End the Shutdown; It’s Time for Resurrection!

Guest Post by Ron Paul

For many millions of Christians, Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Others may celebrate the arrival of spring and the promise of new life. Whatever one’s beliefs, after several weeks of mandatory “stay at home” orders and the complete shutdown of the US economy over the coronavirus, this self-destructive hysteria must end and we must reclaim the freedom and liberty that has provided us so much opportunity as Americans.

To do that we should first understand that much of the hysteria is being generated by a mainstream media that has long prioritized sensationalism over investigating and reporting the truth. Government bureaucrats are also exaggerating the threat of this virus and appear to be enjoying the power and control that fearful people are willingly handing over to them. One “coronavirus” bureaucrat even told us that we can no longer go to the grocery store! So we should just starve?

It is certainly possible to believe that this virus can be dangerous while at the same time pointing out that radical steps are being taken in our society – stay-at-home orders, introduction of de facto martial law, etc. – with very little knowledge of just how deadly is this disease.

On March 24th, the CDC issued an alert stating that doctors should classify “probable COVID-19” or “likely COVID-19” as Covid-19 deaths. Perhaps that explains the seeming drop-off of pneumonia deaths this year and the simultaneous spike in Covid-19 deaths as some researchers have reported.

The BBC reported last week that, “At present in the US, any death of a Covid-19 patient, no matter what the physician believes to be the direct cause, is counted for public reporting as a Covid-19 death.”

Does that sound like a scientifically sound way of determining how deadly Covid-19 really is?

What is most dangerous is that although this virus will eventually disappear, the assault on our civil liberties is not likely to be reversed. From this point on, whenever local officials, county officials, state governors, or federal bureaucrats decide there is sufficient reason to suspend the Constitution they will not hesitate to do so. Anyone who challenges the suspension of the Constitution “for our own good” will be labeled “unpatriotic” and perhaps even reported to the authorities. We have already seen hotlines springing up across the country for Americans to report other Americans who dare venture outside to enjoy the sun and build up their vitamin D protection against the coronavirus.

The government is justified in cancelling the Constitution, we are told, because we are in an emergency situation caused by the Covid-19 virus. But do people forget that the Constitution itself was written and adopted while we were in an “emergency situation”?

Did the framers of the Constitution fail to add an 11th Amendment to the Bill of Rights saying, “oh by the way, none of this counts if we get sick”? Of course not! Those who wrote our Constitution understood that these rights are not granted by the government, but rather by our Creator. Thus it was never a question as to when or under what conditions they could be suspended: the government had no authority to suspend them at all because it did not grant them in the first place.

Our country is far less at risk from the coronavirus than it is from the thousands of small and large authoritarians who have suddenly flexed their muscles across the country. President Trump would do well to end this ridiculous shutdown so that Americans can get on with their lives and get back to work.

Americans should remember the tyrants who locked them down next time they go to the ballot box. Let’s demand an end to the shutdown so we can resurrect our economy, our lives, and our liberties!

This is straight from the CDC:

COVID-19 Alert No. 2March 24, 2020 New ICD code introduced for COVID-19 deathsThis email is to alert you that a newly-introduced ICD code has been implemented to accurately capture mortality data for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on death certificates. Please read carefully and forward this email to the state statistical staff in your office who are involved in the preparation of mortality data, as well as others who may receive questions when the data are released. What is the new code? The new ICD code for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is U07.1, and below is how it will appear in formal tabular list format. U07.1 COVID-19Excludes: Coronavirus infection, unspecified site (B34.2) Severe acute respiratory syndrome [SARS], unspecified (U04.9) The WHO has provided a second code, U07.2, for clinical or epidemiological diagnosis of COVID-19 where a laboratory confirmation is inconclusive or not available. Because laboratory test results are not typically reported on death certificates in the U.S., NCHS is not planning to implement U07.2 for mortality statistics. When will it be implemented? Immediately. Will COVID-19 be the underlying cause? The underlying cause depends upon what and where conditions are reported on the death certificate. However, the rules for coding and selection of the underlying cause of death are expected to result in COVID-19 being the underlying cause more often than not. What happens if certifiers report terms other than the suggested terms? If a death certificate reports coronavirus without identifying a specific strain or explicitly specifying that it is not COVID-19, NCHS will ask the states to follow up to verify whether or not the coronavirus was COVID-19. As long as the phrase used indicates the 2019 coronavirus strain, NCHS expects to assign the new code. However, it is preferable and more straightforward for certifiers to use the standard terminology (COVID-19). What happens if the terms reported on the death certificate indicate uncertainty? If the death certificate reports terms such as “probable COVID-19” or “likely COVID-19,” these terms would be assigned the new ICD code. It Is not likely that NCHS will follow up on these cases. If “pending COVID-19 testing” is reported on the death certificate, this would be considered a pending record. In this scenario, NCHS would expect to receive an updated record, since the code will likely result in R99. In this case, NCHS will ask the states to follow up to verify if test results confirmed that the decedent had COVID-19. Do I need to make any changes at the jurisdictional level to accommodate the new ICD code? Not necessarily, but you will want to confirm that your systems and programs do not behave as if U07.1 is an unknown code. Should “COVID-19” be reported on the death certificate only with a confirmed test?COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death. Certifiers should include as much detail as possible based on their knowledge of the case, medical records, laboratory testing, etc. If the decedent had other chronic conditions such as COPD or asthma that may have also contributed, these conditions can be reported in Part II. Refer to the last paragraph in which the CDC approves of “guessing” in order to increase the COVID-19 numbers. Dishonest?? You make the call…

I agree with Ron Paul 100%, The problem is, the rot is to deep, it has entered the minds of the majority.
people are willing to give up there 1st amendment right to assemble, what is next???

I have a friends of different collars (white collar, blue collar) all my blue collar friend understand this is a compete over reaction, and that there is some agenda at work by TPTB.

my white collar friends seem to have bought into this hook line and sinker, some refuse to socialize, others will ask “it is ok if I remain 6 ft away when I come over?”

I really can’t wrap my head around the dichotomy,
it is as if common sense has been replaced with hysteria

“Hysteria, in the colloquial use of the term, means ungovernable emotional excess.”

Hysteria comes from the Greek root hystera, meaning ‘uterus.’

Great etymology. I’m using that. I don’t think the white collar/blue collar division is so different. Different sheeple have different triggers. White collars have savings and can afford to go along to get along. I’m sure plenty of blue collars would spend American blood and treasure on spreading democracy, etc., etc. because they already do. Every dumbfuck has a narrative.

Everyone here knows people on the financial margins will be faced with a choice of paying bills or choosing to eat.
No job, no income.
The alternative is empty bank accounts or run up debt on credit. I know of bank runs in Baltimore and lines at food banks. I personally think it’s highly ironic the the virus-inspired lockdowns and financial crises managed be be delayed until a major election year. It isn’t a coincidence, folks, and everyone shoulda had food, guns, and metal saved ahead of time.

Once again Isreal is the big winner. Self quarantine immune compromised people and let everyone else develop heard immunity as soon as possible.

Other potential winners Brazil and Mexico .

The numbers just won’t be there for the LEFT. Too much Science. THe LEFT didn’t get the total lockdown of everyone on the globe to HIDE their true agenda.

Once more The Man stands tall. Easter would be a great time to raise a middle finger to our overlords and attend church en mass. I haven’t been in a church service in decades but I’m game.

I was just thinking the same thing.

On 12 April 2020, we the people of the United States no longer recognize the quarantine dictums of local, state and federal agencies. We being free people, choose this day to end any and all quarantine measures and will reopen our stores and return to work as appropriate of a free and independent people.

Now to get it viral.

“Let’s demand an end to the shutdown so we can resurrect our economy, our lives, and our liberties!”

All you cucks read that and applauded. The police demand. Your wife demands. You can’t demand save in the insanity of your narrative bliss. Voting is not demanding, it’s conceding.
