How Many Websites Are There?

Via ZeroHedge

On 6 August 1991, British physicist Tim Berners-Lee at CERN in Switzerland published the first ever website, the WorldWideWeb (W3).

By the end of 1992 there were ten websites online and, after CERN made the W3 technology publicly available on a royalty-free basis in 1993, the internet gradually started to grow into the all-encompassing giant that it is today.

By 1994, there were close to 3 thousand sites, one of which was a fledgling Yahoo! which, originally called ‘Jerry and David’s Guide to the World Wide Web’, started its online life as a web directory.

By the time Google came onto the scene there were over two million websites.

As Statista’s infographic shows, today there are 1.71 billion, and looking at Internet Live Stats’ counter, despite being lower than 2017’s 1.76 billion, this figure is currently increasing at a fast rate.

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. Too many to count.
But probably less than 100 that are worthy of repeat visits.

It’s the latest, greatest example of saturation, where a discerning eye and mind are mandatory requirements, to sift the wheat from the chaff.

A good place to start?
Why, right here where JQ rules.
From there, his list of recommended sites listed in the margin off right.

From there, the explorer chooses paths and routes that take him to either: fascinating discoveries that elicit boundless emotions, or toward mundane fluff sites that offer no redeeming value.

Choose wisely, grasshoppers.

Can you snatch the golden nuggets one can find, if ye venture to dig, exploring further?

In the end, to each, their own.
Have fun.
But, learn.

A local news anchor told me to be sure to take water if going outside.

Are your weather folks nannies there?

I don’t heed their advice much.
What other occupation, can you be wrong with predictions 50% of the time, and still keep your job?
Politicians, maybe.

In my State, if one doesn’t like the weather forecast, we just wait a while, and it changes, sometimes doing a 180.

M, it seems the mere sight of our monikers are burrs in some cowboy’s saddle.
‘tsup with that?

Seems to be some real confusion…the kind only the Enemy spreads with blind ambition.

Ambition is a good thing until it is not.

Have appreciated u and limit interaction

If collateral damage? Oops.

Thinking it is in the water.

This short piece is one of those Points to Ponder.

Whole communities of small groups interacting in a network producing commerce.

Commerce is a funny word to inspire laws

Not all websites are.EQUAL.

Not all have someone at least helping shield the crap.

Appreciate TBP by sending dollars to help pay bills.

watta joke.

I have read all 1.76 billion websites. At least it seems so at times.
Now I just visit TBP and Knuckledraggin.
1/2 an hour twice a week.
The big blue room awaits you all.
