Hey TBP’ers. Below is a video we made about how shopping for things on that dastardly “AMZN” has become a total shit-show. We blame it on “Fulfillment by AMZN” (FBA), as well as the thousands of wannabe “resellers” that buy Chinese crap in bulk from places like AliBaba, then re-sell them here in America.
Please check it out.
Help a fellow TBP’er out – subscribe!
Also – for the love of God, please also subscribe to my channel over there – and watch a few more videos. We’ve been on that stupid network for almost three years – posted around 400 videos – and only have 140 subscribers. WTF?
Meanwhile – dopey kids playing with SLIME are making SEVEN-FIGURES!
I just like talking about things I believe in – and can either vouch for – or speak truthfully about. Apparently, the rest of the world only cares about retarded mind-numbing garbage.
Amazon is an absolute trash shopping website. Hilariously bad reviews that clearly don’t even discuss the actual product being sold. Search results plastered with “sponsored products”. Search results full of irrelevant items. A giant mess of sellers. Rampant insane price gouging. Items costing more in quantities of 4 or 10 than they do for a single unit. It is so bad you would have no trouble believing that if there was a web back in the 1980’s, this would have been the official soviet union shopping site.

Thank you so much! I’m realizing that it’s next to impossible to reach people on that platform. Crazy. Maybe one day.
I noticed the same thing a few weeks ago when shopping for refrigerator water filters. All of these similar sounding names with similar descriptions and specifications. NONE of the sites mentioned country of origin, but if you looked in the Q&A, there you would find they are made in P R C Peoples Republic of China.
Maybe this is the moment when the tide turns? Who knows.
New Jersey is the dirty anus of the Universe. Trust me I know.
There are still diamonds in the rough.
Belvedere aint too bad.
Except for a small number of people who have a LOT more money, the American consumer buys almost exclusively on price. Not quality, not country-of-origin (as a plus or a minus) not filtering for real small business, not to do business with friends, family or neighbors. Price is (for all intents and purposes as demonstrated by behavior and regardless of statements otherwise) the first and last thing considered when making purchases. If you were smoking Marlboro Reds at $6.95, you will scheme hard to find them cheaper, or buy American Spirit. Same thing for batteries, pick-up trucks, milk, chain saws, and on and on. There are about 5 billion people all over the world who want to sell you some cheap, useless shit, and Prime will get it to you tomorrow!
Amazon is a despicable company run by despicable people who depend on the consumer not giving a damn how despicable they are as long as that price is cheap. Nobody has to do business with Amazon, but a whole lot of people sure choose to. Cancel Prime today, and never order Amazon again. Don’t make a big deal of it, just disappear off the rolls of active customers. You will get along just fine.
“…the American consumer buys almost exclusively on price.”
+1 gazillion.
Was a car salesman for a measly 3 months. One week of classroom training from some company specializing in auto sales. Here is what the 5 days covered; PAYMENTS, PAYMENTS, PAYMENTS, PAYMENTS AND PAYMENTS.
Indeed, people NEVER gave a flying fuck about total cost of ownership. Ever. This led to them more often than not getting fucked up the ass. The good salesmen got those “marks” to enjoy it.
People make even far dumber dumb-shit decisions when getting a mortgage.
I sold furniture for La-Z-Boy for about 3 years once. We would have sales meetings of which the whole point was to talk about selling people shit they didn’t need and shit they didn’t want. Those companies really don’t give a fu*k. It is all about numbers , numbers, numbers. So glad I don’t have to do that anymore.
What in Amerika isn’t about numbers? Even organized religion.
If you walk in and want to pay cash they treat you like a leper.
I never say that until it is time to pay. when they ask how much I can afford a month, I tell them it depends on the car. Never, Never tell them how much you are willing to pay or how much you have to spend.
I used to always tell them it was none of their business on how much money I had to spend.
I usually get a new car every five years. I used to trade the old one in on the new one. About 15 years ago on a purchase the dealer had all paperwork done with the trade calculated in. I told them no I wasn’t going to trade the car as we needed a second car, so the “old” one, 5 years old was going to be the second car. When they reworked the paper work the new car cost the same as if they took the trade in. Haven’t traded since. I keep the old car for another five years and then flog it off myself. I still buy every five years but at my age that will soon be coming to an end.
Called me unamerican when we last paid cash for a car.
I must be a freak.
It’s hard to fight against that crazy easy return policy. We get our money back minutes after UPS picks up the box (which is free to return). Until someone comes up with a similar inventory and returns – what are your options?
Njroute22, Ok…briefly…
You and I subsidize Amazon’s free shipping. Coming and going.
I’ve used Amazon b4 but will not again. Except for finding businesses selling what I desire. Case in point, a Friedrich dehumidifier. I identify the seller via amazon, go to the sellers website, pay a mere ten bucks more and it ships free anyway.
If someone buys garbage and needs to return it then perhaps STOP buying garbage. Simple, huh?
NJ, It is obvious from your comment that you are owned. Go give your Daddy Jeff Bezos a kiss on your way to bed, now!
Cancel Prime for sure. To give $125 away just to maybe get slightly faster shipping…unless you’re in rural America, where AMZ just dumps product to the USPS and you’ll very likely have to pick it up there anyway. By all means work a little and seek out alternate companies for your purchases. You won’t be able to always find an alternative, but every purchase made elsewhere is part of the resistance.
There must be a reason for so few subscribers. Right? Here are some ideas.
1) Your website name sucks. Really. Anything with “NJ” in it is going to keep a lot of people from even clicking on it. I mean, if I live in CA, why would I want to click on a site that seems to be about NJ? Hell, I live in NJ, and even I don’t want to click on it.
You then further narrow the list of possible readers by adding “Route22”. Who the hell gives a damn about Route 22??? No one.
You can blow this off as irrelevant. But, I’ll tell you what. When I search on “top 100 conservative web sites”, for example, you can bet your sweet ass I click on those that SOUND interesting. Your web site name says nothing and means nothing to most people.
2) Lose the dark glasses. You look like a gangsta. Many people instinctively don’t like speakers who wear dark glasses …. it gives the appearance you’re hiding something.
3) Memorize your script! How hard can it be? Your vids are mostly under 5 minutes. While hidden from sight, you are clearly reading …and the constant glancing down is annoying.
4) Stop the herky jerky body movements. Folding your arms is interpreted as being aggressive, rude, … rubbings your hands together gives the appearance of nervousness, fear …. all of that is distracting.
5) INVEST MONEY IN A SPEAKING COACH.
Have a professional speaker/presenter review your vids. You will probably gain a huge return on your investment with just a few sessions. Join Toastmasters! I was a member for a few years. There is no better way to fine hone your speaking skills. Not trying to bust your balls, but you do need a fair amount of improvement. Really. The good news is that it’s not that hard.
6) Feel free to tell me to “fuck off” and mind my own business. Nevertheless, I made the time and effort to give (hopefully) helpful criticism.
I appreciate the criticism. A lot of people have said lose the glasses. Not sure I want to get in the facial recognition database . Don’t forget – one 10 million+ blogger wore glasses all the time…
But thanks for the tip with the reading. I don’t have a script – just bullet points. Most is improvised. I’ll probably get a teleprompter app for a tablet and put that next to the camera.
Anyway – I get less that an hour a week of free time to shoot these videos on a green screen in my garage. So I do everything first take, etc. You should have seen the first few videos – I’ve improved over time at least.
You’re attempting and that is a huge leap over me and most of us.
Honestly, you might owe Stucky a few hundred credits as a business consultant.
It shows.
I find it hard to believe that your daily routine is so absolutely filled to the brim with activities that you only have less than an hour A WEEK to run a YouTube channel.
I would’ve turned you off in the first couple of seconds but only forced myself through your 5 minutes of disjointed dialog because you identified yourself as a TBP’r. You could of summed that all up in 30 seconds.
Your channel is supposedly relaying news, just tell the facts.
Stucky made a lot of good points.
No shit, even the 20 dollar chef has more everything.
The best channel name or excellence in speaking isn’t going to help if your content sucks. I am on Youtube often and am currently subscribed to 57 channels. I subscribe to specific interests I have, music, investing, woodworking, auto mechanics, antiques, construction, firearms, car reviews, etc. These are experts in their fields.
Who are you trying to appeal to? Your content just seems like an average persons opinion on random subjects. Sorry, nothing special there.

With children’s games like “grab the poo” selling on Amazon it is hard to compete with games of yore. Here’s an idea for a grosser game: Smell the dirty hamper. Ok, market it and roll in the dough and don’t forget a slice for me and admin since you heard it here first.

Every. Single. Time.
I don’t support company’s that openly degrade me and my beliefs, I know a lot of people don’t have a problem with a company telling them they are a worthless p.o.s. and they still patronize them.
Maybe it’s time to develop a short-list of alternatives – and make it a “sticky post” on this site. Perhaps I’ll write another post asking for suggestions. All the pros and cons should be considered (like policies, prices, etc.)
A lot of people like to be abused in real life. Well they don’t stop it, so it feeds some need, right? ;0
Let me get this straight…what am I subscribing to?

Painful to watch.
Anyone notice the occasional product, like a used mass market paperback, that pops up with a price in the stratosphere? I get curious to know if the item is actually worth $900, or if you get a bale of weed in the box when you order.
They really ought to be getting raked over the coals for the blatant fake products they sell.
Also, I can’t figure out how they get away with selling seeds, plants, and other agricultural products that are coming from Vietnam, China, the Philippines, etc in violation of Customs and Dept of Ag rules.
