An Analysis of COVID19 Related Deaths in the State of Texas as of April 10, 2020

By SmallerGovNow @ TheBurningPlatform.com

On April 10, 2020 Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that there were 221 deaths in the State of Texas caused by (or related to) the Corona Virus. What was absent from this announcement, and what I find most troubling, were figures for the TOTAL number of deaths in Texas from all causes.

The latest data available on the TexasHealth and Human Services website shows that in 2015 there were 189,166 deaths from all causes in the State of Texas. Over the ten year period from 2006 to 2015 there was an average annual increase of 3,264 deaths in Texas (naturally occurring due to population increases over the same period). See source data below*.

Extrapolating to 2020 (based on this historical data) we should expect to see approximately 205,486 total deaths in the State of Texas. Using this figure and the number of days since the beginning of the year, there should be approximately 56,714 deaths as of April 10th when Governor Abbott made his announcement (205,486 x (101days/366 days) = 56,714).

Conclusion: The percentage of the estimated number of deaths due to COVID19 in the State of Texas is (221 CV Deaths / 56,714 Estimated Total Deaths) x 100% = 0.39%

While all deaths are tragic for those involved, it defies any logic or common sense that our State, or by extension our country, should be shut down. While the societal costs, loss freedoms, and the negative impacts to our economy have yet to be quantified, it is obvious to any thinking person that the “cure” is far worse than the disease.

Please note that the above analysis does not even mention the fact that there is NO consensus of medical opinion that the “social distancing” measures are warranted nor proper. One need only perform an internet search to access a plethora of videos from highly educated doctors and specialists disputing the recommendations from Doctors Fauci and Birx. In fact, many are of the opinion that the social distancing is making matters worse in that it will not permit the natural herd immunity to take place.

Please END THIS. Our liberty, freedoms, and economy are all at risk of vanishing forever.

End it? Shoot, these boys are just getting started! It seems to me that the level of confused desperation that our globalist -psycho rulers feel is needed before they can completely break us is not yet high enough. Completely destroying 30% of our (admittedly phony) economy is not enough. Lying to us about Coronavirus® deaths that aren’t has not scared people enough. Mandating that people literally sit alone in their homes (cells, really) has not been quite miserable enough. They tried to make us riot over toilet paper “shortages”. and that did not work. Next up is going to managed shortages of food. Stories about sick-outs closing meatpackers, and vegetables/dairy turned over in the field for lack of an institutional market are the warning shots. In less than 2 weeks, groceries are going to be pretty hard to get. Look for something (maybe from the US Dept. of Transportation) to get truckers off the road as well.

Oddly enough, the hispanic illegals are still landscaping and building. I wonder if they will get their Trumpy checks? I guess we don’t want them to be sitting around in their homes (4 or 5 to a room), broke, and stewing about who is to blame. These boys came from nations with genuine revolutionary shit going on, we would not want them putting that knowledge to work here. And maybe the South of the Border illegal crowd just does not do social distancing. We shall see.

That is a lot of meat offline.

Lots of po’ folks are still working, it’s a matter of eating or not eating. Meanwhile, you have a paid vacation from your work or from unemployment benefits. News reports are that Hispanics and blacks are getting hit hard. Maybe we can blame it, as Uncola would say, on underlying issues, like being non-white, who knows?

You have no worries, you will get your Trumpy check. I doubt I will because I end up paying every year. The Trumpy check is an advance tax refund, it ain’t free money for everybody. I doubt illegals will all get a check since they will be deposited directly to bank accounts which, if you recall, you need to verify your identity, citizenship, mother’s maiden name and your sexual orientation.

I think the question should be, is the number of total deaths greater than the projected averages. According to the nationwide figures the answer is no. If the covid-19 virus did indeed kill anyone at all it must have killed someone who was going to die from other causes like auto accidents or cancer.

While government will always tend toward grabbing power, I don’t see this pandemic – such as it is – as a hoax or a conspiracy. It’s mostly a question of what the eventual incidence fatality rate will prove to be – and how best to balance reasonable public health measures with maintaining a functioning economy. It’s largely an arithmetic issue. I just listened to an interview with Michael Osterholm of CIDRAP (the Center for Infectious Disease Research And Policy). I find him very balanced, reasonable and listenable https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/podcasts-webinars/episode-3
Anybody who thinks this will be over in a month is probably wrong – although we all await the serological tests that may clue us in on the elusive “denominator”.

The CDC has been manipulating flu numbers for the purpose of selling vaccines for at least a decade now and low life money grubbing MDs are in on the scam and they’re doing it with Covid 19 too.

Sorry for the cut and paste , but the 2014 article partially copied below – Don’t Believe Everything You Read About Flu Death- is a must read. Americans are being lied to , and the Federal and state government are participating in the fraud. Government turns everything from education to medicine to into a g’ damn money racket… smh

Robert Kennedy Jr.: CDC Is A Privately Owned Vaccine Company

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claims the CDC owns patents on at least 57 different vaccines, and profits $4.1 billion per year in vaccination sales.

According to RFK Jr., the CDC is not an independent government agency but is actually a subsidiary of Big Pharma.

Don’t Believe Everything You Read About Flu Deaths

The CDC’s decision to play up flu deaths dates back a decade, when it realized the public wasn’t following its advice on the flu vaccine. During the 2003 flu season “the manufacturers were telling us that they weren’t receiving a lot of orders for vaccine,”Dr. Glen Nowak, associate director for communications at CDC’s National Immunization Program, told National Public Radio.

“According to the National Vital Statistics System in the U.S., for example, annual flu deaths in 2010 amounted to just 500 per year — fewer than deaths from ulcers (2,977), hernias (1,832) and pregnancy and childbirth (825), and a far cry from the big killers such as heart disease (597,689) and cancers (574,743). The story is similar in Canada, where unlikely killers likewise dwarf Statistics Canada’s count of flu deaths.

Even that 500 figure for the U.S. could be too high, according to analyses in authoritative journals such as the American Journal of Public Health and the British Medical Journal. Only about 15-20 per cent of people who come down with flu-like symptoms have the influenza virus — the other 80-85 per cent actually caught rhinovirus or other germs that are indistinguishable from the true flu without laboratory tests, which are rarely done. In 2001, a year in which death certificates listed 257 Americans as having died of flu, only 18 were positively identified as true flus. The other 239 were simply assumed to be flus and most likely had few true flus among them.

U.S. data on influenza deaths are a mess,” states a 2005 article in the British Medical Journal entitled “Are U.S. flu death figures more PR than science?” This article takes issue with the 36,000 flu-death figure commonly claimed, and with describing “influenza/pneumonia” as the seventh leading cause of death in the U.S.

“But why are flu and pneumonia bundled together?” the article asks. “Is the relationship so strong or unique to warrant characterizing them as a single cause of death?”

The article’s answer is no. Most pneumonia deaths are unrelated to influenza. For example, “stomach acid suppressing drugs are associated with a higher risk of community-acquired pneumonia, but such drugs and pneumonia are not compiled as a single statistic,” explained Dr. David Rosenthal, director of Harvard University Health Services. “People don’t necessarily die, per se, of the [flu] virus — the viraemia. What they die of is a secondary pneumonia.”

Pneumonia, according to the American Lung Association, has more than 30 different causes, influenza being but one of them. The CDC itself acknowledges the slim relationship, saying “only a small proportion of deaths… only 8.5 per cent of all pneumonia and influenza deaths [are] influenza-related.””

Thank you Chip and Doug for posting that. With the exception of Louisiana (173 deaths per million), which foolishly held Mardi Gras this year, the deaths per million across the Sun Belt are quite low compared to New York’s (440) and New Jersey’s (246). It’s not wholly a function of less urbanization either, as Texas and California both have very low rates (9 and 16 deaths per million respectively) and large cities. I think in part it’s a function of warm weather and access to sunlight, although there are several northern states with low rates as well. Remember when people scolded Trump for suggesting spring’s warm weather would lessen the severity of the coronavirus outbreak, as it does for virtually every flu virus every year? Look for US daily case numbers to peak shortly if they haven’t already, with daily death numbers to follow several days thereafter. And remember to take the case and death numbers with a shaker of salt. The test yields lots of false positives and it appears that medical personnel are under intense pressure to report any death with any plausible link to coronavirus symptoms as a coronavirus death, with no verification that the deceased was even infected other than symptoms that are common to many diseases.

In this case the “cure” is worse than the disease especially since a large part of the “cure” is totally ineffective – forcing companies to close and forcing people to stay at home except for essentials but then not properly protecting the people while they are out getting the essentials by not doing sufficient sanitizing and not requiring everybody to wear masks is absurd. BUT not taking the exponential growth of this disease into account is also absurd. Just over a month ago there were 6 confirmed cases in the US and now the confirmed cases have topped half a million, so comparing the current number of cases to anything that is not also growing exponentially is completely meaningless. Let the people isolate who want or need to isolate, implement new societal norms including social distancing, cleanliness, and wearing masks everywhere in public and open everything up and let the rest of us get back to our lives.

Neither confirmed cases nor deaths in the US are growing exponentially and have not been since the early days of the outbreak. In fact, the greatest daily increase in confirmed cases was on April 4, at 34,196. The largest daily death number was April 10 at 2035, and that number is certainly not growing exponentially. Exponential growth requires at the least a greater daily increase than the day before, and that is not happening (for true exponential growth, not only will daily increases be greater each day, but they will be so by a percentage difference that stays constant or increases). If you’d like further information about exponential functions, please see my article “Basic Math,” posted both on Straight Line Logic and The Burning Platform. The fact that neither daily confirmed cases nor daily deaths are growing exponentially is why the scary death estimates have been revised so dramatically downward, from millions to the latest: 60,000. We might not even make it to that number. As a point of reference, the CDC estimates that “normal” flus this flu season caused from 24,000 to 62,000 deaths, which is fairly typical.
