WASHINGTON, D.C.—Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is busy celebrating her victory over the tyrannical Jeff Bezos and the horrible burden his company Amazon had planned to inflict on the people of New York City: 25,000 jobs.
“I thought it was a good thing that Amazon was coming to New York and wanted to give us money,” Ocasio-Cortez told the press. “But then I found out they were going to extort people and only give them the money if they worked for it. Forcing people to work if they want to get paid — how is that any different from slavery?”
A number of people tried to explain to her how that was different from slavery, but she just stared at them with incomprehension. “No one needs to work,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “We just need to tax the rich enough and we’ll have enough money for everyone, and no one will need one of those awful jobs that are just as bad as slavery and almost as bad as transphobia. We could also maybe print some money. I have a printer at home.”
Not everyone was as happy about the loss of 25,000 new jobs. “You fool! What have you done?!” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo shouted at Ocasio-Cortez as he ran into her press conference.
“I made us 3 billion dollars!” Ocasio-Cortez explained. “We were going to give Amazon 3 billion dollars in tax breaks, but now we have that money for other things since I chased them away.”
“That’s not how it works!” Cuomo yelled, now openly weeping.
“No, I’m very good with numbers,” Ocasio-Cortez said. She held up a notebook with a few hastily scrawled numbers on it. She pointed to one. “This one is a four.”
Ocasio-Cortez has vowed to chase out even more companies from her district, freeing her constituents from burdensome work and gaining the treasury more money in tax breaks it doesn’t have to pay. Cuomo has vowed to curl into a ball and cry.

The people of NYC must be proud of their new Congresswoman. This is what happens when non political folks get into politics, aka Trump. It is enjoyable in a contorted sense watching the corrupt inbreds of both parties deal with the problems they created.
In my day the mall-rats were harmless. Vacuous and inane, clueless to the realities around them, they charmed with their physical appeals and lived or died on the vagaries of fashion, public opinion and consensus. Sadly, this opened the door to the dangers of the vacuous, empty headed and skill-less bimbos amongst us being coddled into believing they were fit for responsibility. Now we have women that are worse than useless. They are harmful, deleterious, and completely wrong headed. This woman has/had a father. Did not occur to him to simply tell her to sit down and shut up until she has enough information and experience to understand how misguided she is?
AOC is a perfect caricature of the mentally unbalanced leftist. An individual wholly given to emotional “feels” and completely absent logic and rationale. It’s my hope that she will continue espousing her every nonsensical idea at the top of her voice and that the National Enquirer ethos that comprises today’s msm will give each and every bizzare utterance maximum coverage.

I have been essentially making the same point to Ned – tax breaks are not subsidies. Not taxing someone is not the same thing as a subsidy. Amazon was not going to be taxed – NY was not going to lose anything.it was going to gain 25,000 Amazon jobs and maybe as many again flow on jobs. The Amazon jobs were going to average $150,000 plus a year.

Jobs are ONLY the modern day equivalent of slavery because the fruits of one’s labor (income) are SEIZED by our masters in the federal and state governments. Without this THEFT, jobs would be what they should ALWAYS be – the means by which one transforms one’s own labor into the means to sustain one’s life. Now we just sustain the life of the Beasts under the Domes.
The democrats created an entitlement class and still do not understand its dynamics. They expect to grow, prosper and build wealth while burdened down by supporters who only want the basics to survive. They’ve trained their constituents well. AOC is the end product of a fundamentally useless and parasitic portion of the populace. Economic deadends whose only excitibility is when their gov’t provided lifestyle is threatened. Democrats and progressives do a saber dance to protect them meanwhile sacrificing the elements which would produce better lives across the board. No wonder they feel threatened when the mood of the country turns in the opposite direction.
