U.S.—The stay-at-home orders most states have issued have caused a big change in family dynamics, as now many men who were out of the house and unavailable to help with daily chores are now home and available to carefully supervise.
“I didn’t realize how much my wife did each day,” said David Lloyd, an accountant. “And she did it all without my input and helpful criticisms. Well, that’s changed now.”
Evan Norman, a computer programmer, agreed. “Now is a time for me to finally help at home, by making sure everything gets done right,” said Norman. “Since the quarantine started, I’ve constantly paused my video game to give helpful suggestions on cleaning the house and handling the kids.”
Experts do not know how much this increased supervision has increased the productivity of wives, as they have all just glared angrily in response to questions and have reminded us that, with this coronavirus, we should keep our distance.

All of that supervision also increases the social distance husbands and wives exhibit while in bed together.

Men and women are different and see things from different perspectives.
Keep in mind that women have an extreme attention to detail while men look at the big picture.
Quite often this results in friction and criticism from the woman for not doing the task her way.
Attempting to help with household tasks can result in criticism from the woman of the house until an understanding is reached. The division of labor is there for a reason.
I have absolutely no problem in helping my significant other by doing household tasks, but do draw the line if and when my efforts are unjustly criticized. We always come to an accommodation without argument or other means.
If accommodation cannot be reached, that is when it is time to walk away from the task and let her do it herself.
My dad did all the food and clothes shopping for the kids. He criticized my mom so much she finally told him to go f-off and do it himself..He did. She was happy. He was happy. And we were happy.
