My dad always told me that Vegas were junk. Then I met someone who owned one with 300,000 miles on it with no issues. I do remember a time when dropping a small block Chevy in one was popular. Guys in High school would try to get me to drag race them in their little Vegas.

I was a single Dad, and went to buy groceries with my infant son, and when we loaded the groceries into the VEGA, buckled the boy into the carseat, I turned the key and nothing…. the engine seized even tho it was full of oil and coolant, and I’d just replaced the heater core because the radiator was too small so it had to have it to supplement the cooling, and two weeks before that I replaced the tires.
I was broke, had groceries getting hot and a kid that needed diapers changed and no car.
