I’ve decided that these George Floyd Protests are the Tet Offensive.
Background:
The North Vietnamese launched the Tet offensive to turn the Viet Cong loose everywhere at one time. Additionally, there was a huge, visible battle at Khe Sanh to try and encircle a fire base and destroy the USMC forces there. For all the fighting though, it wasn’t really about the military matchup between the two sides. It was about the battle of wills. The North calculated that they could employ the We Are Everywhere model and through demoralization achieve what they couldn’t achieve in destruction.
They were right beyond their wildest dreams. The US had applied a doctrine of warfare could have come right out of Bill Lumbergh’s Office Space. The US gave space and time for such an offensive to be developed and launched. Walter Cronkite declared Vietnam to be a quagmire and thus wrote the epitaph.
Today, the George Floyd protests seem to rhyme with Tet.
The peaceful protests were given “space”. Which is another word for permission. The “protests” are simply a way to finish off what the lockdown failed to accomplish. There sure are a lot of people out of work and who haven’t returned to work. This further swells the ranks of those who are available to go protest. The protests have predictably turned into riots but with a new twist, this time attacking police stations and city halls-in addition to the usual department stores which are prime targets for achieving social justice. And all of it happening in a coordinated effort in cities in all 50 states.
Meanwhile, President Trump retreats to the bunker. I suppose it’s only a matter of time before we see a “Hitler Finds Out” video related to this. Trump has indicated that he will have Antifa declared a terrorist organization. To which I say, “Welcome To The Party, PAL!”
One key difference though is that with Tet, and Walter Cronkite, the OODA loop was measured in days. Today, with the internet, I think the OODA loop is more like hours or minutes. And the President is just now getting around to declaring Antifa a terrorist organization?! This could have been done years ago.
I think I’m watching the literal last grains of sand pass through the hourglass.
One final thought; When protestors can do what they want to, you’ll do what you have to. Governors and Mayors have given “space” to protestors or set thresholds for damages below which they won’t prosecute. Unexpectedly, riots and damages have mounted and now the police and national guard seem unable to stem the tide. So much so that calls to 911 for more isolated acts are answered by dispatchers with this answer:
“Do what you have to.”
That evening I emailed a friend the link and said:
“This is one guy’s opinion. You were there. What do you think?”
He’s right.
We encrypted and decrypted every piece of classified info coming or going from the commanding officer’s desk. Including the stuff delivered by briefcase handcuffed to an officer’s wrist. We were allowing them to get ready and followed their every step.
We knew about all the tunnels 30 miles outside Saigon leading into the center of the city. We facilitated cargo ships coming in with munitions to allow them to steam up the river to Cambodia to be unloaded and floated back down on local rice barges and small sampans.
Those rockets they fired at us weighed 120 pounds each. They did not get to Saigon on the back of a starving 90 lb. slave walking down the Ho Chi Minh Trail. We knew what night TET would be. We sacrificed all of the guys who were out on patrol that night.
TPTB needed a bigger war for several reasons you are already aware of.
Now fast forward to today. We know this has been prepared way before Trump came to DC so just to role play, let’s call Trump “the brass” in Saigon. All four branches of Brass were headquartered there. LBJ and Nixon represent DC. The American G.I.’s are the conservative Christians of all races. The V.C. are the BLM, ANTIFA etc.. They are now, as then, also being set up and sacrificed by the overseers. The MSM was just as complicit then as now. It’s a lie that they were to blame for crippling the war effort in Nam. It was all a loosely scripted game. They call it the “Great Game” because it is a game to them, all of them, from the least all the way to the evil entities they serve.
Confirmation is validation. I don’t need anymore evidence that what we are seeing now is a planned destruction of all we hold dear.

She gives too much credit to the black t shirts. The real problem are the coordinators at city, state and finally country level. Who are they, when did they begin the planning and who funded them?

MC you’re taking this as a criticism and it is not. It is an observation based on the entire piece. In the TET offensive the NVA and the VC tried to take on the American and South Vietnamese forces in a traditional set piece battle and could not outlast them. Why? their logistics and their ability to get forces where they needed them the most failed. Todays black t shirt low intensity conflict is a page right out of the FMLN playbook from Central America circa 1979 – 1984 time frame. The only thing is Antifa has is much betters comms and is really cashed up.
Correction to TN Patriot: I entered active duty in the Army in 1974……you are spot on about the Antifa being sacrificed.

In my area, most of the local cops live in the suburb they work for and will protect it with everything they have. We go to church with them and their kids go to schools with our kids/grandkids. They are on our side.
Couple of cop cars (taken home by their drivers as part of the whole “community police presence” bullshit), were hit with molotov cocktails last night in two suburbs of Atlanta. All blacks involved – two “men” and one “woman.” Must live nearby, as a couple of random cars would be quite difficult to locate just driving through the neighborhood.
I have no illusion that cops in my area will be there when you need them-they will turn tail and get the hell out of Dodge a little before it blows up. There are perhaps unique reasons for why they will run, the biggest of which is they don’t live here, i.e., they are not truly “local”. I have no confidence in the leadership here, and that includes elected “officials” as well as the bureaucracy.

There are those who are responsible for perpetuating the Vietnam Veteran stereotype in which they paint all of us who served with a very broad brush.
Almost ALL of us Vietnam veterans came back with sound minds to an ungrateful country and quietly resumed our lives without incident or fanfare.
The promised government jobs that were mandated into law for returning Vietnam veterans never materialized as the hiring managers were all non-veterans who got their own non-veteran buddies into those jobs.
There are still many who are of the same ilk as traitor Hanoi Jane Fonda who gave aid and comfort to the enemy while our POWS were (and are) still in captivity.
Very few returning Vietnam veterans had problems-the stereotype of mental illness and instability that they claim that Vietnam veterans possess that many misguided people claim is totally false.
There are those who have swallowed the false history-standard loss of Vietnam lies hook line and sinker. Americans and South Vietnamese prevailed in every battle-bar none.
In fact, TET 1968 was a decisive victory for the South Vietnamese and American forces-the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces were decimated. After TET 1968, North Vietnamese regulars had to be dispatched to the South to continue the fighting. Of course, the American mainstream media claimed it was a victory for the communists. North Vietnamese General Giap credited the American mainstream media with giving them new resolve.
As to the so-called “anti-war protesters”, they only wanted one thing–to save their own skins–nothing more. In fact, when the draft ended, so did the protests. Even present-day “uber-patriot” Ted Nugent got in on the act, defecating and urinating on himself and not washing for a month before appearing before the draft board–he was sent home. He stated that Vietnam “was not his war”…
The American Vietnam war was not a civil-war but was an INVASION by the communist North Vietnamese, who wanted control of the whole country. The INVASION was allowed to continue when American troops left and South Vietnamese troops were not resupplied.
Those who have watched the Ken Burns’ schlockumentary on Vietnam, in which he built up the North Vietnamese while exacting harsh criticism (lies) on the American and South Vietnamese troops were exposed to Burns’ lies and fabrications.
Of course, to his credit, Burns let it slip that the re-education camps contrary to communist claims (actually prisons) would be in operation for approximately six months after the war was over, it turns out that many former South Vietnamese were detained for as long as twenty years.
Post-war Vietnam was so wonderful, tens of thousands of boat people risked life and limb to escape that communist paradise [silence].
Ask the Vietnamese who live in garden Grove and Westminster California what they think…

You have to go back to Ho Chi Min and the French to truly appreciate the colonial oppression and bullshit that led to it all. There is no point in discussing any “truths” or “falsehoods” regarding US involvement or who said what to whom. It was France’s fight if they chose to fight it, but even they should simply have left and allowed the Vietnamese to deal with their own internal politics. We had NO business being there at all. Had Ho Chi Min not been fucked over by the French, and had the anti-communist rhetoric not whipped everyone into a frenzy, its likely that Vietnam would simply have been another Asian backwater that nobody cared about…including the Chinese and Russians.
And I remember a great bumper sticker I once saw in Garden Grove. It said “Will the last American leaving Garden Grove please lower the flag.” 3rd largest concentration of Vietnamese on earth after Saigon and Hanoi.

I read he actually admired our Constitution and attempted to contact the US govt for support, believing we stood for what our founding documents said. Had we not ignored him, the Vietnam war might not have happened.

We began talks with him through covert means because he wanted to rid the country of the Japanese now that the Japanese had run out the French. We needed the support in that area and were able to get arms to him. After the war we betrayed him and supported the French reoccupation and the slaughter of many Vietnamese.

While I don’t question the likely plan or its similarity in some way to Tet, the bigger difference is that we had no fucking business being in Vietnam, while THIS IS OUR COUNTRY TOO, OUR PROPERTY, OUR NEIGHBORHOODS, OUR STREETS, OUR FAMILIES, and no bunch of useless fucks, after $1+Trillion on the “war on poverty,” enless welfare, endless free medical care, endless free breakfasts and lunches, endless free schooling, endless free job set-asides, endless affirmative action, endless elections of useless black legislators, mayors, county commissioners, city council members, police chiefs, attorneys general, and even a president, is going to get the government to screw us out of any more, simply because THEY refuse to take ANY personal responsibility for the very actions of their own people that continue to enslave them on Uncle Sam’s DNC plantation.

If you’ve seen the recent veritas video about the Antifa turncoat, you know the Rose City Antifa group has some kind of shady support from overseas and somebody with a lot of experience teaching them tradecraft. The main takeaway I had from that post was the fact that Antifa should have been blitzkrieged years ago. It was obvious to anyone with a noggin. ACORN was Bush League to these guys. So many stupid people in DC, few of which will be missed when the missiles fly. Only politicians and political advisers masturbate long enough to let the enemy (especially well-funded Communists) “sleep”.
