This article is addressed to law enforcement officers, but will also be of interest to members of the military in their various roles. For the purposes of this article, I’ll just use the broad term, law enforcement, if you will forgive me. I’m not in law enforcement, but I am thankfully the beneficiary of good law enforcement in society, as are our other readers. Obviously, some bad things happened in 2020 in the law enforcement universe, what with all the riots and support of the riots by liberals. Our National Guard was also insulted during the inauguration just recently. My purpose here is to suggest a remedial course of action that has no doubt occurred to you, and I prompt you to explore this option, with your family.
Why a Law Enforcement Career?
I am sure you got into law enforcement for a very good reason. Maybe your family has a history in law enforcement. Or you preemptively joined the good side before the bad side got its hooks into you. Or you took the bait at the local police job fair. Or you wanted to make your mama proud! Lots of good reasons for that career choice.
But there are some assumptions you made, subconsciously. First, you assumed that the legal system is fair and just, and would put the bad guys away. You assumed that the people you work for are fair and just. You assumed that politics might affect the higher ups, but would pass by you on street duty. And you assumed that your profession would be seen as fair and just by the public, and that society’s other institutions believed and would promote that view. You assumed that your department would support you no matter what.
All those assumptions have been true in the past, but not today, at least not all the time, and you cannot know exactly when and where they will be true. Have you felt that you are perched in a precarious position, balanced between violent criminals, a suspicious public, a hostile news media, and administrators who are too ready to take a scalp, or make a scapegoat?
The purpose of law enforcement has changed, and the change is accelerating. No longer “to protect and to serve” the public, the purpose is to protect and serve politicians, and not even the good politicians, but the most slimy and cowardly of the bunch, especially in larger jurisdictions. That’s your job, to make bad politicians look good.
Those politicians manufacture crises one after another, to expand their power and control, and every crisis needs a response. You are that response.
The response could be enforcing silly mask mandates, working security for a dirtbag elected official, confiscating guns, releasing criminals into the population, manning a barrier fence, taking a brick to the helmet in a mostly peaceful protest, or standing down in the face of obvious crime. You are that response, and if you have a problem with it there’s the door.
Of course only some officers are called on to perform these responses, but that number is rising. Years ago, the job was the job and most of it was out in the open. Not today. Times are changing.
Tip of the Spear
When situations turn dangerous, you are expected to be in the front of the crowd. You are the tip of the spear in every difficult situation, and the spear is very long, miles long, and is being wielded by a pack of pencil neck politicians hiding in their safe spaces. You are the tip of the spear.
Now if you are the tip of the spear and your commanders are people of honor, you are just doing your duty. That has traditionally been the job. But if you are the tip of the spear and your commanders are political hacks, you are being used.
The politicians in our country are intentionally jacking up unstable groups to do violence. Could be Antifa or BLM one week, and the KKK the next. They love all these fringe groups, and particularly like antagonizing right-leaning groups. They love crazed individuals off their meds. The fear mongering in the news, the shifting standards, and the garbage on the Internet are intended to wind people up so tight that they will snap at the smallest provocation. When they snap, it’s your problem.
The politicians are however not counting on you to defuse the situation, but to play your supporting role in a huge mess that has no solution. The politicians love no-win situations where they ride to the rescue with more government, more laws, more regulations, and more societal manipulation and division. They love it. They care not about the injuries or funerals of law enforcement officers, except to televise them for more political capital.
Do you see where this is all going, societally? Sooner rather than later you will be forcing people to obey new laws that are opposed to our Constitution, and edicts from petty state dictators. You may have received such orders already. The politicians have your paycheck and pension to hold over your head to make you abandon your principles, especially if jobs or food are scarce. Will you do that?
Will you allow yourself to be used like this? Just for a pension check?
With each Clinton election, and each Obama election, I spoke with military people who bailed out rather than see our military misused and degraded. After the mostly peaceful riots and defunding pushes last year, many police officers took retirement or switched to other careers. Law enforcement people are smart, and they are trained by real life to look ahead in time, and see around corners. Turn on your antennae and tune up those hairs on the back of your neck. See what’s coming your way. Do you really want to be the tip of the spear wielded by cowards from their hiding holes to oppress freedom loving Americans?

Gift Wrapping Included
I am going to zoom out to the wide angle view now and show you something that has happened over the last century, and it involves you directly. You may not have noticed this, being so close to the action. Here’s the principle:
Every welfare state comes gift wrapped in a police state.
You’ll see it’s true from your experience on the street as I explain.
Some countries start out as welfare states, and we know that as communism. The communists have the police state ready to go right out of the gate, because people want to be free, not enslaved, and they will fight back. The police state keeps the lid on the population initially until they are settled sheep in their small lives. The police state stays on the job indefinitely to keep the people in line, and servile to government.
In America, it has worked a little differently. Our socialism has come on gradually, starting in earnest 100 years ago. At each phase of increasing economic slavery society reacted negatively, and the politicians responded with stricter laws and increases in police force. For example, government has replaced fathers in black families with welfare dependency payments, and fatherless boys (of any color) being untrained by a strong hand do crime. Government demonstrates equity by enslaving people of all colors today, and it compensates for the crime with more police action. The welfare state and the police state thus increase in lock step.
Before the welfare state, the black family was largely intact. Today, we have about 1.5 million black men in prison. A huge fraction of black children are born out of wedlock. We cannot ever squash the crime in the welfare state because it strips humans of humanity, and the reaction is violence.
If the politicians ever wanted to stop crime, the best tool is a father and an earned paycheck. But they don’t want to stop crime, they want to ratchet it up so they have a reason to grow government.
If BLM is sick of seeing young black men to go prison, there’s one easy solution. Give up those EBT cards and go to work. But BLM does not want any solution to anything because that would stop the gravy train.
A young person making career choices sees, through a peephole, the need for more law enforcement to address increasing crime, but they never make the broader connection that the intentionally growing welfare state requires a growing police state to keep the whole scam from flying apart. So that person sincerely makes the noble choice for a career in law enforcement.
Pause for a moment and take a look at your own career, and where you are now in the big picture. The politicians are growing the welfare state like a malignant tumor. They are importing poor people from other countries to put on welfare. You’ve met them on your beat. Welfare is economic slavery, and slaves do revolt. On the 100 year timeline of socialism in America, there you are, on the street dealing with the fallout of greedy politicians stealing freedom from what could have been hard working Americans, but who instead are living in hell hole public housing projects. That’s you, right there, helping that politician who cannot even change a tire keep his last campaign promise to make our streets safer, knowing that our streets will never be safer. Nor does he want them to be safer.
No wonder many police officers suffer from PTSD. We are now a government of by and for the government, and they don’t care about you or me.
Every welfare state comes gift wrapped in a police state. That’s the plan. Our current level of crime is no surprise and no accident. The crime allows the politicians to build up the police state and drill into the police that everyone is a potential criminal so that when the time comes the police state can be used to completely strip law abiding citizens of their rights. That’s the plan.
Step Away to Real Life
Are you ready to step out of your role in this moronic drama? As a citizen seeing the big picture and how this is damaging real people in law enforcement I ask you to step out of it now. I know several people in law enforcement and the military and when I ask them how the job’s going they just roll their eyes.
Our politicians have effectively nullified the Constitution. You and I do not have any rights left, and only for the most minor of offenses is there the illusion of justice, and then only if you can afford the proper attorney. We both know that if one of us became inconvenient for the powers that be they could detain us indefinitely, or make us disappear.
Here’s where we really need you. In smaller communities nationwide there are groups of freedom loving people who still believe in America’s founding principles. They will welcome law enforcement officers, honorable, decent people who respect others’ rights. In those communities your contribution will be valued, and you will be respected. You will be key in building stronger communities that can stand up to the encroachment of state and national rights-strippers. Crime is low there because people are free. You will not be the sacrificial tip of the spear for a pile of shallow politicians, but a leader in your community. You will be instrumental in helping young people grow into responsible adults, not carting them to jail after they do crime in a gang.
There might not be enough jobs in heartland law enforcement after a million readers take my prompt and move to real America! What else could you do? Do private investigative work, or private security, or be an expert witness, or a firearms dealer, gunsmith or trainer, or a security consultant. You have skills, you show up on time, you understand the value of training, you are honest and loyal and strong, and you can learn what you need to get the job done. Or retool to a totally different career. What’s your dream? Your future is bright.
Have you considered taking your family and your skills to real America? Get out of the big city and let the welfare state run its due course. Its fate is sealed, but yours is in your hands. We need men and women of honor who are tired of being used and tired of being the tip of the coward’s spear. Will you join us? While we have no name, no organization, and no web site, we’re everywhere in flyover America, and of every color. We love freedom. We are simply Americans. If the politicians want to stage riots for the evening news, make those cowards do it themselves. Come help rebuild America.

That should start a cop to thinking if any are reading this. It goes along with something said by a character in a Lee Child novel who says something like this:
” Why do people join the military?
1. Its a family trade, their father was a soldier
2. They are patriots who want to serve their country.
3. They just needed a job and the military was hiring.
4. Some just want a legal means of killing people.”
In the case of #4, for cops, change that to a legal means of herding people or bossing them around on some pretext. It’s a desire to become an authority figure. I don’t think that many (or any) cops would have wanted a legal means of killing people, though some take a job as cops after having been in the military.
Anyway, it would be good if lots of LE people would read this and start thinking.
I just talked to my kids about some people who want to be in a position of authority so they can boss people around. Many security guards have the Napolean complex.

The LE’s of character are being removed. They either retire early or look elsewhere for work or get fired for being conservative. They are replaced by goons who will do the bidding of their masters. Look at the military, Obama weeded out all the decent officers and replaced them with political drones who follow the party line. The rank and file troops are also going through the vetting process and those loyal to the Constitution are being weeded out and replaced by foreigners and gang bangers.
What we have in this country is a coup and a takeover by the Leftist Party aka: Democrats. There is no bi-party, it is one big, corrupt leftist party and anyone who can’t see what is happening under their noses is an idiot.

Good article with good points. Truth is, there are law enforcement members who would likely never otherwise have been able to command any position of power or authority in their lives and joining the force satisfies this deficiency and lack of importance. That badge gives them a false sense of self importance. And some individuals just crave exercising power/authority over their fellow men and inevitably always abuse that power. The other issue ,as Upton Sinclair once quoted – ‘ It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it ‘
As a young teenager for some unknown reason I was targeted by a local LEO and went thru multiple harassing issues . He liked to show off his power and authority over people . Fortunately I was strong enough to fend off this shit bag with a badge . Here I am 50 years later and still will never speak to or trust LEO’s
Most I knew that I can say we’re not bad cops or dedicated they liked starting a job in their early 20’s and are able to retire in their early 40’s !
That’s not dedication that’s the parasitic nature of government employment !
THe money is going away, the pension will be an unfulfilled promise. The few friends you have outside of LE (you call them civilians if they are white) will drift away, and the “friends” you have inside LE will grow more suspicious and self-protective as things degrade. Evictions, warrants for missing traffic court, pulling duty at the middle school, this is NOT what you had in mind, is it?
Walk before they make you run, especially you young guys. It is only going to get harder and pay less.
Cops will never listen.
Remember what the nazis said at the Nuremberg trials. Just because you were ordered to do something doesn’t mean you can’t say no. the cops are going to eventually see a lot of civil disobedience soon. People only take so much crap.

This letter is clearly by someone who has no idea what real LE is, who real LE are and why they do what they do.
Maybe not idiotic, but you’re absolutely right about LEOs (and EMTs). They see the things nobody in civilized society wants to even think about. But more importantly, none of this open letter is even necessary. Police who are douches (few in my experience) and police who are good, proud protectors of the public (many in my experience) will be who they are and continue to do what they do without any overly-long open letter “explaining” it to them. Good or bad, it’s already baked in the cake.

Too many laws. Too many unconstitutional laws.
Most young people I ever talked that wanted (or did) go into “LE” wanted to wear a gun, a uniform and to be intimidating – essentially “to tell people what to do”. These folks really get a power rush from the intimidation factor – they crave it like any drug.
There is an esprit de corps among police; a brotherhood that supports other police even when it shouldn’t; that justifies even the unjustifiable when engaged in by a member of the brotherhood; a belief in their own separateness, “specialness” and a belief that they are apart from the law that applies only to those outside the brotherhood.
This, in itself, is not the problem; and is to be expected if not encouraged somewhat.
The problem arises when these conceptions are shared by the courts. Courts that are supposed to limit the power and authority of police and to hold law enforcers accountable for actions outside those rightful limits. When judges, juries, and (especially) prosecutors also hold police to be separate and apart from the laws that apply to others, a society loses the “Rule of Law” and endorses the “Rule of Men”. The (‘Rule of’) men who are held to be a breed apart, special, superior, and infallible by most courts in the nation, and this often in direct contradiction to reality.
Further, Peel’s Principles of Policing includes this doozy:
In a just society, 100% enforcement of unjust laws would raise awareness of the unjustness of the law and result in its re-writing or repeal.
In our society, this specific Principle of Peel’s only stands to justify that which was held unjustifiable at Nuremberg … i.e., “Just follovink ordars!”. This, of course, leaves police in the untenable position of enforcing unjust laws that will never be revoked due to their injustice, or quitting the force only to be replaced by someone of more malleable principles who will indeed “follow orders”; a situation that makes matters worse for everyone.
The fault lies not with police but with courts (read “Lawyers”) and with politicians. And, by “politicians” I mean “voters”.
Qualified immunity needs to go , far too many LEO’s that should be fired with extreme prejudiced hide behind this and the system aids the worst in law enforcement to remain on the job . Add that blue line to never rat out another officer and you end up with a gang of thugs that harass & collect not serve & protect
Waste of “ink”. The badgemonkeys don’t listen to “open letters”. They listen to the people who sign their checks, the people who give them dental insurance, the people who grant them “qualified immunity” so they can break the law, violate rights and commit murder with impunity.
The majority of them become badgemonkeys because it gives them the opportunity to satisfy their sociopathic need to tell other people what to do. They aren’t clever enough to become politicians and dictate to THOUSANDS of people so they pin on a badge so they can dictate to people one or two at a time.
There are NO GOOD COPS…there are the bad cops who lie, cheat, steal, break the law and abuse citizens…..and there are the bad cops who stand around and watch all this without doing a damn thing about it. And as long as the status quo continues, as long as they suffer no personal consequences for their sociopathic behaviors in aiding the criminal elite they have no reason, no impetus to change. And the ONLY people who can force them to change their outlook is “we the people”. And doing so will not be easy, pleasant or peaceful.

Of course there are bad, awful cops. But there are many right now that despise what is going on if they work in Megacity USA and are looking for a way out, or maybe just a good reason to bail. The author made a great case to move to Heartland places (they ARE real) that are now looking to be Sanctuary Counties or Cities. And I would bet that their City Councils, Police Chiefs and Sherrifs would love to have them.
I’m not going to quibble with the no good cops…his generalization holds.
One of the riskiest things anyone can do is to interact with cops, for any reason. Traffic stops, the casual good morning Mr Policeman, or calling them for assistance because you were robbed can all result in you ending up dead.
It is very dangerous, at the best of times, to interact with them.. When they accidently kill you, because they enter the wrong house, mistake your ham sandwich for a gun, or think you scratching your ass was an aggressive move, they almost never get prosecuted, much less convicted.
Cops are what they are because their job is to police your ass. They use you as revenue streams to pay their wages (asset forfeiture, anyone?).
Every tyrant and despot turns to the police to do their most dirty and foul deeds. They are accustomed to putting their boots on the throats of the people.
Just ask yourself – how are they able to get cops to harass old women, pregnant women, kids, businesses, etc. for not wearing masks or for trying to survive when their businesses have been closed by some despot governor? It takes a specially kind of evil bastard to do that. And the cops will do it without asking a single question.

The author states that we are in the end stages of the take over and, as Stephen Molyneaux has stated, they want us dead. We are the enemy and we must be destroyed. Except for the premature obituary for “the Marxist ideal,” that paragraph is spot-on. Progressive Leftism is a religion, with all the attendant characteristics: Dogma, the treatment of heathens, heretics, and apostates, indulgences, all of it. Government is God, legislators are the angels (remember, Satan and his demons were once angels), the “news” media are the clergy, and we proles are the laypeople, the heathens, the apostates and the heretics.
