It was a presidential election and, oh, what a tumultuous year it was. The country never seemed more divided. Both parties were unwilling to accept defeat. More than a few threatened civil war if their candidate wasn’t seated in the White House. The economy was a wreck. Pissed off citizens, armed with guns, took to the streets. Citizens died. Protests abounded in many major American cities. There was widespread accusations of voter fraud and intimidation. Most newspapers printed fake news – no matter which side they were on – as each candidate was fundamentally flawed (amongst millions of citizens, this was the best each party could come up with??). To make matters even worse, the guy who actually lost would become president.
Is that America in the 21st century? Nope. It’s a description of the 1876 presidential election; Republican Rutherford B. Hayes vs. Democrat Samuel Tilden.
Sam Tilden actually won BOTH the popular vote and the Electoral College. However, Florida (and a few other Southern states) claimed voter fraud and invalidated enough Democratic votes to seat Rutherford Hayes as president. Deja’ vu.
The Democrats actually made plans for a counter-inauguration for Tilden in Manhattan. They planned to seize the federal treasury building to fund a shadow government via customs revenues. They envisioned that Democratic state militias would invade Washington and throw Hayes out of office; “a little bit of war to inaugurate Mr. Tilden would do us no harm.”
Of course, Hayes supporters weren’t just going to lie down and play dead. One Texas politician pledged “thousands of ex-soldiers to fight for the Republican candidate.
Of course, we know the outcome. But, it does indicate that the times we are living in today aren’t unique … or, minimally, not as extraordinary as we are led to believe. Can it be that we have a nostalgia for a golden age of national unity that never existed? We have this powerful notion that we are a nation of the Very Many who peacefully melded into One People. Is it possible that this is just a myth … that it is as Trump said in his very first press conference in 2017: “I didn’t come along and divide this country. This country was seriously divided before I got here.”?
I don’t mean to be a historical revisionist but, is it possible that the idea of “disunion” — that this grand experiment is doomed to fail — has been lurking in our past from the very beginning? There is at least some evidence that it has.
The famous duel between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton wasn’t just about their mutual animosities toward each other. History shows that it was about a volatile and furious debate whether or not the United States should remain a single nation or be broken into two nations. Burr was approached be a bunch of New England politicians and businessmen who feared losing power in the rapidly expanding country. They thought it would be a good idea to secede and form their own “Northern Confederacy” …. with Burr as president. When Hamilton caught whiff of this conspiracy he denounced Burr as a threat and a traitor. That’s rather ironic because in his last letter just a week before the famous duel, Hamilton himself wrote that, “breaking up the United States would spark a rebirth of American democracy“!
And what about Thomas Jefferson who said he hoped the United States would stay united “if it be for their own good. But, separate them if it be better.“! He was literally OK with two Americas being peacefully broken up “as long as the principles on which it had been founded endured“. Apparently, a single sea-to-sea nation wasn’t a top priority for the nation’s third president.
Not even foreign collusion (!!!) is new to our times. Jefferson’s critics accused him of “taking orders” from Napoleon. Napoleon (the Putin of that era) was accused of sowing chaos in America in order to destroy us. His theory was that America’s size would be its undoing because joining so many diverse people over vast and complex geographical systems would be completely impossible with democratic self-government. He only agreed to the sale of the Louisiana Purchase because “America’s ungainly size will lead to her demise … this swollen Union will collapse under the weight of its own contradictions“.
There was even ridiculous race-baiting way back then. In the 1896 Democratic Convention there was a fellow named “Pitchfork Ben” Tillman who told the frenetic crowd that he would fight for the “emancipation of white slaves“.
Yes, we’ve been through this before.
The question is, should that make us feel better? Should we believe that just because we survived very similar issues back then, that we’ll be just fine now? Would America have broken up in 1876 if there was Twitter? Are these even relevant questions?
Or, should we be asking ourselves an even more fundamental question;
—— Is this Union worth preserving and, if so, why?? —–
The answer to that question — not whether it will be Trump or Biden as president — which will determine America’s future.
Uh, the Republicans, for all their present gayness, kept the Demo-Commie revolutionaries of the day at bay from Reconstruction through about 1910. Think Teddy Roosevelt timeframe.
The 1910 midterms remain the all time Blue wave Republican slaughter with +57 Democrat House seats gained. The country never quite recovered, and with exception of the LDS, religion in America began it’s precipitous decline. That was 110 years ago in November.
1896 also happens to be the year Utah territory was held hostage until State indoctrination aka “free education” was adopted as a condition of statehood.
And yet, Winnie, the 1900’s saw the birth of the Pentecostal movement. It was also the birth of the electronics era. Most of the electronic devices that we are familiar with were invented after 1900. Radio and television became part of daily life and by the fifties Americans laughed at themselves with the idea that they were living in the stone age of modernity while envisioning a Jetson’s future.
While they fantasized about a perfect modern suburban lifestyle with shows like Lassie and Father Knows Best, there was still that pesky past to deal with. TV shows like Gunsmoke brought it to life and Americans worried that the cushy lifestyle was but a pipedream of peace in our time. They elected a young president who promised to lead them to a new frontier but then his successor took the country back to war.
Why not? War had made this country as Teddy Roosevelt proved. In the previous century, America and Argentina were economic equals but America’s leadership chose an interventionist policy that bought her power and hegemony.
There will always be those who want to return America to a time of the Little House on The Prairie or The Waltons or Leave it To Beaver eras but no time is perfect as painted in the memory hole. A wise man once said, “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Except for the negative Nancys who would take us back to Jim Crow days, the rest of us have turned our back on the past and, like the pilgrims, look forward to the future come what may.
I don’t think this is right, properly war made the government and the government has decided the people are the enemy to be subdued. The pursuit of that war is where we are at. I am with you on looking forward to the future, we can make it if we will dare to.
If Ice-9 didn’t say it, I must have understood that the history of America is the history of war and the end of history is the end of war. Thirteen tiny colonies managed to take over the land from the eastern seaboard to the western shore by conquest, war and land purchases. Then, in the 1900’s by intervening in the European wars.
EC- that was beautifully written but, you are a product of the public screwel system. This script is repeated here in Merica and low and behold, they use actors to pull it off every damn time. It doesn’t mean anything other than the public in their time believe it is all real.
True, when we are young, we believe the old folks know what they are doing but once our leaders turn out to be our age cohort, we realize they don’t know so much. It’s all shenanigans and obfuscation.
Amazed at how hung up you are on Gayness, Winnie. You seem to be consumed with boy butt sex. Why is that? Asking for a Lesbian trapped in a man’s body… And your reading of history circa 1910 is bullshit. The Solid Democrat South was in no way Commie-Revolutionary from Reconstruction to 1910, or beyond. The South was Reactionary. Conservative. Patriotic. Democrat. Lots of good dead white patriotic Protestant Democrat Southerners buried around the world from the Marne to Omaha Beach to Arlington fighting for the Constitution and America disprove your view of Reconstruction and the Democrat Party from 1865 to 1910. Tens of thousands of dead Southern Democrats fighting against Fascism and Communism in every fucking 20th Century war we had thru Vietnam lie in graves all across the world. The Republicans of 1865 were carpetbagging, money grubbing, thieving Yankees.
The Yankees were never able to shake their Puritan roots. Even the English wanted rid of the Communist fuckers and they would have starved if not for the goodness of the Natives.
Fucking Anglophiles.
Where is Mr. magic underpants when you need him.
Mormontard Romney troll.
The Democrats were once a party of mostly honorable men working for the greater good of we the people before being successfully converged with low IQ savages , but the Republicans have always been the party of gutter sniping scalawags and carpetbaggers and still are today.
“Everyone should do all in his power to collect and disseminate the truth, in the hope that it may find a place in history and descend to posterity. History is not the relation of campaigns and battles and generals or other individuals, but that which shows the principles for which the South contended and which justified her struggle for those principles. ”
Robert E. Lee
“[T]he contest is really for empire on the side of the North, and for independence on that of the South, and in this respect we recognize an exact analogy between the North and the Government of George III, and the South and the Thirteen Revolted Provinces. These opinions…are the general opinions of the English nation.”
London Times, November 7, 1861
“The principle for which we contend is bound to reassert it’s self, though it may be at another time and in another form.”
President Jefferson Davis, C.S.A.
Stucky, great history lesson. Too bad this country doesn’t teach history any longer.
Actually we do teach something we call history. But it is just made up fantasy stories that never really happened.
Wait that is history. Its true? I thought we are a systemic racist nation where fags in dresses read stories about anal sex to 6 year olds, as a fetish.
Stucky,
I hope your right, this is nothing new. However, something just feels different, in a bad way this time. Fourth turning is upon us.
Shit like this makes me think it’s different this time
ScarsdaleAntifa is (was) a troll account.
What about this
I’m not saying there aren’t intentionally set fires, and that a sampling of the arsonists wouldn’t lean heavily left wing extreme.
I’m saying that that ScarsdaleAntifa account that keeps getting tossed around is a troll account and it would have taken only a moment of your time to double check before posting. You should do that before you post anything to at least see whether it’s already been addressed.
Antifa is not taking open credit for starting fires.
Fair enough
And this
I think I have an answer to what is different this time.
When my parents came to America, did we join an African American organization? A Polish Club? A Jewish one? An Italian one? No, we joined a … wait for it … German club. Cuz, we’re German. Like likes like.
That’s why blacks hang out mostly with blacks, Italians with mostly Italians, Conservatives with mostly Conservatives, blue-collar with mostly blue-collar, and so on and son ….. hundreds, if not literally thousands, of different groups hanging out with folks just like them.
This is all elementary, of course. But, it begs the current question; what is keeping these disparate groups from if not killing each other, at least breaking up into their own separate fiefdoms? I think it’s fear. The fear that separating into separate flock will lead to the destruction of the entire herd. Or, stated positively, living together, even though we’re so different, insures the peace and safety of all.
Here’s the problem as I see it; in today’s America, that fear is gone. We don’t need THEM! Fuck ’em, shoot ’em, leave ’em, or kill’em … it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference!!! We can get along without them. We no longer fear a dis-united America made up of independent little fiefdoms. Strength in unity? E pluribus unum? Fuck that shit!! Now, to me, this lack of fear that we truly need each other, THAT’S a scary thought.
Yes that is a very scary thought
I can see that. I think what held us together was simply the notion that the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. We had an imperfect but much less corrupt rule of law “then” than we have “now”, so the Little Guy on the Street felt like he’d have a shot against the Rockefellers. Black Friday 1869 was always in the backs of bankers’ minds.
The Little Guy on the Street felt like he had a chance to build something better than his competitor and not having to worry so much about govt. regulations benefiting transnational corporations.
IMHO these riots are part organized Marxists, part exploitative looters, and part unemployed Americans pissed off at losing everything. The first two are quite visible and hide a seriously enraged populace of tens of millions. Different groups of people tolerate each other a lot less when the economy turns down.
Right outta 1984 “Diversity is Strength” The greatest lie of our generation.
Good question and I have thought about that too.
I believe at one time it was fear but now it is Uncle’s Money. The young ones get their free government school and free lunches. The older ones get student loans that Uncle will forgive soon enough. Mom and Dad get all kinds of neat shit that they couldn’t otherwise afford on their own like parks and free daycare via government schools. And the olds get free $ with Social (in)Security and Medicare. How many states have already caved when Uncle threatened to shut off the $? Speed limit and drinking age are just 2 that easily come to mind.
So, in my opinion the only thing keeping it together is bribery and when Uncle goes broke it’s all over. The crazy thing to me is that Uncle bribes us with our own money
Taken at face value, this was quite the history lesson for me. I just did a quite search to find the national debt in 1876, slightly more than a decade after the civil war, was listed as $2,180,395,067.15…so there’s one big diff:
https://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/histdebt/histdebt_histo2.htm
We have also been the beneficiaries of nearly 5 decades of the deliberate dumbing down of the populace:
https://archive.org/details/DeliberateDumbingDownOfAmericaCharlotteIserbyt
Of course, I’ve been saying for a long time-this nation was founded for the very purpose of ‘burning down’; to establish a return to the age when gods co-mingle with men.
annuit coeptis novus ordo seclorum <<——====
Whether I agree with the author or not, his articles read almost like you're listening …….
No, not at all. And the more energy that is expended to hold the thing together, the worse off we’ll all be when it inevitably breaks up due to the laws of nature.
I have a few questions, all respectfully asked. (Answer briefly or, at length or, not at all. lol)
— 1. Why is this Union not worth preserving?
— 2. Was it ever worth preserving?
— 3. You say America will break up due to the laws of nature. Which laws are you referring to?
— 4. Will you vote for Biden this year? If not, why not? After all HE is the more likely candidate to destroy this Union.
— 5. If this Union is destroyed, then something else MUST take its place. Do you think that ‘something’ will be better than a preserved Constitution?
1. IMHO worthiness has nothing to do with it. It’s more about the amount of energy it takes to balance the chemical equation. The United States today is far too complex a machine to patch back together. It’s not a Soviet refrigerator anymore and is more akin to the Soviet Volga trying to build an electric car. Boil it down to BTUs. Unless by some miracle we discover the secrets of fusion power or zero-point energy, it’s not possible.
2. The dream that was America was and is worth preserving, yes. That ideal really only exists in Southeast enclaves or perhaps the Rockies to any reasonably great degree. Like a cancer, at some point you need to cut out the tumor in order to have a chance at curing the patient. Sadly, there are times when we must perform a mastectomy in order to survive.
What I guess I’m saying here is that there is the tangible land mass and all its complex machinery, vs. the idea of America. The former was always doomed to failure at some point. The latter will hopefully go on somewhere and to some unknown degree.
3. The Second Law of Thermodynamics and Newton’s Third Law in particular. The cycles of nature (feast/famine, global cooling/warming (GSM, sunspots, increased vulcanism), conservation vs. shitting where you eat, etc.
4. No. As much of my physical, mental, and spiritual energy as possible is being focused on getting my property prepared. I try not to distract myself with the process of voting. No matter who wins, the opposite side will not tolerate it and the country will burn over the next few years. IMHO this will be the last semblance of an “election” within the current system of government.
5. We have to be there to push the falling tree in the right direction. If we aren’t, it’s going to fall on the house. I see no other way to build a better working nation than a period of time with a Caesar. God help us.
Glad you’re back, sir. I missed you and I miss Llpoh. Go ahead and flame away! I can take it. 🙂
Depressing but I hope you’re wrong AC. I can’t argue with your logic- it appears to me to be spot on. No flames here. My opinion is that America can be still saved, or completely lost, depending on what people are willing to personally sacrifice in her defense. I believe in the melting pot. The tribalism is a distraction inculcated by the globalist rich fucks. I believe that America is worth fighting for. I believe that there is no higher ideal on earth than American Liberalism. I believe that when America falls, the Light of the West fails and we will have a thousand years of darkness.
Yet, I also still consider myself a South Carolinian and a Southerner before I am an American, so undoubtedly I have been partisanized. From birth. Maybe I’m a believer in Lost Causes. A liberal, I despise the authoritarian Left. I believe that the answer sadly is that the time for killing is soon upon us again. I don’t know which side will win, but I know which side I am on, and I will fight and go to my death without remorse. Been hard enough watching the Lowcountry being overrun by Yankeedom.
I hope I’m wrong, too.
The problem, gentlemen seems to be controllers who hold the purse strings and write the rules, as explained here. Mostly Grifters in place for life with the system they created to become more powerful with time in office. They are NOT there for the paltry $175,000 salary, but for the POWER, and to collect the $5,000,000 expense account and the bribes for their votes!
When the avowed Marxists got the “Squad” elected they stated quite clearly their goal was to take over the Democrat party, and it seems they have succeeded very very well. If anyone would have said five years ago we would have two Muslim radicals elected to Congress???

America has a black problem. A civilized society can only stand a plague of violence, filth and chaos so long until something cracks.
Race: A Very, Very Dismal Reality
Fred Reed •
We say we have a “race problem.” No. We have a black problem. Calling it a “race problem” attributes culpability to the alleged racism of whites. This absolves blacks of responsibility for their behavior. It also allows the media to avert their gaze from the endless horrific crimes by blacks against other races.
https://www.unz.com/freed/race-a-very-very-dismal-reality/
Fred Reed apparently never studied the hard sciences. We have an energy problem that supersedes everything else. You could have ZERO blacks living here and the rest of the ignorant Americans would still be pissing away their BTUs (and inheritances) in sandboxes and jungles. All the while, their own infrastructure falls apart and they would rather bicker over a windmill and the delta smelt than implement semi-effective solutions; something that could at least bridge the gap to a more sustainable future.
Everything can be boiled down to mathematics and the hard sciences. Our collective chemical equation can no longer be balanced. Remove the blacks and a bunch of dipshit whites or some other group would fill the consumer gap. You’d still have too many people using too many HVACs and heavy appliances and not making up the energy differential.
It is all about energy. We as a society are collapsing because we saved too little and spent too much. Yes, immorality through pride and greed got us here. But in the end it’s all a numbers game.
Apples and oranges, fancy pants. Energy won’t save you from a tribe of feral thugs who murder people daily just for dey gibs.
flash
BTW, I’d bet Fred Reed knows a lot more about hard science than you ever will. Check out his bio sometime.
Quit blaming your failures and/or fears on an entire swath of people. It’s rather unbecoming let alone logically fallacious. The one constant I see among the blame gamers is themselves; the term “arrested development” immediately comes to mind.
I’ll take your bet any day of the week. I’ve read his bio and am unpleasantly surprised that a guy who’s lived in exactly the same places as myself (at least 3 of them, 2 to the actual town) became such an elitist whiner. He should be ashamed of himself and I’d expect more from a guy of his intellectual caliber.
Of course, you could also explain how effective a gang of bicycle riding Antifa punks are in hilly, wooded terrain through a valley lined with rifles. Mongol envelopment comes to mind. Oh, you think there will actually be *any* BTUs available, let alone *refined* BTUs? Do tell which of the perhaps 6 refineries will be up and running to process all of that energy that we no longer produce and have to steal from the ME, just to keep the military at break even?
Explain why Chicago had 51 shootings this weekend and 55 the weekend before that and so on and so forth. Now multiply that by every majority city in American and then deny American has a black problem. Tell the families of innocent whites savagely murdered everyday in America by black thugs for a cell phone or a myriad of other trivial reasons that America doesn’t have a black problem. My failures are my own, but whatever they may be, they do not negate the fact that America has a black problem.
I can’t decide if you’re in denial or just a virtue signalling dumb ass.
The Brutal Reality of Black on White Crime
On the evening of February 20, 1990, Robert Simon and Anthony Carr — both black — were burgling Carl Parker’s house in Lambert, in Mississippi’s Quitman County. Mr. Parker, along with three other family members — all white — arrived home to find a pickup truck loaded with loot just about to drive off. The surprised thieves held the Parker family at gun point and tied up Mr. Parker’s 12-year-old half-brother Greg and then shot him in the back. They raped and sodomized his nine-year-old half-sister Charlotte Jo before they killed her. They shot his stepmother, Bobbie Jo in the chest, and they also killed Carl Parker himself. They cut off his ring finger to get his wedding band — whether before or after they killed him is not known. Then they dragged the four bodies into Mr. Parker’s house and burned it down over them. [Allen Breed, Price of Justice Makes Poor County Even Poorer, Detroit News, March 21, 1999, p. 19A. First reported by American Renaissance in July 1999.]
With all due respect, flash: Insults coming from you, a practicing Catholic, really aren’t effective. Remember as well, it was YOUR Satanic cult that actively supported the Great Society. I could even make a strong argument that the Great Society wouldn’t have been codified if not for Yankee Catholics. So stop while you’re ahead.
Here’s what I know is easily provable. You haven’t yet made the logically fallacious jump to say that all blacks are evil. That’s a positive. However, you certainly do as good of a job as the left-wing media at spinning your narrative.
But let’s put all of that aside for a second. Let’s say that we have a black problem as you say. Now let’s say we get rid of all of them. Then let’s say we replace each one of them with a white. Note that nothing else changes except skin color.
Is the country suddenly fixed?
I never said I was Catholic and I’ve only been in a Catholic church once in my life. What I am is a history buff and sans the Catholic faith there would be no Western civilization at all, as history will attest.
Also, I never said that all blacks are evil or thugs. What I am saying is that they are a race of extremely violent, emotionally volatile, criminally inclined, irresponsible, overly addicted, and harbor a strong proclivity to raping anything with an ass.
If blacks were to somehow magically disappear, no the country would not be suddenly fixed, but communities, towns and cities would become much safer to walk about, crime would drop to levels not seen since the early 1950s, women wouldn’t be raped like dogs in the street and little kids wouldn’t be thrown from mall balconies or shot in the head while riding their bikes. City could be cleaned up and the billions saved on free shit and incarceration would go a long way towards fixing all aging infrastructure across America. I could go on and on, but you get the gist. America has a black problem.
I’ve had a couple of comments wiped that contained Bitchute links. Are Bitchute videos now considered spam on TBP ?
If the Catholic Church didn’t exist, we’d also not have a rampant pedophilia problem in this country, or a global push for the Great Reset, or the welfare state, or a major push for open borders. We wouldn’t have had the Dark Ages. We wouldn’t have had the Inquisition. Your point is also moot because as Bastiat would have said, there is that which is seen and that which is not seen. We have no idea what would have taken its place. We do know that nature abhors a vacuum and to assume that !Catholics == !Civilization is a hell of a stretch.
But again, let’s go with your position and say that poof, all blacks are gone. Streets are safe again. Now what? Did whites suddenly become smarter? Did they really “save” all those billions, or borrow from the ChiComs to pay for farmers NOT to grow certain crops? Did they stop creating the problem that led to the inner-city issues to begin with? Did they miraculously discover their balls?
Will the mostly white BLM disappear? Or will they just be happy in their saaaaaafety and continued lack of liberty? Will they suddenly be innovative again? And where do you plan on getting all these trillions to spend on crumbling infrastructure that your white POTUS already borrowed from my children to protect the old farts?
You know the answer to these questions if you’re honest with yourself. The root of the problem is not blacks. The root of the problem is a descendant society that is on the verge of total collapse with absolutely no ability to break even. As you subconsciously alluded to, American Whitey just wants his saaaaaafety and will do whatever it takes to secure it. Whitey will Diaper up, take a mandatory vaccine, condone the PATRIOT Act, condone the murder of hundreds of thousands of foreigners in order to have their HVACs running in the summer, and even sign on the Diversity and Inclusion dotted line if it means staying gainfully employed.
If you want to continue making stupid insinuations, go for it. I suspect you’re neither interested nor capable of really trying to think through an existential crisis.
I thought we were talking about the future sophist, but if you want to lay America’s problems on long dead Catholics, while ignoring the violent criminal culture now brutalizing mostly lower and middle class America, then that’s were we go.
The Grande Inquisitions objective was to root out subversives inside the church. It was mostly successful leading directly to the expulsion of thousands of Jews from Spain.
You can read about it here:

And here:
The Last Catholic Crusader Queen Isabella Of Spain
https://archive.org/details/TheLastCrusaderIsabellaOfWalshWilliamThomas5474
The Jews bitter and vengeful over being kicked out of Spain used the drunken idiot Martin Luther, their printing presses and bankrupt German princes in need of quick cash to foment war against the Catholic church, which soon fell to steel, looting and fire. At first Luther loved the Jews for helping get his revolution started, but once he figured out that he was little more condom used to cover the dicking the Jews gave the Catholic church, he wanted to burn them all alive in their homes and synagogues.

And, with the long fall of the Catholic church, pitting Christian against Christian and shattering the faith into a thousand shards, crept usury, which the church had historically banned. Usury was now free to become the debt tool used to enslave generations and destroy entire nations, which is how we got to the point now, wherein central banks own the world, even the scary hobgoblin China.
If you hate white people, just say so and quit resorting to blatant sophistry. It makes you look like a cheap hack.
BTW, the dark ages, like everything else you believe is a myth too. This link should suit your level of understanding.

Systemic racism is as intellectually bankrupt and logically fallacious an idea as removing all blacks from the country curing all criminal ills. You’re as extremist as the leftists, which gets back to my original point. I think you’ll likely find a better audience for your…ideas…than me. LOL.
You’re the sophistry spewing jackass that suggested removing all blacks from the country. I just gave an answer to your hypothetical question. Are you retarded, because I have a hard time communicating with retarded people.
“But let’s put all of that aside for a second. Let’s say that we have a black problem as you say. Now let’s say we get rid of all of them. Then let’s say we replace each one of them with a white. Note that nothing else changes except skin color.
Is the country suddenly fixed?”
Yawn, flash. You answered not one of my questions because deep down, you know not a goddamn thing would change if your world view were to take effect. Nothing. Dumbasses will still be dumbasses. Profligates will still be profligates. Scaredy-pants voters will still be scaredy-pants voters. The country will still go bankrupt and we’ll be third world, even with your saaaaaafe streets that was clearly critically thought out as the panacea to end all panaceas. Good for you, buddy! Shit, run for office, your ideas are as well thought out as any other politician that Americans have voted for the last 120 years.
And you know as little about the Dark Ages from the perspective of the rest of the world at that time – you know, outside of Western Europe – than you do about what ails this nation at its very core. Everything west of Kiev and northwest of Damascus was a complete shit show. Sadly, I won’t have time to read your links because A) I’ve spent today creating wealth and am exhausted after the floods, and B) I like to form thoughts of my own AFTER having read primary sources when possible. I don’t speak to topics I know nothing about because I don’t like to set myself up like you’ve set yourself up on this board for years.
If you can’t understand the very basics of fallacy of composition and ad hominem, you’re not worthy of my time. Best of luck on the road ahead. The good Lord knows you’ll need it, because you sure as shit don’t know how to influence people!
You can have the last word. I want you to at least feel like being an Internet tough guy can get your dick hard. Please view me as the most retarded mofo on the planet, if that’s what it takes to get you to leave me the fuck alone and quit nagging like a scorned lover.
Back at you fool.
“There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance – that principle is contempt prior to investigation.”
― William Paley
I’m a lot of things, flash, both good and bad. A fool is not one of them. I don’t speak to topics I know nothing about. Now don’t go away mad, just go away. I am not interested in anything you have to say. You’re like my 12 year old son after a long day. JEEBUS.
Why can’t you just accept you just got your ass handed to you and bow out graciously , though I’m glad that you can admit that you don’t know shit about the topics you blather on about.
Coming back and editing after I already replied. …You’re a sneaky little sophistry spewing bitch aren’t you.
Flame away? Please! You are forever exempt from my flame-abilities.
Truth be told, I have no argument/disagreement with a single thing you wrote. Really. I just wanted to know your thoughts in a little more detail. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Good stuff ….
Just want to add one more “law” of nature: ALL EMPIRES FAIL …. EVENTUALLY. Where are the Babylonians? The Hittites? The Aztecs? The Roman Empire? The Ottoman Empire? Gone baby, gone. America, as we know it, will one day cease to exist. That’s a fact.
I was just hoping it wouldn’t happen in my lifetime. .Hence, I believe the Union is still worth saving. Now, if you’re immediately thinking of asking me “HOW do you save it?”. I’ll tell you …. I honestly do not know.”
Stucky, you can flame me whenever you want. It’s a requirement for us as individuals to grow.
You’re a good man, you’ve been through a lot. You teach us, and you make us laugh. (When I saw Clammy back on here, I had to go back and read some of those beautiful shit-throwing contests, LOL. I’d wager only you and Llpoh would even remember them.)
BTW: I have no fucking idea how to save this country beyond a strong man. I really don’t. Welcome to the club. 🙂
AOC- I would not bet that you could flame Stucky forever. He is pulling your leg without doubt.
The thing about Stucky and Llpoh is this: When they light you up, there’s a lesson to be learned in there. Trust me, I found out firsthand from Llpoh and went radio silent for years. It’s hard to explain. Kinda like having your grandfather bitchslap you for talking back.
I’m hoping Stucky starts back up on someone soon.
That’s funny AOC, I must have missed all those “lessons” from being lit up over the years.
Jeebus H. Kreist, Stucky believes the official narrative on 9/11.
BL
You were reading my mind.
The “Union” is actually division. The government supporters are the ones who drew up all the boundaries to make their fiefdoms. It’s all driven by fear because people don’t want to take responsibility for their protection, knowing and upholding the law, building the infrastructure that suits their needs. The westward expansion of the government was actually preceded by independent people seeking freedom, escaping the insanity of authoritarian control freaks. The control freaks saw opportunity to come in and take over what others had built. The disease of control freaks continues to this day and all the people who vote or participate in any way are just as guilty as the control freaks they support. There are not enough free-thinkers, responsible people, to overcome the hoards of mindless supporters of criminal control freaks. The burning cities, division, war, surveillance state, police state is all consequences of those irresponsible ‘government’ supporters. Seeing the carnage that ‘government’ (organized crime) and their supporters have caused so many times over, the burning, looting, currency destruction, enslavement is only karma for how they have chosen slavery instead of freedom. I welcome the divine justice levied upon the voters as much as I do the control freaks themselves, both are guilty of destroying and enslaving their neighbors.
Wasn’t the Nation united during World War 2???
VERY. And will be again, once the Left and the Right have fought to the death of the one. Sucks, but that is what it is gonna take.
Glad your back, Stuck.
Yes, America’s ideological divide has always existed; but, perhaps, in our time, the divisions have finally reached critical mass.
Certainly, the nation will hold together or break apart.
And maybe either result will serve as the answer to your question. In other words, if the country holds together it was worth preserving. If not, it wasn’t.
Or maybe there are no answers, only choices.
Just typin’ out loud over here…
Thanks for the thought-provoking post.
The country tried that in 1860. Thugs won. Will not happen again.
Amen
No, it is not worth preserving. Too many differences under 1 authority is untenable.
Harry Schultz, old timer financial guru and adviser, argued having 2000 counties rather than 200 or so would allow all tribes, cults, religions to have their own country, think Kurds, or Jains or Sikhs of BLM or San Francisco or Tajikistan…..No one country would have enough troops or power to attack the others…..no strength through diversity…..One worlders would have a hard time consolidating….Local rule…..50 states have saved this country from some pretty bad ideas….50 countries, why not?….Red states would prosper unbelievably………….
One issue with that splitting up idea:
The power hungry idiots, who can’t stand the idea of people existing that they can’t order around, will bring back the wars of conquest that eventually led to the nation-states we have today.
You know they will flock to the prosperous states and declare themselves to be the mostest red-staters that ever existing.
Unless there is a better citizenship awareness program that the one the U.S. originally had it place, I’m afraid it will turn into just another trip around the merry-go-round.
Nope, you’re correct. No matter what better world will be envisioned, Man will fuck it up at some point. And that’s OK. The trick, as Jefferson and Franklin most especially knew, was that it is imperative to give posterity a fighting chance.
The smaller and less complex the machine, the easier it is to maintain.
I disagree with Harry Schultz.
Here’s a map of Europe around 1776 … a clusterfuk of fiefdoms, especially Germany …. that were constantly at war with each other since the Roman Empire broke up.
More nations = more opportunity for war
There were two or three hundred German duchys and principalities until they were amalgamated into Imperial Germany under Otto von Bismarck in the latter half of the 1800’s. A similar situation existed on the Italian peninsula with Garibaldi uniting it all into the Kingdom of Italy. Both immediately became quite powerful and began colonial wars in Africa and eventually played a big part in the two biggest wars ever seen.
One may wonder what would have been the result had they stayed with the hundreds of smaller units? Pat Buchanan wrote that ultimately every valley is its own country and that could lead to 10,000 separate countries.
Man’s sinful nature is why there will never be perfect anything until the Son of Man returns in glory.
Unrealistic and idealistic. There is a balance between imperialism and anarcho-libertarianism. Harry Schultz was starting at his ideal endpoint and working backwards. Human nature doesn’t work like that.
Knowing human nature, there’s no doubt in my mind that there were those who began plotting on how to subvert the newly written constitution before the ink was even dry, for their own gain.
The history of the US is no different than the history of the entire world; it always comes to this. To me, one of the most glaring differences is that now everything is so globally intertwined, what would have been a blip on the world’s radar then now has the potential – inevitability, to my mind – to be a global catastrophe. Back in the mid/late- 1800s, if the US failed or split into 2 or more groups of states, it wouldn’t have had a huge impact on the rest of the world. It would’ve just been an opportunity for other countries to manipulate/control/loot whatever remained. And whomever wanted to, could’ve run to somewhere else and started over. Now, there’s no place left to go. Practically every other spot on the globe, with a few minor exceptions of isolated areas, is worse off than the US is.
To paraphrase the NWO phrase into it’s proper perspective; think global disintegration, not local.
And I agree with all the other bible-reading Christians on here; there’s far more going on than just the unending cycle of human history. It all fits too neatly together for me to dismiss.
It doesn’t matter if I think this country should or should not be saved; it’s already dead. And there’s only one entity that could resurrect it, just as He did Lazarus. Unfortunately, for far too many people, it’s going to be a world-wide resurrection, and the child-birth pangs we see now are just the first convulsions. What follows is going to a remarkably painful delivery.
Just my $0.02 worth.
The Fourth Turning of all Fourth Turnings.
Aye.
Arrgh.
Yo ho ho, matey.
Been saying that for the past 3+ years… all coming to fruition.. all of this is so obvious a blind man could see it and yet soooooo few even take the time to pull their head out of their third point of contact and with an open mind’s eye see what is happening…. Yes, this is all part of the Fourth Turning, turning…
Brilliant and well-said. I am not Catholic (anymore) but I do believe the Third Secret of Fatima conveyed an otherwise unreleased but catastrophic future. Fr. Malachi Martin spoke of Russia and Kiev’s role in it and the fact that he certainly wouldn’t have chosen Russia to play a role in that future, but that God has His own ways.
For the record. Malachi Martin was a paid agent of B’nai B’rith and the American Jewish Committee .I wouldn’t trust a word out of his mouth or pen.
Maybe, maybe not. But the preponderance of the evidence is pretty astounding. When taking what he said, what was already known about the consecration of Russia to the Sacred Heart, the fact that it wasn’t released by 1960, and the Pope’s capitulation that “if it wasn’t released fully or in a timely manner, then it was to protect the flock” (or along those lines), then something smells rotten in Denmark.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence what’s been happening in Kiev since 2014. And we’re not on the side of justice in that matter. The United States needs to get kicked in the teeth, good and hard. The story of Sodom and 5 good people comes to mind.
Hey Stucky, good to see you’re back at it. Must’ve gotten some extra internet time at the li-berry!
When the SC Legislature would not create funds for a proposed Land Grant college, he thrust his pitchfork int USC’s quad and cursed the place.
The “Chicken Curse” has been with them forever. Lately, that Land Grant college does purty well at football. The new Pichfork Ben goes by Dabo these days…
They do pretty well at supporting South Carolina agriculture too. Never had much respect for the old Gamecock anyway. He was a prima donna, and a more sulky, self-important son of a bitch you’d never meet. Fuck Sumter.
Damn, looks like my unconquered, have been conquered, by Dabo.
It’s only worth saving according to our actions.
“Then he said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me. Let me speak just one more time. What if only ten can be found there?”He answered, “If I find ten, I will not destroy it.”
Once the percentage of Godly drops low enough…..
Stucky, I am thrilled to see such a coherent piece.
We have always been a nation of bickerers, so true. What’s more often than not missing from our history books is how the common man approached the same problems we’re facing today. Outside influences, check. Anarchists, check. Commoners trying to muddle through, check.
Inevitably, it’s always been restored with a violent purge or a damned good threat of one. (Jackson threatening to ship 30,000 troops South if need be, leaps to mind).
Damn, it’s good your back to prodding.
Agree, these are my favorite types of articles. I didn’t know this particular tidbit of history.
Why is income tax necessary, when the Feds are able to create money out of thin air.
Defund The CIA, Defund The IRS, Defund The Crooked FBI. Defund The shadow government run by Obama.
IN the 1876 election, it came down to the State of Florida’s electoral votes to decide the Presidency. The party of Hayes made an agreement with the Florida legislature that if they voted for Hayes, when elected Hayes would pull Federal troops out of the South. These troops had been enforcing the civil rights and the civil liberties of the Blacks from the end of the Civil War. When elected Hayes did remove the troops and Reconstruction ended. So did the freedoms of the Blacks in the South and Jim Crow laws were enforced. This had the effect of making Blacks little more than indentured servants.
I meant to include that but, forgot. Thanks for including it. Specifically, the agreement was to pull Federal troops out of Louisiana and South Carolina. A promise which was kept.
That’s another thing which is “different” than today. The ability for both sides to compromise. Politics today is damn near 100% partisan. Without compromise (in public life as well as our private lives) then how in the hell can anything ever be achieved?? It won’t. I think this inability to compromise started under Obama …. which history will eventually judge correctly as America’s worst president ever.
I think Obama just hit the gas on it and crossed the Rubicon. I noticed a sea change after the 2000 election debacle.
Another problem is that the Collectivists historically never compromise. They overtly threaten to burn everything down if they don’t get their way. Then on the other side, such as with the Republicans, they capitulate because they’re more worried about being blamed for a shutdown and losing their seats.
I’d go even further than you WRT Obama…I think Stu at Age of Desolation is dead-on about the Third. IMHO he’s running a shadow government.
Today the controllers of the CASH flow, and the rules and regulations run the whole operation.

Stuck, you are unstuck, and wrote this fine article.
As you said, nothing new under the sun.
Just for fun, I’ll say the country can break into blue and
red states, and the red states divorce altogether from the
blue. Or, just leave us alone/forever. Some will have to
move state or convert. Dreamy.
White European Christian is the glue that held the nation together. We had more in common than not and America had yet become a multicultural battleground of hostile tribes pitted against each other by a very wealthy and extremely government/corporate entrenched tribe of Bolsheviks. America is no longer a nation , yet it remains a country, although no country exists for very long sans a united people.
BTW, Good to see you back writing again Stuck.
https://www.etymonline.com/word/nation
nation (n.)
c. 1300, nacioun, “a race of people, large group of people with common ancestry and language,” from Old French nacion “birth, rank; descendants, relatives; country, homeland” (12c.) and directly from Latin nationem (nominative natio) “birth, origin; breed, stock, kind, species; race of people, tribe,” literally “that which has been born,” from natus, past participle of nasci “be born” (Old Latin gnasci), from PIE root *gene- “give birth, beget,” with derivatives referring to procreation and familial and tribal groups.
The word is used in English in a broad sense, “a race of people an aggregation of persons of the same ethnic family and speaking the same language,” and also in the narrower sense, “a political society composed of a government and subjects or citizens and constituting a political unit; an organized community inhabiting a defined territory within which its sovereignty is exercised.”
Are These Antifa/ BLM Riots A Jewish Coup?

So how to conceptualize Jewish involvement? As documented in my book The Culture of Critique, Jews have been the backbone of the American Left since they arrived in America and are central to the new elite that emerged in the counterculture of the 1960s. The Frankfurt School, largely shaped by Jewish refugees from Hitler, reconceptualized anti-Semitism as resulting, not from class conflict as orthodox Marxism had claimed, but from ethnic conflict. Similarly, Jewish activism in the post-World-War-II U.S. focused on importing non-Whites as allies of Jews in opposition to the traditional White American majority. Hence the critical role of Jews and Jewish organizations in the passage of the 1965 Immigration Act.
Jews and Jewish organizations have allied themselves with Blacks since the early twentieth Century with the founding of the NAACP. And, despite a substantial history of Black anti-Semitism (e.g., Louis Farrakhan, the recent spate of attacks on Orthodox Jews in New York, anti-Jewish statements by Black media figures like Nick Cannon—who also thinks Blacks are superior to White people but only apologized to Jews), this alliance continues into the present.

Becoming a modern society is about industrialization, urbanization, and rising levels of literacy, education, and wealth. The qualities that make a society Western, in contrast, are special: the classical legacy, Christianity, the separation of church and state, the rule of law, civil society…People define themselves in terms of ancestry, religion, language, history, values, customs, and institutions. They identify with cultural groups: tribes, ethnic groups, religious communities, nations, and, at the broadest level, civilizations. People use politics not just to advance their interests but also to define their identity. We know who we are only when we know who we are not and often only when we know whom we are against… There can be no true friends without true enemies. Unless we hate what we are not, we cannot love what we are. These are the old truths we are painfully rediscovering after a century and more of sentimental cant. Those who deny them deny their family, their heritage, their culture, their birthright, their very selves! They will not lightly be forgiven.
Samuel P. Huntington, The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World
The etymology lesson back to Latin speaks volumes.
This is an interesting book. Although portrayed as federalists v. anti-federalist; north v. south; left v. right, this country has always been terribly complex and divided. It’s a wonder the country ever came together under a cohesive myth. That myth is gone —along with the country.
Is it allowed to criticize Trump here?
Why don’t you ask your mama? Go back to zero hedge you weak dick.
100. I win
