A friend of mine is concerned about me. I have AS (an autoimmune disorder) and I’ve got what my physician calls a ‘textbook’ case of it. That’s doctor speak for ‘you’ve got it pretty bad’. The disease has done a number on me over the years. In the past it attacked my eyes, my guts and welded most of my back and neck into a solid, inflexible, twisted piece of bone. It’s gotten into my elbows, hips, knees and my ankles where it’s worked hard to ruin me even more.
To combat it I take (like millions of others just like me) a drug that blocks my immune system and keeps it from attacking my body. Without those drugs I’d be in a wheelchair by now. That’s how aggressive the disease is in me. But because it blocks (suppresses) my immune system I am blessed with the gift of mobility and a more or less normal life. With one exception: I am more likely to catch bugs and suffer from infections than people with normal functioning immune systems are.
And therein lies his concern. I keep going to work. He thinks I’m going to get sick.
I chuckled when he expressed his concern. Catching viruses is something I think about year round. And some stretches of the year are worse than others. Every October through March is “Covid19” season for those of us with poorly functioning immune systems. And every virus I catch could be the one that puts me in the hospital. I caught one in mid January that nearly sent me there. It’s the first time I’ve been truly concerned for my own health in years.
But that’s just the way it is. I (and those like me) mitigate the possibility of it happening by taking precautions. I don’t generally hang out in large groups of people (which is fine because I don’t really like most of you anyways), I wash my hands regularly and sanitize wounds ASAP (I learned that lesson the hard way).
Here is what I don’t do: I don’t stay home and shelter in place for months on end. I don’t live in fear. I don’t wear face masks. And I don’t demand that other people modify their behaviour when they’re around me.
My health is my responsibility. Not yours. Not ‘society’s’. And certainly not the state’s. I assume the risk of venturing out into the world because a life lived in fear isn’t much of a life.
In reality, on a global scale, Covid19 has not been any worse than the Swine Flu of 2009. The media didn’t make a big stink over that and governments didn’t try and shut down the economy or trample on your rights because people were getting sick and dying. Personally, I never gave it more than a moments thought either.

The bottom line is this:
Your rights do not end where my health concerns begin.
If you’re staying home to protect people like me, then please, don’t do ME any favours. And, if after being told this you still think it’s the ‘right’ thing to do then I’d suggest you’re less concerned with the health of others and more concerned with either appearing virtuous or just sitting on your ass and collecting a check.
So go back to work (where you can). Take sensible precautions. And for everyone’s sake, come to your senses.

I have a good friend who’s wife has MS and he is 100% on board with the government doing all they can do to protect his wife. I always considered him to be a solid conservative, but he appears to be worshiping at the alter of Big Brother.
My wife is scared sh**less of this beer flu and I attribute it to too much Today Show. I think it is an abomination that our government is using this as an excuse to see how much power they can exercise before the people turn on them. I have not really changed much in my life, except I cannot attend church services, cannot meet with my buddies for breakfast and cannot go to my favorite Mexican restaurant for a sit down meal.
That was my thought, btw, a TN Patriot as well that just had to move to NC…but anyhow, I think this is also a test to see how far we will let them go before all out riots and/or chaos hits the streets, I would say just a bit longer when people run out of food/money will they start to realize whats going on.
Well said, FM. My daughter has an autoimmune disorder as well (recently diagnosed after suffering with it for almost a decade) and just started on a biologic after hearing wonderful things about it. She, like you, goes about her life expecting no one to make special accommodations (other than her terrific boyfriend). I have great respect for people like her (and you), dealing with the pain and getting on with their lives. As you point out the covid-19 response has been pretty much the opposite–expecting everyone to sacrifice for the few who are at risk–just part of what I hate about the entire affair.
I applaud your valiant efforts to live normally with your condition.
However, I take issue with your position that one’s health is exclusively their business and responsibility.
I want the private enterprise and proper authorities to ensure HIV infected blood does not get into blood bank supplies. I want officials at the border checking everyone’s shot record – The Yellow Book – especially visitors from places that have Yellow Fever, Guinea worms, Typhoid, Typhus, and the new and
improved superbug Tuberculosis. I absolutely want persons who may have infectious diseases to be barred entry into the country or at minimum quarantined. I want to be informed by competent medical authorities about serious threats to my family’s health and that it take appropriate measures to protect it e.g. spraying againt mosquitoes that carry CHikungunya and West Nile disease.
Don’t forget that public hygiene is a cornerstone of modern life. When drug addicts, mentally ill, homeless, or transients bring fleas; are defecating in the street; and shooting drugs and leaving needles in the street – yeah, it is the responsibility of The Authorities to address the problem.
Public health is everyone’s issue.
Borders are one of the few responsibilities that governments should be concerned with. Keeping sick people out is linked to that. Monitoring public health and the spread of disease is arguably, also part of their job. Telling people they can or cannot go to work and what they can do in their own back yards based on that is a different matter. Individuals need to be able assess the risk themselves based on the available evidence and make their own choices on how they will live through this sort of thing. Governments TELLING them WHAT TO DO is not the answer. In most cases the cure will always be worse than the disease.

My employer is making everyone wear masks staring Monday. If you don’t wear one you can’t work, you don’t get paid. We’ve been working for 9 weeks without them.

Stack, let me tell you what my daughter related to me. All the hospital employees are required to wear masks, now. As a nurse, of course she has to comply. She saw a cafeteria worker without one and she asked why this person was not wearing a mask and was told the the worker complained that it made her overheat. I think if people start saying it is causing them to feel lightheaded, gives them a terrible headache or whatever, they have to consider the health of that employee, too. Wearing a mask all of the time, non-stop, affects your oxygen intake. Even my daughter pulls hers down during the day to get fresh air.
Read Kurt Schlichter’s 4 novels about a dystopian USA after a collapse and session of the blue and red states. In his books, the main character, Kelly Turnbull, uses that ploy a lot in the area of the former US. That is, if someone is on to him he uses one of the crazy left’s social justice causes to scream discrimination and they all cower and let him go. Anyway, you had to be there…hehe.

But, still, there are so many variables to this virus it’s difficult to comprehend them all at any given time.
Although FM would not seek to impose strict mitigation measures on others in the interest of self-preservation, most people are not as brave or magnanimous. So, are health policies a matter of public concern or private responsibility? Of course, the answer is both; and that’s why considering the variables requires balance and common sense.
It’s also obvious COVID-19 has been politicized by some and even commandeered by others for purposes of power consolidation and achieving authoritarian goals.
A few days ago I read one article describing in great detail how the virus is a hoax propagandized by the media and a few minutes later I watched a survival expert (whom I very much respect) chastise his followers for not taking COVID-19 seriously as a genuine health threat.
Then, yesterday, I was informed of an acquaintance dying from coronavirus. I knew the man personally and the last time we spoke he was telling me about his new girlfriend. His death was deemed notable enough to have a write-up included into the COVID-19 series of a national newspaper; and that’s how I learned he died – when someone sent me the link. I’ll also say he was in his seventies and his blood pressure was so high his eyes were always bloodshot.
So did he die with, or from, COVID-19. Probably, yes, he did.
And if this was a PLANdemic perpetrated by luciferian pedophiles, was my friend murdered by those who now want us to self-quarantine and wear masks for the safety of those being murdered? I think so, yes. He probably was.
However, I could be wrong. But I don’t think so?

It IS a genuine health threat that is used as a hoax propagandized by the media (and others). The only contradiction is between those who say it’s absolutely nothing and others who think it’s ‘Captain Trips’.
To me, the “plan” part of the Plan-demic was only hyping the danger exorbitantly, using it to shift blame for the inevitably crashing economy, and using it as an excuse to implement long-desired totalitarian controls on the populace without resistance. The virus itself is very real, (seemingly) worse than the regular flu, and it can and does kill …. but so what? It doesn’t now, and never did, warrant the hype and the measures taken to protect against it by … finally … trashing the entire concepts of liberty, a free market, and individual rights.
Now, if you want conspiracy theories about the origin of the virus and possible intentional release as a “bio-weapon”, there’s plenty to be found even (especially) on the MSM. Personally, I don’t think that matters a whit. Whether it was created intentionally or merely coopted to “not let a good crisis go to waste”, is immaterial now. Now we’re dealing with it’s use not as a bio-weapon, but as a weapon of propaganda in a war to assert totalitarian control over all people.
I think the variables are shrinking as time goes on. Hindsight and daylight narrow the focus. Heads are gonna roll over this when there is enough of it in the rearview mirror.
The PLANdemic means thus: the media was given a tool to wreck the economy ( and Trumps reelection) which they were able to do because of their immense power to control mindsets in govt and sheeple. IOWs, they did not let a crisis go to waste.

I agree 100%. Thank you for voicing your opinion. I hear people turn the above statement around all of the time. “Your rights end when it threatens me with contracting this bug and the possibility that it might kill me” and “Wearing a mask protects me from you.” They can’t understand that they are responsible for their own protection. They are free to use whatever measures are necessary until it affects my livelihood.
I’m not sure there is an argument to counter their need to force all of us into complying with draconian measures to protect them from everyone on the planet. If you have one, I’m open to suggestions.
It’s really startling how many people suffer from some kind of autoimmune disorder. I have heard that vaccines either caused this problem or exacerbated it by keeping our immune systems from learning how to function properly. Waiting at least till the age of two and keeping them to a bare minimum might have helped. Of course making sure they are safe would go a long ways to help, as well.
I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. My immune system is destroying my thyroid. I have to take medication that helps replace the hormones my thyroid is not producing properly. It helps but it does not cure it. I will have to take it forever. I hope we both do not run into a problem acquiring our meds.
I had a bad experience with a Thyroid disorder, i think it was caused by an MMR vaccine that was required to return to school (I was 40). It got so bad i went through thyroid storm which only 2 people in 100o survive. It got very bad but I do take the same drugs to offset the hypothyroidism that was caused after they pretty much killed my thyroid. The only reason i survived was because i was in fantastic physical condition.
Autoimmune problems are not understood by many doctors.
I still work everyday because i do not have any other co-morbidity problems so I should be OK. My thyroid has been changing a lot over the last 6 months but it has not caused me huge problems.

There are many individuals across the U.S. who have had to learn this lesson the hard way for varied reasons. And that was before this coronavirus panic. I thank God I’m not one of them, but those forced to live with such an innate need to not live in fear — when a reasonable fear exists that could drive them to despair any given day if they surrendered — were among the first people I thought of when this pandemic of State-imposed cowardice started to spread. I thought of the people who, pre-Covid, had to take precautions daily and live with such fears and overcome them every day. I thought of how cowardly they must consider the bulk of mask-wearing, hand-
wringingwashing Americans who turn their own lives upside down on cue from the government and media “chicken littles”.So, thank you for speaking out and reminding the cowardly what it means to live a life.

Yes. This is the guy to listen to. First I found Dr. Shiva, who turned out to be a fraud. Then found this guy last week.
The skilled nursing facility I have rounds at has now had 7 deaths in the past 10 days, NONE from the Rona.
These poor people are essentially being treated like criminals in these facilities. Locked down in their rooms 24/7 “to protect them.” The level of despondency, malaise, sadness is palpable in this facility. The rooms are tiny, large enough for a cabinet, wall TV, hospital bed and enough room to roll a WC around each side of the bed– each with a personal bathroom, the faces are tragic as I walk down the hallway and see them glance out and wave.
No visitors or family ( which is all that some of them hang on for), no activities, no music guests, church services, no bingo, no social interaction with each other– they wake up, are changed, fed and medicated. They are transferred to a WC to sit or left in bed if unable to tolerate sitting. $ hours later they eat lunch, 4 hours later it’s dinner and evening meds and transfer back to bed.
12 hours sitting next to the bed, 12 hours laying in it. Skin breakdown is occurring as some just lie in bed, too despondent to bother getting up and dressed.
This lockdown, NOT THE VIRUS, is killing people everywhere. If it doesn’t end soon, many more will die. Functional levels are declining. Old people lose strength and ability to perform simple tasks like standing, getting in and out of bed and on/off the toilet quickly with sedentary lives.

A nurse informed me that a relation of hers went to the ER for signs of a diabetic emergency. He was sent home because they are not giving beds to “non-critical” patients. He was dead six hours later in his home!
I know we’ll never get accurate numbers on OD’s and suicides from this period because the same type of people who tell us there are 48 deaths from Covid in their facility ( yet only 14 bodies in the morgue) are the same ones who report their bogus numbers to add to the fake CDC/WHO numbers– and would never let an alternative narrative see the light of day.
They want us chipped/vaccinated/tracked. Corona is real but less contagious than the flu and only slightly more lethal ( and then only as a “multiplier”). This is your classic opportunist wet dream. If they have to inflate the danger to escalate to “crisis” mode , then that is what they are doing because then it affords the opportunity to implement these tyrranical efforts. First and foremost let me say that I respect much of what FM posts on this site. I am 67 and therefore in the so called prime group to contract this agent. However, let me unequivocally state that since this insanity started, I have not stayed at home, worn a mask or donned surgical gloves. I, much, go about my business now as I did before the propaganda storm from the media started. I have the responsibility for the care of two of my Great Grandsons, one two the other four, to consider. So each business day I leave the house and look for necessities of our household. The boys love fruit and they go through quite a bit, so it is off to the market to get more. Then there is maintenance on the yard and house. It seems to do these task each day requires I make a sojourn. Of course, both are in daycare because many of the dangerous chores I need to accomplish can’t be done while they are here.
Still life goes on. The government can try to control the populace but when the populace has other priorities they will do what they deem proper. Which is as it should be and damn the government.
One last thing, I place my trust in my God, God of Abraham, God of Moses, Father of Jesus and the Creator of all things, above all else. If I get the agent so be it, if I do not, I, therefore, give my thanks to my God.

I’ve dealt with Reiters Syndrome since I was 29,turned 65 this year. So it’s a double wanny for me as well,and I couldn’t have said it better myself. On top of that I went most of my adult life with no insurance as I was a risk no one wanted. So what did I do, cry it’s not ffffffair ! OK, I did for like ten minutes, then I took responsibility for my own health. My weight is the same as when I was in high school, my blood pressure according to my doc is that of a twenty year old. The world owes me nothing , so please stop locking everybody down !

I recently saw a post in my neighborhood from a woman who’s son has a suppressed immune system. She was outraged because people walking on the sidewalk IN FRONT of her house were not wearing masks, passing others for a moment as they walked. If people wish to give another person not a wearing a mask a wide berth, they are free to do so. But his woman is apparently upset that someone, somewhere, is ignoring the guidelines, even if it doesn’t effect her directly. I suggest that her child’s main source of grief in life will not be his immune system, but being raised by a neurotic mother.

By not wearing a mask, you could be contagious and spread the disease to other people. So, your cavalier attitude could result in other people who are immunocompromised to be exposed by your carelessness, become ill, and die.

Why should every other person be forced to accommodate your desire to have your cake and eat it too?
Well I dont live in big town and dont care to. As far as trusting the government, that has no meaning to me and anyone with a brain that doesnt scare easily. What I mean is: I can trust the government until it does things that are untrustworthy. (example: I am ok with a few gun laws, because the fear of losing my right to bear arms doesnt compute. IF the govt moves to take guns away, that is when we can stand against that policy if ever it was tried). Fear of the Government is a JOKE. How am I to fear other human beings doing things that can be evaluated and rebelled against as it happens, not distrusting because you think something may lead to a fearful govt order.
DO you really think any human will allow the govt to give us life orders after the virus situation is solved???
Don’t live in fear………. just revolt if the fears are realized.
So, what if everyone chose not to work in certain situations! Who would you get your essentials from??? Can’t ignore the problem just cause you avoided it, cause if we all have that attitude, no one will work in healthcare or food. That is a CLUELESS response
Most people take the best available option that they can come up with and deal with the bullshit that comes with it. Making your well-being someone else’s responsibility is a temporary modern disorder that will become extinct in the near future as things go south.
I guess everyone forgot the significance of May 4th. MAY 4TH 1970-MAY 4TH 2020.KENT STATE MASSACRE-Ohio National Guard shooting and killing four 19 and 20 year olds and injuring 9 more including a young man who was shot in the back and left helpless from the chest down. Two of the dead were also shot in the back.
No Government officials sustained any injuries. Happy anniversary you scumbags.
