I wish that inefficiency and theft like this was worst of government activities. It is an example of just ordinary criminality. The communists(not progressives) have much much worse evil planned for us, think Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot. Hitler was not even close to that evil. 2 million dollar outhouses is just petty criminals operating around the edges of the international communist conspiracy.
First of all, John Stossel, it cost more because they already owned the land. Duh. Besides that, I deal with City, County, and State all the time. When they decided to send our productive industries overseas, two of the ways they hid the fact that they were destroying employment were massive government hiring, and sending idiots to college on the taxpayer dime. That led to even more massive government hiring, because some of those idiots graduated, and expected jobs. So all levels of local government are bloated beyond belief. And they have nothing else to do but try to extract money from private industry or their residents. When 0bama did his stimulus, nothing got built because the .gov white collar types stepped in front and spend all the money. They planned, they zoned, they environmental studied, they held hearings, they litigated, and damn, that money went quick. Don’t believe for a second that Trump is upset about rising interest rates. Rising interest rates will fix just about all of this. It will be messy, and you’re going to hear a lot of squawking from those impacted, but it is the answer.
Its certainly part of the answer. So is bringing the troops home.
I don’t believe he is a genius, but if he gets us out of hot wars in the middle east he will be earning my vote in 2020.

I’ve made the point to local politicians repeatedly that everything not only runs over budget, but also runs over time.
If I did the same thing in the private sector my boss would have cut me loose a long time ago.
The worst part is watching the drone act as though he’s proud/pleased with the whole process and cost. These people are sick.
