Although we have NJ city water, I never use my own house water to make beer. The water is nice and clear but the locals use chloramine purifiers. The byproducts will make the beer taste and smell like Band Aid disinfectant.
If you’re gonna brew your own beer be picky about the water. It might be safe to drink alone but if the water ain’t pure filtered and free of of certain contaminants the finished beer can taste like crap.
Pure genius.
