The issue is not whether you can find a plastic surgeon that can do a fantastic “transformation,” or whether you had very “feminine” features early on in life, but whether the process of mutilating your genitals, taking massive doses of very dangerous hormones, and getting fake breasts, will ever address the underlying mental health issues that make you unable to carry on with life in the body you were blessed with by god/birth.

I had breast cancer. It seems like plastic surgeons work harder to give dudes breasts than they do to help women who have had mastectomies. I’ve seen some boobs on dudes that make me jealous.
Doctors who perform those kinds of surgeries are sick twisted bastards as well. But it certainly would be nice to see oncology surgeons caring as much. Remember that these men have been taking hormones to stimulate the growth of tissues and have not lost anything to surgical removal of tumor tissue, etc.
Mary Christine, I’m a dummy when it comes to this. When they rebuild breasts after mastectomies, do they just do implants or do they use fat from another part of the body to rebuild?
VV, if you have enough fat they can use your fat from your abdomen to rebuild a fairly reasonable facsimile. It requires multiple surgeries. The first one is more complicated than a masectomy. You have to stay in the ICU for 5 days.
I was not a candidate for that because not enough fat. I lost 20 lbs from the chemo. There was nothing left. So I had silicone implants. But they implant them under your pecs so the muscles have to be expanded for months with temporary implants they inject periodically with saline. It’s a bit of a torture because it causes muscle spasms. Once you are at a size you can live with they replace those with the silicone implants.
How’s that for TMI?
Btw, I was in the hospital with an infection in one implant when Yohimbo posted one of his Newbie and lurker calls. I was bored and the rest is history.
