Repress (use force to extinguish alternate views), Suppress (prevent normal expression), Depress (force ‘the other’ into submission by collapsing the Overton Window)… that appears the modus operandi of the mainstream media as we enter the vinegar strokes of this ‘unusual’ presidential election.
Nowhere was this strategy better exhibited than on CNN this week when Christiane Amanpour sparred with Liz Harrington over the Hunter Biden scandal revelations. Amanpour disparaged Harrington as liberals do: “You actually sound like you’re on a Fox News show.”
Translation: you’re spreading crazy conservative conspiracies…
Amanpour then embarrassed herself further as the CNN anchor accused the Trump campaign of “spreading Russian disinformation”…
“Pretty audacious of CNN — who spread actual Russian disinformation w/the leak of the dossier set up briefing in Trump tower to subvert the peaceful transition of power — to accuse anyone else of spreading Russian disinformation. And the emails about the “big guy” are real, btw.”
Harrington added:
“Why don’t you want to report this? This is one of the most powerful families in Washington,” she asked.
“And you’re okay with our interests being sold out to profit Joe Biden and his family, while we’re suffering during a pandemic from communist China?”
Watch the full clip here…
Glenn Greenwald – one of the few ‘reporters’ left – noticed the sham:
“The only silver lining in all of this is that media outlets are so desperate to help Biden win that they’re not even pretending anymore. No pretense. There’s great clarity in that. “
So, with the unquestionable Amanpour having embarrassed herself, here’s another reporter – WSJ’s Kimberley Strassel – showing the world what ‘reporting’ actually should look like…

You know……looking back on their 40 or so years in the business they have always sucked.
Worse now. I’m not sure when exactly but over the past 25 years real reporters have been replaced by political hacks and insiders. People who properly should be guests or commentators now pretend they are journalists and their opinion is “news.”
It’s circle logic. The news agency gives the headline, and then the commentators discuss it in a circle of political hacks among themselves with their own logic. There’s never anyone that disagrees. If someone does disagree, they’re cut off immediately.
They no longer report the news. They report their opinion on the news. They try to tell you what to think about a subject. Believe me, I witness it every day (except Sunday – thank God for a day off.)
Another thing they do, not relevant to this, is they do a story on a business, such as Ancestor.com, which CNN (but they all do it) is currently doing, which isn’t a story but an ad for that company. They make a point of discussing someone discovering their ancestors, usually a minority, as if anyone cares. They do this all the time, trying to convince people it’s “news” and that they should spend money on it. CNN does this with a lot of businesses, ads disguised as news.
They also do this with books they endorse by having the author, usually a political person, appear to talk about some topic, in which they generally state their opinion on the subject, only to push that they’ve written a book – buy it, buy it, buy it.
If you just watch once, you’ll see what they’re doing is blatantly obvious.
Since you mentioned Ancestry.com you reminded me that 23&me sold their DNA data to GlaxoSmithKline last summer.

Yep. And don’t think Ancestry isn’t in on the game.
The MSM business model is to appeal to one tribe or the other. No media outlets have any desire to report news that both tribes might find interesting. The only real journalists left, folks like Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi, have gone independent on their own web sites because the MSM is not interested in real journalism.
I remember as a kid watching the news, usually at my grandmother’s house because she watched it every night, and they read the headlines,, gave a few details and moved on to the next subject, for 30 minutes, including weather and sports, and that was the end of it. That was in the late ’60s. It’s a whole new ballgame now.
24-hour news has destroyed the industry.
My oh my, that Persian bitch with the English accent lost her shit right in front of the whole world. Once everyone with some honesty and integrity goes after the MSM agitprops like this, some of them will be jumping in front of subway trains or jumping off high rise buildings. Maybe some of them will live long enough to hang from lamp posts.
I don’t think there’s near enough lampposts in the world; once you’re done with the MSM; there’s government, Big Pharma, organized Religion, Academia, Big Tech, etc., etc.,
That’s what brick walls and belt fed machines guns are made for.
CNN spreads anything bad about Trump that’s out there, acting like it’s a proven truth when it’s not. But when it comes to Biden, they cover for him mercilessly, always indicating the insinuation against Biden is “without evidence,” even though there’s never “evidence” against Trump but it’s reported as is there were.
The worst on CNN is Brianna Keilar, who constantly calls Trump a liar as she spouts Democrat talking points. She “rolled the tape” on the questions asked by Lesley Stahl but would not provide Trump’s answers, only giving her own summation, which, of course, painted Trump in a bad light, which is a typical tactic on CNN. Because they know the majority of the morons watching won’t look up the video.
These people are Democratic activists “disguised as journalists,” to steal a quote.
