Anyone who did not question the original statement does not use critical thinking. There is a reason Dr. & Nurses wear masks and if it works for them, it stands to reason it will work for us, too.
“Masks only protect medical personnel” is sort of the same logic as “only cops need guns”.
But assume for a minute that it’s true. Couldn’t an organization that has “Disease Control” in its name have sent an email to all the nation’s doctors and hospitals saying, “in an effort to control disease in the event of an epidemic or pandemic, make sure you have a really good stockpile of masks on hand. We get billions and billions of dollars to control disease, so if you need financial help to stock up on masks, we can sure give you a few bucks. Let’s all of us do our best to control disease!!! The US surgeon general said masks possibly increase the risk of contracting the virus. Jerome Adams then at a later date demonstrated using a bandana with “got naloxone” on the shirt. He implied a bandana was as good as a mask. Good grief, another wholly incompetent minority hire. It was embarrassing. I don’t think even his mama could be proud of those performances.
