The dotted line on the chart below indicates the current trend of beds needed for COVID-19 in New York.
At present, only 18,279 are in use.
The professional forecasters all projected that beds would be a multiple of the beds actually needed.
Notice not one model came in under the actual number.
These are all professional fearmongers who alarmed the country about a virus that appears to be in line with a severe flu season.
Can they really be that incompetent?
Some may be but I called the evil Tony Fauci out a month ago on his phony projections: Why is Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Lying to Congress and the American People?

Shouldn’t the leadership of all levels of governance, live by the same rules as they are asking of us? You know LEAD FROM THE FRONT?
Let’s turn off their salaries, release their PSDs, revoke their DHS IDs and travel papers. Command that they conduct business from home. Maybe then some sanity would return to their decisions. Other solutions may be preferable.

The 2 Trillion dollar Coronavirus emergency relief package that was going to get money to taxpayers. Remember? The banks got theirs, the SBA got theirs (and both have run out and need moar) but I don’t know of any living human taxpayer that got theirs.

I got my state and federal tax refunds this week. About ten weeks after e-filing. Just in time for X% purchasing power loss caused by the dilution of the free money.

There are some interesting numbers coming out if Iceland. The only country doing full scale testing. They are not only testing those who ask to be tested due to symptoms they are also using the phonebook to do random testing of people. What they have found is over 50% are asymptotic, the infection rate is 0.6-0.8% of the population. They have 1600 confirmed cases and 6 deaths. Iceland has not locked down but has limited groups to less than 20. The numbers out of NYC are also of interest, 83% of deaths had one or more of hypertension, diabetes, or heart disease. Age over 70 was 53%. I suspect age is secondary to the other comorbidities. Those in advanced years have more of the comorbidities and thus higher death rate. The problem being general health in the western world sucks and it isn’t PC to say fat people have health issues.
The so called “experts” always err on the side that benefits them the most. With Globull warming and the beer flu it is doomsday just around the corner. With budgets and government programs, they always underestimate the cost and overestimate the benefits.
They are bureaucrats and it is what they do.
