The Coronavirus Hoax

Guest Post by Ron Paul

Governments love crises because when the people are fearful they are more willing to give up freedoms for promises that the government will take care of them. After 9/11, for example, Americans accepted the near-total destruction of their civil liberties in the PATRIOT Act’s hollow promises of security.

It is ironic to see the same Democrats who tried to impeach President Trump last month for abuse of power demanding that the Administration grab more power and authority in the name of fighting a virus that thus far has killed less than 100 Americans.

Declaring a pandemic emergency on Friday, President Trump now claims the power to quarantine individuals suspected of being infected by the virus and, as Politico writes, “stop and seize any plane, train or automobile to stymie the spread of contagious disease.” He can even call out the military to cordon off a US city or state.

State and local authoritarians love panic as well. The mayor of Champaign, Illinois, signed an executive order declaring the power to ban the sale of guns and alcohol and cut off gas, water, or electricity to any citizen. The governor of Ohio just essentially closed his entire state.

The chief fearmonger of the Trump Administration is without a doubt Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. Fauci is all over the media, serving up outright falsehoods to stir up even more panic. He testified to Congress that the death rate for the coronavirus is ten times that of the seasonal flu, a claim without any scientific basis.

On Face the Nation, Fauci did his best to further damage an already tanking economy by stating, “Right now, personally, myself, I wouldn’t go to a restaurant.” He has pushed for closing the entire country down for 14 days.

Over what? A virus that has thus far killed just over 5,000 worldwide and less than 100 in the United States? By contrast, tuberculosis, an old disease not much discussed these days, killed nearly 1.6 million people in 2017. Where’s the panic over this?

If anything, what people like Fauci and the other fearmongers are demanding will likely make the disease worse. The martial law they dream about will leave people hunkered down inside their homes instead of going outdoors or to the beach where the sunshine and fresh air would help boost immunity. The panic produced by these fearmongers is likely helping spread the disease, as massive crowds rush into Walmart and Costco for that last roll of toilet paper.

The madness over the coronavirus is not limited to politicians and the medical community. The head of the neoconservative Atlantic Council wrote an editorial this week urging NATO to pass an Article 5 declaration of war against the COVID-19 virus! Are they going to send in tanks and drones to wipe out these microscopic enemies?

People should ask themselves whether this coronavirus “pandemic” could be a big hoax, with the actual danger of the disease massively exaggerated by those who seek to profit – financially or politically – from the ensuing panic.

That is not to say the disease is harmless. Without question people will die from coronavirus. Those in vulnerable categories should take precautions to limit their risk of exposure. But we have seen this movie before. Government over-hypes a threat as an excuse to grab more of our freedoms. When the “threat” is over, however, they never give us our freedoms back.

In this world of panic, Ron Paul gives an interesting perspective. While I’ve been doing my own share of hoarding, I mean stocking up, the 1% number keeps running through my mind. If only 1% die from this virus than those are pretty good odds. Plus we hear these horror stories about doctors in critical condition with the virus and 16-year olds getting the virus, etc., etc. If you wanted to stoke fear in the population, those are the types of stories you would put out there.

Maybe we can get Ron Paul and Chris Martenson to debate. I trust both those guys but they seem to be saying opposite things. I do know that when the dust settles we will be in another Great Depression and the federal government will control the entire economy. That’s not good for the dirt people but I expect it will be very, very good for the cloud people.

These are indeed strange times.

The federal government already controls the entire economy. What else would you call a central committee setting interest rates and printing endless amounts of currency.

The alternative to this would be a free market. So if things change, that’s what we’ll get. And we just might since “more of the same” doesn’t appear to be working this time.

This country and its people are in a deep pool of crap & they are to busy panicking to see it. These control measures are taking in a very bad direction in my opinion. I hope people slow down enough to pull together and push back before we get to the point of total chaos and rioting.

What is happening world wide is only possible because the average individual agrees that he is subordinate to some asshat politician and some paid stooge with a gun.

If people decide that they individually are sovereign and that no one had the right to tell them what to do, all gov’ts would fail. It’s the brain dead that vote and clamor for more tyranny that are the cause of this gov’t madness.

The same sort of thing is happening in South America: Argentina, Perú, Chile… borders are closing. I’m over 70, which makes me an official shut-in, except that I’m a wild, adventurous and daring old duffer, just a rebel and I’ll never ever be any good, so I go off the property and walk to the grocery store (Chinese, even here in the boons) to pick up some milk, pretty much all alone in the shop; no shortages as of this morning.

My take on this varies, but I’m coming to conclude that this “pandemic” and the measures taken to “contain” it are a dress rehearsal for a much more serious series of events in a not-too-distant future. Anyone able to leave residence in cities or suburbs won’t want to be in those for the main event.

Could be the paradigm shift is beginning and the era of unlimited “growth” is coming to an end. I act on that assumption. Long-term zen practice provides a solid base for me, although my daughter-in-law is a Christian believer. My son pays lip service to Christianity, as he should, but is a silent taoist. He and I are teaching her austerity and it’s working.

Assuming we all survive this pandemic, we believe that by the time the main event rolls around we’ll be as ready as possible for it by putting the finishing touches on a smallholding that will be quite productive of foodstuffs both animal and vegetable. Fruits too.

But one thing we all believe: something wicked this way comes if it hasn’t already arrived.

However, people are almost identical to ‘four-legged wool’ and allow themselves to be rounded up by the ‘owner’ to be shaved and / or slaughtered, again and again and again. The hope that sheep on two legs will understand what you so brilliantly are saying here, is therefore very marginal. 😉

I appreciate Ron’s perspective, this does have a very weird and scripted pattern, we went from a free society last week to a panicked heard over the weekend.

Tell me something: How do local county executives all repeat the same words and deeds, within a 48 hour window? The county to the west of us, locked down on Friday, our county locked down on Saturday, the whole state locked down by this morning (I’m in Upstate NY). I think we might have 3 cases in our county, and western county has 10? I’m sure NYC has a lot of un-diagnosed cases, but NYC is like another country, 4 hours away.

It doesn’t add up.
Add this to the list:

Today Silver and gold tank, silver plunge to outrages $11 oz, (lets go buy some now!!!)

Last week, I could still get silver eagles for about $20 from most online coin sites,
this week, some are just “sold out” and others are only selling expensive rare birds.

“silver just went to $11, that’s less that what we paid for our stock, close the store and wait this one out”

And now they are mulling over shutting down the taverns and restaurants,
you know what is coming next:
Travel restrictions and check points.

It is going to get ugly, real quick, once you take away the ability to blow off steam, from modern society.

What we’ve been seeing at the stores is more people like us, worrying about those that might be panicking and wiping things out. Not really a lot of real panic, just people knowing that they’re supposed to be. “Weird and scripted” is exactly how I feel.

It’s always the same people. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the John Hopkin’s folks, et al. And now Billy Gates’ work is done. Right on schedule. Like clockwork.

Bill Gates withdraws from Microsoft board to become a full-time philanthropist

After 44 years of founding the company

March 14, 2020

And Ron Paul nails it above. This really takes the cake:

The chief fearmonger of the Trump Administration is without a doubt Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. Fauci is all over the media, serving up outright falsehoods to stir up even more panic. Complete with a cherry on top:

…. When the “threat” is over, however, they never give us our freedoms back.

I know some kids in Florida for Spring Break. The bars are closed and now they are talking of closing the beaches too. The beaches… salt-water and sunlight… probably the most toxic environment for COVID-19 imaginable.

Oh well. And so it goes…

Jdog
Jdog
March 16, 2020 8:30 pm

I like Ron Paul, but he is off the mark on this one. When investigating any type of a “scheme” the first question any professional investigator wants answered is who would profit from this. The old adage, follow the money and you find the truth is almost always accurate. So lets look at this situation logically. Who is profiting from the fear of the Coronavirus? Outside of those selling toilet paper, and hand sanitizer, not anyone.
Major corporations run Washington DC with their lobbyists openly writing legislation and dictating to elected officials what positions they will take. They know if they want to continue getting the generous campaign contributions that keep their butts in their cushy jobs they must do what ever their handlers tell them.
So how is Corporate America doing in this crisis? In short they are getting monkeyhammered. Not only are their sales going south, their stock prices along with the CEO’s salaries and futures are vanishing before their eyes.
Some of the largest corporations in the world are running to max out their credit lines in fear they do not have enough cash to get them though this crisis.
When you add this all up the theory of this being a scheme does not really make any sense. The elected politicians are hired whores, who pander to Corporate America, if they dared to do something that damaged corporate profits it would be political suicide.
Next, you have to look at the effects this virus is having worldwide, among our friends and enemies alike we are seeing total devastation to business on all levels. Are they in on this “scheme” that benefits no one?
What kind of effect is this “scheme” going to have on Government itself? Is the loss of trillions of dollars of income going to increase tax receipts? Is it going to help governments with their struggling budgets? Is it going to put voters in the mood to pass new taxes or support new projects?
Perhaps there is something I am missing here, but I am just not seeing how this crisis is benefiting anyone. All I see is everyone getting screwed.
Oh and by the way, the total control Ron thinks they are after…. They already have.

However, it’s plain to anybody here that the bigwigs are not philanthropists, they would sell your soul if they could make a profit. Yet, they are purportedly sacrificing 1/4 to a year’s business to save a few lives? No wonder Rubber Ducky smells a rat; fuck a duck, the deniers will have us walking blindly into a trap.

The “powers that be” are not philanthropists, and that is what should worry you. If they are willing to sacrifice this kind of money, then they are really worried. If they could let this thing run its course and it only killed a few million, they would do a cost benefit analysis, and come to the conclusion that it would be more profitable to downplay the danger and keep people out there spending money. For them to basically shut down the entire planet for months, they are scared shitless, they know something about this thing we don’t ……

The Federal Reserve is owned by its member banks. The banks are going to lose big from this. While it is true they will be recapitalized, their default rate on loans will skyrocket. In addition loan activity going forward will suffer badly as the economy craters and people learn the downside of excessive debt.

Things we know. The virus is engineered as a bio weapon; the only question is was it an accidental or planned release. The timing suggests planned, as it was dispersed just prior to the Chinese New Year for maximum global distribution.

On the surface, it looks far less harmful than the 12,000 plus deaths during the swine flu twenty or so years ago, which at the time did not come close to the hysteria/lock downs we see today. But if you couple the timing with the latest attempts to keep the market afloat, the flu is looking a lot like a cover for an economic meltdown down that is now taking place. If this is the case, we are in a free fall and things will not be returning to normalcy for years or decades; if ever.

So take a deep breath, expect a few more surprises along the way that will seal our fate and use your discernment to take your stand when the straw that breaks the camels back of your loss of freedoms crosses that line in the sand that only you will be able to define. Work out your options within your community, as comms will be one of the many dominoes to fall as we drift into whatever direction this train wreck is going to take.

The lesson will become increasingly harsh until people learn.

…or until the system collapses, before people have learnt.

When I see politicians dropping dead from the Kung Flu, then I might start to believe.

Jazzy, I can see no other reason for their concern. It’s either a convenient way to usher in totalitarianism, preclude a revolt or they are just trying to keep from getting infected by the hoi-polloi. I suspect the last because they are sacrificing a lot of businesses with this shut down.

I had suggested to Maggito back in January that losing China was like a plane losing one engine in mid flight. If I was implying a rough landing, she didn’t react so I thought I was being over-dramatic

The denial of reality in America today is unbelievable. I believe this is in large part due to the average persons inability to think critically. The “truthers” believe there is a giant conspiracy to rob them of their freedoms and impose totalitarian rule.
I have news for you. We already have totalitarian rule, you are simply in a state of denial. You are not free. The government can shut you down at any time for any reason. Just ask Assange. Freedom ended in the US in 1913. The world today is only concerned with money, and keeping the masses generating money. Every decision is based on profit and the way to maximize it.
What we see happening today is not a conspiracy, it is not possible to have a conspiracy on this scale and to get all the governments of the world to cooperate in it. This is a fuckup. This is a oh shit. This is an example of humans technical expertise getting way ahead of its ability to think rationally. This is government showing just how incompetent they really are, and why we really should not entrust them with our confidence. So please see this thing for what it is and try not to make it any worse than it already is.

I think so too. The problem is not the problem , but how people react to said problem. I myself was inclined to buy more of what I could yesterday at Costco, because I am responding to a ‘reality’ created by others.

How I wish I had become a Q-tard way back when so that I could understand or even know what is going on. AOC said the world is ending in 12. Then a Euro pipsqueak comes out of nowhere to shame us for global warming. Then the world shuts down just like that. That’s curious, isn’t it? Is she from that place where they have the world’s seed bank?

Do you recall when superman’s parents were getting ready to launch little Kal-El out into space? I love that scene. In the comics, not the movie.

I always look for conspiracy but how does everyone explain what is happening in Italy?

I read an article by a doctor who contributes Italy to their taking aspirin or Ibuprofen to reduce fever, which will make the patient worse.

You can always find a kernel of truth. The bottom line is this was created in a laboratory and turned loose intentionally.
