Thank you, Steve. Like Gandhi, the man’s cause was just and he paid the ultimate price for it. He was imperfect like the rest of us. But he had big clanking balls that would be awfully nice in present-day America. If we expat, my last stop is the Lorraine.
Downvotes and vitriol incoming because conservatives can’t unite. I don’t hold it against y’all anymore. It is what it is. Or rather, it was what it was.
You got that right.
And you won’t be getting any down votes from me on this…
LOL…do you still believe in the tooth fairy also? Unreal.
AOC – one time we are in disagreement. I think King was an entire piece of shite. He had too many “flaws” to overlook.
He plagiarised his doctoral dissertation, and many of his speeches.
He was a whoremonger, and unfaithful to his wife on untold occasions. He used his fame to pick up countless women. Yep, good Christian that he was.
He was violent with women. Good Christian that he was.
He was a lying, plagiarising, woman beating, whoremongering, hypocritical piece of shit that fooled the world into believing he was something else.
I do not abide such. The hypocrisy and evil of it run far too deep. What you consider balls I consider simply self-serving and reflective of an evil man. He was willing to take chances, and lie, cheat, and steal for all the pussy, fame, benefits it would bring him. That is not balls. That is simply an evil man thinking he could continue to get away with his actions without repercussion.
I have too much respect for you to argue with you. There are some facts in what you said above. Others were spun by those with axes to grind.
We agree to disagree, Chief. I’m just a little Injun. 🙂
EDIT: OK I lied. I responded to you below.
Thank God SOMEBODY has their head screwed on straight here. MLK’s good buddy Rev Ralph Abernathy testified in his own book about how MLK was a violent, whoring, drunk POS. MLK was just another Kamala Harris– a cryptocommie Trojan horse authoritarian getting ready for her close-up.
BEtter yet, read the article from two years ago in Standpoint magazine (UK) “The Troubling Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King” by the Lefty, Pulitzer Prize winning MLK biographer David Garrow.
Corbett does good work. Thanks for posting those. I’ll have something to listen to while I do some chores.
Who has 2 hours to dedicate to this? Summary? Buehler? Anyone?
Me. I just watched the first hour. It made me even more disgusted with the FBI and CIA. Any American who is employed by them – and who claims to be good and decent – is lying if they don’t drop the mic and shun them, pay cuts be damned.
I’m tired of milquetoast pussies.
Thank You.
Just one question: Does he say MLK is generally a good guy, or a bad guy …. or, maybe even a little of both?
He presents the evidence and it is clear he was a good guy. I know quite a bit about King because I revere the cause of peaceful, revolutionary change. He was flawed like the rest of us but certainly no more flawed than you or me.
I believe that each man has one Deadly Sin that haunts him in this life, that serves as the constant internal struggle. Some men are greedy, some lazy, some easy to anger, some lustful. Etc. I know what mine is. Dr. King was no different.
Thanks again.
I feel the same about MLK as you do.
Apparently, there are fuknut nutjobs here who don’t like that “nigger”.
Gee, what a surprise that the word “nigger” would come up when speaking positively about a good black man. NOT!!!!
“a good black man.”
LOL.. an insouciant oxymoron.
What did you admire about him? The adultery? The plagiarism? The participation in or facilitation of rape? The communism?
These are the same jerkoffs who fistbumped Trump then got in the voting booth and voted Biden. Fuck them all to hell …and their filthy whore mothers.
To the Ghost of Dr. King:
I wanted to offer you something you and I both enjoy. Please consider it my parting gift to the cause of peace.
One deadly sin? One? You mean plagiarising, serial lying and theft of ideas, infidelity, whoremongering and woman beating are just one sin?
Seriously, what crap. What that shows is a man benefit of conscience, and one who is evil and interested only in himself, no matter the cost to others.
One sin my ass. By my count he breaks at least 4, perhaps 5, of the Ten Commandments with that shit. One sin?
Religious leader my red ass.
Big Chief,
I believe he was unfaithful. The evidence points in that direction. I believe he was profoundly influenced by German theologians among many others. Did he not give proper attribution? Maybe, maybe not.
The accusation of woman beating and gang-banging came from who? Answer: The same assholes that murdered him. Give me a nickel for every time the Federal Bureau of Terrorists lie, deceive and murder and I’d be a billionaire.
By definition, a man only interested in himself would not risk his life every day for 10-15 years to effect peaceful change. He knew he was a dead man walking. That is selfless by definition.
Everyone has bad and good. Everyone. George Washington was a good man, Big Chief. Did you know where he got some of his teeth for his non-wooden dentures?
How did Ben Franklin score war funds in Paris? What did he do to get it? How about the gravedigging he and his son-in-law were doing back home?
At what point does John 8:7 become meaningful?
His plagiarism of his dissertation and many of his speeches is irrefutable. Not maybe, maybe not. Irrefutable. An independent enquiry after his death found “substantial issues”. He would never have gotten his doctorate if it had been discovered.
His whoremongering and infidelity is also indisputable, and the woman beating generally well established.
Re risking his, life, it was for his own motives, and for what taking the risk brought him personally – Pussy! Fame! Benefits galore!
He was a piece of shit.
The woman beating is NOT “well-established”. It was “established” by the fucking FBI. They threw more shit at that man and wanted to see what would stick. Ultimately not much did, at least not enough to get him to kill himself. If we’re talking hypocrisy, think about a faggot mommy’s boy FBI Director banging his subordinate and throwing stones at MLK.
I agree with you on the infidelity though. And again I would ask you: When does John 8:7 come into play? I personally sin every day. And I would also state that I haven’t accomplished even 10% of what he did in his life.
But maybe that’s just me.
Cmon, Chief, you know he didn’t risk his life to get moar pussy. That’s weak, sir! 🙂
Not just the pussy. Watermelon, and fried chicken, too.
I’m going to miss you when I go dark for sure. (Unless Trump grows a pair and does some skull-thumping.)
Really and truly. Your posts changed me over the years for the better. Got me through a lot of nasty shit.
You can use a vpn. Going dark will not help now. The digital trail if any is already there.
Would be extremely sorry to see you go.
Ralph Abernathy was witness to MLK’s drunken, whiting violence. He wrote about it in his book. Can’t stand the purposefully ignorant MLK cucks. What abject fools/idiots.
Here is a summary, for what it’s worth. The video is not about MLK or his legacy. The first 10 min or so shows a couple of clips of speeches particularly about his anti-war beliefs. He had too much of a following and this was dangerous to the MIC. Much of what is in the documentary is based on author Dr William Pepper’s 3 books on the assassination and interviews with him. It seems pretty thorough as the books were written over the course of 40 years as he gathered more evidence. Corbett tries very hard to be objective in his reporting. So you would not know for sure how he really feels about MLK because the documentary is not about him. You do, however see how emotionally attached to MLK the author was. He says they were close friends. Evidence shows the same people behind JFK and RFK are the same perps behind MLK. James Earl Ray, while no angel, was no where near the hotel at the time of the shooting. He was the proverbial patsy. Because I’m in an ornery mood, I will not tell you who made sure that he died. He wasn’t dead when he arrived at the hospital and they were trying to save him but the staff was forced to leave the ER room where they were working on him. This is based on two witnesses, one who was in the ER and also the son of one of the perpetrators. Someone else might tell you, though. 😉
Thank you for that Mary Christine.
I was waiting for someone to write about what was actually in the video.
It just goes to show how few people that responded to this actually watched it.
I echo Steve’s sentiment …. thanks VERY MUCH for the summary. Very nice of you. I owe you a good GERMAN beer.
I love beer. I’m on Keto so no beer🙁 I’ll take a raincheck.
The gun that Ray allegedly used does not even match the ballistics evidence from the near-fatal bullet.
What a shocker, right?
I can’t imagine working for the FBI. Imagine having to walk into your HQ which is named after a fag cross-dresser who lived with his mommy well into his adult years, and who was banging his Assistant Director. Gross!
Maybe it’s just me and I have a little bit more pride though. Their seal – Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity – just makes me LOL every time I see it. And to think in my younger years I actually contemplated joining. What a naive idiot I was.
Lord knows who else they’ve murdered other than MLK and JFK.
I believe there was a time when you had to be an attorney to be considered to be an FBI agent.
Not any more…
Weren’t we all.
Good to hear from you AOC.
Seriously, I wonder what MLK would think about BLM.
My gut feel is he would reject them.
Of course he would reject them as Gandhi would have. Actions speak louder than words. He had plenty of time to call for retribution against those who attacked his home, his integrity, and who threatened him daily. He was not Malcolm X.
AOC- Malcolm X wasn’t even Malcolm X.
Happy Martin Luther the Kang Day!
Weez waz kangs an sheet!
I feel MLK was assassinated due to him starting to speak out against the war in Vietnam, just my thoughts.
I remember the time of King’s death quite well. I had recently returned from a one year tour of duty in Vietnam, during which I traveled all over the country, from Danang to the delta many times. My duties involved coordination between our Air Force forces and both civilians and agencies of the SVN gov’t. Therefor I had plenty of opportunity to see and hear what was going on over there and how events in the USA were having many effects on our efforts in country. I and those with whom I worked knew of the anti war demonstrations in the States, and the highly visible celebrities and others calling the American troops traitors and murderers. We also saw how these efforts were simply encouraging the VC an NV troops to kill more of us and drive us out of their country. For us over there the question was not whether we were for or against the conflict there, it was whether we were going to do the job of arresting the flow of communism in SE Asia and get back home safely. Many Americans did not and those losses can be attributed to the intensity of the anti war effort in the States. MLK was just one of those agitators.
The way the Nam vets were treated was deplorable. The Peace Movement was likely coopted just like the TEA Party and Occupy Wall Street. And likely by government actors.
Dr. King was not Hanoi Jane. Conservatives need to be careful about lumping all “agitators” together lest they present themselves as similar to the current crop of liberal tyrants.
Plus the vicious incipient communist in sheep’s clothing.
King was a nigger tool used by the communists to destabilize America. When they got what they wanted they disposed of him like they always do with useful idiots.
Then I guess I’m a Communist like King and Gandhi. Could’ve fooled anyone who knows me though. They say that I am so far to the right that I’m part left.
Yup. Brainwashed won’t see it, but eventually it won’t matter because they will no longer be able to ignore reality.
Take a lesson from Theoden at Helm’s Deep. Christians must hang together, or surely they will hang separately.
There was no one Smokey hated more than MLK. I would always provoke him with positive stories about MLK on this day. I should find some of his comments.
Jim this is great. What do I need to do to get 100 downvotes before the 20th???
Well,AOC,gave you one because,well……..,seems you asked for it!
I need moar. Thank yewwwww!
I keep trying but I’m falling flat. I need more shit stirring lessons, I guess.
There you go. Just one lil voice here but my one downvote is immeasureable. I sense the avalanche…
I regret I have but one downvote to give you.
I need moar. Thank yewwwww!
Or: Please sir. May I have another.
That would be fun! I saw some of Smokey’s comments years ago when I was still a lurker. There were some real flame fests back then.
Admin – just about to say the same thing. And he would have laid waste to AOC and the others. It would have been epic.
I think I missed Smokey or at least don’t recall much about him. Llpoh, wouldn’t it have been nice if that were our major concern? Getting smoked by Smokey instead of getting marched to FEMA camps?
God bless, sir.
I’m not sure what to think about MLK. I’ve heard both the legends and the other side that Overthecliff mentioned. The truth lies somewhere in between, most likely.
I’d like to know the truth about MalcomX.
MC- Malcolm X’s real name was Malcolm Little. He spent 7 years in prison as a yute, started robbing stores before age 11. The boule recruited him for the upcoming racial equality theatrical play starring MLK. Kinda like Puff Daddy , they get their talent from the penal system and hold returning to prison over their heads.
Try reading an article from the horse’s mouth: “The Troubling Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King” by MLK’s Pulitzer Prize winning author David Garrow at Standpoint magazine from two years ago.
He may have been a good man, I don’t know. I was just a teenager when he left this world. I know that the people he supposedly represented have not advanced at all since then – in fact- may have devolved, as a function of their own choosing. We used to call them Negroes since that was the scientific name applied to them. I was known as a Caucasian but have no idea why it was that term that was settled on. Since then, they have been officially called soul brothers/sisters, blacks, Afro-Americans, colored people, people of color, etc., but they they still call each other nigger. Who is the official at the top of their race that makes these decisions? Is it an elected position? Do they all agree on the solutions to the many problems they face? Believe it or not, I was taught that you should not judge a person on appearances, but they seem to want to be judged that way. So to be inoffensive, I don’t know what to call them so I have decided to not call them anything. If I have no interaction with them, I have no problem.

mlk & the nature of law”
some of this could apply to people on our side who are considering breaking unust laws–

It appears to me that among the sea of critical thinkers at this website, we also have those who prefer hanging on to their prejudices and hateful rhetoric. It saddens me to see.
MLK was a principled man and he knew there was a good chance he would die for those principles. But he never wavered. Was he a perfect human? Certainly not as he was human.
Hard to find that kind of integrity anymore. Down votes are welcome; just shows your evilness and heartlessness.

All by design. Thanks, LBJ! Everything the Democrats touch turns to garbage and 90% of them are too subhuman to even realize it.
Garbage and subhuman.
Diversity is NOT a strength. We should have picked our own cotton. Now America is and has been bending over backwards to make things right, we are exterminating ourselves. Stoopid.
The other non-european slave nations got it right. They didn’t committ hara kiri.
Hara kiri by ugga bugga!
