In National Survey Of Favorite Foods, Lukewarm Bowl Of Porridge Wins 80 Million Votes

Via The Babylon Bee

U.S.—In a surprise result from a national survey of favorite foods, the winner, with 80 million votes — blowing away the previous record of 69 million votes — was a lukewarm bowl of porridge. The soggy bowl of chopped grains has apparently exploded in popularity around the country and is now handily the most beloved food of all.

“I’m a little shocked,” said Nicolas Mills, who ran the survey. “I don’t think I’ve ever once seen anyone excited for porridge. Yet you can’t argue with these results. People love themselves a bowl of wheat and barley in milk that’s slightly above room temperature.”

Some think, though, that the result of the vote wasn’t about people’s love of porridge but was instead done to make sure a fried Twinkie wrapped in bacon — which came in second with 74 million votes — didn’t win. Many people thought the fried Twinkie wrapped in bacon was “awesome,” but perhaps an even larger segment thought it was “disgusting” and “obnoxious” and maybe chose the porridge in response.

This isn’t the first national food survey to end in controversy. The 2016 survey was accused of Russian influence in the voting even though Borscht didn’t do particularly well.

This is what happens when you use Dominion voting machines.

The minute you have a computer count the votes, you open up the possibility that its software will be “compromised” to change votes, etc. With the internet and so much more today, it is only that much worse. There are only so many folks you can pay off to rig an election that is hand-counted, and if you make the penalties for cheating unpalatable, it can be reduced to very low numbers.

Again we get back to logistics.

If we cannot secure the votes of 200,000,000 voters (just rounding, don’t criticize), and cannot effectively hand count that many, then we have two choices. Either break up the nation so that vote counts drop to reasonable numbers within the political area (a great idea), or slash the power and control of the federal government so that nobody ever has to worry again about the outcome of a federal election (an even better idea).

Everything that is happening only further supports the idea that our country has become too big, our government too powerful, and its respect for freedom and liberty too insignificant to matter anymore.

Sometimes you simply need to face reality and say “enough is enough.” Even if “your” party is in power. We certainly know that this cannot continue as is.

Liberty – The ’08 financial “crisis” gave us the term Too Big to Fail when talking about big banks.

We have a government that is Too Big to Function. There are similarities between the two.
