In a recent interview, Dr. Ron Paul opined on his son Rand, who has tested positive for the coronavirus. Dr. Paul said that the dangers of the coronavirus have been “blown way out of proportion” and some people benefit from crises, like politicians who want more power.
Dr. Paul begins his interview with Lior Gantz of the Wealth Research Group saying Rand Paul had no symptoms of the virus and is feeling fine, like the majority of people who have gotten. Many are already immune and have been exposed without showing any signs. “I think millions of people have probably had the infection and still do,” says Dr. Paul.
“But it’s used by an excuse by those who have a special interest…and I think that is sad.”
The problem is that this crisis was blown up so some people (the ruling class) could expand and broaden their power over the public, and Dr. Paul says hopefully, the masses will “wake up soon” to what the government is doing to them and their future.
“Somebody is making political use out of this and it’s [the political usage of the coronavirus] is out of control,” Dr. Paul (an OBYN) added.
Just look at who has been hurt the most so far: the poorest Americans in service industries that the ruling class demanded to shut down. Dr. Paul says the only real danger is the government’s expansion of power and the already sick or elderly who will get the coronavirus. But that danger to our susceptible population already exists and has for years in the form of colds and several strains of the flu, so the panic and shut down is unwarranted. Unless you want more power and totalitarian control.
Both Dr. Paul and Mr. Gantz have been long-time liberty and free-market champions, and this interview is a must-watch if you consider yourself anything other than a slave to the government. Both men are calling out the power-hungry ruling class, something the majority of Americans have not done.

“The people who love control, even local officials [such as governors who canceled school or shut down economies in their states] love the power that they’re getting from this,” says Dr. Paul. These power-hungry politicians love putting the public under threats of arrest if they dare balk at the power grab of these politicians.
Even in what used to be liberty-minded states like Wyoming, the governor has threatened martial law saying he has the power to use law enforcement to issue a “shelter in place order” (martial law). And that’s in a state with 53 confirmed cases, 7 confirmed recoveries, and NO DEATHS from COVID-19.
“I hope the American people wake up and realize it’s [the coronavirus] not quite as they [authoritarian tyrants] describe it,” adds Dr. Paul. “This economic crisis is government-made.” The real danger is the federal and local governments’ overreaction to this outbreak. Unfortunately, this is happening world-wide, and the poorest people, will once again, be hurt the most financially by their government’s “solutions,” but we’re all going to lose most of what’s left our basic human rights.

As usual, Ron is totally right about the encroaching tyranny. As to the disease itself, I honestly don’t know if one thing I’ve heard or read about it is true; if this is a disinformation campaign, it’s absolutely brilliant.

There are no big lines here at the stores, but there is a sense of everyone moving slowly so as to not touch anyone or anything. It is difficult to guage social distance when passing in a grocery aisle.
The toilet paper thing is nonsense. As I said, I sometimes drop trow and go by the rabbit hutches.
Crazy.
People are still buying all of the frozen meals and ice cream and leaving rice and beans.
All of the boxed cereals were picked over and the instant oatmeal packets were gone. There were plenty of old fashioned oats in those big canisters nobody buys anymore.
I bought the last four 5 lb bags of Epsom salt and hit the road. Oh, and the bottled water was all gone but the big 5 liter tubs were sitting there. People don’t realize you can refill bottles,I guess.
All the isopropyl alcohol was gone but the cheap Vodka in plastic bottles was pretty much untouched and that has dual purpose as anesthesia since it hasn’t been POISONED like isopropyl alcohol.
And, just to get people thinking? My husband asked the pharmacist what the difference in Horse dewormer and dog dewormer is and the pharmacist said dose size…

I don’t think it’s a surprise that the US government is trying to exploit the situation here, in various ways – look at all the absurd crap they shoveled into their ‘relief’ bill – but downplaying the severity of this disease isn’t rational, either.
As we are now politically correct and calling it corvid -19 my 1st ? is what happened with 1-18,did they not kill folks well enough?
My 2nd ? is in these times when economy will be a lot tougher should I finish getting my degree in post modern/afro-centric/under water lesbian basket weaving for a better shot at good jobs?
I said here on TBP from the very start of this debacle that I would get scared if Ron Paul did and once again he stands like a Stonewall in the face of tyranny. It’s largely because of him that I own precious metals, had an emergency inventory for when THEY destroyed the economy and studied Austrian economic theory. I’ve paid attention to him for 50 years and he’s never let me down-not once. It’s like all these years I had a guarding angel on my shoulder.
And this fucked up country passed up on him in favor of shit romney and mcshitstain. Goddam pathetic.
Dr. Paul’s books are also well worth reading . I have learned much from them.
Scott Horton has a book out on all of his interviews with Ron going back years. Only this amazing man could, not only stand, but shine recalling his ideas of years ago. We’re in the presents of a sage.
He was robbed by the establishment / media.
A guy I worked with was a member of the Republican caucus for his county. When they met to nominate their presidential candidate, something like 7 out of the total 8 (going from memory, so may not be exact) were wearing Ron Paul T-shirts. They voted by secret ballot, as required. The Republican official in charge then “counted” the votes and announced Romney had won.
Pretty much the same thing went on in county and state conventions all across the nation. Santorum was robbed as well (but never really cared about freedom or liberty).
And that’s why I don’t bother to vote anymore after I watched them steal Dr. Paul’s nomination.
I agree with Ron, but Robert Gore’s math is just as dangerous.
Robert Gore is making fighting the government overreach an almost impossible task because he is equipping irrational people with utterly broken information.
Which means their efforts to attack the government overreach are easy to discredit and discard.

Ron Paul’s main problem is that he thinks most people are as moral and honest as he is.

I say it when I think Ron’s libertarian logic leads him off the deep end. I will say it when his constitutional logic leads him to be right. He is right about this. We are watching the death throes of the American Constitutional Republic.

Call me paranoid but it sure looks like a bioweapon to me. of course the criminals in DC don’t let a crisis go to waste and they figure out how to steal money. Just think, it will probably get worse. more debt! How long can we live with it?
It depends on how much inflation results after this mad scheme. Hyperinflation is not off the table. Neither is a complete collapse of the monetary system.
