Does life after death really exist? The answer to this question has fundamental implications for every man, woman and child on the entire planet, and yet most people don’t spend very much time thinking about it. If this life is not the end, so much of the petty stuff that we spend so much time obsessing over in this life really doesn’t matter, and instead we should be focusing on the things that actually do matter for the life to come. However, if this life truly is the end, we might as well eat, drink, party and enjoy this life as much as possible because it is all we’ve got. Of course that is the approach most of us seem to be taking in recent years, but a growing body of evidence clearly indicates that life after death really does exist. For example, a study that was conducted by Gallup concluded that literally millions of people have had “near-death experiences”…
Everyone has thought about life after death at some point. But millions of people have gone beyond thinking about it to actually experiencing it.
One Gallup study shows millions of people have had “near-death experiences” that gave them a glimpse into the afterlife.
In other words, there are a whole lot of people out there that have gotten a glimpse of the other side and have come back to tell us about it.
Author John Burke has investigated 1,000 of those cases, and his research began about 30 years ago when his father was battling cancer. At the time, he was “not a believer”…
Burke first began researching NDEs 30 years ago while his father was dying of cancer. He was not a believer at the time, but his findings would, in essence, propel him closer to faith.
“I didn’t really have faith at the time and that really opened me up. I said, ‘Oh my gosh, maybe this whole God, Jesus stuff is real,’” he said, adding that since then “I’ve studied about 1,000 NDE accounts [while also] studying Scriptures.”
Burke’s research took him on an absolutely amazing journey, and it ultimately resulted in him becoming a believer and later founding a church in Austin, Texas…
Previously an engineer with a “very analytical mind,” he later decided to go into ministry and founded Gateway Church in Austin, Texas, where he currently serves as pastor to a flock of 4,500 members.
“I did a lot of searching [and asked], ‘Are there reasons to believe?’” Burke said. “And found lots of them.”
It has been estimated that one out of every 25 people in the United States has had a near death experience, and Burke says that there are 12 common elements that so many of these near death experiences share…
1. Out-of-body experience
2. Heightened senses
3. Intense emotions
4. Passing into or through a tunnel
5. Encountering a mystical or brilliant light
6. Meeting a mystical being or dead friends and relatives
7. A sense that time and space is altered
8. A review of life
9. Encountering unworldly realms
10. Being given special knowledge
11. Reaching or seeing a boundary or barrier they decide not to cross
12. Returning to the body
Of course not everyone that dies and comes back experiences each one of these elements.
But one of the most common things that people tend to experience is a visit to a place of incredible beauty. In fact, even blind people that die and come back are able to see it while they are there…
People often describe a place of exquisite beauty, not unlike the earth, with mountains, forests, flowers, and streams, yet alive in new dimensions of time and space—illuminated by a light that radiates life and love. Even a few NDErs who were blind from birth also “see” the same exquisite beauty. They describe this same mystical light that doesn’t shine on, but out of, everything, affirming the Bible’s explanation that there is no sun or moon in Heaven, but the glory of God is its light (Revelation 21:23-24).
In addition, Burke says that most people that die and come back are given a comprehensive review of their lives by God while they are in this place of incredible beauty…
In the presence of God, many people experience a life review—a panoramic, three-dimensional re-living of their entire life in an instant. Every thought, motive, and action is laid bare, and they experience the profound way their actions affected others. In the presence of unconditional love, they see all the good and evil, cause and effect, and they realize it is love that matters most to God. This is consistent with the teachings of Moses and Jesus, who say that loving God first and loving people second sums up all the commandments (Matthew 22:36-40).
Sadly, not all NDE experiences are positive ones.
According to Burke, approximately one-fourth of the NDE experiences that he reviewed were extremely negative…
Not all the experiences were positive ones. About one-fourth experienced what we might think of as hell or purgatory that served as a wake-up call for what they needed to do with their lives.
Overall, Burke included a whopping 120 of the NDE experiences that he investigated in his book entitled “Imagine Heaven: Near-Death Experiences, God’s Promises, and the Exhilarating Future That Awaits You”. (Amazon Affiliate Link)
According to Burke, people from every walk of life and in every part of the globe are having these sorts of encounters…
After researching nearly 1,000 accounts of people who died, were resuscitated, and lived to report a near death experience (NDE) of the afterlife, I wrote my book “Imagine Heaven.” In it, I showcase 120 stories that illustrate the commonalities of these accounts, correlating them with an in-depth look at the Bible’s picture of Heaven. What results is an exhilarating, imaginative journey into the life to come—an encouraging perspective for us all as we enter into a new year.
When I examined the similarities of the actual NDE reports across ages and cultures, they affirm each other and scripture. These are accounts told by surgeons, college professors, commercial airline pilots, bank presidents—people who have nothing to gain, but credibility to lose. Their experiences align with reports from around the globe, from children, even from blind people who claim to “see” this same awe-inspiring picture of Heaven.
My hope is that what I have shared here will get people thinking about what really matters.
Our lives are so brief, and it is so easy to get caught up in the short-term matters that seem so important at the time, but what awaits us beyond the grave is actually far more consequential.

When I was in High School I dated a girl named Sherry whose father was pretty rough and he just plain didn’t like me dating his only daughter.
Sherry and her mom decided that they would try and smooth things out by inviting me to dinner so that her dad and I could get to know each other better.
Big mistake.
Just as we were finishing dinner, her dad turned to me and asked, “If you could know the exact time and place that you were going to die, would you want to know?”
The girls were thrilled. Dad and I were going to have a nice thoughtful discussion…NOT!
I thought for a minute and replied – NO.
He turned to me and in a forceful voice said, “OK, forget it!”
I slept with my eyes open that night…
Funny. I got one of those. On my 1st date with a gal packing 36DD’s under her sweater as we walked from the house to my car her father put his arm around me and whispered “Son, 9 months from now are you still gonna need your thumbs?)
Your making this up. Overlooking the fact you are so shallow, what teenage girl would be packing double D’s? And what father of a double D would let her date before turning 40?
He didn’t say she was a teenager, she was his first date. My first date wasn’t a teenager either. Imagination is a wonderful thing.
Fuck yourself
No sense of humor. It was an invitation to expand on double bubble.
No sense of ha ha
Her name was Tammy , 5 crazy years. 36ccc-24-36
I was 21 when she asked me if I wanted to “hang out”- there’s 36CCC and 36ccc, I’m 36ccc she said smiling proudly, the massive gravity defying torpedoes swaying gently back and forth. A carpenter’s square could be put underneath and you would call it perfect.
My boss at the time was a real prick , literally everyone hated him and I was ready to move on so I pushed back , made the feeling mutual. “Dating” his 16 year old daughter was icing on the cake.
Maybe he didn’t want any joeys in the family.
kangaroo joke?

OMG!!!!!! WHO DOESNT LOVE DANCING BEARS!!!
That’s Steve C.’s alter ego. Not altar ego, mind you. He’s such a good writer, I’m ashamed to keep trolling him. But troll we must. Hey, Steve, keepa you hands off Little Red.
And you keepa you hands off of my shy and sweet Sekiguchi…
Speaking of freaky? Can you count all 13 passes of this ball?
I’m reading ‘America Before’ by Graham Hancock and he spends a lot of time describing native American and ancient Egyptian beliefs of what happens after death. He does it to point out some similarities, but interestingly enough they both pretty much align with the first 11 items in the list above.
The ethno-religious and cultural differences between experiences are of great interest to me.
Does the Hindu see the same thing as the Buddhist and Christian, and how does it all connect?
Can souls and animals be reincarnated and is it by choice? Also, can those souls reincarnated be put back to the physical realm multiple times to learn and re-learn the concepts of humility and empathy required to attain a higher level of spiritual advancement?
It’s a fascinating concept to think about given the number of ideologies and cultural variations in the world. My ancestors have legends of animal spirit guides among them and it would pain me to think animals, even though some people consider them lesser beings with no soul, would never accompany their human friends along the way. I’d like to think differently.
Both related and unrelated.
When we finally put our 13.5 year old chocolat lab down her brown fur was greying. As they injected her and she passed, her fur changed back to its original dark brown healthy coat.
I futiley tried to give a dying man first aid. As he passed i actually witnessed a light in his eyes brighten then wink out.
I believe there is something more. I believe we have forgotten more than we still know.
Well, following a popular belief of what heaven is, it would seem that heaven is massively overpopulated if you count the first humans and move forward from that point.
At least there’s no Muslims.
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
did you see the 13th ball pass
I saw Sugar Bear Steve moon-walking on the second viewing.
The afterlife is a scam thought up by religious leaders to help them to exploit the masses.
The Churches declared themselves the Leaders and Rulers of mankind and exploited the people telling them their reward would come in the “next life”. They then demanded the people to obey and even worship them and accept their rule over them. Talk about a brilliant scam…..
Interesting and in my mind reassuring. I’ve always believed in One divine power. Logically, we all see that power through different means, depending upon our culture.
UD, where’d ya stumble onto this?
I caught it on A/C’s site, and tagged it to a comment
on Stuck’s most recent thread of Munchkin’s poem on
1/21/2020.
But, not pulling a Bassem Asshat, whining for credit or royalties.
The message is what’s important moreso than who provides it.
I do like that Snyder brought the article to a wider audience.
As did AnonyConserve on his blog,
as well as you and Admin here. Kudos.
I happens to me all the time. I have an idea, comment on it and the next day somebody has an entire article based on that idea or mentions it in passing. To add insult to injury, nobody ever says, gee coyote that’s a great idea, I think I’ll write up an article on it.
I suspected so, as much as you contribute, hombre.
Guess I shouldn’t be surprised that it’s common,
and we aren’t the only ones.
nothing to get bunched undies about, but…
sometimes it’s irritating, if irritable.
Kinda like posting a witty comment, then watch comment placement cutters horn in by the swarm, and some johnny-come-lately says what you said hours or days previously, but got pushed to the tail end of the logjam.
Time stamps are a good clue for sharpies, but get lost on the larger audience.
And so it goes…
I saw your comment and assumed someone submitted it via email… that happens too, EC…
” In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” ~ John 14:2-3 KJV
You will see them again. The Master has spoken and we have His promise.
Amen. One day we will go to the light , where the streets are of gold.
Sure …. for those who believe in the Father ….
Jesus saves sinners……..Shalom
So, one explanation for the commonality of Near Death Experience is the mind lives outside the physiology of the brain, so that even when the brain dies, the mind (as opposed to the brain) has the ability to remain aware. Think of it as a hive mind, and we are all bees in a colony called earth.
then again, another explanation is that the brain dumps out DMT (hallucinogen) from the pineal gland,
and this is why the elite love to perform ritualistic human sacrifices, like the pagans of the past, as they think that blood sacrifices to Bael (Baal) are necessary for them to advance.
Too much believing and no critical thinking hasn’t brought mankind to the present state. Occam’s razor tells the story of neurobiological pathways with memory altering, hallucinations and wishful thinking.
Sorry, no almighty powerful entity up there; mind your business with your own head and hands and be gentle w/o the fury of hell as threat.
Bingo. Nothing to be afraid of. Remember how traumatized you were during the American Civil War? Of course not, because you were dead. Didn’t hurt a bit.
I used to see it the same way. Then I hung out with online atheists for about ten years. By the end of that time I came to the realization that everyone – you, me, all the people everywhere, are walking, talking hallucination layer cakes. We pick the beliefs that suit us, and we run with that. I used to read Dawkins and Harris. Now I’m reading the Bible. Far more entertaining than what those two pedantic assholes wrote.
“Hallucination layer cakes” is as outstanding a description of our predicament as I’ve heard in quite some time. Well said, sir.
Jerusalem …..the golden or East gate….now sealed…is where Jesus will enter, After www3 is finished. Shalom
That’s why people who have NDEs sometimes can see and hear what is going on not only in the room their body is in, but in other places as well. There’s a famous story about a person who woke up after being resuscitated during surgery and talked about seeing a shoe outside on the ledge. They investigated and there was a shoe in a place that couldn’t be seen from the windows or by someone looking up from the ground. Sure, wishful thinking does that all the time…
None of this is evidence of a god. Most people who use LSD see similar hallucinations which is purely a chemical experience. Chemicals are released in the brain during death which could explain similar experiences. In addition, people who claim NDE’s as evidence always seem to exclude the people who do not see similar things or offer any statistical evidence of how many do and how many do not.
I will never understand the desperate levels to which people will go to believe in something for which there is no proof and even less logic…
Why do people cling to that intellect bugaboo? There is no proof of things like a soul or conscience or intellect. Where do thoughts come from? Dreams? How about ideas on the structure of DNA? Why did white people end up having all the really good ideas and non-whites only got ideas about hiring out as slaves? It just doesn’t make sense, Anon.
Yahbuts often offer alternative explanations to counter a faith based belief. Or, they simply dismiss a belief of things unseen, unknown, or unprovable as blind faith, and therefore inferior knowledge or awareness.
Never entertaining the possibility that what few glimpses that have been given to conscious humans are meant to fulfill a promise, and peaceful reassurance to the faithful with good will predominant in their earthly lives.
Never the full revelation, just subtle hints, until that transition is made complete.
Not fully accessible until each individual crosses over.
And even then, that something awaits beyond our wildest imaginations, that our limited, human abilities are capable of.
To each their own.
But, I bet the 25% who were on the ‘wrong track’ until their near death experience scared them straight, from their wicked ways, in the time they had left among the living, after momentarily escaping death…those might make a more convincing argument, than the 75% who were granted a glimpse of eternal bliss.
Imagine this: vehement denial, and then crossing over to face Him, as well as those who have gone before us.
Personally, I’d rather harmlessly believe, and hope, even if ultimately wrong about what’s really on the other side.
The alternative is much more grim to arrogantly assume the faithful are idiots, but then discovery who really is the inferior mind.
You really need to get your head wrapped around this thing another way, Amigo.
I’ve been looking at the main focus of the National Science Foundation which was put into place to guide and direct the United States effort to “win” the Space Race with the Soviet Union. In other words, it was the biggest money pit in place to fund all sorts of covert weapons and spying efforts, I think.
Now? It is a big social science experiment, perhaps.
When you discount intellect, what is left is superstition and belief in magic….
There will never be “evidence of a god”. No vids, no selfies, no pod casts: “Hey, this is God! And guess what? I AM reality…”
You are desperately proposing the opposite, you are having to believe to disbelieve in something. Duality is built in to the system. Creation is not tangible, nor will It ever be. “God” is not some old bearded guy who passes out favors, and/or hurls down judgements. Creation is the Source, the emanation, and the container of all that is.
Funny. When I look around, I see evidence of God everywhere.
30 years ago, when my dad was laying on his death bed in ICU, after a long quiet spell, he started weakly speaking about the light. We tried to catch more, but he spoke so softly, that was all we could make out. We turned off the room lights and asked if “…that was better?” We then realized he had had his eyes closed the whole time. He died shortly afterwards.
That has been of great comfort to this very day.
I am not a person who follows dogmatic Christianity or any other religion. There are incredible nuggets of pure wisdom in every tradition and I choose not to filter out a nugget because it isn’t stamped Christian. I have studied religions and spiritual practices both historically and geographically for 45 years and I have reached the following conclusions. I will share them with you, for what they’re worth:
That’s all for now. For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, perhaps something above will be useful.
That sounds like the outline of a juvenile freshman writing assignment. And, no, I will not find any of your hallucinations useful. Sorry to be so blunt but you could use a 2X4 across the forehead to fix your loony thinking.
You sound like someone who is incapable of employing argumentative reasoning to suggest why you are not convinced. In other words, another delusional disbeliever who has no rational basis upon which to base their disbelief and yet revels in their delusion nonetheless. Check back in some time when you can bring something to the table. As it is, you’re just embarrassing yourself. Really.
I could have stopped reading at “dogmatic Christianity” but kept reading and found even more Philistine level comments. Suggesting that Christ and Ronald McDonald are interchangeable is a grievous claim. It only gets worse. He goes on to suggest that all religions share a common set of principles. Then he delves into metaphysics, suggesting that all is one, that there is no punishment, that the afterlife is compartmentalized into realms governed by Buddha, Jesus and Nancy Pelosi. Excuse me while I embarrass myself by not believing this pontifical potpourri.
Joseph Campbell wrote many compelling books and essays about comparative religion. “The Hero of a Thousand Faces” was an interesting exploration into the similarities of belief systems and Campbell noted that religion and myth were often used to compel certain behaviors (goodness, humility, sharing, compassion etc.) and explore the path that a person takes from birth to death and how one comes to be a complete person.
Long ago I used to ponder these life/death questions but I don’t worry about it anymore. When I am dead I will know with certainty and until that moment I shall live my life, enjoy my life and not fret over things that no one knows the truth of with any degree of certainty.
Only Jesus can forgive a sinner…..He rose from the tomb one Sun morning over 2000 yrs ago in Jerusalem. Shalom
I believe Johnny Cash wrote that song . I have always like it.Used to feel that way about Sundays until I found Christ or He found me. Thank El Coyote.
Written by Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash made it a hit.

If you’ve tried to eat a vile Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal lately, you could not in good conscience include Ronald McDonald to any list of potentially enlightened beings
No one has ever seen Buddha or Muhammad after death. Not much to see.
There it is.
Paul to Timothy.
1 Timothy 6:13-16 KJB… “I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.”
In light of the above, what is that light that people with NDE’s claim to have seen? I certainly will not call the majority liars though some have told tales to make money.
2 Corinthians 11:14 KJB… “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
I believe satan to be THAT cruel, the level of deception to be THAT deep, his plan of evil to be THAT effective. Here it is, 5 “I will” statements.
Isaiah 14:12-14 KJB… “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”
Satan has most everyone fooled. Paul Harvey got it wrong when he said the devils best trick was to cause the world to believe he didn’t exist. His best trick, as written in the book of the prophet Isaiah, is to cause the world to believe that he is God.
Someday…
Revelation 12:9 KJB… “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Meanwhile, we keep sharing the truth as found in 2 Cor 5:17-21, the ministry of reconciliation. Grace and peace from God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. That way, regardless of human testimony, we can be sure of our destination when our bodies die.
Amen to that good say!
10,000 years of Hindu and Buddhist writings, by people who have passed through the “death experience” while alive, document quite clearly the levels of consciousness and the realms of consciousness not tied to this mortal sack of meat. Science can’t “measure” what is going on, but as ALL of IT is energy, and we know that there is a conservation of energy in the overall universe, that which animates us must inherently continue beyond, as it existed before our current incarnation in this flesh.
Ahh, that’s hilarious: “10.000 years of Hindu and Buddhist writing…” and in the next sentence “science can’t measure…” If science is capable of something then of measuring that there is no 10.000years of H&B writing! But alas, to each their own…
What? How is a continuous 10,000 year history of these experiences, and all the written (and oral) documentation that exists and continues to be presented and experienced, in any way in conflict with the fact that today’s science still cannot effectively measure or quantitate these experiences, and so dismisses them?
1-there is no written 10.000y history. “Oral” 10.000y history:you kiddin’ me?
2- the first written artifacts are sumerian cuneiform writings , roundabout 5300y ago –and they were excel charts: how many cows and how much wheat and beer and so on:you see ,the important things!
3-the oldest documented reference of “experiences” is the sumerian gilgamesch-Epos, 4000y old . Hindu (Vedas) and buddhist literature is some hot latest shit:3.000-2000y together with the Thora,Old and New testament.
4- the presentation of “experiences” in the gilgamesch epos is the story of a king who finds a friend , much fighting, friend dies, finds and looses the herb for immortality, comes home and lived happily as a good king. Duuh?
5-In fact: Science is currently making good progress in measuring and manipulating “experiences” .
If we as a species will ever have a chance to evolve above the animal status- than through the critical deployment of scientifical experience. No God will take us out of our mess!
You obviously know little about Buddhists as they do not believe in the existence of your individual soul after death. Instead they believe the life force within you returns to where all life force in the universe originates from, to be reused in the future. Sort of like electrical charge being returned to a battery after it has completed a circuit and done the work it was intended to do…..
Sort of like electrical charge being returned to a battery after it has completed a circuit and done the work it was intended to do…..

Is that what your Tesla dealer told you, you poor deluded fool?
A few days ago ….. MS. FREUD LET ME KNOW THAT HER CONSCIOUSNESS / PERSONALITY / EGO IS ALIVE AND WELL!!!”
I have thought about what happened for hours on end. I can come to no other conclusion except that what I stated above is 100% true and real.
Specifics will be posted on Feb. 4th.
Rest assured we survive this incarnation.
That’s great news, Stucky, that Ms. Freud was allowed to contact you after her passing. I’ve studied this for many, many years, and have heard NDE accounts first-hand long before the internet was invented. My own personal experiences later confirmed the reality of other planes of existence. It’s all there for anyone who truly wants to know for sure.
I had a librarian when I was in high school named Rosemary. She was married to the high school principle.
He died almost ten years ago, but for many years they operated the little corner grocery store “down Highway P” from the farm.
When I got in contact with Rosemary upon my return to the region, I took her a special rose and told her it was kind of from “Jim.”
In many, many ways, we both believe that it was. She told me that Jim promised to put roses into her hands in mysterious ways for the rest of her life.
Jim was a real father figure to me and made a difference in my life. Somehow the Lord worked His purpose through me almost ten years ago.
The night of my father-in-law’s funeral, I had a vision so vivid I sat up in the hotel room bed and woke up my husband, who’d been through a lot due to the wreck he’d had the night he arrived in Cleveland. But, the vision was so vivid I had to tell both him and my 18-year-old son in the other bed. Both just groaned at the time, but at least I told them.
I saw Poppa Grooch and Karen, pictured above in her little shop in Cape Girardeau a couple of years before her death. She sang at my wedding(s).
They stood before some sort of thronelike object. He was laughing and talking. She was looking at him fondly (he was 5’2″ to her 5’8″) and then she turned her head and looked right into my eyes and said “I’ve got him now.”
And I woke up.
And, even though my husband had 18 staples in his head from that wreck, he appreciated me waking him. And, he was relieved Poppa G. was there with Karen. I couldn’t see any other faces but hers and his and he was yakkety yakking away, like when he was with family.
I hope God lets the Comforter continue to communicate Maureen’s love and joy to you.
John: 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

I thought Rosemary was a weird name for a high school.
I thought Maggie had been the Parsley HS valedictorian.
Pixley
Actually, we are approaching my 40th anniversary of high school graduation. These two were my besties from childhood, with their going steady facilitated by myself in third or fourth grade when I asked Clint if he “liked” Karen because she sure “liked” him.
In 2010, while she was undergoing her last attempts to defeat the cancer metastasized to her organs and spine, she gave me a gold “M” charm to wear on my gold chain. I was so thrilled with the gift, my husband immediately countered with a plastic M he found in Joey’s old toy box. For a long time, I carried both with me when I traveled for protection, I guess.
Now, I carry the remnants of Poppa Grooch’s rosary, long ago broken and half the beads lost, but still good.
Clint survived. He is dating again and I’m happy for him.
good one…
If your wife had the means to contact you and you actually recognized the attempt … how wonderful.
Will be looking for that interesting post when it comes. Unfortunately, some of us aren’t as empathically sensitive to recognize such contact but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
I envy you, StuckMeister.
I know a young man who’s been clinically dead twice who’s sensitive to things I’m incapable of seeing, yet he’s graphically described his experience while I’m standing right in front of him, seeing and feeling nothing. During one instance both of us were in a pet crematory. He told us he felt strange, and “they” were everywhere.
What, exactly, is “everywhere”, I asked him.
“Animals. Fish, birds, the cats and dogs … they’re everywhere.”
What he described was strange and slightly fantastic, but when he mentioned seeing the presence of a large cat we owned and the unfortunate mangling done to him by human hands when I got his body back … well, it made me listen. It wasn’t just animals, but people, too.
Imagine that.
Like I said, I envy you, but only because you truly had someone who loved you THAT MUCH to set your roiling mind at ease.
In 1980, following a motorcycle accident, on the way to the hospital, I had what I later learned was an NDE. My body was “clinically dead” for several minutes. I spent over a decade studying and trying to understand the event.
There are of course many explanations, the most common subscribed to by the atheist-rationalist-reductionist crowd, is that it is an “endorphin-based-dillusion”. Possibly some are, but if you are there, and cognizant of what happened, you can definitely tell the difference.
The takeaway from the event was these things you can be certain of:
1) There is some kind of ultimate Creator.
2) We are differenciated sparks, or “Soul” beings, of the Creator.
3) You will persist beyond this incarnation.
4) You will continue to return to physical life, though the term “reincarnation” is only an approximation of this.
5) What you experience when you cross over, will be nothing like you expect.
Neither atheists nor religionists like my explanation of the event, because this does not fit their paradigms.

I live in very close proximity to a couple of properties that have paranormal activity that would blow your mind. Objects physically moving by themselves, voices of both children and adults, etc., etc. It doesn’t take a genius to realize from these things that there’s more to us than flesh and bone.
I reckon we shall all get to the bottom of this, the eternal question (or to the top of it) soon enough and one way or the other:
In the meantime be a responsible mature adult, tell the truth, spread the love, be kind to children, old folks and animals and Epstein didn’t kill himself.
If a person was resuscitated, they did not truly die, just in a state requiring and accepting resusatation. Comes down to words and definitions. Those resusatated still had cranial activity. There has been indications our organs transpire in stages. It will be interesting if some day that those who choose cryogenics can be
Brought back. If just using your DNA and stem cells can have you born again. I am just betting on enjoying as much I can while I am able and sharing as many smiles as possible.
Bullshit. I had a cardiac arrest 5 years ago. There is nothing on the other side. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
