SUNDAY MORNING CLASSICS ON TBP

A collaboration of: “The Classic Music Mafia”
nkit, Austrian Peter, and Steve C.

Every Sunday morning we present selections for our TBP family to enjoy.

We present symphonies, ensembles, quartets, octets, etc.

Not all of our music is strictly ‘classical’. We may stray a little, but we strive to make all of our selections ‘classy’.

We offer tips on proper ‘symphony etiquette’ and even some selections that are a bit light-hearted and fun aimed at a younger audience. Those pieces will be so designated, and might be a good way to introduce kids to a world of music that they might not have been exposed to or think of as old and ‘stuffy’.

A full symphony will run as long as it will. We don’t want to cut a symphony short. However, we also include some shorter pieces that we try to keep under fifteen minutes in length. You can sample each and hopefully find one or more that pleases you.

We hope that you enjoy our Sunday selections.

This One’s For The Kids

“Despacito” and “Lambada”

I want to introduce you to another incredible young lady with a great deal of talent. Her name is Karolina Protsenko. She is a 12 year old, (born 10-3-2008), performing violinist.

She was born to a musical family. Her dad plays guitar and her mother is a pianist.

The family immigrated to the U.S. from Ukraine in 2015 when Karolina was six. She started violin lessons that same year and is classically trained. She began busking in 2017, and by watching her videos, well, she is quite the busker. In less than two years her fan base grew to over five million people in 50 countries.

As an aside, I find it nice to see families such as her coming to our country as opposed to the Mohamedians and feral Africans. The Protsenkos can take care of themselves, and don’t need government handouts. Karolina rakes in more money busking than many of the Africans that come here with their hands out.

Her family resides in Southern California, and she regularly performs in Santa Monica.

This first piece is Karolina playing both “Despacito” and “Lambada” in Santa Monica.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Here she plays “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” accompanied by her mother on keyboards.

And yes, even the dog was AMAZED.

Can’t Help Falling In Love

Lastly, she does an old Elvis hit titled “Can’t Help Falling in Love”

Play it for the kiddos…

ALISON BALSOM – Sound the Trumpet (Royal Music of Purcell & Handel)

The voice with a trumpet gives a unique presentation:
In the year of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, Alison Balsom celebrates the heroic era of the Baroque trumpet in works by George Frideric Handel (1685-1759) and Henry Purcell (1658 or 1659-1695), whose anthems, odes, sinfonias and operas have provided the music for numerous royal celebrations from their own day to the present.

Johann Strauss:Emperor Waltz Op. 437

Berliner Philharmoniker

A truly great piece of music.

The Classic Music Mafia – Adding some class to this joint one Sunday at a time.
