Why do these funnies not seem so funny?

What and who exactly is a peripheral third party?

Maggie, one of the first cartoons politically in the US was from Ben Franklin with the snake chopped up with the colonies names on the pieces with the phrase”Join Or Die”,not sure most political cartoons are supposed to be funny, did enjoy though the need for another clown car for the dems!

Sadly, the cartoon is making reference to the redactions of the Mueller report that Barr is REQUIRED BY LAW to make in order to protect the identity of anyone who might have been mentioned in the report but who was not implicated in any way (possibly just interviewed, etc.) – ie peripheral third party. That the cartoonist doesn’t understand or care about this law (which might very well protect innocent democrats who might be mentioned), is sad, but typical in this day and age.

Thanks. I really didn’t know that term was a term. So, Hillary and Bill again.

I think they do not seem funny to me mostly because, since we’ve stopped staying abreast of MOST current events so the pun or irony is out of my peripheral vision. (How’s that for tieback?)

The other reason they do not seem funny is that I get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I see something so outrageous it should not even be, much less be made fun of.

And, yes, grammar nazis, I do know of the rule with which Winston Churchill said he would not up with put.

The same reason Comedy Central has so little comedy.

Sunday Morning Classical ver.3.0

Alone, in the study, awake earlier than most,
perhaps reflecting on what we still have, and not lost.

It’s easy to forget, and take vital abilities for granted.

Focus.
A deaf man cannot hear for pleasure.
A blind man hears, but cannot see the beauty,
nor the means displayed by the musicians.

Jersey, I hope you catch this. Play it for your Ma. I expect she’ll like it.

The composer is Austrian; the musicians, Russian.

Exceptional talent in the beautiful young lady playing the harp.

If ever there was a good example of dreaming what the afterlife might hold,
This is what I’m hoping to encounter, IF, or when I get there.

“See you in Heaven if you make the list, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.”
(M. Stipe,, REM)

Enjoy, those who can appreciate it.

Sunday Beer prayer:

Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk,
(I will be drunk),
At home as in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer, The bitter and The lager.
Forever and ever, Amen

Debt is wealth, boys are girls, Libs are tolerant, blacks are perfect for portraying historically white heroes, and the truth is a hate crime.
World upside down, is just sad.
Keep revealing, kit.
