It has emerged that a registered child sex offender has been reading to children at Houston Public Library as part of its Drag Queen Storytime.
A group called Mass Resistance, which has been trying to put an end to the program and contacted KHOU about the pedophile.
The action group claimed that it had been asking the City of Houston for months to disclose information about the drag queens but got no response.

It was only after the group did their own digging that the shocking link was revealed.
The library has confirmed that one of the program’s drag queens, Tatiana Mala Nina, is Alberto Garza, a 32-year-old child sex offender who in 2008, he was convicted of assaulting an eight-year-old boy.
‘Most parents would not allow that individual to sit in this library and be held up as a role model to our children. Shame on you, Mayor Sylvester Turner!’ said Tracy Shannon with Mass Resistance.
The Houston Public Library has now admitted that a proper background check on Garza was not carried out but what he will not be invited to participate in any future library programs.
Garza was charged with child sex assault in 2008. According to records, his victim was a child under the age of 14 years old.
The library said each program is supervised by staff, and all children are accompanied by a parent or guardian, the library said.
‘In our review of our process and of this participant, we discovered that we failed to complete a background check as required by our own guidelines. We deeply regret this oversight and the concern this may cause our customers. We realize this is a serious matter,’ the library said in a statement.
Protesters say they want people to be fired over the lack of oversight.
‘If they had done their job and due diligence, if they had said wait…maybe it’s not a good idea to have a sex offender who at 200 pounds and 5-foot-11 assaulted an 8-year-old boy!’ Shannon said.
‘We may not all agree that having adult entertainers is the right way to entertain young children or promote literacy and adversity and acceptance and inclusion,’ she continued, ‘but we can all agree that it’s inappropriate to have a sex offender. And for someone to not do their due diligence, to have a sex offender entertaining children at the library.’

Despite opponents of the scheme suing the library and Mayor Turner, the lawsuit was dismissed by a judge in January.
Houston Public Library released the following lengthy statement:
‘We were made aware today that one participant for Drag Queen storytime who read at the September 29, 2018, Drag Queen Storytime has a criminal background that should have prevented him from participating in the program.
‘We assure you that this participant will not be involved in any future HPL programs.
‘In our review of our process and of this participant, we discovered that we failed to complete a background check as required by our own guidelines. We deeply regret this oversight and the concern this may cause our customers. We realize this is a serious matter.
‘Every program sponsored by HPL is supervised by HPL staff, and all children are accompanied by a parent and/or guardian. No participant is ever alone with children, and we have not received any complaints about any inappropriate behavior by participants at storytimes.
‘We are taking the appropriate action to ensure that the status of every participant in every program throughout our system is verified. We will continue to review our process to ensure that this cannot happen again.
‘Once again, we apologize for our failure to adhere to our own process in this matter and to the hundreds of parents and caregivers who have enjoyed this program with their children.’

To any of you who have not visited the Children’s Section of your local library: go spend half an hour inspecting the trashy materials that are willingly put on the shelves by the library industry. There is an organization known as The American Library Association that pushes this kind of crap. Like so many organizations, the name oozes “goodness” but in reality it is a disgustingly different story.

Have you ever encountered a strange dog in your life? How long does it take for you to determine if the dog is friendly or a threat? Most people, unless they have some kind of severe disability will be ale to make that determination before than can begin to even formulate the thought. It is an instant reaction based on innate survival mechanisms inside the amygdala.
We have the exact same instincts where it comes to people, but we have been conditioned relentlessly since childhood to do the exact opposite. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover is one of our first lessons of civility in the post modern world. It’s completely worthless advice because covers are what sells books, they are intentionally designed to communicate what is inside. But a political elite that desires to maintain its grasp on power requires either complete homogenity or perpetual conflict. You know what kind of system you live in, so conflict has been made the first order of the day and in order to keep it up there must be a never ending stream of agitation and division without a means of defense by those who are healthy, normal human beings that believe in traditional lifestyles. It isn’t natural, it’s imposed. Instead of people saying “what the fuck is wrong with you exposing young children to mentally disturbed sexual fetishists?”, the dominant belief is “what’s wrong with you for opposing it?”
So here’s how you do it, employ the God given gift of awareness of what lies beneath that has been hard wired into your DNA as a tool for survival and ask yourself, what is my visceral reaction to this physiognomy? If an organism is sick, damaged, drugged, criminally inclined, or a sexual predator it radiates from them, from their eyes, their posture, their tics and movements.
If you hone those skills they become sharper and better trained at picking out problematic individuals that almost certainly will cause problems at some point.
If you ignore them you wind up being one of those people who is always bemoaning the fact that they can’t find a good man, hired the wrong person, didn’t know that their kid was doing drugs, etc.
That’s how you use it and it works as well as any other form of self-preservation. It isn’t hard and it isn’t wrong to make these determinations if you live an intentional life that angles itself towards stability and peace. Some people gravitate towards them because they prefer the excitement of living dangerously. Your call.

One of the common ways organizations discourage decent volunteers is by requiring the volunteer to pay for stuff like fingerprinting and other aspects of the background check before they will be allowed in. Someone at the Houston library let this pervert in; that person should be fired. And keep firing all the way to the top.
I am waiting to hear that hollow line that always gets blurted out: “they will be held accountable”.
I know that as a parent of children in the local school system if I want to chaperone a school trip to the museum I must first go to the local PD, be fingerprinted and go through a criminal background check.
But then I’m not a tranny so the rules are different.
From a thousand miles away I am getting vibes of body language from the zoo keepers at the school district that you will never be accepted as a chaperone. Plus, they won’t even let you ride at the back of the bus.
