New Year’s Notions Loosely Liberated and to Some Extent in Sequence

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

You can’t stop what’s comin’. It ain’t all waitin’ on you. That’s vanity.

“No Country for Old Men”, 2007, Miramax Films

It’s a new year and time for new beginnings. But what does it mean exactly? Of course, it’s about time.  I mean, that’s the answer.  It is, truly, about time.  Think about it.  Time has a beginning, middle, and an end.  You were born, a bunch of stuff happened, a lot of stuff is going on now, and, soon, more things will occur. Right up to the end. The very end, that is.

In the macro sense, we don’t need devices to tell time because these were recent inventions in the long march of man.  Prior to mechanical measurements, countdowns, and glowing orbs in New York City, our ancestors simply divided their days via light and dark, the sun, moon, and the seasons.  In fact, the world’s bestselling book of all time, the Bible, advises us to discern the “times” as “seasons” and says in its very first chapter:

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

– Genesis 8:22

It’s a nice thought. Even if the same book says we flourish like flowers and our days are like grass.

All of this came to mind when the topic of my retirement was broached recently.  In not so many words, someone asked if I planned to keep slacking off until I was old enough to draw social security.  I scoffed and then realized they were serious.  In response I told them, in the not-so-distant future, I fully expected to die a violent death at the whim of an Orwellian state.

Happy New Year.

But, if it’s a new beginning, what time is it, really? In my estimation, it’s the end of the beginning of the end for America.  Next, comes the middle of the end, until, finally, the end of the end.

It takes very little to govern good people. Very little. And bad people cant be governed at all.

― McCarthy, Cormac. (2005). “No Country for Old Men”

It’s become clear justice is dead in the United States. The respect for law is gone. If President Trump was ever going to drain the swamp, the Clintons, and even former president Obama, would have been dressed in orange by now.  It didn’t happen.  Instead, it is Trump who now stands accused:

There is nothing Trump or any member of his administration has done that is comparable to Hillary Clinton’s use of her own email server while U.S. secretary of state, or her destroying tens of thousands of emails after they were subpoenaed by Congress, or foreign governments’ and corporations’ paying vast sums of money to Bill Clinton and The Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. Nor is there anything Trump or anyone in his administration has done comparable to the Obama administration’s use of the IRS to suppress conservative nonprofits; its selling guns to Mexican drug cartels, at least one of which was later found at the scene where a Border Patrol officer was killed; or the lies it told about the cause of the murder of a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi. Yet any suggestion by Republicans that these activities be investigated is effectively shouted down by the Democrats and the media. And let’s not talk about the real collusion in 2016 – between the FBI, the State Department, the Clinton campaign and the Obama White House, using material sourced in part from the Russian government – to undermine the Republican candidate for president and his presidency.

– SOURCE

Even worse, it appears the investigations into government corruption by Inspector General Michael Horowitz and Utah U.S. attorney John Huber, were, in fact, the cover-up:

At this point, there is every reason to believe that the purpose of Huber’s investigation is to hide the truth, not to find it; to protect the criminals, not to charge them.   The key witnesses in each of the matters under investigation have not even been contacted.  It appears that no grand juries have been empaneled.  Tom Fitton, of Judicial Watch says, “Huber wasn’t tapped to investigate anything”, he was just “a distraction”.

Doom. It’s over. Lights out.  Can’t run. Can’t hide.  Nothing left for Americans besides debt, bankruptcy, illiteracy, porn, and suicide.  We’re a dead nation walking; a ghost of what once was. Is it any wonder why addiction is burgeoning in the United States?

We’ve become a country filled with T.S. Eliot’s hollow men; stuffed men.

Not long ago, in trying to acquire some gently pre-owned furniture for one of my kids, I ended up in front of a guy with a nice-looking bedroom set.  In response to my questions, he told me it once belonged to his son who had recently died of a heroin overdose at age twenty-six.

I think if you were Satan and you were settin around tryin to think up somethin that would just bring the human race to its knees what you would probably come up with is narcotics.

― McCarthy, Cormac. (2005). “No Country for Old Men”

Which reminded me of a business associate who was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. She moved and started a new life. But, before doing so, she called me a month after the headlines subsided and said something like:

“It’s worse down here than anyone up north can understand. Out of sight, out of mind.

Just because it’s not making news anymore, everyone thinks it’s OK. It’s not.

It won’t be the same.

Ever.

For many folks, addiction is like that too.  Powerful forces and devastation.  I wrote about some of it last January; including how I overcame my own hopelessness and paralysis.  But now it’s that time again:  A new year and wanting to stay hopeful but, for the most part, remaining helpless.

Two decades ago there was an ace reporter by the name of Gary Webb whose story was made into a 2014 film entitled “Kill the Messenger”. In the mid-nineteen-nineties, Webb exposed how the CIA allegedly aided and abetted deliveries of crack cocaine into Los Angeles to finance illegal undercover operations for the U.S. Government.  Immediately, the mainstream media, at the behest of the CIA, took action to discredit and slander Webb, until seven years (to the day) after being fired as a reporter, he committed suicide with not one, but two bullets to the head.

More recently, Bre Payton, the journalist who, on December 13, 2018, broke the story of Robert Mueller’s illegal deletion of text messages, mysteriously dies two weeks later, on Friday December 28, 2018.

It appears whistleblowers don’t fare too well in modern America. Not anymore.

So I ask you: Who has the power? Who has the momentum?

… the Democratic Party and the media will do to American political life what it has done to the arts; the universities; the high schools; the Boy Scouts; race relations; religion; the happiness of so many women (misled by feminism regarding marriage and career); the moral fabric of American life (morality reduced to feelings); late-night television; mainstream Judaism, Catholicism and Protestantism; pro football; and the sexual innocence of the young: It will poison it.

– SOURCE

Everything has been poisoned, torn asunder, and laid to waste. Even dairy farming:

We survived the 1980s, when debt loads became impossible for many farmers and merely incredibly onerous for the lucky ones. Interest rates went up , export markets plummeted after a wheat embargo against the Soviet Union, oil prices soared, inflation skyrocketed and land prices began to collapse. More than 250,000 farms died that decade, and more than 900 farmers committed suicide in the upper Midwest alone.

So what will happen when the real fecal waste matter collides with the proverbial whirling blades?  What will happen when people can’t sustain themselves; when this nation becomes, truly, no country for old men?

There is no harsher verdict in most men’s lives than someone else’s judgment that they are no longer worth their keep…. It is then, when the answer at the hiring gate is ‘You’re too old,’ that a man turns away … finding nothing to look backwards to with pride [or] forward to with hope.

– SOURCE

In the forthcoming and inevitable financial collapse, what will people do when their jobs disappear, swept away by Category 5 economic hurricanes?  It is a fact the proverbial winds and storm surges are coming and with most Americans now camping on the beach.  If economic hardships are enough to drive even well-weathered, mentally-tough, and self-reliant farmers to end their own lives, do the math and consider what will happen within the average populations of insatiably dependent consumers.

If history is any indicator, the trends don’t look positive.  Exactly one week after America’s 2018 Thanksgiving holiday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced the nation’s suicide rate had increased a massive 33 percent since 1999.  That’s the ultimate surrender and likely not even the worst kind. Others will take flight into third-world countries, communist nations, or domestic FEMA camps.  And there are many others who plan to stand their ground and fight.

In any scenario, just as throughout all of history, the only things remaining certain will be death and taxes.  According to a December, 2018 report published by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO):

The Internal Revenue Service had in its weapons inventory 4,487 guns and 5,062,006 rounds of ammunition as of late 2017…

The 20 federal law enforcement agencies in GAO’s review reported spending at least $38.8 million on firearms, $325.9 million on ammunition, and $1.14 billion on tactical equipment—at least $1.5 billion in total—from fiscal years 2010 through 2017…

Great. The U.S. government is not only now criminally corrupt, but it’s loaded for bear too.

It means we’re on the brink.

Which reminds me of a 1997 film, starring Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin, called “The Edge”.  In the story, the two men were trying to survive in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash.  Therein, Hopkin’s character told Baldwin’s character the following:

Most people lost in the wild die of shame. They didn’t do the one thing that could save their lives–thinking.

Which, in turn, brought to my recollection a piece I posted last July, called “Pessimism, Fatalism, Realism, Optimism, Hope”, where the author David Foster Wallace was quoted thusly:

….learning how to think really means learning how to exercise some control over how and what you think.

It means being conscious and aware enough to choose what you pay attention to and to choose how you construct meaning from experience…

Think of the old cliché quote about the mind being an excellent servant but a terrible master…

It is not the least bit coincidental that adults who commit suicide with firearms almost always shoot themselves in the head.

Indeed.  In the approaching days, our minds will be excellent servants or terrible masters.  Our ideas will either improve our prospects, and those around us, or bad thoughts will make us sick; possibly even unto an early death.

But how does one control their own thoughts? Because even the biggest fans of the aforementioned Best Selling Book in the World, are advised, therein, to “take captive every thought” so they might “endure to the end and be saved”.

In the meantime, so many folks keep falling through the cracks and sinking beneath the waves.

Following the death of my college roommate from alcoholism, I became a mentor for my county where I’ve since come into contact with many alcoholics and addicts.  In fact, I’ve even set up meetings (both open and closed) where they can talk to one another. While engaging in such, I’ve heard multiple coined phrases and acronyms which are quite interesting; and, perhaps unsurprisingly, containing actual survival applications.  For example, it’s been said that EGO is an acronym for Edging God Out and, for some, “G.O.D.” simply represents Good Orderly Direction.

Personally, I initially found the mutual exclusiveness of those two acronyms concerning. Mainly because I wanted to believe my ego paid for all of my cool stuff.  Was that prideful? Materialistic? Maybe so, but reconciling the two conceptions of ego and good orderly direction (next right thing) is something I now attempt on a daily basis.  It’s a good exercise for me because if I’m conflated to my stuff, then what will I do if, or when, I lose it all one day?  Or what if I only lost half? Would I then become half of a person, torn in two? Would I regret the dedication I gave to acquiring those things, or just experience shame and regret for losing them?

Out here in the random universe, I live not far from an area where old railroad tracks were converted into bike and walking trails.  I read about painted rocks appearing along the trails with messages written on them and, this fall, I found one on an old wooden trestle bridge.  Painted onto the medium-sized stone, it said something like:

Your past can’t stop you from being in the present. But regret can.”

Then, just a few weeks ago, during an online conversation with a fellow blogger, I told them about the rock and shared this photo from that day, from near where the rock was found:

Around the same time, another friend texted me a similar, more expansive, quote that was attributed to an author by the name of Eckhart Tolle.  After some online searching, I found more quotes and even a video of Tolle on YouTube.  Not only were his initials E.T., but he actually sort of looked and talked like a cross between E.T. the Extraterrestrial and Yoda as he addressed “ego” and the mad voices in our heads.

When I watched the first 22 minutes (of two hours), I was hooked to the point where I wanted to hear his solution –  which was, (I believe) placing awareness over erroneous, fearful thoughts centered around who we THINK we are; as opposed to appreciating how things REALLY are.  For those who may be interested, here is the video where E.T. discusses utilizing spiritual awareness in life to overcome bad thoughts:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1B-_qhG_rM&feature=youtu.be

Being somewhat cynical of course, my red flags are always raised against new-age mysticism, world-consciousness, and those who quote Buddha and Jesus in the same breath.  But I definitely agreed with how Tolle parsed the differences between past, present, and future, as well as his identification of “wrong perspectives” as the source of our mental anguish at any given time.

“you fix what you can fix and you let the rest go. If there ain’t nothin to be done about it it aint even a problem. It’s just a aggravation.”

― McCarthy, Cormac. (2005). “No Country for Old Men”

Obviously, I don’t have all the answers. Not even close.  But I do know this is happening.

There’s a story I think of often.  It’s about a guy blasted into orbit for a year-long research mission. No matter what transpired, he couldn’t return to earth for one year.  He was fine with that prospect until a few months after take-off when he started hearing loud clanging noises coming from somewhere outside of his ship.  He tried everything to find and fix the problem to no avail. He could not stop whatever was making the noise.  Then, after a few more months, he realized, with great sadness, he would not complete his mission. He was losing his mind.

Except he did finally make it back home to plant his feet firmly once again on solid ground, and he did it while remaining level-headed and with his sanity intact.

When he told his story years later, people would ask him:  “How did you stay sane and complete your mission with those loud-clanging noises ringing in your head day and night”?

He replied: “I did the only thing I could do to survive. I came to appreciate that noise as the most beautiful music I ever heard”.

To be sure, the next year and beyond will have a lot of aggravations. Things we can’t control.  If only we could focus, instead, on what we can do in any given moment while letting go of any expected outcomes. Certainly, to do otherwise is vanity.  Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.  Embrace unexpected pleasant surprises and aggravations in equal measure; as separate notes of the same song.

Happy New Year.

I’m 43 years old with 3 kids. I live in fear of the future. I am aware of what is going on in the world, but I don’t know what to do for them or myself. I enjoy your blog, but I am so alone because so few people here are awake. I am Canadian and things here are just as bad, but a majority of people are asleep. I often don’t know how to carry on.

a couple of humble reco’s, canuckster…

1-regarding today’s post, by Uncola, pay attention to any contribution by him; he’s one of the better writers. He also embeds highlighted links in most posts…some offer proofs, and some link back to past postings. Hit them, to expand your breadth of awareness. Goldmines they are, at times. Especially ones from the past, with all their glorious comment threads that follow.
Ditto, for any posting by Hardscrabble Farmer, Administrator, Stucky, and a few more that consistently post with skills honed by experience. (apologies, to those not mentioned)

2-explore the side bar of this blog, to see additional gems of information of various topics.
If not read yet, start with Admin’s “What TBP Means to Me”, under the ABOUT banner, off right side of this page, near the top.

Another gem: “10 Rules for Newbies” by Stucky. Key into the Search bar. It’s classic.

3-keep an open mind, as most of the regulars here have learned new things during their adherence to reco’s 1 and 2 mentioned above. Myself, I had beliefs about many topics that I held onto strongly, until much wiser souls revealed truths, by helping remove the scales which blinded my eyes, false narratives ringing in my ears, and old garbage cluttering my base of knowledge.

4-thicken your skin, if need be. This isn’t the place for those easily offended. Feel free to comment at will, but be prepared to be called out, if your logic and reasoning is questionable.
But it is unquestionably one of the last places you can scan, with no censorship, plenty of free exchange of opinion, fact, and suggestion.
Digital exchange of opinions sometimes erupts into argumentative shitfests, but that’s part of what makes it so interesting and entertaining.

5-Last, but certainly most important, the website blog relies upon modest or generous donations to the site Administrator to keep it going, since advertising revenue has been severely restricted, due to the controversial views you’ll see here on a regular basis.
I strongly suggest you consider sending a donation; whatever you can afford, when you have that realization moment, that you’ve found a new home for truth, wisdom, and those with eerily similar concerns that you share. Every little bit helps.

thanks for reading

Frick, I live in north Idaho…with few exceptions these people are dead asleep. The people in Vegas (the real people that work hard and live in the suburbs) are far, far more awake. We moved here with great expectations. After six years, we’re done with the willfully ignorant.

Heh, I live in south Idaho where we are experiencing a massive invasion from california: explosion of house prices, explosion of rents, wages are stagnent, workers are forced to move much further out for a 45-60 minute commute on a good day, teachers bailing because of low pay, , low budgets,…

If one is still stubborn enough to try to buy, be prepared for up to 20-30% bid over asking price or all cash offers.

Of course, as the realtors (and the tax assessors)say gleefully, if you are an owner, look at the equity wealth.

Canuck, we are all in the same boat. The only way to keep your head in the storm we are in is to call upon the name of the Lord. He will save you and your children. Call upon Jesus Christ. Ask him to save you and your kids. Ask Him to show you what to do. He will. I’ll be praying for you and your family for safety and peace in what is coming. Get a KJV Bible and start reading it. It will give you direction.

Before you start recommending the king James bible research its connection to fremasonry and the occult.
Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against His church. That church is Holy and Catholic (universal). Also want to recommend YouTube videos by Father Chad Ripperger. Excorist, Confessor.

catholic ideology is religion, Jesus is not religion, true believers know that all these false variants on the real deal have been here since Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is the only one that lived a life free of sin, He was the Sinless lamb of God that shed His blood to redeem all those that would believe that He was God’s only begotten son, he said “no one gets to the Father except by Me”..his mother Mary is in same camp as the rest of us, she is not equal to the Lord Jesus Christ and we do not pray to her as a go between. The 1611 KJV Bible – 66 books-is the inerrant word of God, it’s important to settle that in your heart and mind as a believer, otherwise all the “smart people” can come along and chip away at it as you just did and try to create doubt . Satan did that with Eve in the Garden (Did God say…?)with all due respect,I pray you come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, one on one, no religion, God bless

“Jesus is not religion, true believers know that all these false variants on the real deal have been here since Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Father.”

You are so very right. It’s about a true love relationship with the Father and His precious Son (John 17:3), and His love returned to us…. it’s not about religion. But knowing and worshiping Him in Spirit and Truth. Without Him we are lost.

Like I told my father in law who was dying and knew his time was short, it isn’t God and His Triune greatness that is the problem, it is man who always gets his need to grab power and use the scriptures to their own devices that “muddy” up the Truth… pray, prep and protect ’cause as this article so apply lays out we are in the storm, a storm, I should say, that will continue to build and destroy those who refuse to put their life, their entire life in His hands to do His will.

Big difference between organized religion and the power and spirituality of living truth…the kingdom is not in word only, but in power. Big box/building churches mostly have many (varying) words but no real power.

Take joy if your neighbor is a believer and let it go at that. I am RC yet I know the Antiochan Catholic Church is older than the Roman. The Indian Christians were preached to by Doubting Thomas who was martyred there and their church is older. Jesus died for ALL of us and quibbling is insulting to Him. When I pray at gatherings with people from different churches do you think Jesus is pleased or displeased? Love your neighbor. Lift him up and witness together when you can whichever version of the Bible he prefers.
We are all trying to get to the same place and should help each other as much as possible. The spawn of Satan are after all of us and if we stand apart or on ceremony we will be easy pickings.

Thanks, Ari. I feel a tremendous amount of guilt for bringing 3 kids into this terrible world in which they are forced to live. I am learning, as I was alseep for many years. The ironic thing is that I am a public school teacher and I can’t stand what I do anymore. It’s been one big lie, but living in a rural area where jobs are scrace, I continue to plug away.

Here are two books that I feel will help you deal with what is coming. The first is the most important, but both together will guide you on the spiritual and the practical realities we all are facing.

Isaiah 41:10 10So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Thank you for letting me know that there is a school teacher suffering. I had become to believe that teacher breed was the most sold out ignorant of all people in western society. I know a few teachers and they see nothing wrong. I hear about the anti human curriculums, the feeding of sexuality at such young ages, lack of hands on difficult problems to challange kids. I can not imagine what it will become. But it is obvious it is to weaken free will so they can be easily dealt with. Too become dependant and owned by the state, and in turn, world.
Just do your best. The fact that your aware is already a great hope.

Hi bug. I became a teacher basically because of my love for math. I have little in common with most teachers. There are a few of us who have figured out the real purpose of public education, but we are afraid to speak out because we will easily be replaced by a compliant SJW.

John Taylor Gatto’s book, Weapons of Mass Instruction, had a major influence on me. The fact that I am sending my kids to public school is slowly killing me. Public school is all about consensus building, among a plethora of other nonsense.

Will public education survive, or is computerized education the future.

No guilt for bringing three precious souls into the world. Our Savior is strong! He will guide and protect them just as He is doing so for you. I have three myself. I have been a police officer for the past 17 years. I know how it feels to know the profession you are in causes as many problems in people’s lives as it does fix them. Canuck –
One thing I learned many years ago from a Pastor about guilt – “Guilt is a tool satan uses to keep us from the joy that our Savior wants us to have in Him.”

The prophetic word is needed for these last days events. The Holy Scriptures are mostly prophetic and written in parables so true believers with ears to hear will understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 13:10-17, 51, 52) The worldly will not understand. The Old Testament conceals what is revealed in the New Testament. The New Testament reveals what is concealed in the Old Testament.

May I suggest the writings of Chris Anderson of First Love Ministry, Anglemar Fellowship. He speaks Biblical truth and I have tested his spirit and his writings against the “Gold Standard” the Holy Bible NASB Inductive Study Bible, and the Hebrew. (I print his articles out and also receive his current writings via email)
http://www.firstloveministry.org/index.html

He has written many excellent articles over the years that are strictly Biblical truth. If you are led to go deeper in to His Word, you will understand it with new eyes – the patterns, comparisons and much more. God bless you and keep you and yours in His righteous right hand.

Canuck, make it a special specific prayer for the Lord to bring more spiritual people into your everyday, practical life. He has already heard your heart’s cry. Just ask Him to answer that cry and begin to work out circumstances in your daily life that will begin to connect you to brothers and sisters in the body of Jesus Christ who are deeper in the Lord.

He will do it.

I agree wholeheartedly with your post. Jesus is the rock, He is who I will tether my anchor to.
My only disagreement (and its not really disagreeing) is that the KJV can be hard to understand, especially for someone new to the bible. The NIV would be a good choice.

Eckhart Tolle, referenced above, was responsible for moving me from intellectual Christianity to spiritual – “The Power of Now.” “There is nothing that is needed in the present moment.”

In the last 15 minutes of the Eckhart Tolle video posted in this piece he said ‘God is the source from which all life emanates”. At the 1 hr/ 50 min/46 sec point he says the central archetype of western civilization and spirituality is ‘A man nailed to a cross’ who he calls both “God and human” a few seconds later.

Test the spirits. Watch the video. It appears Tolle ties Buddism into Christianity and not the other way around.

Live each moment. Matthew 6, Lords Prayer, daily bread, ‘see how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.’ and ‘do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own’.

It must have been the way Paul was able to eventually say in Philippians 4:11: ‘for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances’

That’s what Eckart Tolle and this article are saying.

Guess you have wife with those three children, be sure to get a couple of handguns for each. Personally prefer revolvers, Smith and Wesson .357 magnums for the adults, maybe Colt Cobra .38 Specials for the children. Great, safe, and easy to fire while reloading the Remington 870, which you surely have for each family member. Five shotguns each holding five 20 gauge buckshot shells, “Feathers flew like a turkey! Well, they shouldn’t have run; they shouldn’t have run.”

Best to start ’em off with .22LR revolvers and rifles, .410 light birdshot for the shotguns. Training proper technique is hard enough without having to constantly compensate for flinching due to recoil and noise.

I share your aloneness in being awake among so many sleeping people. But look at it this way. You are in a group of the first to wake up in sleeping humanity. You just need to find others in this group. They are out there; you just have to find them.

There is a recent published book, “The Patterning Instinct” by Jeremy Lent; easy reading, that explains a cultural history of humanity’s search for meaning. It explains the development of human consciousness over thousands of years from five different cultural paths. The evolution of our consciousness to our present time is an eternal pattern that develops our consciousness in stages over long periods of time.

There is a conscious circle of beings living among us that know our purpose in life. But the majority among us are still living in darkness and because they are asleep they are not ready for the truth.

Realize that the people presently in the power positions of government are also asleep. These particular people are living in the lowest level of humanity just above the animal state of consciousness. It is below the state of Christian values. Communism thrives in this state. When sleeping people lived by Christian values our western civilization made progress but since these values have faded out of the minds of the sleeping people around us our society has been deteriorating.

But on a positive note more people are waking up. Waking up means we see the poverty of consciousness around us. This also means we can protect ourselves from the forces of darkness that want to enslave us.

Waking up means we can’t go back into the darkness. Darkness is death. As more people wake up our strength will increase.

Christianity has played it’s role in the development of man’s consciousness. Now that it is fading away it means that we are ready to receive a higher truth.

Now that you are awake have faith in your consciousness because it is freedom and putting hope in it will build strength to resist the darkness.

When you notice people around you that are sleeping notice how they put faith in their feelings and their body when they are young and inexperienced in life. Faith in feelings is weakness and faith of body is stupidity. Feelings change and the body wears down. Only a faith in consciousness will carry you through hard times.

A new religion is coming to supersede Christianity. Christianity came into the world to develop consciousness with values into the sleeping population. Waking people want to know more and it will be given us.

There is more revelation coming. Already science is telling us that the universe is dramatic. The Bible didn’t tell people back then about how dramatic it is because people back then were not ready for it.

In our age the waken will be told.

Communism is a dead religion. So is administrative law. When people wake up; as more are now doing, these scourges will be rejected by the masses.

So keep the faith and be grateful you have waken up.

TBird – 75% of the US is Christian. Obviously, Christ is not the way with respect to running a successful nation, or the US would not be in such deep doodoo. And hence why I say that all the prayers and religious faith will have zero influence in the outcome – God does not intervene. Something about free will and all that. At best he judges after the fact.

If it is to be done, in this world, man will have to do it based on his or her own decisions and actions – free will, as it were.

And hence why we are fucked – the vast majority of men/women are dumb as a sack of rocks.

75-85% of Americans can *claim* they are Christian, but they are mostly apostate or in-name-only (ditto for Muslims, thankfully). As evidence of this, only 1 out of 6 (or so) of those even faithfully attend church, and of those, only 1/3 really live like they follow Christ. This world belongs to Satan and his minions until the events of Revelation take place. And while Satan has the run of the planet, and we have free-will, God most certainly intervenes on some things (the mere fact that we havent vaporized & irradiated the surface of the earth w/H-bombs is proof of that) or he will utilize events (good or bad) to help us grow, if we are listening. We just have to use our brains & listen for the Holy Spirit.

What does the bible say about it? 1) speak it with your mouth. So claiming it is step 1. Step 2) believe it in your heart. There are no other requirements.

Who the fuck are you to claim to know what a person feels in their heart? You are judging people, and hence what the fuck is in your little black heart?

You fucking religious nuts that are holier than thou give Christianity a bad name.

Tbird – most Christians do not behave as most might consider they should. It is a disappointment to me, and to many here, I suspect.

However, when Christians start saying other Christians are not Christians, that pisses me off. Who are they to judge? And then they start on about they have to repent. Bullshit. Here is what the Bible says:

Romans 10:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Nothing there about repent. Nothing at all. It is just that repent serves the purpose of the various churches – demanding repentence gives them control over what is sinful, what is not, what is good and bad behavior.

The number of hypocrites I have encountered are legion.

@LLPOH

An eye opening fact I learned in survival school is generally people take the path of least resistance when traveling from point A to point B. You should know that in your position as an employer.

It is the same with Christianity. Jesus Christ said I am the Way. What is a Way? Is it not a path from point A to Point B? It is work that takes effort.

When I see people that claim to be Christian acting out there life in the world in negative material ways, I can’t help thinking that they are missing the mark in following the Way as laid out in the Gospel of Jesus Christ This includes myself. Following the Way takes work. Making an observation that people who Call oneself Christian and are not practicing the Way as laid out in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and therefore fall short of being a real Christian; is a rational judgment.

In regard to repentance I defined it as a change of mind about how one lives their life in this material world. Jesus Christ rejected the ways of the world. He said his kingdom is not of this world. He instructed the rich man to give up his riches and follow him.

When I see self proclaimed Christians living a material life in pursuit of riches beyond their needs and doing it in a dog eat dog fashion and participating in the lies of the world one does not have to wonder why this country is so screwed up and open to be overrun by communists and Globalists.

The doctrine of Christian values have been around since before Christ. It is not new in the world.

I do not judge people for missing the mark. I am just pointing it out. We have all sinned and fallen short of the mark. Including myself. And I work on myself constantly to follow the Way.

In my opinion believing in Jesus Christ and failing to follow the Way laid out in his gospel; only to blame Satan for our short fall, does not bring salvation.

When the Bible was written most of the people were illiterate and could not understand many of the abstract ideas put down in it. Only a small circle of learned people could read it. So at that time all ideas presented to the people had to be in simple form. So to spread the gospel; the good news, people were told to believe in Jesus Christ and they would be saved. It worked and western civilization was born with it’s Christian values.

2000 years after Jesus Christ walked the earth much has happened in human experience including the development of abstract thinking.

Today science & technology has become our dominate activity in out thought patterns while Christian values have taken a back seat. Administrative law based on facts alone has replaced Christian values so we are now living in an increasing atheist society where the State is replacing God as the highest authority in our lives. This has created a vacuum in spiritual perceptions in the minds of people which now is being filled by the atheist doctrine of communism.

So while you say there is nothing about repentance (change of mind) in the Bible I have to disagree with you. The entire new testament is about repentance. It is about moving out of our material consciousness and moving into a spiritual one for our salvation from this material world which is to be burned in the end.

Of the many opinions and scripture quoted in this thread, I’m in sync with your comments above about free will., Llpoh.
“God does not intervene”…there’s a lot of truth in that statement.
One need only look around, at all the pain, misery, and evil still among us, as you also state.

IMO, that is the gift we’ve almost universally been given, and with it, most people make bad choices, i.e., they exert WILL upon things they want to happen, which more often than not bring unintended consequences.

Upon themselves, or upon other people.

Somewhere back upstream, someone has probably made a willful decision that has evil elements to it. Sadly, other people downstream sometimes become victims, not of their own doing.

Bad things sometimes happen to good people.
There’s still a lot of unanswered questions as to why?
Especially when it involves innocent children.
God intervening, to disallow that?
Some would say it never happens.

Others believe it happens frequently, but is often hidden or shrouded.
We’ll never know what evil some escape or avoid, by having acted on a hunch, or sub-consciously been led to choose a safer path.
Holy Spirit influenced? Angel tapping us on the shoulder?
Maybe, for believers.

One example: The guy who had new shoes on, the morning of 9/11.
He soon got blisters on his feet, walking to the WTC.
Detoured, to get some medical supplies to treat the condition, which made him late to work that morning. End result: He lived to tell the tale.

So, instead of bitching about some irritation or delay in our rat race world, acceptance of a situation, with grace, will usually bring a peace of mind.

“…things that I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Willfully rejecting, and not accepting, increases irritation and creates a bitterness deep inside that can have bad consequences.
And some people get locked into that mindset habitually, and are miserable folks I’d rather not be around.

according to you a new thing is coming to “replace Christianity”- (but it won’t: Jesus said He would build His church and the gates of Hell would not prevail against it) the Bible agrees with you- Every prophecy in it is fulfilled with 100% accuracy – that “new thing” will be the man of perdition, fully possessed by Satan accompanied by the false prophet (maybe pope Francis?)and you are a prime candidate for everything he’s going to be offering/ I pray for your soul, God does not want anyone to perish, gives everyone chance to be redeemed. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Your Not Alone, the UN is an evil and useless thing, full of blasphemy. “When the God of the Bible is eliminated from that which cannot be blasphemed the consequence is most usually it is the State which cannot be blasphemed or whatever the State by law or by precedent says may not be blasphemed. That the State sets the parameter for what can and cannot be blasphemed one only needs to look at the Statist youth centers where the children are taught whom the god and gods are in the social order who must not be blasphemed. For example, the whole work going on against “bullying of the LGBQT community,” is largely just a program to set up the LGBQT community and their behavior as sacred and so not to be blasphemed. Blasphemy laws are about thought control. If one cannot say something one generally does not think that something. There is a tight connection between what one is allowed to say and what someone will end up thinking. If one cannot verbally denigrate God one will not likely give much thought to denigrating God. This is the way political correctness is working today. When we are not allowed to say something because the saying of it is considered blasphemy then the thinking of those thoughts will eventually dry up. For example, people very seldom use the word “sodomite” anymore to describe same-gender relation. The reason is that is the word “sodomite” has successfully been turned into a blasphemous word. To use that word is to raise a hand against that behavior which has become considered sacred”. R. J. Rushdoony and all the other UN Godly things they tell us we must do

Your story is told in one of the best classics you can buy in DVD format on amazon.com – “Pilgrim’s Progress” starting Daniel Cruze. This is your story, your same concern…excellent movie. The more you watch it the more you begin to see God’s majesty through the trials in life and up ahead for your family.
Study your Bible – Have a family Bible Study time.
Start by praying for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. (Ephesians 1:17-19) Rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15) Ask the Holy Spirit for understanding of a verse(s) you do not understand.

Worldly fear is sin. Biblical fear is not quaking in our boots kind of fear, but reverence and awe of God. Learn to fear – reverence (Hebrews 12:28,29) your Creator and His precious Son, then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God. Ask questions – What, why, who, how, when. Who is speaking? Who is being spoken to?

Proverbs 1:7; 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your children.” Why are His people destroyed? What have they rejected? What is God’s Law? What is the consequence for forgetting His Law?
Ask , seek and knock (Matthew 7:7,8)

It is God who is in control not man. It is God who said specifically that He makes the times and the days, it is He who’s in charge.

So instead of looking down with a grieving heart look up, give thanks and stop allowing the god if this world to beat you down.

Jesus Christ is God, Lord, King and Reedeamer. It is He who’s in control. The god of this world has already been defeated at the cross of Calvary.

Christ expects every single one of us to march on, don’t give up, trust Him, give Him all the glory and take dominion while we’re still here on this Earth.

Not so sure that “take dominion while we are still on this earth” is part of the plan. Believers are to be salt and light and messengers of God’s grace during this age between Christ’s first and second appearances. As such, they are not called to defeat the worldly power structure except surreptitiously, in the hearts of individuals who will then live by a set of values that are in direct contradiction to Luciferian ones. Jesus promised difficult times for his followers, and we are now beginning to see overt discrimination take hold in this nation. It will get much worse.

Uncola, your article is right on. I find no hope in any institution of man. All are thoroughly corrupted. I struggle with turning away from them all as the only way to come to grips with the current reality. I will probably never vote again. Everything is just smoke and mirrors and I am done participating.

Right there with you, Gayle. America, along with the rest of the nations of the world, are dying empires. Time to disconnect from this earthly stuff and look forward our Father’s kingdom and walk out His Truth in faith and perseverance.

I too no longer vote as it is all a shell game, two sides of the same coin and not a dimes worth of difference between them. One side is fighting against the other side. Then four years later its the other sides turn to do the fighting.

As Paul said “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. …That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.”

William Charles says “It is God who is in control not man. It is God who said specifically that He makes the times and the days, it is He who’s in charge.” Well, he certainly is not controlling what happens on earth (I will not argue whether he could or not). He has for thousands of years permitted tremendous brutality and mayhem, and has shown no propensity to side with the righteous over the evil. If anything, quite the contrary has occurred. Hopefully, those slaughtered innocents live on in their heaven.

“Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition” are words of wisdom to live by. Believe in God, but damn sure be ready and willing to fight. Because God will not be there with a sword of fire in this life.

It was very good… have you seen the latest at the survival blog? I hadn’t read Rawles for a while…

Anyway, I pulled this out because I thought it worth a perusal:

New Year’s Day at Survival Blog by J. Wesley Rawles

Novelist Ayn Rand aptly used the term looters to describe the socialistic elements of our society. There will always be those who attempt to expropriate the productivity of others. This is most frightening when it is “government” that does so, under color of law. By cleverly taking from some and dispensing most of it to others, government leaders can build a voter base and thereby make themselves permanent fixtures.

The only things that distinguish a mob of urban looters from a cabal of thieving politicians are: A.) The color of law, and B.) The rapidity of the looting process. But the end result is the same. It is just that “official” looters can claim that they have the law on their side. They do their looting through intermediaries, often taxing authorities and traffic ticket writers. And they can resort to the police for muscle and to the courts for feigned legitimacy. The mass media outlets have become their willing accomplices.

Bre Payton, the journalist who broke the story of Robert Mueller’s team deleting text messages, died very suddenly of a mysterious illness.

died suddenly in San Diego. She was 26

Filled in for Liz Wheeler as Guest Host on “Tipping Point” One America News on Dec 26, died Dec 28 of the Flu, encephalitis, meningitis?

Just a week or two prior to this Liz Wheeler from One America News, (OAN that is the new TV trusted news alternative that covered up Las Vegas) Wheeler was talking about Alex Jones on TV and said she didn’t agree with a single thing he says, and made a face in disgust. (She was showing who she was loyal to, as Alex says plenty. Maybe Liz agrees with royal pedophilia)

God, grant me the serenity to

The Courage to change the things I can. (our mind thoughts about ___ ) ?
And the Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Taking, as He did, this world as it is, and not as I would have it.

Trusting, that He will make all things right,
If I surrender to His will, (accept, again) so that
I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And Supremely happy with Him in the next.

A dear friend of mine shared details of family tragedy involving some really sad circumstances for her four grandchildren less than ten. During the telling, she mentioned her belief that God will provide the answer and help untangle the knots. She said she will begin a Novena for the resolution, which prompted me to find out what a Novena prayer is and edit one enough to pass muster with my 12 hillbilly country hick baptist friends. That praying directly to Mary doesn’t sit well with some folks.

However, I do think the larger role granted Mary by Catholic Bible Doctrine helps enhance the role of women as nurturer, caregiver and mother, which are extremely important functions which men just do not fulfill very well.

I don’t know if my modified Undoer of Knots Novena will fly, but I’ll say it for 6 more days and ask God to get rid of those knots one way or another.

As for me and my house? We are making progress and thankful for that.

Thanks again for lifting my spirits then and now. Nice comment lgr.

As a lover of dark humor, that made me laugh. I was trying to picture the look on said persons face when you replied with that retort.

I don’t think the old men, or any of us for that matter, should go quietly into the night. Just sayin…

“You were born, a bunch of stuff happened, a lot of stuff is going on now, and, soon, more things will occur.”

Today is my birthday. When I was in my twenties and thirties, I used to forget how old I was and make myself older. Then I became more accurate about my age. When I woke up this morning, honestly I was thinking I was a year older than I am. I told my husband I was going to stop trying to remember how old I am. I doesn’t really matter anyway.

“To be sure, the next year and beyond will have a lot of aggravations. Things we can’t control. If only we could focus, instead, on what we can do in any given moment while letting go of any expected outcomes. Certainly, to do otherwise is vanity. Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. Embrace unexpected pleasant surprises and aggravations in equal measure; as separate notes of the same song.”

Exactly, Uncola. Especially that last sentence. But try to focus more on the pleasant and remember it as a gift from God.

Doug. I love this one. I don’t see it as looking down at your feet, I see it as a slap in the face to wake everyone up. For thousands of years societies have risen and fallen and everyday people have stood in awe as great powers contested for land and livestock. (We are the livestock.) After each collapse the livestock has had to get on with it and turn their lives into something useful. Food for tomorrow. A warm hearth and family and friends for protection from the vagaries of the world beyond the threshold. Nothing has changed. Humans who think that they have some god given right to tell everyone else what to do will always seek positions of power so that they may indulge their penchant for “leadership.” The carnage that they leave in their wake will always impact on the stupid the most as these livestock are the least able to roll with the punches. There will always be farmers who are not smart enough to do anything but what they have always done. They will blow their brains out. It is Darwin’s way of making the gene pool just that little bit cleaner. Just so, as must be done.

So, now the challenge. It’s not a new one, but I can’t help but repeat it. Most of us are no smarter than Doug’s farmers and some of us may be sad that things have gone into the shitter, but there has to be some smart people here too. How about you smart people helping us slower ones with some ideas on how to attack the communists who have infested our little corner of the world and made the rest of the world a shithole so they can sit in beautiful buildings and eat steak and drink the best wines. How do we strike back?

Dude, it’s all the same to me. Bible quotes, Harry Potter quotes, no country for old men quotes. Just interesting viewpoints placed into entertainment. Perhaps you could consider that your bible quotes come from the Jewish texts. The bible is an extension of the Torah. The Koran is an extension of the Torah and the Bible. All three of these Semitic religions are based on the same concept of god. How can you discount any one of them without calling into question the foundational belief structure that is the one true god?

@Hollywood Bob

The only thing truthful we can say about God is we know but we don’t understand. Religion is built around this knowing but not understanding. Religion can only show us the way; we have to sincerely practice the way to get results.

Many so called Christians say that all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior to be saved. That is hogwash. If that were true any tyrant can do that and be saved; and many try.

What one has to do is practice the way and work to perfect oneself and then maybe one will be saved. The work opens one’s eyes from sleep.

To follow the way of Jesus Christ one must first capture their attention; which for most is wandering all over the place or is identified with their iphone or some other endeavor.

Once attention is captured and sensed by “the being” possessing it then the waking up process can begin.

So in a way you are right about everything just an interesting viewpoint among the sleeping. However, when one wakes up false viewpoints fade away like the illusions they are and reality begins to set in.

“The only thing truthful we can say about God is we know but we don’t understand. Religion is built around this knowing but not understanding.” It’s called the grace of God and it’s NOT about works, so that we all have a chance for redemption thru Jesus shed blood-He paid our sin debt- He said He is the ONLY way to Heaven, trusting Him, not working towards something;and He said He is God and we believe Him or we don’t. Jesus turned to the thief hanging next to him and assured him he would be with Jesus that day, i.e, that’s how wonderful And merciful Jesus is, as long as there is breath it’s possible to be saved.
If you would hear his voice today, I pray you would say yes, I believe!

So that means you can run around doing evil deeds but since you accept Jesus as your personal savior you are saved.

To be saved you have to repent. Do you know what repentance means? It means a change of mind. One has to work on oneself to do that. So there is work involved to be saved.

Nope, you do not have to repent. You are making that up. The Bible clearly says otherwise. You do not like it? Tough. The reason is that all sin, all the time. And thus no one would make it if repentance were part of the equation. That is one of the great things about Christianity.

Tbird – the Bible says:

Romans 10:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

So, you seem to be calling the Bible hogwash. If you are a Christian, you cannot make it up as you go along. You would seem to be among those many that want to feel superior to those Christians that sin more than you do. The Bible clearly states otherwise. Speak it, believe it is all that is required to be saved.

The oracles of God were given by the Jews, that’s the connection Christians have with Jews, both religions serve God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/ God still has a plan for the Jews, to Show them their messiah has come, His name is Jesus.
Muslims serve the moon god=Satan, their ideology is death cult-there is no connection there to Jews or Christians- Muslims believe Jesus will return and announce that he is a Muslim and kill and the Jews and Christians—and their prophet is a pedophile.

Well Said Rob, I think to strike back if that’s the term you like, or regain ground we’ve lost, we have to look at the long game. The commies have been at this for well over a century. Keep in mind also that the commies aren’t the disease, they are a symptom of the disease. There are other equally dangerous ideologies that have also been used to concentrate power.

One huge key to their success has been the capture of young impressionable minds through the public education system, which is an indoctrination in a malignant ideology. We have got to deny them the access to the minds of our children. Home schooling is a wonderful option for some. As long as we are going to be taxed to send our kids to indoctrination camps we should fight hard for the option of school choice and competition through vouchers.

Much to consider here. Time is of the essence, but a moment can be an eternity; so to stop and reflect and even ruminate is a luxury one can probably afford. There is a key to our predicament – it seems today, in the Technotronic cage we’ve constructed, everything has to be done with speeds that humans were not made to function with. It is, in fact, killing us. Some faster than others. The “5G ” technology emplacement speaks to that nicely.

The pandemic of self-destruction is indeed symptomatic of a Civilization that is profoundly, if not terminally, pathological. It originates in an environment from which God has been removed and replaced with either nothing, hence Existential despair, or the Devil. And from Evil’s atelier comes products glaringly trashed, polluted, and poisoned like the water in the oceans and bodies of the suicided.

Disease vectors come from a variety of sources — manifesting a Culture based on debasement, both of the individual and the collective. One can taste it in a bowl of “children’s cereal”; hear it on the airwaves – “Highway To Hell” comes to mind as paradigmatic of the product; see it on the 60-inch pixel-laden mind-melter.

The answers are not to be found in the “learned” of the universities; from our “elders” suffering from Alzheimer’s; in the vacuous pronouncements of hierophants; and certainly not from the consultancies of “professionals”. And the politicians — well one can plainly see where they have brought us: to the brink. The knowledge we need is most likely buried in dust-covered books in libraries no one uses anymore, except the homeless to get out of the winter cold. And it’s my guess that those good books will be soon relegated to the pyre of curated Goodthink as mandated by some government and A.G.I. Alexandria, Assurbanipal, Constantinople and Mayan Codices of Yucatan come to mind.

Please also consider that the maps to get us out of this barren wilderness have been lost, shredded, or just transferred to GPS points that show no history or provide landmarks to give a relative position. Lost in time-space we are.

And as for Justice; the only justice we are going to receive is Divine Justice and that is on a schedule all its own. There is a rather full docket to get through I suppose.

As such, I plan to take each day as it comes; spread a little sunshine, kindness and knowledge if I can; help someone who may need it; and, as much as humanly possible, not engage with a system that is, one way or another, going to crash and burn.

Still, Uncola, there remains very much here to consider and ruminate on for this New Year. Thankfully, I have all the time in the world.

I read this earlier, then went out to get eggs and feed bunnies and goats. I thought of something profound to comment. But, one thing I’ve learned over this past year is to comment rarely but with sincere attempt to add not detract.

So, the profundity will have to wait.

I think you’ve done a fabulous job weaving together a variety of topics with quotes, examples and citations to support your points. It is a professional piece of work, in my opinion.

Now, I haven’t worked as a professional in any capacity for more than five years and then some, but my opinion counted for something back then. I didn’t say it was worth much, just how it was counted. Now, my opinion is more focused on whether that pig goat Simon impregnated his own goat daughter before I sent him to live with giant Boer goat nannies. I shall have to consult with the veterinarian about what to do if the little goat is pregnant. The aggravations can sometimes become pleasant surprises, but NOT in equal measure.

Happy New Year!

Yeah, that Fourth Turning piece was not mine. It was written by a guy named Jim Quinn based somewhere out in Pennsylvania, or thereabouts. He helps out quite a bit here, so we’ll probably keep him around.

But do tell your co-worker to be careful with such incendiary writings. We wouldn’t want them to get fired.

This first verse (below) in the book of Mathew I found in the article, the rest I’ve added. Which is it? How am I to be saved? The Bible can be very confusing but it does not have to be. One needs to learn HOW to read it; what is written for our learning versus what is written for our direct instruction. Most of the Bible is written for and about the nation Israel. Most Christian churches confuse themselves with Israel; spiritualizing words that need to be taken literally and vise versa, to suit their particular denominational bent. I’ve linked three articles (and a video) at the end of this post. Two written by Justin Johnson; one of the most accurate teachers I have found and one I wrote myself. The Bible is easy to understand once one realizes how it is constructed; when one rightly divides prophetic truth from mystery truth.

Which is it then… how am I saved today?

Mat 24:13… “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Mark 16:16… “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Luke 7:50… “And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”

John 10:9… “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

Acts 2:21… “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Acts 15:1… “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.”

Romans 10:9… “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13… “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

1 Cor 15:1-4… “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

Ephesians 2:8-9… “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

1 Peter 4:18… “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

Until I learned how to read the Bible, how it was meant to be read, I’d not have been able to answer my own questions either. I was not sure of my own salvation. There are clear contradictions running through the above verses. I said contradictions, not mistakes.

Doug writes… “Doom. It’s over. Lights out. Can’t run. Can’t hide. Nothing left for Americans besides debt, bankruptcy, illiteracy, porn, and suicide. “

The apostle which Christ sent to us, Paul (not the 12 sent to the 12 tribes of Israel) understands the sentiment. There is however something left for all of us to do with whatever time we have left here.

Ephesians 5:15-16… “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

If there were nothing left for us to do there would be no need to redeem the remaining time.

Redeem: To purchase back; to ransom; to liberate or rescue from captivity or bondage, or from any obligation or liability to suffer or to be forfeited, by paying an equivalent; as, to redeem prisoners or captured goods; to redeem a pledge. To purchase what has been sold; to regain possession of a thing alienated, by repaying the value of it to the possessor. (Webster’s 1828 dictionary)

“Bankruptcy, illiteracy, porn, suicide…” without time to redeem for a greater purpose, become viable options. I’d add drunkenness just for some extra kicks. Paul instructs us to walk circumspectly in this evil world. Such would include knowing what the will of God for us actually is. Many think such a thing is unknowable; they would be wrong. It’s written in 6’th grade English in a King James Bible.

1 Tim 2:3-4… “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

We need to get saved and come unto the knowledge of truth. We need to help others come to the same before time runs out. The clock is surely ticking for each and every one of us individually and also the world as a whole. God is longsuffering and truly wants all men to be saved but He is also just. This fallen world will not last forever.

2 Tim 24-26… “And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

The devil is very subtle, very smart, and uses partial truths to construct some massive religious lies. Knowing how to read the Bible is the key that breaks the chains of satan’s religious deceptions.

@ GCP,

I suspect you know this, but I just wanted to clarify: Some of the phrasing incorporated into my articles are meant as a challenge; a gauntlet thrown down, if you will. Other lines are meant as ironic, or sardonic, or included merely as statements of facts (and backed by embedded link attribution). In most instances, however, the words are meant to draw a response, or new perspectives meant to shed light upon something I’m working out in my own mind.

For example, I was thinking (hoping) followers of Q-anon would weigh-in on this piece; and what they may perceive as my fatalism, or nihilism, as it were.

I don’t follow the Chans, but I’m always interested to see what others are thinking out there. Yourself included. As always, I’m gratified for your willingness to step up to the plate and offer your insights. So thank you for that once again.

I am also proud to be part of a forum where free speech allows the debate and discussion. As I’ve stated before, I believe all debates are rooted in theology, one way or another.

Just know that, in viewing your commentary, links, and videos, I have been fascinated regarding your fellowship’s parsing of the teachings of Jesus, Peter, James, John, and Paul – with the former group (Jesus/Peter/James/John) speaking to the tribes of Israel and the latter (Paul) as addressing the gentiles/church; including the separations of law vs. grace, prophecy vs. mystery, et al.

As a young man, I took issue with what I considered to be a contradiction between these two verses (in your preferred KJV):

For he that is not against us is on our part.

– Mark 9:40

He that is not with me is against me;

– Matthew 12:30

It wasn’t until I was older when I discerned there may not, necessarily, be a conflict there (in light of the entire context).

But, when viewed by means of your fellowship’s… shall we say… “separation of audiences”, it does allow for new perspectives.

Including, regarding this particular verse:

I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

– Matthew 10:16

Although, even if by your interpretation, Christianity’s Founder was speaking to Israel, I’m of the opinion there are lessons in that verse for modern gentiles as well.

Although some may disagree, I believe what makes TBP special is its community. We may be the long-haired freaks of the internet, but we have pastors, homesteaders, preppers, Canadians, Christians, atheists, agnostics, big game hunters, farmers, engineers, raccoon killers, dog and cat lovers, climate deniers, and Californians too.

For me, it’s like this:

I too appreciate that you read what I write and sure seem to be picking up what I’m putting down… 🙂

“Although, even if by your interpretation, Christianity’s Founder was speaking to Israel, I’m of the opinion there are lessons in that verse for modern gentiles as well.”

A charge commonly leveled against dispensational Bible belief is that people believe I’m saying that some parts of the Bible are not for us in any way while others are. Nothing could be farther from the truth. All the Bible, every verse, is there for our learning. The epistles of Paul are the “marching orders” for believers today because of how God is dealing with the world today. For the past 2,000 years He has offered grace and peace freely. It was not that way in time past (OT) and will not be this way in the ages to come (NT). We are a “no testament” people, as alien and/or “unChristian” as I know that sounds to most Christians.

2 Tim 3:16… “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

As such (and you are absolutely correct in your above opinion) each and every verse in the Bible has meaning and ought to be examined in three ways: 1) historically, as the Bible is mankind’s most accurate and important history book, 2) spiritually, because there is spiritual wisdom to be found throughout, and 3) dispensationally, because not every letter that moves through the post office is addressed to us… most are not.

While Jesus was speaking directly to Israel in the red letters, therefore, the red letters are not direct instructions to us, they do have incredible value as to the mind of God when He was dealing with the nation Israel and how that compares and contrasts to the ways in which He deals with us through Paul. We learn a great deal from them. Mostly, how fortunate we are not to be under covenant agreements with God! Paul is far better equipped to explain OT teachings than any other apostle, and does in his 13 epistles. God gave the “why” of everything to him.

“Although some may disagree, I believe what makes TBP special is its community.”

I agree wholeheartedly! This place is a lot of things. Over and above all it is honest and that’s what I’ve come to appreciate most. Come what may, folks offer up their honest and mostly very well thought out opinions. That’s rare indeed. I would even say the forum is civilized in a way that most others are not. Rowdy but civilized. “We may be the long-haired freaks of the internet…” I love it!

“(in your preferred KJV)”

I’ll leave you with this… I don’t “prefer” the KJV. That would involve my opinion and my opinion matters not a bit. The KJB is the Bible while the other V’s are well disguised imposters. They intentionally obscure the critical division between prophesy and mystery one must understand if one is to understand the Bible a a whole. I get that this is very hard for many to accept as well. satan has done an excellent job confusing people. Take the time when you find the time as it is very much worth the time.

How to Know the Bible is God’s Word

Grace and peace to you and yours Doug… and thank you for the outstanding think pieces!

Be careful what you ask for –
“For example, I was thinking (hoping) followers of Q-anon would weigh-in on this piece; and what they may perceive as my fatalism, or nihilism, as it were.”
What am I supposed to do about your fatalism / nihilism? Is it even necessary for me to have an opinion?
I barely follow any of the Q-verse right now; supposedly things are happening behind the scenes. Early on, it was suggested that “75%” of what was going to happen would not show up on the evening news AS it happened. That may or may not be true – I have no way to tell, not being omniscient. I do see some wild and strange things happening now –
(1) The government is shut down, with little progress towards re-opening.
(2) Lunatic leftists have been sworn into office – and are doing little besides making noise. Nor, as long as the Senate holds up, will they be able to.
(3) The market is swinging up and down on rumors, not much change there.
(4) “wars and rumors of wars” sweep the media from one end to another, from the Yellow Vests (in what way is that NOT actually a war?), to the Red Chinese army types, to the endless Middle East conflicts, to Africa; war is in the air, whether we notice or not.
(5) The EOs about Gitmo trials, seizing the properties of human traffickers, and military tribunals have gone into effect. Since there is NOT ONE WORD about any of these in the legacy media, doesn’t that suggest that they are hiding activities as well as they can? I even saw a suggestion that the Huber guy working in Utah has done nothing, been a distraction all along; I wonder if anyone in the media even knows what SEALED means, what a judicial proceeding that doesn’t leak looks like, or how you learn about activities that are actually concealed from public scrutiny?
(6) Some noise was written about how “X, Y & Z” perps like Hillary, Podesta(s) and Obama haven’t been tweeting much lately, the idea being they are already behind bars in Gitmo. I have no idea how you would know that either.
My main takeaway from all this is that IF something is going on, whoever is doing it is being quiet about it, unlike the showboating Socialists / Communists in the House or Romney the Eternal Idiot Globalist. Maybe nothing is happening, maybe we are hours away from massive arrests and trials / executions. I doubt anyone is going to tell the truth no matter what happens, anywhere.
And if things are simmering underneath the surface or not, it doesn’t really matter – I still have to train, prep and plan just as before. If the grid goes down, I can hold out quite a while with the supplies and equipment I have. If not, I still have them, and can use them elsewhen. Q tells people “trust the plan”. Well, maybe so, maybe not – but I have work to do, plans to make and things to accomplish, Q or no Q.
And then the Antifa Communists, the Democratic (NOT!) Socialists or Globalist grabbers come for me, some will not leave on their own power. Nothing really changes – evil vs. good, all over, all the time. Pick your side, your place and your weapons, and live or die with them.
Best of luck to all TBP – I didn’t start out to write a novel, but thanks for putting up with mine. I’ll buy any of you a beer if I make it to the other side of this chaos, and bring a bag of chips to share.

God created Satan? Really? I am inclined to believe man created Satan to blame someone else for his sins.

And I heard the voice of the Devil: “I an Evil”, he said, “at least so far as Evil can exist in the best of worlds. In order to see me, one must be able to see unfairly, incorrectly and narrowly. I close the triangle, the other two sides of which are Death and time. In order to quit the triangle it is necessary to see that it does not exist. But how to do this is not for me to tell. For I am the Evil which men say is the cause of all evil and which they invented as an excuse for all the evil that they do. They call me the Prince of falsehood, and truly I am the prince of lies, because I am the most monstrous production of human lies”.

Yes. God created satan. he was God’s most stunningly beautiful creature.

Ezekiel 28:12-19 KJV… “Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God ; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so : thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”

He is nothing but a tool in Gods toolbox. He will use him to punish those who had no love of truth; loving self instead.

Then why was Adam & Eve expelled from the Garden of Eden?

Perfection has to be worked for. The fruits of the Tree of Life is blocked from man until he repents, (has a change of mind) and works to correct his sinful ways.

Man in the flesh naturally takes the path of least resistance. He has to be trained out of it. Telling someone they are saved by believing in Jesus Christ only; without working on oneself to pull out of one’s sinful ways is simply a lie.

Look at our earthly experience: A tradesman has to go through an apprenticeship to learn his trade. Then goes through several years practicing the trade before becoming a master.

The Bible has been tampered with over the years and some of the material copied over the years was changed. Some meanings have been changed by the replacement of words that carried different meanings. Before the printing press the texts had to be copied onto new parchment in the monasteries by the monks. Also the translation from Greek to English contained several mistakes. Man being less than perfect could have made changes in the meaning of the texts like what is being done now in the new versions of the Bible that are being produced today.

Based on common sense from life experience one does not progress in life by just believing. One has to work to give substance to that belief.

Apologize for taking so long to reply…

“Then why was Adam & Eve expelled from the Garden of Eden?”

For their own good. Had God not expelled them, they very likely would have (with satan’s temptation) eaten from the tree of life. That would have presented an enormous problem. Once they sinned and ate from the poison tree they now occupied bodies that were destined to die. Eating from the tree of life would have rendered them “immortal in death” as the fallen angels are. Unredeemable. Salvation is not available for fallen angels, nor would it have been available to us had we stayed in the garden. We had to go and God sent us away as a measure of tough love. We ALL die physically; ALL of us will be resurrected, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting death. Had God not expelled man and then set very powerful creatures to defend the tree of life from all comers, we’d ALL be forever dead.

Gen 3:22-24.. “And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”

“Perfection has to be worked for.”

Perfection was freely delivered. Adam gave it away by choosing self over God. Salvation, in this dispensation of grace is once again freely offered to any and all who want it. There are other people in other time periods (dispensations) who are required to work and wait for their salvation. This is the reason it is so critical for a man to learn HOW to read the Bible. We have to understand what God is doing at what time periods in history that we may respond appropriately.

“Telling someone they are saved by believing in Jesus Christ only; without working on oneself to pull out of one’s sinful ways is simply a lie.”

In past and future dispensations you would be correct, but not in this one. In this dispensation a man can only be saved by grace alone through faith alone in the shed blood of Christ alone. Adding or subtracting from that most precious gift is an insult to the One who offers it.

“The Bible has been tampered with over the years and some of the material copied over the years was changed.”

And how do you KNOW that? Because the majority say it? Because scholars say it? The majority are most often wrong about everything. There is only one thing which can dispel this belief and that my friend requires work. I can tell you 1,000 times you are wrong but that’s not going to change your mind. The Bible must be approached honestly with the desire to learn what it says to whom it says it before any “real” conclusions can be drawn. The VAST majority are not willing to put in the time to find out for themselves.

Got 7 hours? This will get you started.

How to Know the Bible is God’s Word

Till then, you are standing on a platform constructed out of other peoples beliefs. If you’re good with that, fine. I was not.

The fact that both of us frequent this website and comment often on it tells me we quite likely have far more in common that otherwise. That’s cool, I appreciate that. The thing I see most clearly which we do not have in common is what authority each is under. You are under the authority of your SELF. As Adam was. As I was for the majority of my own life. I have learned that there is an authority outside of myself. That authority wrote a Book; it’s a powerful book used for much good AND evil in the world.

Even though the apostle Christ sent to me didn’t pen these verses they are as true as true can be and we’d be well advised to take them to heart. They are what I would call a trans-dispensational truth… a truth which crosses or rises above all dispensations.

Hebrews 4:12-13… “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”

That book is alive and it will tear you apart from the inside out and put you back together again in Christ’s image if you let it. There’s your work. Got another 7 hours? Is the potential to know ultimate truth worth it?

Problems With Authority

God will one day return the tree of life to its rightful place in the reconstituted garden on earth where man might once again freely eat. Me, I don’t need the tree… I have the blood of Christ covering me and the earth is not my home. My business is elsewhere.

Col 3:1-3… “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

Eph 1:3… “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

Your articles always make me think. I share your outlook about what’s ahead. The solution, although it’s actually more a coping strategy than a solution, is to untether as much as possible from mass society and to renew and strengthen your own abilities and skills, and your ties with close friends, family with whom you’re still on good terms (maybe even reconcile with those you aren’t), and if you can find them, like-minded intellectual fellow travelers. Those who have placed their “faith” in people and institutions outside of themselves, especially in politicians and governments, are on the verge of finding out how misplaced that faith has been.

You’re a friend and intellectual fellow traveler. I look forward to your efforts during the coming year. Keep up the good work. This article goes up tonight.

Excellent post Unc,

“The next year and beyond will have a lot of aggravations. Things we can’t control. If only we could focus, instead, on what we can do in any given moment while letting go of any expected outcomes. Certainly, to do otherwise is vanity.”

This is something I’ve been struggling with a lot lately. Elsewhere in the comments someone quoted the serenity prayer, God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference. The question I have is, How do you know that you can’t change something without having tried? And tried again. And again. Perhaps the change we are able to affect is imperceptible to us, but with the synergy of other like minds we do catalyze real change. Perhaps the change we affect in our initial efforts are negligible, but with experience and persistence we do eventually make a significant difference.

I’ve been trying for several years, as tactfully as I can (I’m sure you are well aware that tact is something else I struggle with), to gently nudge my girlfriend into awareness of what is going on in the world and the problems that loom ahead which we will be facing. I send her links to articles and thought pieces that I find interesting with the hope that she’ll be curious enough to explore some of it. The response I get with every effort is, “There’s nothing I can do about any of this so I’m not going to worry about it.” I find that to be a loser’s attitude and a cop out. It’s denial of personal responsibility. You’ve lost the fight because you refuse to accept the realization that you’ve been attacked and are under assault. This shit is not somebody else’s problem.

How do you know that you can’t change something without having tried?

I struggle with that too, GB, and I think the answer may be in what you posted from the end of my piece.

We can try and sometimes we may be pleasantly surprised. Other times, not so much. Wisdom may be in understanding that the outcomes are beyond our control. That may be the awareness, honesty, and humility (wisdom)? I’m still not sure, but I think your comment helped nudge me a little closer. Thanks for that.

Every chapter of historical in Scripture is an issue of mankind through the centuries. Death, wars, repentance and redemption. Some will have ears to hear and eyes to see, most will not.

In pondering over the years on this prayer I’ve come to the conclusion that the only thing I / we can change is ourselves. I cannot change anyone else. It is my belief that there are many who choose to stay blind, and others who choose to wake up and “smell the coffee “and be aware and awake. There are 2 sides in every situation – the Spiritual (God centered, righteous) and the carnal (satan, evil, worldly centered).

I warn others over and over, then I stop. They can never say they weren’t warned. It’s their choice and Yahweh will give them their choice in the end.

When Yahweh (God) was going to flood the earth due to the great sinfulness He saw in the world at that time, and as it is now, it picked faithful Noah. It took Noah and his sons many, many years to build that boat. People would have come along, snickered, laughed at him, called him a fool and worse….but he faithfully kept on building that boat.

At just the right time when Yahweh flooded the whole earth only faithful God-loving Noah and his family were saved. Only 8 people. To start the next generations of humankind. All the rest were destroyed because of unbelief. Today is the same as in the days of Noah’s.

I think people who refuse to “see” just don’t want to think outside the box but stay in their comfort zone – their little safe box. It’s like “don’t confuse me with facts!” You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink..is the old saying. Sadly one day they WILL have to wake up due to events and circumstances happening all around them, and by then it will sadly be too late.

RE: Ron the White Guy

Now, Ron is a fine example of effort versus outcomes. I tried. I really did. Yet, his contempt prior to investigation caused him to stop reading my piece, because he seemed disappointed in my inclusion of a quote from what he has judged “the most stupid book in the history of humankind“.

Perhaps Ron feared my piece was tainted by voodoo, or ignorance. Or, maybe he thought I was trying to convert him. Or, it could be he was offended by (what he perceived as) my overt religiosity IN SPITE OF THE FACT others higher up on this thread (who read it all), lamented my lack of it.

I could ask Ron to give it another go. That would be trying again. Even so, I’d still have NO control whether or not he came back to read this reply to his comment, OR if he did come back, whether on not he would decide to start over and read the piece in its entirety. But even if he did come back, start over, and read it all – I would STILL have no control as to his final opinion. He could change his mind, admit he made a mistake – or he could still retain the same, or even worse, view on my above effort.

My thinking tells me Ron is an ignorant douchebag, while my awareness tells me the outcome of Ron’s contempt prior to investigation has nothing to do with me.

I’m pretty sure it’s like that; a more efficient way to live

Guinness Book of World Records: Bible the World’s Best-Selling Book of All Time:

Although it is impossible to obtain exact figures, there is little doubt that the Bible is the world’s best-selling and most widely distributed book. A survey by the Bible Society concluded that around 2.5 billion copies were printed between 1815 and 1975, but more recent estimates put the number at more than 5 billion.

Bartered, then?

At some point, I will likely do a piece on Martin Luther and the Reformation tied to our current times. So many parallels: industrial versus tech, printing press versus internet, and all with a Fourth Turning twist.

One of the reasons why Martin Luther wasn’t fried at the stake as a heretic by the Catholic hierarchy was because of the printing press. The cat was out of the bag and the papacy lost control of the plebes.

It’s also why the current dark powers will need to override the internet if they are to succeed in their sinister plans of global hegemony. Should they prevail, methinks Voldemort will no longer be fiction.

Stucky you certainly are funny. Some here in the Tent Revival meeting seem to be stuck in the past. They seem to think revelation stopped after the Bible. They don’t realize that the way is a process for purification. They seem to think that by accepting Jesus Christ as their savior and not following the way they are going to be saved. Then they go on sinning. Talk is cheap. They don’t realize that going along the way is like making bread. There are two raw materials flour and water and two active agents yeast and fire in the making of bread. In man mind and body are the raw materials and the active agents are faith, love, hope in God. The way says to love your fellow man; including your enemy. This means ridding negative thought and hateful feelings from your consciousness. This requires the use of attention to watch your reactions to the blows life throws your way and not respond negatively to them. Also to use one’s attention to guard for the negative thoughts coming into one’s mind and the hateful or depressed feelings that invade the body to deny them.

As I said talk is cheap. But walking the way takes work on oneself. The way is a process whereby we work to become acceptable in the eye of God. Is not that what Jesus the Christ wants for us as our Lord and Savior?

Amen. The flip side of free grace to all is physical nonintervention. A dispensation without covenant agreements. No punishments, no rewards. No law. There’s a reason for everything. God has stepped aside after presenting His Son to all men as payment for humanities sin.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV… “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

His intervention in the world today is via the church which is His body (saved people) and the offer of eternal salvation freely given to those who want it. Amazing grace!

1 Corinthians 1:18-21 KJV… “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

Peace…

grace country pastor

The new creature is the unprophesied “mystery” church containing all saved people since God revealed salvation by grace alone through faith in the shed blood of Christ alone to Paul alone. There is neither Jew nor Gentile recognized within it.

Galatians 3:28 KJV… “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 3:11 KJV… “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.”

In time past and in the ages to come there was and will again be Jew and Gentile. Great question.

Otto – the words “cover-up” in that sentence are link-embedded with this article:

Are the Investigations the Cover-Up?

Inspector General Horowitz’s June report had the goal of soft-peddling criminal behavior. The report said that some unfortunate things were done, but there was no reason to think that bias played a key role in important decisions. It did not find fault with things like granting immunity to the man who lied to the FBI and destroyed Hillary’s illegal server…

…What we are witnessing here is a carefully planned and orchestrated cover-up of a series of very serious crimes. The deep swamp is pretending to investigate the deep swamp.

Now show me the money. Because we’re out of time.

Here ya go, Otto

Trump Is A Pied Piper For The New World Order Agenda

The most effective method for the establishment to sabotage a rebellion is to place one of their own puppets into a leadership position in that rebellion. This exploits the movement’s subconscious appetite for top down leadership. It neutralizes activists by tricking them into waiting for orders from on high instead of acting on their own individually. It makes a movement lazy and impotent…

After two years of witnessing Trump in action, it is clear to me that he is an active participant in the new world order agenda, and not just an unwitting patsy for the economic crisis.

Trump started out his presidential campaign with two very important issues. First, he argued for the need to “drain the swamp” in Washington D.C.; which included a sharp criticism of Hillary Clinton’s ties to banking elites and globalists. Second, he criticized the fraudulent state of the U.S. economy, pointing out that the stock market was in a massive bubble created by the Federal Reserve using near zero interest rates.

Trump’s first action upon entering the White House was to invite multiple “swamp creatures” into his cabinet, going against his core campaign promise. This was not all that surprising considering his past.

Trump was saved in the 1990s by Rothchild banking agent Wilber Ross, who bailed him out of his debts tied up in his failing Taj Mahal casino. Wilber Ross is now Trump’s commerce secretary. I ask, who is Trump going to be loyal to? The American people, who can offer him nothing of consequence, or the Rothschilds, who saved his public image and his billion-dollar empire?

Trump is also currently “advised” by the likes of Steven Mnuchin formerly of Goldman Sachs, Larry Kudlow formerly of the New York Fed, and John Bolton of the CFR, among others.

Trump has since flip-flopped on his economic position. Instead of warning about the huge financial bubble the Fed had created, he adopted a Twitter campaign TAKING CREDIT for the bubble for the past two years.

Some people will argue that Trump has placed blame on the Fed and exposed their operations, but this is theater based on selective observations. Trump continues to set himself up as the fulcrum or source of the current crash. Just this week his administration called the market decline a “little glitch” which would be solved once a trade deal with China was solidified. In other words, Trump is saying the trade war is the cause of the crash, not the Fed. Trump then at the same time blames the Fed.

…While Trump throws a bone to conservatives at times, including promises of a border wall, or a pull-out in Syria, there is no evidence to support the fantasy that Trump is some kind of ingenious tactician battling the the forces of evil using his wits while inside the system. But, there is considerable evidence as I have linked above supporting my position that Trump is controlled opposition working with the globalists to initiate a collapse that will be blamed on conservative ideals and limited government liberty activists. We shall see in due course. It is unfortunate though how many otherwise very intelligent people within the liberty movement have bought into Trump as a hero on a white horse.

The activists and alternative media are the real heroes. They are the people that pushed liberty philosophy into the mainstream. Trump merely rode the wave that they created. Even if he was a legitimate conservative and constitutionalist (which he is not), the movement doesn’t need his leadership. It never did. The globalists know this and hope to chain us to Trump as he sinks into historical oblivion, destroying us all in the process.

The discussion took a turn that I never expected it to take. But then I didn’t focus that much on the scripture quotes. Otto is hanging in there with the glass all the way full. I hope he is prepared for the worst, just in case.

Someone brought up the Serenity Prayer. Always a good one to go to. Part of my mind will go there while the other part is thinking about Solzhenitsyn’s Soliloquy, you know, “And how we burned in the camps, later thinking…

I am with you. America is dead. I have said the same thing, the fact that the Clintons, Obama, Comey and all the other henchmen are not in orange means only one thing. America is finished. It truly is the enemy within that has sold us out to the NWO. People who blow the whistle end up dead by suicide with a couple bullets in their head, etc.
The enemy has successfully kept both Dad and Mom busy with work because of the declining value of the dollar, our kids are raised by television and the public school systems that is more focused on indoctrination than education. Our boys are given medicine because they act like boys, etc.
You mentioned in your article the Bible several times, we know where this is headed, the Bible tells us so. One day America will be part of the Antichrists One world Government or America will be a heaping pile of radiated ash. It will either be one or the other and I believe it will be the latter. America will be destroyed, no doubt about it.
My hope rests in the promises given to us in the Bible. The promise of the Savior, salvation that is found in him, either you believe it or you don’t, I believe.

May the Lord bless you and keep writing!

Joel 2:11 Yahweh raises His voice in the presence of His army. Indeed, His camp is very large, for mighty are those who obey His command. For the day of Yahweh is great and very dreadful. Who can endure it? “ Very few will endure.

We have become an UN-resourceful , UN-grateful people who no longer think with their brains but with their fingers. We let a handheld idol do our thinking for us and we’ve become dull of hearing.

These are Biblical times we now live in and I too ponder seriously at what is coming ever closer at hand. We’ve never lived in such a time as this. It will be as never before and never will be again.

It does not take much to see these events happening today and to escalate even so much more. America has much blood on her hands through the generations and every drop we will have to atone for.

May Yahweh have mercy on our souls.

Fact is, part of what he was saying I agree with, and maybe you should take a bit of what he said to heart, and ignore the insult part, unless he makes it a steady stream. Just bustin balls.

If I took it too seriously, I’d start wondering what Dennis wants and why he thinks he can petition me for anything, ya know?

He called me a “lame ass pussy”.

I’d give my left nut for him to meet me in person because, then, he might learn something.

He called me a retired douchebag, with too much time on my hands,

He has no idea the plays I got runnin’ every day

“so he starts a hobbyblog.”

He, next, sought to place judgement on what I do in my spare time. What the hell does he care, unless he’s trying to feel better about himself?

Then, he says I’m an overeducated rich fuck.

I’m not fuck, OK? What the hell is a fuck anyway? Like, as a noun?

He, furthermore, asked: “Am I the only motherfucker here who feels that?”

It seems he believes he’s more honest and intelligent than the rest of commenters on this thread. But is he? It’s like he’s trying to stage a coup or something.

Moreover, he asked: “How the fuck do you step forward and change things with that kind of attitude?”

Did he mean a realistic attitude? Or what?

And, finally, the summation: “Take that shit and shove it up your ass , professor.

Brilliant. Pure eloquence.

This is just the little dance Dennis and I do at the end of some of my threads. It’s amusing, but not much else. That’s why I don’t take it too seriously.

No deconstruction of the uncalled-for vicious textual assault on you was necessary. Your work, sir, stands on its own merit.

And of course, Dennis Roe’s words also speak for themselves, as you point out. They also reflect his state of mind, politics, philosophical position, emotional status, and ability to articulate those aspects.

If Dennis, or any other reader, doesn’t like exercises in thinking, or the position of the expositor, or the possibility of learning something new, or fine prose, then he should perhaps not get triggered and simply not read Uncola’s essays and move directly onto the “Friday Fail”. Or a Stucky tirade. Maybe a Paul Craig Roberts polemic? Many other things are always available to read and comment on at The Burning Platform.

So remember all you TBPers: “De gustibus non est disputandem” (Attributed to some really smart guy in a toga.)

I have always thought: “I think there for I am.”

Should have been: “I think there for I write who I am…and what I believe at this moment in time.”

Uncola, I have written what I think/am my entire life starting as a 13 year old boy, but never for a living…as I like to eat. But, like you I have pursued the art of the written word and the science of grammar with a passion that has become more intense with age.

I have written for 8 magazines over four decades, two were continuing serials with bi-monthly 3,000 word demands totaling eight years. These were lower level business publications all tied into my profession but with countless thousands of readers, both became popular with a decent following and with the internet a worldwide audience. I’m writing for a new third one today!

If there is one passion that ages well it is defiantly writing.

So that’s about 144,000 words for critics to slice and dice, crush and smash, insult and vomit on, deride and ride the anonymous poison pen insult bucking bull on.

Dennis Roe is a good guy with a blistered no nonsense hey diddle diddle right up the middle bang a gong let’s get it on attitude. As far as I can tell from his staccato 7.62…3 to 5 round word burst posts we would do well shoulder to shoulder together. I suspect you and he are brothers in the end game, but he is a man of action and not words. I have no doubt you are both.

Dennis has spit some tobacco juice in my direction once…I asked him why he is always sucking on a lemon just before he posts?

I suspect he had just bought a bag of lemons before he responded to your latest outstanding wordsmith painting.

Dennis is a little rough around the edges, but I think he’s a pretty solid guy. I’ve got over thirty-five years under my belt as a welder and steel fabricator working in construction, mining and pipe. Dennis sounds a lot like most of the guys I’ve worked with and around. LLPOH, I like DR for his tough talk but Uncola is not doing too much poetry here, he is really pounding out a message. There is hardly any academic stuff except for his giving citations and footnotes like a college freshman. Peeps could simply Gurgle a quote or a fancy word if they want to know more.

The cute titles need some work. Maybe not. It’s just that I read them and I understand what Dennis is complaining about. The article itself was really interesting. I just had to overcome the impression from the title that this was going to be about something like crystals and shit.

I resemble that remark. At least on this article. Truth is, I couldn’t find my “No Country for Old Men” book. It appears to have eloped with one of my socks from the dryer.

I thought about getting it from the library and decided to save myself the trouble and just search the quotes online instead.

The main one I wanted was from the movie so I truncated all the citations for consistency and turned it in hoping for a C+ or B-.

It was extra credit anyway, so that’s what that was

I appreciate the work you share here at TBP. I value your contributions. I look forward to your contributions. There is a ton of meat in your articles!

Robert Gore once quoted his father’s take on personal strength and social relations–how a person who demonstrates gentleness is a person who has strength. I thought about your essay and I watched the film.

But, if it’s a new beginning, what time is it, really? In my estimation, it’s the end of the beginning of the end for America. Next, comes the middle of the end, until, finally, the end of the end.

So what will happen when the real fecal waste matter collides with the proverbial whirling blades? What will happen when people can’t sustain themselves; when this nation becomes, truly, no country for old men?

This nation does not have to become no country for old men.

If there is a mention of a new beginning, it is time to right at least one wrong, an historical whitewash that has symbolically hammered and incisively dictated pseudo-patriotism upon citizens of the allies nations. Leaders of the allies nations intentionally and criminally ordered the mass-killing of Germans during and after WWII. A citizenry ready to make proper amendments and demand neoliberals and neoconservatives acknowledge this historical atrocity, is a citizenry capable of demanding abolishment of doublethink, groupthink and political correctness from all spheres of influence.

Remember when SkyKing was recorded as grittily but fumingly saying, “I just want you to whisper sweet nothings into my ear.”? When this historical wrong has been made right during the process of a new beginning, average citizens watching and experiencing the transformation will hear about the sweet nothings neoliberals and neoconservatives swoon over. These citizens will either favor the appeal of swooning over sweet nothings or favor the undertaking of thinking for themselves. Then they will begin cooperating with others on how to sustain themselves.

Well, let’s either get this one down or take the trifecta.

For some reason* TBP page one refused to leave my laptop long enough for this paragraph to burn a hole in my brain.

“But, if it’s a new beginning, what time is it, really? In my estimation, it’s the end of the beginning of the end for America. Next, comes the middle of the end, until, finally, the end of the end.”

You do enjoy playing around with words, trying to make them come full circle, don’t you, tadpole? Since we’ve chatted here, tbp crosstalk style, for years, you must have heard the one about my son wondering if you add the Omega to infinity, would you arrive back at Alpha or at zero? Some people think in circles. Others prefer straight line logic constraint. Perhaps a rare few thinkers are able to do both.

Good thinkers make good writers, whatever their geometric bent might be. TBP has good thinkers and good writers and the best comment streams on the internet, because of contributions just like this one.

And, I thought about the concept you quoted above off and on for, uh, a couple seconds at least. I decided you are mistaken. We are in the middle of the end… and it is, as the writers of long novels grasp… a terribly swampy middle. American culture is mired in a swamp and levels are rising, not draining away.

So, to 300 or archive?

RE: middle of the end

You may be right. Although, I think the beginning of the end began decades ago – so it’s been a long beginning.

But the reason I say we haven’t hit the middle yet is because life in America is still pretty normal. We haven’t really even been inconvenienced yet.

So, in my opinion, the end will be like this:

End of the Beginning
– Optics falling apart, gloves coming off

Middle – Daily physical discomfort and agitation disrupts the lives of most citizens

End – Great pain, until either the baby, or clone, is born

Keep in mind, in my above article, I said the “end of America“.

Once America is relegated to the ashbin of history, then that will be the beginning of the end on a global scale. This is when things are going get real sporty
