MEANWHILE….IN NEWFOUNDLAND

-----------------------------------------------------
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. Yeah, because of global warming that was really hot snow and you know hot things expand. So, if it was regular cold snow it would have only been maybe an inch deep. Duh….

Reminds me of a blizzard I experienced in 2007. I had recently moved to a new house and only had a John Deere mower with a snow blade on the front to do snow removal for about 500 feet of driveway. That was adequate for normal amounts of snow in our area but not for the record amount of 36” we got in a 24 hour period. I kept up for about the first 18” and then night came and the wind kicked up enough to reach blizzard status. I woke up the next morning to find that everything I had kept plowed prior to nightfall was now about 2 feet deep at a minimum with several areas over four feet deep due to so much drifting snow. My puny mower was useless in a vast sea of snow. We had to wait a day or so until a friend could plow us out with his plow truck. He had been so busy doing his regular clients that he had barely slept much at all in the last 48 hours.

If one isn’t careful you could end up taking a dirt nap due to carbon monoxide in the van .

He has a monoxide detector and clearly states and shows them in his videos. I like his unconventional ways of camping, reminds me a lot of this site.

It’s kind of his fudge you government, I want to go camping. I look forward to his videos every Thursday night because I haven’t a TV. It works for me.

He has a crazy neighbor that is involved, he’s pretty creative and a asset IMHO.

Mygirl....Maybe

I own the exact van model and I can guarantee that if the temps are 40 below I will be in a hotel rather than camping in it.
