personal preference, then who the hell are they to tell this blogger to be more tolerant because I self-identify as a law-abiding, cisgendered, American male?
If homosexuality is genetic, then why not homophobia? What’s the problem? I was born that way.
As demonstrated via the Kavanaugh fiasco, the scumbag Democratic Party politicians will never be held to any real moral standard by their Marxist supporters. Yet, at the same time, ALL of these Marxists appeal to the honor and integrity of their ideological opponents to uphold the progressive outcomes for the Collective.
Interesting how that works, no?
Say what you want about the Left / Right march to tyranny, but the fact remains that Donald Trump’s daily tweets represent what so many unknown and average Americans (like this blogger) are thinking.
It’s also gratifying to see is how Trump uses his Bully Pulpit to wage psychological warfare on said Marxists via persuasion and specific language. Stated another way, the president utilizes the Hive Minded’s own orthodoxies against them.
Consider these two examples:
The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!
– Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump – 4:44 AM – 12 Nov 2018
Here, the Donald factually sows seeds of doubt regarding any after-the-fact electioneering. Next, he accurately states an “honest vote count is no longer possible”. Then, he presents the only viable, and legal, solution.
This is persuasion, pure and simple.
This second example shows how Trump, over the next two years, will continuously bang the Marxists like bongo-drums while simultaneously placing any economic setbacks squarely on their shoulders; in the service of 2020 vision, of course.
The prospect of Presidential Harassment by the Dems is causing the Stock Market big headaches!
– Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump – 7:34 AM – 12 Nov 2018
Presto chango. By using the word “harassment”, the president has just #MeToo’d the party soon to be in control of the U.S. House of Representatives. In other words, just as the Marxists always blame others for what they, themselves, do – so Trump is now doing the same thing right back into the monolithically blurred face of The Collective. Not only is the sexist, racist Hive Mind harassing our poor Caucasian male president, but, now, these harassers are going to crash the economy too.
“The prospect of Presidential Harassment”?
I’m sorry, but that is pretty clever. It might even be funny if it didn’t contain an element of truth.
Either way, in two tweets, Trump effectively utilized Saul Alinksy’s fourth, fifth, and sixth “Rules for Radicals” against the Alinskyites; who never fail to weaponize polarization:
…the fourth rule is: Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
…the fourth rule carries within it the fifth rule: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
…the sixth rule is: A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
This blogger, for one, enjoyed the tweets. Were you entertained?
It serves the Hive Mind right, and maybe it’s an effective way for nationalists to challenge the globalists. For instance, for far too long, The Collective has been allowed to conflate nationalism and legal immigration with racism. They did so by naming it “White Nationalism”. Once again, language.
On the recent Armistice Day 2018, we heard from Queen Elizabeth, French president Macron, and the UN secretary-general all warn regarding the dangers of nationalism. But there are differences between the nationalism of Trump and Brexit, as opposed to the Imperialism of dictators past.
Imperialism is when a nation desires global hegemony. Just as the elites, and their Collectivist useful idiots, always accuse others for what they themselves do – these globalists now accuse the nationalists of threatening world peace, when it is actually they who desire imperialism in the form of global communism.
This blogger, on the other hand, on Armistice Day was pondering upon the genocide of the Armenian Christians during WWI; how they were caught between Turkish imperialist rocks and Muslim hard places. If history rhymes, then this time, logic dictates it will very likely be a Caucasian Christian minority caught between an Islamic invasion and a gaggle of despotic, war mongering, globalist billionaires.
It is something to consider. Because the names may change but the stories always remain the same.
In plain language: The time for talking is past. Destiny looms, choose your way or it drags you.
Absolutely brilliant, as usual Sir.
Doug. You are assuming that they are not using logic, but they are using logic. Just not your version of logic. In your version you conflate physics and psychology. You can’t do that. There is no second law of psychology and by the way, there is actually no second law of thermodynamics. You are, in fact, standing on something that increases in order over time. But that does not mean that you are wrong. I suspect that you will be unable to understand what the communists are seeking until you accept that their logic is not your logic, and start to understand their logic.
Just a thought.
@ HR,
I appreciate that. And I always enjoy your perspectives. Yet, obviously, there are those who would most adamantly disagree that the 2nd Law of thermodynamics does not exist:
and/or
Regarding the Arrow of Time, language, thought (i.e. logic or lack thereof), and action, I will stand by the contentions as delineated in the above piece. Whether or not Physics conflates to Psychology is nit-picking because of my speculative statement, and ensuing question, as follows:
In any event, the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics applies as a means to understand language, thought, and action as a progression from order to disorder, no?
Perhaps the “heat” is life and the chilling effect is death. Or maybe the entropic return to equilibrium is seen as law (ethics? morality?) returning to man’s natural state(s): anarchy and tyranny.
Calling the impetus behind that progression “logic”, however, is definitely debatable.
Either way, I am no scientist or psychologist. Just someone trying to work it all out over here in a manner which others might understand.
OK, I admit to being a little bit drunk. It is necessary with all the smoke in the air which irritates the throat. But No. You fail to recognize that progressives, or communists to be precise, have completely different goals to your goals. In trying to use physics as a metaphor you obfuscate the underlying contention between the two systems of economics. Communism seeks to organize the economic life in one way and capitalism seeks to organize the economic life in another way. Their goals are not your goals so their logic is not your logic. Learn what motivates your opponent in order that you may defeat him.
It’s an interesting notion, and one I’ll be thinking about for a while.
In the meantime, if one looks to history, they’ll realize the Communist economic system leads to tyranny and genocide.
Perhaps it’s because communism is based on lies. And if lies are what we tell ourselves, then we’re back to language. And if the useful idiots are repeating history while expecting different results, then that’s not logical, ya know?
At the same time, I realize there are also those who would argue that drinking this early in the week isn’t logical. But, then again, others would say it’s the perfect time, because the weekend is so far away. ?
“… leads to tyranny and genocide.” Did you deliberately not include the entropy of collapse?
“… based on lies.” Rand, among others, declare that lies are a rejection of reality. They can be “gotten away with” for a while, but inevitably the burden of maintaining them becomes too great for the system itself to bear. Collapse follows at some point. Collectivists say “in the long run we’re all dead.” They work hard to make it sooner for their “enemies”, while at the same time desperately needing them to work, to stave off – collapse.
Is it possible that tyranny and genocide could be defined as an entropic collapse from a constitutional republic and civilized society?
And this is why the inevitableness of reality requires honesty and acceptance.
I don’t know who you are, wxtwxtr, what that stands for, how long you’ve been around, or where you came from, but I’m glad you’re here.
Yes. It takes far more philosophical(?) and social effort and energy to create and maintain a republic, which is perhaps the most evolved form of human civilization we’ve had. While collapsing, we can crash into all the others – democracy, dictatorship, communes, tribes, and families – on the way down; and finally me wandering alone in the wilderness.
Thank you. Have admired you, Robert & Jim for years. Trying to emulate HSF, HR, Stucky and others in the comments … between distractions. 🙂
My “Atlas” retirement was in y2k, in my 40’s, when I got tired of being “Hitler’s Architect”. The Portland Zoning and Building codes are currently about 700 pages each, so they’re still winning. But I’m free of that, having a great time, but not prospering.
True capitalism doesn’t seek to organize at all. True capitalism is voluntary association period. The ultimate for individual freedom… Chip
HR says “communism seeks to organise economic life in one way….” Which way and what economic system are you referring to?
Karl Marx never devised an economic system to support his ideology. That’s because it’s an idea not a system. Socialism (Communism, Marxism, whatever you want to call it) is unproductive, uncreative and as history proves, it always implodes and fails when it runs out of other peoples’ money.
It isn’t an economic system at all. At its base level it’s pure theft. It’s more of a parasitical exfiltration of wealth from the human commons. And by wealth, I mean not just financial, but energetic and spiritual too. Eventually it turns everything to dust….on a long enough timeline!
Can’t say I find anything logical in that way of thinking.
I knew a lot of “Communists” in grammar, junior and especially the all boy inner city vocational high school I attended, it was a bit of a blackboard jungle as the expression went back in the day. They all tried to take my lunch money, my deserts in the cafeteria, my self respect, intimidate me and really take away my freedom of movement. I suspect some of their spawn are in Antifa today.
I discovered it was easy and really simple to defeat the goals of their ideology and their tyranny and to be completely left alone by them. All I had to do when they tried to impose their brand of Communism on me was to immediately attack and viciously fight them.
One time the Commie was so much bigger I had to break a chair over his head. He never tried to impose his tyranny on me again. Another I had to use a stool on. He left me completely alone after that. Another Commie was bigger and winning so I had to break/snap one of his fingers. It must have been terribly painful because he ran away screaming like a girl at the top of his voice…holding his hand…and even was crying. He had his hand all wrapped up for a couple of weeks and the finger in a splint. He seemed to lose his enthusiasm for Communism after that. Another time I had to fight the leader of a pack of Commies and I beat him to a bloody pulp…after that I challenged his entire small group of Bolsheviks and they all disavowed their ideology!
It didn’t matter if I got the best fighting the Communists as I did often (I trained hard to fight the Commies from JR HS on) or I got the worst as occasionally happened. I was always willing to have a second fight if necessary…I never had to have a third no matter what happened…from that point on that Commie always left me completely alone. One I had to fight twice actually became my friend and years later after he had disavowed Communism I was the Best Man at his wedding.
I was one of the youngest and smallest students in the blackboard jungle HS I attended but was completely left alone by individual Commies and groups of Commies the last 18 months. Not one encounter. That is what happens when you attack them because of their tyranny and show them no quarter once engaged.
I learned everything I need to know about Commies in school. If there is more then one Commie always fight their leader. Once he is dealt with the useful idiot Socialists and Progressives and Liberals won’t even make eye contact with you. That is why today I own an armory and everything else needed to fight Commie tyranny effectively during the ongoing Fourth Turning.
I know exactly what to do when me and the Commies meet again.
Excellent point…I haven’t been approached by a communist in a long time…why? I think it’s because I exude hatred toward the bully. I’m 60, now…I STILL work out…my friends say I’m a nut, me? I’m in training; I’ve been in training since I was 14. These “People” only understand one thing, brute force. Since reasoning doesn’t matter, they have none, then fists are the perfect replacement.
Capndiesalot,
I turn 69 in a few weeks…I could have written your post word for word.
I constantly work out physically and with the 2nd amendment.
“In turn, this raises another question: Is self-reliance and individual thought even viable options for the youth of America currently?”
Not if we just give up on them! Yes you can certainly influence your own kids and much of it is up the the parents. But many boys especially gamers are being influence by youtube suggestions and it seems to be working against youtubes own goals. It’s interesting to hear my 13 year old grandson tell me what comes up on his youtube suggestions because he is a pretty serious gamer. I think gamergate may be the reason why this happened but I’m not a gamer so I’m just guessing. If his mom knew what he is watching she would be horrified.
If you have a nieces of nephews you are close to, you can get into conversations with them just to get them thinking. Just don’t give up on them. They are easily influenced if you just figure out how to get them talking and they like to think about things. They know school is just a prison for the mind.
Doug – I like how you are able to paint a picture into our minds thru the use of language. It is a unique talent and you are very good at it.
You do have the advantage of expressing it in English, which is probably the most versatile written and spoken language in human history. Even the Khmer language with its 74 letter alphabet, 33 consonants, 23 vowels and 12 independent vowels is not as versatile as English with all of its rules, exceptions, variations, and nuances.
Virtually anything that you can see, hear, or even imagine can be expressed in English to the point of communicating it exactly to another person. The level to which someone can take advantage of that versatility is up to each of us. You are quite good at it and I very much enjoy how you write. You could probably write your grocery list and make it an enjoyable read.
You are our own Sir Henry Neville (aka: William Shakespeare).
Thank you, Steve. That’s very kind of you to say.
All I know is that I get angry and beneath the mad is sad and beneath the sad is fear. The sadness and fear are more so for the next generation, and my own offspring in particular.
I feel better when I write, so the catharsis benefits me as well and keeps me from flipping off other drivers, kicking other people’s pets, and other things much worse.
All in all, I was inspired by others here and found their courage contagious.
Even if it turns out bad for me later, which it likely will, I’ll have no regrets.
Fuck the man, his black horse, and everyone on his side. It is what it is. There isn’t any more.
Doug, in my mind this is one of your best pieces ever. Maybe the best. And maybe the best piece ever posted on this site. It is great because it identifies the methodology of the communist take over of the free world.
So who are the communists? Well let’s see. Marx, a jew. Lenin, a jew. Alinski, a jew. The list goes on and on but in the end, the conclusion must be that communism is an extension of the jewish faith. The only place on earth that still has communes is israel. All of the proponents of communism are jewish.
And by deceit you will wage war.
When you find yourself to be a tiny sect of belligerent jews fighting the largest empire ever seen, you can only fight as a guerilla. When you are pressed on all sides, you have to develop strategies that hide in the shadows. And as the millennia have slipped by in a dead straight arrow of time, they, the jews, have refined the concept of Judaism into the sword and shield of communism. And central to that development is the management of language. And language and it’s management are the central concept at the core of education, and communications.
Hitler failed to spread socialism at the point of a spear. They learned a lesson. Marx and Lenin failed to spread communism. They learned a lesson. One might argue that Hitler was not a jew, but his backers were. Every penny he used to pave the way to National Socialism came from jewish bankers around the world. As did the funding for Napoleon, and Marcon, and May, and Trump. The papers that paved the way for all of these people were owned by jews. The universities were full of jews teaching not Judaism, but language and philosophy.
And by deceit you will wage war.
Why is communism atheistic? Because Judaism is atheistic. Why is communism “from each according to their ability, to each according to their need?” Because on a leveled playing field no player is able to muster an advantage over the small group of jews.
So you see, Doug, they are using logic. Their logic says that if we don’t subvert these brutish assholes they are going to wipe us out just like we wiped out other tribes around us. So logically, they subvert your words. Redefine the very method of communications so that you can’t wipe them off the face of the earth. You, not being threatened, can not understand their logic. They, being threatened, have had to develop this logic over thousands of years.
And you think that there is no logic in their methods. There is logic in their methods. Just not in the thoughtless troglodytes that they employ to march as zealots to their own destruction. There are no jews in the mob in front of Tucker’s house. There are precious few of them out in the cold on the pussy march and there are no jews dressed in black hurling rocks at windows and burning cars. These are white middle class gentiles who have been slow dripped the communist manifesto for 100 years.
If you want to win this war, and it is a war, you will have to win it with words. If you are to win it with words you will have to engage the enemy with words. Words are their weapons. Pick up a weapon and set to. Have at them.
Several months ago a guy who likes to hang out at the local biker cafe on Fridays was trying to convert me to communism. He continuously spouted liberal SoCal talking points. He just made everybody else hate him but I like to contend so he went after me. Finally, I looked him straight in the eyes and asked him “so, you are a communist?” He still comes every Friday, but he doesn’t try to convert me any more. He apparently never realized that what he was saying was communism and when he was confronted with the reality of his dreams for society he realized the horror contained within. You have to call them out. You have to name the horror. You have to be able to say “Voldemort” without fear.
And no one else can do this. This job is yours. If you can not do it we are all lost.
So Just Do It.
@ HR,
I see what you are saying and will concede that you have made your points eloquently.
If all of your premises above were true, than so would your conclusions be correct.
I will, of course, seriously consider your comment above; even reading it a few more times.
At first blush, however, I will tell you what I have told others here on many occasions before: I simply don’t see what you claim to see.
By your own admission, you acknowledge that not all Communists are Bolsheviks. Perhaps, therefore, it becomes a slippery slope when we conflate ideology with genetics?
Actually, there is no “perhaps” about that slippery slope if we look to history, no?
Consider totalitarianism in all its various forms. Whether the hell on Earth is delivered via theology (Islam, Judism), secularism, facism, or Marxism – regardless of whoever is paying the bills, they all have one thing in common: They’re all administered by men trying to establish their own versions of heaven on Earth.
You say:
Yet, by no means is Israel even close to being Orwell’s Oceania, is it? Quite the opposite in fact. Israel is a thriving democracy with more freedoms than we have here in the U.S. The reason is because they have a multi-party, vibrant political system whereas America has only two parties, or rather, more accurately, fast becoming a uniparty system (like Orwell’s Oceania).
And here is where those who wish to simplify the vilification of ideologies into (((DNA))) might begin to accuse me of being part of the conspiracy. After all, that would be easier, and more gratifying, then considering my perspectives as a free man.
Which leads me to something I would like for you to consider, but you would have to open your mind in order to not be predisposed against it; if that’s possible.
But there is another premise that would lead to your exact conclusions above and it has everything to do with the Jews and Israel.
What do you suppose that would be?
Wow Doug. Now who is drinking in the middle of the week? Israel is indeed Oceania, which has always be at war with the muslims. Israel is not a democracy. It was purchased by a Rothschild and set up as the jewish home state by the british. Merika has always been a uniparty system of oligopoly. It isn’t becoming one. The rich people have always gotten what they wanted and the poor people have always been asked to shoulder the burden. Fight the wars. Shed the blood.
And why would you propose an alternative without stating it explicitly. You know you are better than that. Stand up and use your words to state your contention. I will respond with an open mind. But right now I have to see if I can get to the Rock
Store to help clean up after the fire.
OK, Rob. Let’s first consider your premises as follows:
– Israel is at war with Islam. (or vice versa maybe?)
.
– Israel is not a democracy (It is, in fact a parliamentary democracy with at least 17 political parties participating)
And in the interest of brevity and boredom, I will not bother dispelling these premises:
You see, this is why it’s so useless to debate this Jewish question on forums such as these. How can you be so sure of what you think you know? You can’t. And now we’re back to faith. It’s no different than if I quoted you these Bible Prophecies:
You say, they say. Yawn. No minds will be changed.
Yet you EXPECT me to use my words to state my contention when I don’t have one. I don’t NEED to have one at this time, do I? Why can’t I just watch and see? More importantly, why do you NEED to be so sure; because whatever that is – it is not “open-mindedness”, is it?
If your premises are correct, or the premises of the theologically inclined are correct – either would provide similar observations with even similar conclusions (via, Man, God, or the Devil) subject to varying interpretations along the way.
The reason I asked you “What do you suppose that would be?” is because, unlike you, I will admit to not knowing. Why won’t you? And, if you do claim to know, then how can you be so sure? Based upon what you’ve read on the internet? Even so, is that not faith; one way, or another?
What if the Jewish Question is spiritual in nature? I suspect you would categorically deny that whereas I am willing to, at least, acknowledge the possibility. And if I don’t know, how could I contend either way? And that’s why my eyes gloss over the entire subject. It’s too soon to tell.
Now can we please get back to debating the logic of language and ideology instead of all this supernatural, metaphysical sideshow stuff that never goes anywhere anyway here? Unless your faith won’t allow that?
I appologize for being unclear. I am on your side. I agree that words are being used as weapons as yo so eloquently pointed out in his comments. All of that is freely given and eloquently stated in your post. My comment was an extrapolation. I was not referring to metaphysics. I was asking a fundamental question. Who were the communists? Jews. Who is corrupting the education system. Frankfort – jews. Who controls the government. Jews. Who then is changing the words? Jews are changing the words. Jews are using words as weapons against you.
I suggest that you look into the genesis of israel. How Lord Rothschild bought parcels of land from the palistinians and then asked for recognition for his newly purchased homeland from Lord Balford (of Bob’s your uncle fame). But none of that is actually what I am trying to point out. You are clearly stating the problem. Somebody is using words as a weapon against us. I ask, who is it that is using words as a weapon. I never suggested that metaphysics is involved. I think that it is real clear who would seek to use words to destroy their enemies.
The jew cries out in pain as he strikes at your heart.
HR,
Again. I always enjoy our discussions and, especially, how you put your thoughts together.
My piece above, in large part, examines time and logic. And, sometimes the most logical observations includes weighing the odds.
In our debate (if we can even call it that), you use the classification of Jews, seemingly, as a 100% pejorative and, in my opinion, that isn’t logical.
Consider Israel: Whether or not that nation was conceived in iniquity within the dark dungeons of Lord Rothschild, in no way could explain their modern successes in war and economic growth alike. Why do they so rarely lose?
Just because I can’t explain it, doesn’t mean it’s at the behest of Jehovah God or Satan via his Illuminati puppets, ya know?
And, now, setting aside the metaphysical aspects for a moment, what if the Israelis earned their success on their own accord? Why, then, wouldn’t they be entitled to their spoils like any other nation since the dawn of time?
Sure Uncle Sam has subsidized Israel just as they have provided billion$ to Arab nations and shady organizations like the PLO, et al; as well as decades of mutually profitable relations with countries like Saudi Arabia.
So it’s a wash, in my opinion.
Furthermore, as mentioned in a comment below regarding the subject of my introductory paragraphs in the above article, Ayn Rand: She was Jewish, an atheist, and an anti-communist super-hero. Moreover, Peter Schweitzer, the author of Clinton Cash, descends from a line of Ashkenazi Jews.
And here is where, those who’ve I’ve debated before say: “But, but, we don’t mean ALL Jews are bad”. Yet, it seems that is always EXACTLY what they are saying (like in your own comments above).
Logically, either all Jews are satan’s seed (Genetics) OR some are bad and some are good LIKE EVERY OTHER RACE.
So that’s where it always breaks down with me. I simply don’t see that all Jews are bad. And if they are not, then your (and others) GENERALIZED INDICTMENT of them ALL (in your above comments) is both irrational and unfair. Still, although it may be unlogical, it sure is seductive, isn’t it? Why is that? But be careful – how you answer that question might just make my point(s).
Again, I’m not trying to persuade one way or the other. Out my respect for you, I only want to demonstrate my point of view and explain why I find the entire topic tediously mundane.
In closing, I just have an open mind. Again, I’m not Jewish. I’m not a Zionist or a neocon puppet. My ancestors were Irish, Scott, and Saxon; as well as eighteenth century settlers on this continent: coal-miners, educators, law-enforcement, military, ranchers, farmers, administrators, physicians, and pioneers who passed from New York through the Midwest into Northern California and Washington State.
I have no stake in the (((question))) whatsoever.
Also – as an aside, when you wrote:
I found that to be irrational, if not slightly terrifying. Just sayin’
I didn’t write it. It is an ancient Polish proverb. Apparently.
And now we get to the core of the question. Can you expound on how language is used to corrupt a society without considering the source of that corruption? This has nothing to do with your linage. It has nothing to do with the devil or with god. It has nothing to do with winning wars. The central question that grows naturally from you post is…who is it that uses language to corrupt a society? Perhaps you don’t feel that you have that knowledge, or is it that you have been driven into silence by the language corruption? Maybe you actually do have a stake in the question. You have just been taught to avoid the obvious answer.
HR asks:
Those wish to become like gods.
HR says:
Nor the Jews?
Or does it have everything to do with all three?
Do you know how one discerns the language of false orthodoxy?
The arrow of time.
Even though I may not have the knowledge, I will tell you the only way I’ll be silenced is by a stake through my black heart. Then all the answers I’ve never been taught won’t be avoided.
That was a bit disappointing Doug. One does not have to devolve into mysticism to explain what is happening. The sources of the discomfort that you express are clear to those who would see.
Clear to those who see what they want to see maybe. The question no one truly plumbs, is “why”. And that’s the mysticism right there.
When we have one eye on our destination, we only have one eye to see where we’re going; and this is why we miss so much after we’ve decided.
In Jim Carrey’s “Number 23” was the number actually manifesting more, or was he merely noticing that number more to the exclusion of others?
And even if the odds venture pass probability, how can we know the reasons. What if Jews just have above average intelligence for either good or evil? Would that still be a conspiracy in your eyes?
And if Jews do have an above-average intelligence, how did that happen? A kosher diet and lack of inbreeding?
My above article is posted on Zero Hedge, and in the commentary, someone there called Jews “rats”.
In my own experience, I had once had a rich neighbor who was Jewish. He called me one time because he had a bird stuck in his gutter and he was afraid he would kill it if he tried to set it free – so he asked me to help. I did.
My neighbor wasn’t a rat. By any definition, he was a fine fellow who was afraid to harm what he considered to be the smallest of Jehovah’s creatures.
My bad for disappointing you. Have you considered lowering your expectations? Because it’s bigger than both of us, either way.
But even if I could explain it to you I couldn’t understand it for you; and likewise. Fortunately, however, we
may have some more time.
In Orwell’s “1984”, one of the primary tools of tyranny was the destruction of language. If the words with which we express ourselves creatively and politically can be proscribed, twisted into meaninglessness, or re-defined out of existence, then thought itself is constricted. If thought itself is constrained by a dearth of words with which to express it, then those who no longer have the ability to express themselves as reasoning adults will soon no longer have the ability to think in any but the most simplistic and childish patterns. We already see this process at work in the juvenile antics of the left and, to a somewhat lesser extent, in the boilerplate ranting of the right.
If the Tooheys of the world wish to see their perverse ideology of bureaucratic totalitarianism come to full flower, the twisted wreckage of perverted language must be thrown up as a barricade to free thought. More than that, they must reduce the ability of those whom they would rule to think for themselves. This is being accomplished even now by the reduction and destruction of language.
No matter where you are on the political spectrum, slavish thought is the precursor to slavish behavior. The murder of the mind is the harbinger of physical slaughter. The people must be made to think like cattle before they will passively accept the cattle cars.
Not to sound overly patronizing or condescending, but X’s comment is a fine example of English usage, logic, and orderly presentation, right there.
Also interesting to note the use of “Hypnopaedia” in Huxley’s “Brave New World”, which also demonstrated the weaponization of language in molding consensus:
I usually make up a neologism every month or so. 🙂 Particularly applicable here is “propaganducation“, which is usually applied by big.gang.guv at the behest of their merger partner big.gang.biz.
It’s just that nobody repeats it over their cribs 48 times a night for four years. 🙁 “They” are ignoring me! Eek! Regardless, English has grown with the internet, particularly in the realm of fun and “cool”.
“If history rhymes, then this time, logic dictates it will very likely be a Caucasian Christian minority caught between an Islamic invasion and a gaggle of despotic, war mongering, globalist billionaires.”
From this link… http://www.threeworldwars.com/albert-pike2.htm …comes this paragraph.
The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the ‘agentur’ of the ‘Illuminati’ between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion. We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time.
Yikes!!!, as that sure looks like what’s happening! Although; Rom 5:8… “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” There’s always that 🙂
Let’s look at one sentence fragment again. “…whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration…”
Rom 10:2… “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.”
We need to KNOW some things lest we be without compass or direction. Time, I fear, runs short. Romans 3-8 KJB.
Thanks for the thoughts as always Uncola!
Well that’s a lot to chew on. You pack a great deal into each piece lately, so it’s hard to know where to start a conversation after that.
Let’s start with this: not one person in a thousand would bother to read what you’ve written even if it were widely available, not because it isn’t well-written or important to consider, but because they haven’t the intellectual capacity to understand the basic premise. That’s a hard pill to swallow. Most people with superior IQ’s tend towards the belief that other human beings have, on average, the same level of intelligence yet lack the education or access or whatever other excuse is available to explain away their ignorance or lack of curiosity, but that’s simply not true. Just because someone can drive a car or earn a degree from a college doesn’t mean that they are capable of much more than imitating forms and behaviors that imply a level of intelligence that they do not possess.
Out of that 1:1,000 population are the ones that benefit from the current collectivist thrust in modern Western societies- criminals, politicians, media figures, entertainers, corporate officers and the associated classes of mandarins and sycophants that benefit from it’s existence. Another percentage are those who cannot risk losing their standing both socially and economically, who have family members, friends, colleagues and associations that demand they fall in line with The Narrative, even if they disagree vehemently with the policies and behaviors of an increasingly unhinged and reckless path paved by psychopathic elites. Whatever small number that remains are often filled with those who have “Gone Galt” or who, in their rugged individualism, have ceased to participate in any form of social interaction.
And here is the kicker. We are wired this way. Collectivism is a necessity for human survival. That this human drive has been hijacked by opportunistic adversaries of liberty, like corporations, political parties, and various and sundry cartels and organizations in order to benefit themselves at the expense of individuals is obvious, but it is also a failure of our own ability to conquer our hungers and instincts. The reason people are so fat is because they cannot control the survival instinct to eat certain foods we are driven to consume for their caloric and fat content because we evolved under far harsher conditions than we enjoy today. With those kinds of things available with virtually no equivalent expenditure of energy required to obtain them, the only thing standing between the average American and a death from obesity is our own self-discipline. Combine that with a culture that actively promotes the complete abandonment of all limitations on our most basic drives and you’ve got a population that could pass for a carnival side-show.
Nature has this unyielding drive to push both individuals and their respective species to the very limits of their possibilities, in competition for resources as a collective and for reproductive success as individuals. In moderation these imprinted drives improve the health and vigor of each succeeding generation, but taken to their limits they become pathological. Yet even this is a strategy that improves the remainder.
This endless see-saw between the crushing gravitational weight of the Collective as it descends into the abyss and the heavenly ascent of the rare and gifted individual that manages to rise to unimaginable heights improves us whether we are capable of apprehending it’s immutable logic or not.
Those of us who can see what is happening, who can still make whatever choices or decisions that remain have an obligation to raise honorable children into adulthood, filled with the ideas and the history, the knowledge of the past and the hope for the future so that they may one day become an Odoacer or Alaric, raised within the decay of a dying Empire and able to rise from within, to defeat it with it’s own weapons and training.
“And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past…”
F.S.F.
That was great. Good to see you Hardscrabble.
That’s a really astute point. Because there is a good kind of collectivism based on mutual respect and benefit; as opposed to the controlling kind. Cohesive instead of coercive, if you will.
Must consider scale and its’ effect.
Nice comment, HSF. I disagree that most smart people do not understand that they are smart, and others not. Quite the contrary. I just think that they often pretend that the stupid can achieve the same results as the smart, to support their own, often evil, agendas. The loony left are Exhibit A, where they say if you throw money at a problem, then the outcomes will be the same for everyone. And we all know that is a lie. They know it too.
Also – Hardscrabble says:
With some articles, I would hope they’d be shared with the sleepwalkers that some might wake up.
Other articles, like this one, are perhaps written more with the remnant in mind; of which there’s been a very good attendance so far on this thread.
Overall, it’s a hell of a lot more rewarding, and gratifying, than watching TV
I was wondering who you were writing to. I couldn’t share your new essay. My friends already think I’m just a bit “different “.
“…quite the contrary. I just think that they often pretend that the stupid can achieve the same results as the smart, to support their own, often evil, agendas.”
Sometimes. As a late middle-ager, one of my great regrets is the impatience and irritation I exhibited at one of my children in particular as he was growing up. I regularly reacted to his seemingly profound refusal to accept and learn basic common sense things. It turns out that he had certain severe disabilities that made learning certain things incredibly difficult for him. He wasn’t lazy, unfocused, or stubbornly stupid. He just couldn’t get some things easily or quickly. (many things). My emotional reactions to the speed of his learning were based on a refusal to believe there was something “wrong with him”.
For many reasons, many people are very slow (or unable) to understand what seem like very basic ideas (like freedom, tyranny, personal responsibility, etc.). Ascribing to them moral or intellectual deficiencies involves many assumptions. I have found HSF’s words to be more accurate in most cases: “not because it isn’t well-written or important to consider, but because they haven’t the intellectual capacity to understand the basic premise.”.
I sleep better at night knowing you have kids to pass your wisdom on to.
In all truth, WCD, I rarely talk about my kids to anyone outside of immediate family. Because if I do, they think I’m bragging. ?
I keep getting downvoted for saying collectivism is “wired” or an evolved adaptation mechanism….and some high fraction (30%?) of the population (white, black, Asian etc) are actively supporting government power to obtain resources from the “producers”…..
So what is an appropriate response? Blame the Joos? Move to Galt’s Gulch? The challenge is that even if all current collectivists magically reformed or disappeared, the next generation of humans would still have that 30% of commie rats……Seems like we are constantly bailing a leaky lifeboat…….
I agree with you. I hope I didn’t downvote you accidentally.
The leaky lifeboat is human nature. Eradication of that collectivist motivation isn’t necessary and would, at some point, get diminishing returns. Human nature ensures that no government can be perfect. The question, it seems to me, is how to create and maintain a system that keep those collectivist urges in check and at a manageable minimum. Over the long haul, this may be impossible. As we’ve seen, representative republics devolve into simple democracies, democracies devolve to aristocracies, and aristocracies devolve to totalitarian dictatorship. Many of the “Founding Fathers” predicted this, and they came up with only one solution.
Then the cycle repeats.
Truth!
This is a general reply to the article and comments, but fit best with HSF’s, and as is my usual style, I will spray some thoughts at the page in no particular order and hit post before I can change my mind.
To be sure there are people who cannot understand these ideas, but there are far more who simply won’t. And no wonder. It is massively difficult to question the simple framework of an ideology and move in the complex and nuanced arguments that make up reality. This leads in to an idea I would have mocked a few short years ago, but now recognize as self-evidently true: the Psyche lies far closer to the foundation of civilization, of all humanity really, than the intellect. The logic behind this could not be more clear…before a person, or a a tribe of them, can utilize their intellect to build something of value, they must decide to want that thing of value. This seems so simple and so ingrained in our psyches as to be simply an intrinsic human characteristic but that is wrong. It took many tens of thousands of years for humanity to develop the framework of language, yes, but also morals in order to build anything. Call it a spiritual process or not–it does not matter, because it plays out that way despite the semantics used–the ability to set common goals above simple immediate needs is a development on par with that of consciousness itself. Truly staggering. Today, we have this incredibly stable thing known as civilization and all we can do is point out all its flaws (and, granted, there are many) instead of looking in awe at just how incredible it is. And we mess with it at our peril…which is exactly what the the radical left is doing and the process is very much what this article states…
“Tyranny is the deliberate removal of nuance” – Albert Maysles
We are instinctively collective to be sure. There is power in groups that cannot be denied. Think of so simple a thing as moving…two men can accomplish much more than twice what one man can…extrapolate that out to the level “corporations, political parties, and various and sundry cartels and organizations” or Nation States. However, the true genius of Western Civilization is to lower that deep-seated need for a group identity and place above it the sovereign individual….no concept in history even comes close in scope, power and practical utility. The problem is that is is HARD and it places the responsibility for all of life’s overwhelming difficulties and places them squarely on the shoulders of each and every individual capable of shouldering them…and by extension those most able to shoulder the burden must voluntarily shoulder that burden for those who cannot do so–which, hell, is all of us at some point or another. Well, who wants to do that???? In the short term, NO ONE. Only those willing to look long term and realize that it is the ONLY strategy with any chance of stability. Those who would rule know that the weakness for favoring the moment over the long run and use it against us. The very real benefit of raising the collective identity above the individual is the removal (for a short while) of that burden of responsibility. It is the literal road to hell (on Earth) and yes it is very broad indeed.
So, how have we managed to ever build anything? It is a very valid question. I’m reaching here, but my answer is something akin to “by the Grace of God.” Even if you don’t believe in such, it is still a viable answer. We have another deep instinct like that of belonging to a group and that is the instinct for MEANING. There is something in us that searches, desperately, longingly for something to make life worth living…far beyond our mere instinct for survival. Even when (or perhaps mostly when) we are suffering desperately, suffering at the hands of true evil manifested by our fellow humans, it shines forth and allows the starving to give their last morsel of food away or the innocent to take a beating for the guilty or for the persecuted to genuinely love and forgive their persecutors. None of this makes any sense…not one bit of it is rational…but it is wholly good and noble and the very best of humanity. This is how freedom is born from tyranny..a process as old as the West.
To my mind, there is no way this is accidental and we just figured it out through evolution, trial and error. There is a spark of the divine at the heart of this, just don’t ask me to define it.
A quick note on the Second Law of Thermodynamics…if universally true (and I understand HR’s questioning of this) it IS time or so closely interwoven with time as to be indistinguishable. What drives time forward is an answerable question. What makes it only go forward is the Second Law…the irreversible nature of entropy. With each passing moment the entire universe is forever changed. Similar moments ensue for billions of years but none ever identical.
Drud, I don’t want to make this thread about the second law of thermodynamics, but I do want to address your point about the relationship between time and entropy. Einstein suggests that there is no time or space but rather space/time. I don’t find that construction compelling but I do suggest that there has been no physical relationship between time and entropy as you suggest. Space/gravity and time, sure you can argue that. But not time and entropy.
But interestingly enough, immutable laws of the cosmos aside, we all live on a planet. That planet, we surmise, was formed from the remnants of a long dead star. This is the only way we could have elements much above carbon, as that is the last element that does not require the energy of a supernova to produce. So here we sit, typing on our computers, on a bunch of stuff that was pulled together through the action of the gravitational attraction that exists between all matter. Our planet didn’t irreversibly devolve into an entropic sludge, for as the gravity that holds it together is an intrinsic property of mass, those particles will always be held together until they are blown apart by the next supernova. Something that none of us are going to be around to watch.
Interesting point, but not the central theme of Doug’s post. This is why I railed against using physics tropes in a discussion of communists and how they formulate and spread their bile.
I’ll start from the end and work my way up: “This is why I railed against using physics tropes in a discussion of communists and how they formulate and spread their bile.” – Couldn’t agree more, which is why I held my physics comment till the end and tried to convey it entirely as an interesting (to me) aside.
The heavy metals being formed inside a star idea is on less firm ground in my mind than general relativity…I find it a little odd that you state it as such clear fact. The EU guys have done a great job of poking holes in the notion of purely gravitational planetary formation and capture, along with the notion of stars being merely giant balls of hydrogen undergoing fusion, on that basis I have begun to question every single notion of the standard model.
The Laws of Thermodynamics play out very well here on Earth and in our Solar System. Universality is always an assumption…we MUST make assumptions, but we must also be able and willing to question them at will. I still see the Laws of Thermodynamics as inextricably linked to time and in opposite ways. The First Law states that Mass/Energy is conserved ACROSS time. The Second Law that energy must always be changing and losing order. The more I look at the basic structure of reality, I find these types of dipoles and we inhabit the space between them–Order and Chaos perhaps being the most fundamental as Peterson lays out. maybe, just maybe, that is not only a psychological but a cosmological structure as well. The Laws of Thermodynamics setting up another set )of perhaps an infinite set?) of dipoles that could perhaps be labeled Stasis and Change–again with out universe inhabiting the domain between them.
The effects of General Relativity cannot be argued…the proposed cause of them is mathematical gerrymandering…one possible explanation in an infinite sea of ignorance. That is not to dismiss the genius of Einstein’s work, but just an expression of his fundamental limitations of being human.
I am right with on that. He even said that his equations were only an approximation and that he could not hope to suggest that they would apply everywhere.
Drud says:
That’s the only way to roll. Pedal to the metal. Balls to the wall.
That’s when the magic happens.
Also – I like the conception of time’s equation as being emergent instead of fundamental. Like a movie made of still frames (fundamental) appearing animated (emergent) – or how molecules have no “tide” per se, but that’s what they create. Fun to think about.
The way this thread is going, we might even formulate The Theory of Everything before we’re done
Correction: “or how water molecules have no “tide”, but that’s what they create”, that is
Interesting idea to think about. Kind of like the notion of “quantum Relativity” which is not great name but does provide a new way of thinking about things. The idea is that basically, instead of the string theory model, where quantum interactions create matter/energy which is the placed upon the canvas of space-time (per General Relativity)…it changes the foundation and says that quantum interaction not only create the matter/energy but ALSO create space and time.
The video embedded under “Arrow of Time” in my article references Wheeler-Dewitt which factors time out of the equation
As you say HSF, much to unpack . As I don’t wish to write a book here, let me just propose that indeed minds can be changed, hearts can be opened, souls redeemed, and the veil lifted before the eyes of the blind. Sure, a higher intelligence and openness to new ideas and perspectives help, but just as a gifted attorney can lead a jury of average people to a conclusion they would never have previously entertained, so can some people have their hearts and minds opened. Some are of course irredeemable. Tragically, we can’t help them. But for those who are I maintain it is our duty, possibly our imperative, to at least try; even if in a small way. Maybe I’m delusional about this, but I simply can’t face the idea that many can’t be led to this perspective of liberty and nonaggression. In the end, these things coupled with compassion are the only remedy I see for what we deal with during life on earth. Btw….the devil is in the details, metaphorically speaking of course.
We both borrowed from Ayn Rand this week.
Historically, there’s been a strong correlation between presidential popularity and the stock market. Feeling that a stock market crash is long overdue, I wonder if Trump will somehow be able to escape the correlation. I like the way you highlight the way he’s preemptively absolving himself from blame. It probably won’t work, if the kind of market crash I envision is in offing, but it’s clear he recognizes the problem.
The Rules for Radicals was always a handbook for third-rate minds, and they’ve only achieved what they’ve achieved because their opposition, at philosophical root, has no idea what it believes beyond inconsistent and stale slogans. The ROR’s rhetorical tricks are pretty pedestrian, and Trump is having no trouble turning them around. It should have been done long ago.
Benjamin Franklin said experience was a dear school, but it was a fool’s only teacher. The experience (aka reality) coming down the pike will be a dear school indeed. Many people of all political stripes will flunk, whatever passes for thought in their minds exposed as garbage. There’s more justice than you might think out there.
Another fine article, I’ll post it tonight or tomorrow.
Thank you, Robert. As stated over on your thread, I see it all as a collaborative effort in friendly inspiration; and not just here, but all over the free internet.
I saw your “unity” piece on ZH. Nice work.
“A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way.”

Thank you!
I’m of the opinion that what is missing are absolutes. I have been trying to document my principles, and at the start I began by trying to prove them. What I found was that principles can’t be proven. It’s like trying to make heat flow from cold to hot, or water uphill. So I am simply expressing principles hoping that they help others.
(1) Logic isn’t helpful if a premise is false. That means even armed with reason, it isn’t always possible to create consensus.
(2) Similarly, language can’t be used to communicate, until words have a common definition.
So you’re correct, the game is rigged. Education doesn’t help because education is now skill based, not principle based. Talk doesn’t help, because talk is a simple plea when the need is a good slap of cold hard reality.
Actually, thank you, Emil. Great points.
Regarding your # 1 above, Ayn Rand advised that we should always check our premises and I’ve always believed your 2nd contention to be absolutely crucial; especially in the mornings before coffee when this blogger is particularly anti-semantic.
Coffee is useful for lots of things but that’s one I haven’t heard of. So it’s an anti-anti-sematic.
I will do what I must.
This applies to Roy below, and I don’t know how many more. And the Language Battlefield video was quite thoughtful too.
One of the “triumphs” of the Fabian Society was to destroy the word “Liberal” by reversing it’s meaning as a tool for flushing 19th century Britain and the enlightenment down the collectivist toilet. They succeeded, even lowly me needs to qualify it at every use.
The other two most prominent destroyed words were “Capitalism” – which Rand could not rehabilitate; and “Anarchy” – which because of opposite meanings, Molyneux thinks can be rehabilitated. He does a yeoman’s job in Everyday Anarchy. Time will tell. It’s in book form, but I enjoyed the audio.
So we have one political faction deliberately destroying the language for a point or two of ephemeral polling advantage, and the other going along for the ride. It’s leading me to a cynical conclusion – if it’s about power, they’re lying. Over generalized I know, but it’s gotten so bad that I see all ideology as a cover up – camouflage – for evil men to get away with – worse, applauded for – doing horrific acts in the name of their serfs. Witness the Twentieth “Century of Death” – 260 million murdered (killed would be an euphemism here) by “their” own Men Pretending To Be A Government.
I just read a scientific journal that conducted a test on a few TBP members. Of course the members had to be have a certain mindset, that being they hated all blacks, all gays, and all jews. What they did was to remove the members brain, run it though a blender, and then pour it back into the members head. In all cases, without exception, there was no noticable difference in cognitive ability.
How does that relate to a brilliant article followed up with insightful comments by several commenters, all much more intelligent than yourself? Your comment is dog shit on a nice sidewalk.
In all fairness,?4?, I like Clarence Thomas, Elton John, and Jerry Seinfeld.
Reginald and Jerome…….speaking of collectivists??
Harmless collectivists maybe. What’s not to like about that?
mmm…Reginald is a very dangerous loudmouth BLTGQ activist while Jerome carries water for the entertainment collective…They are both an existential threat to my way of life as the y seek to impinge on my freedom with their radicalism. There are friendlies and enemies, they’re both the latter.
OK. I’ll stand corrected. It could be “harmless collectivist” is an oxymoron after all
Lame. Thumbs has projection displacement disorder.
I give you thumbs up. Because you were LookingForThumbsDown.

Radioactive future historians could use that as the table of contents for their forthcoming book named: “What Happened”.
I’m a simple uncomplicated man Uncola. I realize there are shades of grey and great intellects that will wrestle with them but just speaking for me I embrace the stark clear differences and keep my powder dry.
If Kavanaugh is a “conservative” and an “innocent judge,” I’m a monkey’s uncle.
More like a Bush-era hack knee deep in the 2000 recount, 9/11, and the Patriot Act.
Other than that… the Frogwave quote is just plain staggering in it’s truth and simplicity.
Stopped reading at (((Ayn Rand))), as any self respecting critical thinker would. What’s that? A critical thinking has an open mind?
It’s called time management, fuckstick.
Crap. Maggie decided that a good conversation was too much to pass up. He needed to take a big crap on the sidewalk of TBP. Thanks ever so much dude.
And right there is a perfect example of a nobody stumbling around in the dark while thinking they have answered the (((question))) by conflating Ayn Rand with the Bolsheviks.
Yes, the same Bolsheviks who seized her father’s pharmacy business in 1917, when Ayn was 12 years old, thus, forcing her family to move to Crimea where they lived in extreme poverty, unto the point of near starvation. Which, in turn, caused Rand to spend the rest of her life excoriating collectivism.
Bravo.
See what I mean, Hollywood Rob? A slippery slope, indeed.
No Doug. I am pretty dim and don’t see what you mean. I don’t think Ayn Rand had anything particularly useful to offer. Others do, but not me. I didn’t bring her up for exactly the reason that you mention. Others did, not me.
I think of your central premise is “words are being used to modify the conversation.” I agree completely. I personally have seen it in corporate merika. I know that it is happening. So still, slippery slopes aside, what is it that you wish me to consider?
The fact that Rand, in spite of her Jewish lineage, was the anti-Bolshevik; and that is why conflating ideology with genetics is not logical.
Just because one jew is changing the language does not mean that all jews are changing the language. Even if one jew is satan, that does not mean that all jews are satan. You seem to assume that I imply that all jews are inspired to do evil things but that is not what I am saying. My contention is that most of the people who came up with the concept of communism were jews and that many of the people who started communism in russia were jews. I never said that all jews were communists and I never said that all jews were satan. I believe that in this thread, you were the one who introduced that idea. You were the one who assumed that I was conflating ideology with genetics. That is not what I meant to say.
But that is exactly what you were saying, otherwise you would not use the designation “Jews”.
See? That statement is a perfect example of conflating ideology with genetics. Of course, one could argue Judiasm is ideology (as opposed to theology), but then (using your parallels) wouldn’t that make their communist government a theocracy? Unless of course their Jewishness had nothing to do with it?
Still the champ as if there was any doubt, you have zero competition.
Please stop with the patient logic, you are eviscerating the poor mensch!
What if communism is simply a natural state? In infancy, the family should and does apply “from each according to …” into toddlerhood. Perhaps some people’s parents were overly generous and controlling, even after the Terrible Twos, and later the child had to write a treatise to justify that “everybody did it”, not just his parents; and founded Communism, or marched it thru the institutions.
Any screed that sells “everybody does it – it’s not your fault” and “gimme money” is bound to be popular. Now we have “rent-a-riot”ers and Cultural Revolutionaries paid to market a new world corporate communist authoritarian empire by and for BFF’s – Billionaire Father Figures. Who would have thought.
Since this is about language, it’s humorous that in this “Age of Universal Deceit”, even punctuation marks can trigger (((some people))) to scream “Wascism!”. Getting tired of all the parentheses. How about ZZZ children of Zion ZZZ? Nah, doesn’t work. 🙂
Speaking of ridicule. During Macron’s pompous screed and slight of tongue rant on patriotism v. Nationalism, he was flanked by a boulevard that was literally littered with French flags, the podium was draped with a French flag, and his suit lapel had a French flag on it. If that’s not a traditional statement of nationalism I don’t know what is. This is the problem with neoliberalism in particular and globalism in general – they constantly contradict their words (language) with their actions.
Judging by cable news last night, it seems to have sparked a national debate here in America as well.
If only Trump would read this article he could use the bully pulpit (i.e. Twitter) to parse the differences between imperialism and nationalism (i.e. patriotism). If only…
Sorry, Trump is too busy overseeing the shipments of lethal arms he’s sending to the Obama-Nuland-Clinton-installed criminal clowns in Kiev. /snark
They just don’t like anybody else being for their own country. Do you know of any other county where their President is married to a child molestor?
“The French they are a funny race. They fight with their feet, and fuck with their face.”
What can we possibly add to that?
What do expect from A little Rothschild imp…I thought the make up job hiding his horns was excellent.
Great stuff, Right on target. I will share this far and wide.
Great article! I was expressing your conclusions to my wife just yesterday. How did I know what you were thinking? It’s only logical.
” …. and how they are now undermining the election process while claiming every vote counts.”
It’s known as Electile Dysfunction.
“In plain language: The time for talking is past.”
I’m sorry (really), BUT it is NOT “plain” enough.
Please state clearly and concisely EXACTLY what you are suggesting.
Stuck,
It just means that diplomacy and civility are over and the discussion is done. The war has gone hot and it will only get hotter, until one side wins.
There’s nothing else to say that will divert from that outcome.
Therefore, we must choose our destiny (embedded link) or it will choose for us;
1.) Barrabbas the Fighter
2.) Judas the Sellout
3.) Daniel in Babylon
(In my own opinion)
Of course, there may be others who wish to bug out of Dodge before the bullets start flying
That was stark Uncola. I felt like I was slapped in the face or had a bucket of cold water dumped on my head from behind as I have had worried conversations with myself over my family as I wrestle with one and three…but prep for one.
Thank you, Mark. That was another one for the remnant.
Would like to give a well thought out response to this piece, but I have very little time to comment today.
I would have liked to give some concrete examples of how libtards think and reason …. btw, they DO reason (just not like you and me, though) ….. and I feel I have a certain amount of expertise in this area, as I have dealt with a MEGALIBTARD seester for 30+ years.
Just as Uncola has done, I too, will reference a fine piece of literature; DC Comics and Superman.
Keep the pic below in your Mind’s Eye next time you deal with a Libtard. Pretty much everything they think, say, and do is the opposite of reality. Their world is not your world. Reconciliation, as many are discovering, is nigh impossible.
On the Left: Bizarro World!!
On the Right: Truth, Justice, and the American way!
Or you could just say no to negativity.
I’d prefer PREpare! BEWARE! BE AWARE! & CARE!
Migrating didn’t work for us, (after 12 yrs. we realized that we’d not assimilated any better, as our abilities weren’t applicable in our circumstances); BUT! Returning has enabled us to achieve & enjoy our achievements!
The “HIVE MIND” has no hold on us, as we rejected it back in the 60’s; & chose to “FOLLOW GOD” & our own convictions, by utilizing our abilities, to develop & reach our goals & desires.
What is developing in this Nation is simply foolishness added to ignorance, thus resulting it STUPIDITY: AND! To quote a famous Roman General: “Drunkenness can be cured; and ignorance can be educated; BUT! STUPIDITY is FOREVER!”
The wife & I prefer the challenges of LIFE, & the freedoms overcoming them offer, to the dull routine, & loss of independence, hope, & love, that instead we gain, by accepting those CHALLENGES life gives us!
To where did you go, and to where did you return? This is a serious question. For about the last 6 years, I have been trying to decide the following: emigrate to South America or stay here?
And that raises yet another question: Was this article proofread for grammatical errors, and if so, by whom?
Someone asked me the other day how many grammar Nazis it took to change a lightbulb.
I said, too.
But, seriously, good catch. The “is” will be changed to “are” on my site.
You titled your piece, quite appropriately;
Language: The Indispensable Fundamental Actuator of False Orthodoxy
I understand your choice and it fits well. But remember this;
Language: The Indispensable Fundamental Actuator of All Communication
Also applies. The most important thing to do is communicate and the only way to do that is through language.
Absolutely, HR. I was thinking how communication is the lifeblood of any relationship. If it stops, the connection withers on the vine; so to speak. And lies are like giving someone the wrong directions to a place they never wanted to go.
Ripples in the pond, Man. Ripples in the pond.
I am gratified to see the weight of “Imperialism” lifted off the back’s of nationalists and patriots only to be placed, once again, into the rightful backpacks of the globalists in the long march of Man.

I don’t know John Norris, I haven’t met him at all so I can’t tell you what kind of man he is or what kind of lawyer.
But we should know a little about Norris because Justin Trudeau and his Justice Minister, Jody Wilson-Raybould, have appointed John Norris to the Federal Court.
What I can tell you about John Norris is that he has defended a number of terrorists and accused terrorists. In fact he seems to seek that out. A look at his website shows he acted as Omar Khadr’s lawyer in one lawsuit against the Canadian government and acted as an intervener in two other cases effectively supporting Khadr’s position.
He acted for Suresh Sriskandarajah, a man that pled guilty to terrorism charges for helping the Tamil Tigers. Norris acted for Raed Jaser, one of the men convicted in the Via Rail plot to blow up passenger trains above the Niagara Gorge. Other notable clients include Mahmoud Jaballah, Adil Charkoui, members of the Toronto 18 and more.
None of this is illegal or immoral but it is telling in terms of where now Justice Norris’ sympathies lie. Defence lawyers that represent bank robbers and other criminals bring a certain sympathy to the court with them. Prosecutors bring a different sympathy to the bench.
We now have a judge that has shown a sympathy for folks accused of the most heinous crimes appointed to the court and I have to tell you, I don’t like it.
We the people of Canada need our southern neighbor to wake the fuck up cause Justin Trudeau is fucking crazy.

Thank you for this compelling examination on today’s disempowering agenda.
I see what is unfolding in madness, raging against the “soul” of people and nature.
Leonard Cohen said ” Love is the only engine of survival”.
I think he got it right.
I just want to awaken others and create tools to reconnect to our eternal life.
Thank you,
