I’m sure there are plenty of lies being told under the Trump administration as well. Meet the new boss….same as the old boss.
There are lies and then there are lies. Trump said he has a fabulous chest and then tweeted a picture of his head on Rocky’s body. It was discovered to be FAKE!
To be clear, I was speaking ONLY about the Afghan war, not trying to generalize about Trump.
So, for 18 years not a single person in the know came forward to blow the whistle on this fiasco.
The gov’t is absolutely full of sociopaths. No decent human being could stay quiet.
Now that this report is out, what will Trump do? Will he ignore this? Will he get irate and pull the plug on the ME? My bet is he will take on Iran before November.
Maybe he will move to the Caribbean and hide out while lecturing people. Skin in the game?
There’s an old saying – when the US catches a cold, the whole world sneezes. Everyone has skin in the game.
I chose to move a considerable distance outside the immediate ‘blast radius’ which is centered in the continental US. When the SHTF, I believe the violence will be horrific and I want to avoid it as much as possible. I call my planning being prudent. Jealousy is such a petty emotion.
As far as lecturing is concerned, I don’t. I state my opinion and do so without bringing personalities into the discussion. I rely on logic and reason not cheap shots.
Why not try to formulate some prose that counters my insights and try to convince me and others of your view?

Blame the lying political fucks, blame the generals, including the sitting Chief of the Joint Chiefs and blame the enlisted……and of course ourselves.
Politicians and Generals (politicians in uniform) can only lie successfully because no enlisted spoke out….zero anti-war participation from the all-volunteer force. They just suffered in silence with varying degrees of PTSD I guess because they were willing participants.
Then there are the American people (sheeple) who cheered for the fake death of Bin Laden, who then said nothing about Operation Redwings or the utter failure of every effort to “win the hearts and minds”….makes Vietnam look like a resounding success by comparison. This is not what winning looks like:
There really is no such thing as an Afghan. The map tells it all. Persians, Turkmen, Uzbeks, Tajiks, and the Pashtun, who are the Taliban. All Taliban are Pashtun on both sides of the border with Pakistan. Pretty much just a no man’s land of competing tribes enjoying the best the middle ages has to offer combined with modern weapons.
Amazing, the amount of shit coming to light lately. Not sure if it’s by Trump or because of Trump, but either way I have a feeling that more and more people’s eyes are opening every day. (Or at least I hope and pray they are.)
Or all the stuff is coming to light all at once so as to effectively DILUTE the impact of any and all of it on the soft, marshmallow-filled minds of the American sheeple.
