Signs and Wonders

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

In case you don’t know what condition our condition is in, the name for it is a crisis of legitimacy. Four years of seditious harassment by a “Resistance” within-and-without the US Government culminates in the janky election of a mentally incapable grifter… run by whom? Does anyone seek to know who, exactly, is pulling Joe Biden’s strings? My guess would be…duh… Barack Obama and his posse. When will he be outed? Maybe today… or next week at the latest. Heads will explode to see liberalism’s bowling trophy fall off the national mantelpiece. If you think Nancy Pelosi is running around in a hebephrenic fugue state now, just wait.

A crisis of legitimacy means that citizens have lost faith in their institutions, that is, in the armature of agreements and procedures for running this society. Do you have any idea how much damage RussiaGate did to the country? The three-year-long mind-fuck perpetrated by the highest officials of the FBI and the CIA ruined whatever was left of their reputations. Not only are citizens not safe from the powers of life-and-death vested in these agencies, but they know that officials who wield that power recklessly won’t be held responsible when acting outside the law. Are we any better now than the Russians under Leonid Brezhnev?

UkraineGate and the first Trump impeachment it spawned was a CIA operation that used CIA agent Eric Ciaramella and Intel Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson (a former DOJ RussiaGate player) to cover up the influence-peddling crimes of Joe Biden’s family behind a smokescreen of perfidy fanned over the nation by the notorious RussiaGate liar, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). The State Department assisted in that op, and now the whole country knows that they are also ethically unreliable.

In both of these gigantic flimflams, the president could not get any satisfactory scrutiny of the injuries attempted against him, because the ops were run by the very agencies needed to provide that scrutiny over unlawful official behavior. Did the DOJ and its stepchild, the FBI, show any interest in the recent voting irregularities, or is it just convenient to let it all slide so they can answer to a new president, with a clear and urgent interest in burying the matter?

Is it any wonder that a huge chunk of the population doesn’t believe the election was on-the-level? Federal law enforcement has not revealed the identities of exactly who incited the invasion of the Capitol building — and do you believe who The New York Times and CNN claim it was: white supremacist Nazis? Has it not occurred to the “winner” and his handlers that such a public mood of distrust will thunder through our national affairs going forward?

It’s late in the game but something appears to still be in play, and the Resistance is keenly aware of it: a trove of declassified documents laying out their crimes against their own countrymen. Nothing has stuck to the Resistance because they controlled the levers of adjudication. What if, under the extraordinary conditions of the moment, those levers are transferred to one arm of the government that has not disgraced itself: the military? I wrote in this blog more than once in recent years that political disorder could lead to this. Has that moment come?

Thousands of troops are billeted in and around Washington DC now. Why is that? The figment of more white supremacists coming to reenact last week’s incident at the Capitol? I don’t think so. A BLM / Antifa riot, like the ones staged in cities (including Washington DC) all through the summer and fall? (Weren’t they mostly peaceful?) Or is something else up, something that will mark an epochal shift in the fortunes of the USA?

Did you catch Joe Biden on TV last night? Did his appearance fill you with the sweet, warm unction of reassurance? Or did you get the impression that I got: of a near-mummy in a state of panicky confusion, sent from his hidey-hole out to a podium to give an impersonation of someone in authority? I didn’t believe the performance for a minute. The poor schlemiel is headed straight into history’s discontinued merchandise bin. He will probably wonder what awful vanity propelled him down the memory hole as he descends into the darkness… but his memory preceded him down the memory hole and he will have forgotten how the whole thing started. His exit will be a merciful one compared to the people who trussed him up and shoved him onstage to flesh out their lame narrative.

There are more US soldiers in Wash D.C. right now than there are currently stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined and like their OCONUS counterparts, I bet if you asked any of them what their “mission” is, they would have no idea.

To protect “Democracy.” Except we are the goat humpers in this scenario. Instead of Allahu Akbar, we should yell “Viva Cristo Rey!” since we have a nice little Cristero War looming among other kinds.

The Greatest Show on Earth, Barnum and Bailey can’t hold a candle to this shit show. Guess the pols got a tad frightened when they realized that a real mob could’ve torn them limb from limb and tossed the scraps to the dogs.

They have to let the world know that they will broach no disobedience, no dissent and they have to present the facade that they are legitimate and in control, a show of strength and power. Look. little peons, look at what WE command, what WE control. Don’t even think about resistance, it’s futile. See our power, our Army, of course we’re legitimate, might makes right and we rightfully stole this election. You have no say otherwise, you are silenced. You must obey or else…

I’ve also always thought the military would have to be the final answer. I don’t know if that’s good or bad news. Mattis? Kelly? Petreus? McChrystal? There is plenty of room for doubt and dread.

Within a week, we will know the real answer

If Pieczenik and Wood and Flynn and people like Steele are all wrong, then it will become obvious that the patriot community has been subjected to the most elaborate psychological operation in history. The Q movement will collapse, and people like Pieczenik will be forever blacklisted, exposed as hoaxers and manipulators.

But if they are right, we will witness the most extraordinary turnaround in the history of our nation, and perhaps in the history of the world. Biden will be arrested, the Republic will be saved and the military will uphold the Constitution.

January 19th is National Popcorn Day, so grab your popcorn and get ready for thrills either way.

I listened. Wow, just wow… Sin unchecked has led us down this insane path. While the military might save us from political annihilation the deeper problem will remain, continuing to fester till God has had enough of us. I’ll certainly let out a cheer to see the human devils perp-walked out of the “sacred halls of democracy” (backed by the Pentagram) if only to buy us time to further share the gospel of Christ. I won’t be surprised to learn that “angels” have had Trumps back since the beginning. Peace, safety and all that…

I am so very thankful I can be sure of my eternal destination far away from this temporal shit-show… 😊

If Biden is unlawfully installed on January 20th, here’s what the Right can do on January 21st.
Posted on January 15, 2021 by State of the Nation

LAUNCH A NATIONWIDE ECONOMIC BOYCOTT; Submitted by The Pissed-Off Patriot

If Biden is unlawfully installed on January 20th, here’s what the Right can do on January 21st.

In case y0u don’t know by now, the Democrats have overthrown the Republic.

Their communist takeover is virtually complete, and very few are even aware.

It’s called a soft coup. They stole every election in sight during the 2020 election cycle.

They didn’t even have to do a bolshevik revolution.

Now they’re gonna put their Maoist cultural revolution on steroids.

With that reality check out of the way, Patriots need to respond very, VERY quickly.

The quickest and surest way we can do that is with an Economic Boycott.

That means an immediate disengagement from all of Corporate America that supports this purge of Patriots.

Start buying local … support every mom ‘n pop you can before they’re all gone.

Because a Biden administration is totally illegitimate, folks can stop paying all taxes but only in a way that limits vulnerability

Look, any imposter who steals the POTUS election cannot be allowed to steal our money too. No friggin’ taxation without representation—PERIOD!

Truckers, especially, can refuse to run their routes in all the sanctuary cities.

Now listen up, truckers! On Thursday, January 21st, stop all deliveries to the following Democrat-controlled hellholes.
Washington, DC
New York City
Los Angeles
San Fransisco
Seattle
San Jose
Portland
Philadelphia
Baltimore
Chicago
Detroit
Atlanta
Charlotte
Austin
Houston
New Orleans
Denver
Minneapolis–Saint Paul
Milwaukee

I like the plan, so how do we organize to compensate the truckers who will lose their livelihood. I am not sure something as straightforward as “CrowdFunding for Truckers Who Boycott” is going to stay up long enough to be successful….local…..we have to start small and local. 5 friends could help a local trucker find other work…..besides driving a big rig…unless of course it was parked sideways on a bridge.

And so on, and so forth. You get the picture; boycotts are bullshit, a waste of time, and rarely (if, ever) work.

Uh, no, boycotts do work, just depends on who and what is being boycotted.
I’ve been attempting to reason with a liberal from Oregon, now, unfortunately, living in Texas. Here is a sampling from the conversation…

You can’t rely on anything you read on the internet. Antifa is against violence. They are a bunch of pot-smoking peace-loving aging hippies. In Portland, all of the violence was from neo-Nazi, proud boy, patriot prayer hate groups, with one exception. That one violent antifa guy was arrested. But the neo-Nazi, proud boy, patriot prayer hate groups are quite dangerous. They invaded the BLM protests to raise mayhem and to antagonize the peaceful protesters. They attacked the capital in DC.

Barr was Trump’s lackey and he still claimed the election was fair.

This idiot is now on my ignore list…he was given irrefutable facts and he STILL refused to acknowledge them. Those facts came from the internet, not the MSM so they don’t count. So long as idiots like this are supporting the filth there’s little hope for the country. Hopefully he gets vaccinated soon…..

“Uh, no, boycotts do work, just depends on who and what is being boycotted.”

It depends on what you mean when you say they “do work”. In other words, did the boycott achieve its goals?

— If the goal is to put a company out of business … that never works.

— If the goal is to hurt a company’s bottom line … sure, that works but, usually only temporarily

— If the goal is to change the way a company does business, that rarely works

— If the goal is to bring awareness of a company’s evil practices … that can work, but usually the ones calling for a boycott are just preaching to the choir

Well, at this point in time I’m not real sure about anything working. I am dropping friends, temporarily or permanently, who knows. I can’t comply or pretend to comply or countenance anything that is happening at present, pretending that things are just fine or that some form of normalcy will return is impossible. I feel like a wanderer, a stranger in a strange land, I isolate on purpose, I have nothing to converse about and I really don’t want to be around people at present.
I’m not in a fugue, I’m in a funk. The black pill tastes like shit.

I suffer from Weltschmerz, World pain, grief, world weariness. a deep sadness about the inadequacy or imperfection of the world (tiefe Traurigkeit über die Unzulänglichkeit der Welt). Is there a cure? Not sure.

I recall reading a speech that Elizabeth Cady Stanton gave to congress in 1892, seeking equal rights for women and others of the dispossessed classes. I found her words to be most wise….and depressing. Illusions shattered.

“…When death sunders our nearest ties, alone we sit in the shadows of our affliction. Alike mid the greatest triumphs and darkest tragedies of life we walk alone. On the devine heights of human attainments, eulogized land worshiped as a hero or saint, we stand alone. In ignorance, poverty, and vice, as a pauper or criminal, alone we starve or steal; alone we suffer the sneers and rebuffs of our fellows; alone we are hunted and hounded thro dark courts and alleys, in by-ways and highways; alone we stand in the judgment seat; alone in the prison cell we lament our crimes and misfortunes; alone we expiate them on the gallows. In hours like these we realize the awful solitude of individual life, its pains, its penalties, its responsibilities; hours in which the youngest and most helpless are thrown on their own resources for guidance and consolation. Seeing then that life must ever be a march and a battle, that each soldier must be equipped for his own protection, it is the height of cruelty to rob the individual of a single natural right.”

There is no significant opposition to the coup (or whatever term you want to use) that occurred here in the formally United States. There are a lot of theatrics, miscreants acting afraid, ill tempered folk who hate scammers sitting on their hands, unhappy people who will go along with everything they are told, but no real opposition. None. Not any. The Deep State/NWO/Globalcorportistfinanciers/roll your own term here have proceeded successfully without having to actually DO a thing except lie.

The lies are endured by people who hope to keep getting a piece of the pie, and those that hope to steal a bigger piece of the pie. That is it, in a nutshell. What do yo think will happen when people realize that the pie is shrinking, declining fast in nutritive value, and soon not even going to be there to steal anymore? That is when it will get sporty, and Trump won’t have a thing to do with it.

I really used to like reading Kunstler though I am no lefty. How do you suppose they got to him? It really is too bad.

I just discovered hebephrenia runs in my family and who doesn’t appreciate a lengthy fugue from time to time?

This is not meant to just be a frivolous fly-by. I hope you will watch the video and read the accompanying message, as I have done. I will be back to add some more comments soon.

It occurred to me that “Row, Row, Row your boat” is a fugue and I didn’t know, know, know it.

History doesn’t repeat itself; it segues into polyphonic harmony.

There. I’m off to walk with Geneva, who is the best person God chose to live next door to me. She turned 80 last year and she and I are determined to keep walking until the wall falls down or that eastern sky splits right open. It was last week last year (2020) when her husband Cody was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He died before Mother’s Day and I swore up until two weeks before he passed away that God had healed him. He was never really sick, though he did seem tired.

He was ready to go and I think his family are the finest bunch I’ve seen at a parent’s death.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m beginning to understand why Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

I cooked a strip of venison tenderloin Nick shot last fall and we wondered how they could starve us out. But, I’ve heard of game wardens raiding local landowners freezers if they suspect poaching. We paid a hundred dollar fine because Nick turned in my tag, not realizing the landowner tags are now specific. Seriously, three years ago we had so many landowner tags, I invited people to hunt our land. Now? One buck; one doe per landowner. A couple of turkeys.

And, while there really is a rabbit season? It is always rabbit season.

However, the nice game warden who showed up at our log home before my husband got back from turning in the deer for processing at the local butcher shop said he believed we really did make an honest mistake but he had to give us a fine, but would make it the lowest he felt he could give us (really? isn’t there a $25 my husband is a city slicker dumbass from Cleveland fine in that list go browns?)

So, the processing of the young buck was around a hundred bucks and we froze about 65 pounds of meat (half roasts and stew chunks/half ground no added fat) and kept a lot of bones for dogs. The fine was also a hundred bucks making the meat twice as precious as a lesson to us both. We may not be in the military industrial complex any longer but the revenuers are everywhere, even out here in the suburbs of the sticks.
