Timelines for the Coronavirus COVID-19 and the H1N1 Swine Flu 2009

Submitted By Les P

Timelines for people to compare and contrast and draw their own conclusions.  I have not seen a comparison of these virus timelines anywhere.

There is a lot of gnashing of teeth, blame fests and weaponizing of the COVID-19 virus going on.

The biggest initial problem in dealing with this potential COVID-19 pandemic has been the reluctance of China to release information, to accept foreign assistance and to request help and to do so in a timely fashion.

It is worthwhile to look at the timeline for the 2009 H1N1 virus which originated in California.

On April 15th, 2009 the H1N1 virus (Swine Flu) was first detected in California.

On April 24th, ” CDC uploaded complete gene sequences of new H1N1 2009 virus to a publicly-accessible international influenza database.”

On April 26th, the”United States Government declared 2009 H1N1 a Public Health Emergency of International Concern and CDC began releasing 25% of antiviral drugs needed to treat this new influenza virus from the federal stockpile.

By June 25th the “CDC estimated at least 1 million cases of 2009 H1N1 influenza had occurred in the United States.”

On July 22nd ” Clinical trials testing the 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine began.”

On September 15th ” The FDA announced its approval of four 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccines.”

On October 5th ” First doses of H1N1 vaccine were given in the U.S.”

On November 12th ” CDC released its first estimates official estimates of 2009 H1N1 cases, hospitalization and deaths.”

  • CDC estimates that between 14 million and 34 million cases of 2009 H1N1 occurred between April and October 17, 2009. The mid-level in this range is about 22 million people infected with 2009 H1N1.
  • CDC estimates that between about 63,000 and 153,000 2009 H1N1-related hospitalizations occurred between April and October 17, 2009. The mid-level in this range is about 98,000 H1N1-related hospitalizations.
  • CDC estimates that between about 2,500 and 6,000 2009 H1N1-related deaths occurred between April and October 17, 2009. The mid-level in this range is about 3,900 2009 H1N1-related deaths.

And now the timeline to date for COVID-19 the Coronavirus.

“In December 30, 2019, a cluster of patients with pneumonia of unknown etiology was observed in Wuhan, China, and reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) China bureau in Beijing.”

American Journal of Clinical Pathology

https://academic.oup.com/ajcp/advance-article/doi/10.1093/ajcp/aqaa029/5735509

“A week later, January 7, 2020, a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was isolated from these patients. This virus was initially referred to as novel coronavirus 2019 (2019-nCoV) but was given the official name of COVID-19 by the WHO on February 11, 2020.”

American Journal of Clinical Pathology

https://academic.oup.com/ajcp/advance-article/doi/10.1093/ajcp/aqaa029/5735509

On January 12th, “China shared the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus on 12 January, which will be of great importance for other countries to use in developing specific diagnostic kits.”

World Health Organization

https://www.who.int/csr/don/12-january-2020-novel-coronavirus-china/en/

On January 30th WHO Declares “public health emergency of international concern.”

On January 31st HHS declares “Public Health Emergency for United States.”

https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2020/01/31/secretary-azar-declares-public-health-emergency-us-2019-novel-coronavirus.html

On January 31st White House issues suspension of entry of foreign nationals who were present in China for the 14 day period preceding their entry into the United States.

I’m curious.

If a vaccine were available, how many would opt to take it?

I know I wouldn’t.

Not me. I don’t take flu shots and I’m sure as hell not going to volunteer for whatever vaccine they might put forward for this one.

The last time I had a flu shot, maybe 10 years ago, I got it early and I got the flu. There was months of lag time. It was useless, at best I know. I lost all faith the the flu vaccine from then on.

From what I’ve read, the CDC makes a ton of money from all sorts of patents they hold. I find this pretty disturbing considering the taxpayers fund them.

From my perspective, whatever they discover naturally belongs to the US population. They can patent things but all proceeds from those patents should go back to the population, not their budgets or kickbacks to their employees or discoverers.

The fact that flu vaccines are notoriously ineffective and that the CDC promotes them while making a profit on that promotion smacks of a clear conflict of interest.

I’ve been following the research from a different point of view and that is why I asked Admin is we could have an interactive discussion with J.C., who is researching this like any father of a three-year-old child who has a PhD and is a skilled research biologist.

He doesn’t have a lot of spare time, which is why he bikes to blog and doesn’t sit to do it a lot.

But, he grasps that some of these questions need answers. He doesn’t have them all, but he has some and some adds to what the rest of us have.

I am doing a Vaccination video right now. Shooting all this week, should be up Thursday/Friday.

Be well, folks.

I don’t take the Flu shot either, for whatever that’s worth.

Just now, over on another Corona thread, I responded to an article posted by the commenter “Swimologist” that predicted full global saturation of COVID-19 by “May 17 or May 18, 2020”.

The author of that article, furthermore, advised the readers as follows:

You need to prepare food supplies for a three-month “indoor stay-cation,” and what may follow.

But here’s the deal with that: Have you ever been caught in the rain and drenched to the point it was of no use trying to keep your clothes dry any longer? Because at that point, what difference does it make.

Or stated more clearly: if everyone has the virus, then why quarantine? And if things actually progress to that extent, I suspect it will be the attitude of many, if not most, Americans.

It will get to that point. It will become a normal threat. It will become a known that is a lot less scary than other knowns. Again, we can’t predict the timing. Some sort of martial law is the biggest threat, but then again I don’t like California, so let them do it.

Possibly one reason may be that you can be re-infected with the virus. There is no immunity from getting it again and by all accounts, second time around is a killer for the heart.

Is there one example from verified medical science of reinfection being worse and potentially deadly? This is outside everything I have ever heard. And even if it is true, yuge if, what ya gonna do about it? Might as well live well today instead of letting the Establishment condition you by fear. Humanity will survive in some form. Oh, but it’s not about us. Never was, but me loves your souls muh bruddas! Let’s not be herded by secular shepherds, shall we?

UPDATE: Well, shit, dengue fever. Nevertheless, my analysis still stands except that we would want to buy time to get the vaccine if COVID-19 is all that and a bag of dengue chips. One thing I know, subjugation is heavy and getting heavier. I’m not a headless chicken on this shit anymore.

UPDATE 2: “She stressed, however, that the finding doesn’t explain all cases of severe dengue disease. In fact, some people develop the severe form the first time they are infected.” The updates are repealed and the original stands alone except with the caveat that there could be a little something to it. I don’t think there is a case for reliably terminal escalation of reinfections. It sucks to die. So what.

The Chinese are fighting round two of this pandemic. I assume their logic is like fighting a fire by removing one of the 3 elements; heat, oxygen or fuel. You assume the fire will burn out eventually when there is no more fuel. I can’t say you are wrong, logically speaking. You make perfect sense. But you may be missing something crucial.

Your statement about Uncola missing something crucial may be missing something crucial. It’s possible that anything is possible; therefore, I’m right and everyone should do what I say.

OT: Speaking of timelines (https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/09/10-year-treasury-yield-plunges.html):

“The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield broke below 0.5% for the first time ever as coronavirus fears, coupled with an all-out oil price war, sent investors flocking to safer government bonds.”

“Adding to stress is a shocking all-out oil price war after OPEC talks collapsed last week.”

“The Federal Reserve slashed interest rates by half a percentage point last week in between its policy meetings, the first such emergency cut since the financial crisis.”

tl;dr – Irrational Exuberance. Sheep gonna herd. Credit gonna cred. Bubble gonna pop. The day is coming when it will make more sense for non-bureacrats to cease the wealth around them rather than work or rely on welfare. Will be sweet. Thanks to Mssr. Corona for making it sweeter. The inversion has neva been wrong, and it’s not wrong now.
