ROCKY MOUNTAIN COVIDIOCY

“In reading The History of Nations, we find that, like individuals, they have their whims and their peculiarities, their seasons of excitement and recklessness, when they care not what they do. We find that whole communities suddenly fix their minds upon one object and go mad in its pursuit; that millions of people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first.” Charles MacKay,  Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds

Once again, our country and most of the people, have fixed upon the delusion of dying from a non-lethal flu, while simultaneously allowing their liberties and freedoms to be crushed by totalitarian politicians, conspiring with Big Pharma, Big Media and billionaire oligarchs. Time for another story of the covidiocy engulfing our nation of obedient sheep as we enter year two of this descent into madness. I’ve previously documented the pathetic mentally deficient state of the ignorant fearful masses on trips to Cape May Lighthouse State Park and Valley Forge National Park. The sad part is the picture below isn’t actually a joke. We’ve all seen freaks like this driving with a mask and/or face shield alone in their car. These people are mentally unstable and shouldn’t be allowed in public.

Why are people wearing face masks while driving alone in their cars? - Quora

It had been a year and half since we had seen our oldest son. We last saw him and his wife in Loveland, Colorado in September 2019 at their wedding. He was supposed to fly home a few times, but the scamdemic and job issues interfered with those plans. My wife saw ridiculously low airfares on Southwest and booked a four day trip for last weekend. So, my wife and two other sons embarked on our first flight during this ridiculous exercise in fear over an extremely non-lethal flu.

I have rarely worn a mask in the last year and never for more than 30 minutes. The only way we were getting to Denver was by wearing a freaking mask for about six hours straight. So I bit the bullet and put my Covid-1984 mask on at the airport and didn’t remove it until we arrived at the rental car place in Denver. The flight was uneventful, but wearing a mask that long must be unhealthy.

Amazon.com: Covid 1984 Mask: Home & Kitchen

Remember the days when you’d get a full-fledged heated meal on a three and a half hour flight? Now you get a glass of ice water and a minuscule packet of pretzels. Not even a damn soda. As we were boarding the stewardess looked at my mask and asked what it meant. I said it was referring to Orwell’s 1984 and she said Oh. I don’t think she understood the point. Later on the trip a guy took a picture of the mask while we were on the train shuttle between gates. He was probably sending it to someone with the comment that he was with one of those “conspiracy nuts”.

After getting our rental SUV, we zipped up to Loveland in about an hour and met my son for lunch in downtown Loveland. This was our first experience with the restaurant scene in Colorado. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table at 11:45 am. If everyone is frightened of this “disease”, why are they packing restaurants. But at least we kept each other safe by wearing masks as we walked to the table and then immediately take them off. The idiocy of this rule is epic. Later that night we tried three different casual dining places and were told a 45 minute wait at each. This told me that people must no longer be afraid. I was actually happy to see this. At least we had time to watch a nice sunset in the parking lot.

I wasn’t so happy later that night. We’ve stayed at the same hotel on our trips to Colorado. The rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent. Using Covid as an excuse, no more breakfast buffet. They put out paper bags and you can grab a frozen Jimmy Dean sausage, egg and cheese croissant and a yogurt. They used to have coffee available 24 hours per day. Now they have it from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. After a long day of travel, we went to bed before 10:00.

Then the fun began. At 11:00 pm it sounded like a van load of illegal immigrants had invaded our hallway. There was screaming, yelling and banging on doors. They sounded drunk. It died down for awhile and we got back to sleep. Round two started at 1:00 am with more screaming and banging on doors. Round three commenced at 3:00 am. These lowlifes are simply rude hispanic trash. If this is the diversity Biden and his handlers are promoting, our future sure is bleak. These people will never assimilate and live according to our social norms.

The next day we followed my son to Lory State Park, west of Fort Collins, and near the Horsetooth Reservoir. As with most drives in this part of the country it is scenic. Even though it was 65 degrees, the reservoir was still frozen. I guess the -20 degree temperatures a few weeks ago had frozen all bodies of water solid.

Many of the trails were closed but we were able to find a few that were passable. The first one we tried got dicier as we wound our way up the narrow path. Eventually it turned to all ice, so we reversed course.

When we moved to the next trail, we came across this warning. I already know what I’d do if I met a mountain lion – I’d probably crap my pants. These aren’t the kind of posters you see in my suburban enclave. The biggest danger is crossing paths with a skunk.

My wife was just happy to have all her boys together again. After a wasted year of government mandated bullshit, it was just great to have us all reunited again. It’s lucky she picked last weekend, because they are having two feet of snow today and tomorrow. That wouldn’t have been fun.

I also think it’s time to squelch the rumor that I forced Dani to crop this picture so my pandemic belly would not be visible. I’m a dude. I couldn’t possibly be that vain. It’s also only a rumor that I’ve gone on a diet as soon as we got home. I guess those fried chicken sandwiches (with bacon) and double cheeseburgers (with bacon) weren’t all that healthy. Who knew?

After a good night sleep, with no Mexicans roaming the hallways, we decided to drive up to Estes Park, a quaint little town nestled on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is about 30 miles from Loveland on Route 34. The 45 minute drive winds upward through canyons, mountains, and a river that runs through it along the entire route. We saw dozens of fly fisherman trying to land some rainbow trout along the recently thawed river.

The closer you get to Estes Park, the more spectacular the views. The majestic Rocky Mountains rise above the horizon and you swear you can hear John Denver crooning in the distance.

This is the view as you come into the town of Estes Park. There aren’t many more beautiful views anywhere in America. But, these distant views are much more inspiring than what we witnessed in the town.

In my mind I always thought Colorado was populated by lovers of the outdoors, who hunted, skied, and generally had a frontier mindset. And maybe that was so at one time. But not anymore. At least not in Estes Park. There is one main corridor that only extends for several blocks. It’s mostly restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and tourist traps selling souvenirs and tee shirts. There was one shop that drew our attention – the Elkins Whiskey store. We decided to buy my oldest son a bottle as a gift for entertaining us for a few days. Then my other two sons decided they’d like a bottle. So three bottles it was.

A few bad experiences with whiskey during my lifetime (involving blackouts and projectile vomit) have made me a non-whiskey drinker, but I guess young people haven’t learned my lessons yet. It did make me reminisce back to the days when buying them Hot Wheels cars and baseball cards made them happy. Those days are a distant fading memory. I guess that’s life.

We never wear masks when walking outside. It was sixty degrees and sunny. Only a covidiot would be frightened of fresh air and sunshine. It was terribly disconcerting and sad to see 90% of the people walking around Estes Park fully masked. It’s inexplicable to me that all these people are so fearful and/or so subservient to governmental authority. They don’t have to wear masks while walking outdoors, but they choose to.

I guess this is a credit to the government/media propaganda machine that has created this hysteria of irrational fear. Edward Bernays’ decomposed carcass must be so proud. There certainly was no frontier spirit or critical thinking among the populace of Estes Park. Cowardice, obedience, and unquestioning belief in governmental authority rules our world today. After a couple New Belgium beers and another unhealthy sandwich on an outdoor patio of a local eatery, we headed back to Loveland.

On Monday we killed time, stopped at my sons condo to say goodbye, and headed off to the airport for what we hoped would be an uneventful flight home. It was not to be. Everything went smoothly as far as check-in and boarding the plane. I planned on working on an article while in-flight so I asked Dani if I could have the inside window seat. Best move I ever made. Except that there wasn’t enough room for me to open the laptop. I was left to reading Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land.

Dani, on the other hand, sitting in the middle seat, was left with the unknown of who might plop down beside her. She hit the jackpot. An old dude who had the gift of gab. Within ten minutes he had told her his life story and showed her about five hundred pictures on his phone. You know the type. Sitting next to an extrovert who must talk is my worst nightmare. She tried to draw me into his vortex, but I just pretended to read, while snickering to myself under my mask. I don’t think I’ll ever get the window seat ever again.

But this was just the under-card to the main event which was about to be unleashed with the fury of a BLM riot. All of a sudden, ten rows ahead, a ghetto trash Laquisha began shrieking at the top of her lungs about the white guy  next to her kicking her bag. It was as if he had murdered her baby daddy. Within seconds, the entire plane knew that it was a $3,000 carry bag that had been rudely and purposely kicked by the evil white dude. I’m guessing the bag cost less than $100.

She continued to shriek and wail for at least ten minutes. All the stewardesses and stewards tried to calm her down, but she began accusing them of treating her with disrespect. If I had been close enough to record it, it would be the viral video of the week on the internet. She was low class and thought using her black privilege to make a scene would get the guy kicked off the flight and/or get her bumped up to a front of the plane seat. Security eventually arrived and began assessing the situation as she continued to loudly make whatever point she was trying to make. It looked like she had won when the guy was escorted off the flight.

Then the tide turned. The security lady began interviewing the shrew and those around her. After getting the picture, she told the lady to get up and depart the flight. She gathered up a shitload of bags and other crap. The guy probably couldn’t avoid kicking some of her stuff. To our delight, the white dude was then brought back onto the flight and took his seat again. The stewardess eventually took the microphone and without fanfare apologized and said she hoped the rest of the flight might be less eventful.

The plane exploded in applause, except for the three black people in the seats directly in front of me. Who knows what happened to Ms. ghetto trash, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she used the race card to get a free ticket. All I know is we were delayed 45 minutes and I ended up going to bed at 12:30 rather than 11:45. This is why I hate to travel and mingle with the ignorant masses. The covidiocy runs deep and makes many sheep actually think they are being patriots by masking and obeying. It gives their pathetic lives meaning to have a cause, no matter how ridiculous and at odds with the founding principles of this country.

We’ve endured a year of this tyrannical bullshit jammed down our throats by corrupt low IQ politicians, the corporate mass media propaganda machine, pretend medical experts like that troll Fauci and dangerous sociopath Gates, and fear mongering Karens across the land. And now Dementia Joe has been instructed by his handlers (Obama & Rice) that if we bow down and obey like good little servants we might be able to have three people over on the 4th of July for a hotdog and burger.

It’s past time to heed Charles Mackay’s advice and stop being cowards. Burn the damn masks. Become an enemy of the state and start disregarding their un-Constitutional mandates and regulations. Call out their lies. Make their lives miserable. Take back your country. They will not willingly restore your freedoms. They love this totalitarian control over your life. The time has come for real resistance.

“You have no enemies, you say? Alas, my friend, the boast is poor. He who has mingled in the fray of duty that the brave endure, must have made foes. If you have none, small is the work that you have done. You’ve hit no traitor on the hip. You’ve dashed no cup from perjured lip. You’ve never turned the wrong to right. You’ve been a coward in the fight.” Charles Mackay

It may look bleak today, but every individual act of disobeying these psychopaths in suits might inspire another act of disobedience. And before long the tide will have turned and enough individuals will have come to their senses to reverse this descent into madness. Our choices are liberty or bowing down to Gates, Schwab and the rest of the Davos devils. It won’t be easy, but what other course do freedom loving citizens have? Buckle up. The fight has just begun.

Bill Gates says lessons from the fight against AIDS can help us beat coronavirus | World Economic Forum

“Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, one by one.”

Ive been travelling the entire scandemic. Hotels with breakfast are a mixed bag. Ive stayed in some that cancel it and will not let you serve your own coffee…. Others the food preparer would actually serve you the breakfast. Varies from state to state.

I do instrumentation service in a few labs that test for covid. Most of the techs dont wear mask in the lab in general, nor do I. I know one lab where they entire lab got the coof. None of them wear mask now. One tech got both the mrna shots, and still got the coof.

Wow you found hotels serving breakfast? I have stayed at 6 hotels in the last year and they were all fucking stupid.

But, in SD this summer, I was at a wonderful packed restaurant for breakfast where not a single person was wearing a fucking mask. It was the only normal public experience I have had in a year.

Let’s look at this from a different perspective.
God’s or a biblical one.
Do you really think God gives a rat’s fanny about mask or no mask?
He’s much more concerned about our heart’s than our masks.
It’s really more an issue of personal pride than anything else.
Don’t let it go before a fall.

The mask is an outward sign of allegiance to the beast system. It’s not the mark, it is a step on that path. The VAXEDcine is the second step. So, walk with the beast as long you like.

By that standard not wanting to be anally raped is an issue of personal pride.

I do not wear a mask because I am neither sick, nor fearful of becoming sick. That’s all the reasons I need and neither of them have anything to do with pride, but with simple logic. To behave in an illogical fashion at the behest of a stranger seems to be a singularly foolish course of action, but everyone is free to do whatever they like.

I’ve done what I’ve always done when there is a bad flu around, wash my hands more often, don’t touch my face unless I wash my hands first, stay home if I feel like I’m getting sick, hold my breath and turn away when somebody coughs or sneezes. Easy stuff, and it works very well.

One of the most visible, early turning points in Colorado’s path downward was the 1970’s voter rejection of the Winter Olympics to have been held at various venues in the state. Not passing judgement one way or the other, just observing how the collective thought process had by then undergone major change. The cancer really had taken hold by 2008 when the DNC showed up in Denver and gave the country the Chocolate Jesus.

attempting to pull my wife’s leg by stating that the grey snow on the mountains was concrete poured to prevent erosion and rock slides. A person nearby asked really? To which I affirmed. If one says things with conviction people believe you.

I proposed to my wife on a rock near a stream at Sprague Lake in the park over 3 decades ago. We visit that spot every year.

I promised my wife I would behave this one time, but every minute is painful. i find myself almost hoping that they will follow through on the gun bans. That is a line I won’t cross. I find it unfathomable that so many people are OK with this. Sheeple indeed. If another person tells me to “stay safe” I will scream. Fuck that. Stay free.

So Texas is mask mandate free, except at the discretion of the business. I head out to discover that there were a couple of places that required the mask and one BBQ place that didn’t. Outside in the nursery, fresh air and all, 95% wore a mask. I was the only one in the BBQ place sans mask. Thirty plus people all covered up and….me. This entire Covid deal has merely reinforced what I’ve already known: most people are blisteringly stupid. Truly stupid and easily manipulated.

Then you have this happy event in Texas, courtesy of Bank America, a stupid cop, a stubborn woman and a truly brain dead populace……

Private property owner’s reserve the right to require a mask on their own property whether the public agrees or not.
I don’t agree with BoA’s policy but would honor the property owner’s request out of respect for their private property rights or I would go elsewhere.
The police are simply responding to a trespass or request to leave private property complaint and are unfortunately put in the middle.

Interesting comment, Spaniel. About a year ago I read an opinion about how Charles Schwab is essentially now a bank-they still conduct a brokerage business, but their thrust has decidedly changed to that of a bank. An interesting observation: a few days after the first indication of financial stresses with the massive shorting of zombie companies I received a promotion from Schwab to do more banking business with them. The irony: Schwab was one of the several brokerages that had repeatedly denied access to their customers for trading purposes. One has to wonder how bad they are hurting?

Apple’s and oranges. Public vs. Private property rights. They have every right to ask you to leave for no shirt, no shoes, no thongs, loitering, being boisterous etc… Just like you do on your own private property. No mask as well.
If she wanted her money put on a mask or walk through the drive thru, get your money, close your account and go elsewhere.
If she refuses to honor their rules on private property and leave on request she gets arrested for trespass. If she resists she gets arrested for that too.
The officer was being very reasonable and giving her every opportunity to comply or leave and she chose to do neither.
This is completely on her.

No, you can’t discriminate as such because it is Constitutionally protected. Thus, neither can private entities discriminate ate on other characteristics protected in the Constitution. Once you break through the mental barrier implanted by the education system, it is clear.

Private establishment owners have the right to not allow firearms on their premises and we have the right to frequent a different establishment.
Whatever rights we require another property owner to relinquish we are bound by the same authority to relinquish it ourselves on our own property.
It goes both ways.
The right to require a mask or not require one should be the property owner’s right and no one else’s including the government’s.

In the real world discrimination is a survival mechanism, it’s also how groups of like minded people come together, they use their powers of discrimination.

The entire argument in the U.S. today is a result of what people did in the past, which was to exclude an entire class of people from public life. The only reason they were so successful at it was they had the government on their side, when the government was required to be neutral.

I thought, in my youth, that surely by the 21st Century, people would understand that what people do, and how they do it, are much more important that skin color or ethnic group or national origin.

And I really hoped the government would see the error of it’s ways and be neutral as the law requires.

Why is this so difficult?
You can’t throw someone out of your private establishment soley because of their race or gender. They were born that way and biologically have literally no control over that. That is discrimination.

Private establishment owners can and alway have been able to set dress code and behavior standards on their premises that if not adhered to can allow them to require you to leave on their demand.

If you choose not to the owner is not required to perpetually tolerate you an an have forcibly removed.

Nothing new here.

Freedom of association is a First Amendment right.

Does the First Amendment Protect the Freedom of Association?

Legally, the freedom of association is considered to be a fundamental right protected by the Constitution. In the Supreme Court case of N.A.A.C.P. v. Alabama(1958), a unanimous Court ruled that the NAACP did not have to reveal to the Alabama attorney general the names and addresses of the NAACP members in the state because it would violate the NAACP members’ freedom of association. Writing for the Court, Justice John Marshall Harlan II said in the decision that immunity from state scrutiny of membership lists … is here so related to the right of members to pursue their lawful private interests privately and to associate freely with others in so doing as to come within the protection of the Fourteenth Amendment. [Alabama] has fallen short of showing a controlling justification for the deterrent effect on the free enjoyment of the right to associate which disclosure of membership lists is likely to have….

Freedom to engage in association for the advancement of beliefs and ideas is an inseparable aspect of the “liberty” ensured by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”

Private property rights are lost when either the owner of the property is NOT human (a corporation), or when the private human owner accepts a license to engage in commerce which REQUIRES the acceptance of a corporate government issued ID.

Because these corporations exist only because of a government issued privilege, they can no longer be considered “private”. They are government created entities, thus REQUIRED to accept the same limitations that government itself has.

To believe otherwise is just plain dumb, and saying that government itself has no limits. It is that boneheaded belief in the nonexistent omnipotence of government and the idiots that work in it that have brought us to here…..

Ask a libertarian about liberty and corporations making rules like this. Tyranny by government is bad, but tyranny by corporations is good, if you are a lolbertardian.

I don’t think too many people are seeing the deliberate coordination between government and business to completely undermine liberty, autonomy (KANT), and freedom in general. The only thing less accountable than democracy is a “public-private partnership” within it.

Another concept that is important to keep in mind is that coordination does not require direct communication. You are not going to find a Rothschild or Warburg or even Soros giving orders to anyone. The oligarchs who will benefit by pleasing those people already generally know what they want. The same goes for institutions.

I listened to the voice of my inner counsel and committed serious resistance last Friday night. For the first time in a year, I went to my favorite restaurant in search of some delicious oyster butter bombs and was greeted by the owner, who offered a bear hug, (horror of horrors). Then I took a seat in a very crowded room. I was maskless, as was every single person in the place. Ah Liberation. I noticed a wonderful thing: that everyone in there was smiling nonstop and having the time of his or her life.

This event occurred in the South Kingdom of Gavin I, despite the fact he decreed double masking a few days prior. I’m sure some are following this order, but I haven’t encountered any.

After these transgressions, I waited all week to develop Covid, but remain healthy. The hill I will die on is required vaccination. Gates comes from a long line of Eugenicists. See James Corbett for details. These fools breathing in the poisons their bodies are trying to expel are committing a slow suicide. So, if you’re going to reduce the population why start with the best and brightest? If you wanted to reduce the dog population would you start with the $5,000 pedigree breeds? So, fuck em. I do feel for the children all masked up but, here again, there is a logical, if cruel rationale. If their parents don’t take the simplest measures to ensure their health, listen to any of the many Tom Woods podcasts on the subject say, then how smart can their kids be? Probably because the PhDs are so cowed into thinking they will lose their job/career/money/prestige/whatever if they don’t goosestep to the one-worlder tune…the “bottom enders” probably aren’t as interested in the money and prestige and “What would my group think if I went against the grain!?” type stuff…plus, in general, I’ve found the majority of(though not necessarily most) PhD types, while very good in their area of expertise, need to watch youtube videos on how to tie your shoes every morning – they’re not exactly brimming with common sense. I’m not saying all of them, just more often than not…but something tells me you already know that, Doc!

Estes Park is a beautiful place.

We have taught all the Laquishas of the world that the louder they claim to be oppressed, the more respect and attention they will get. By giving in and bending over backwards to accommodate them every time, they have learned their behaviors. Except for antifa / BLM types who are all of the Laquisha tribe, the world has tired of them. Good people of all races have tired of them. Respect is earned, and only then is it given.

On masks; my wife gets a little edgy when we go out – me not sporting an exterior diaper. She thinks people look at me with disdain for not following mandates. Some do, no doubt. Many, however – especially the men – look at me with envy, as if they can’t nut up and do the same. Life has become far too easy here, I don’t know that we have the numbers to destroy this unbridled communist attack. Live your life, God will surely sort this out.

I had a 3 hour conversation with my father yesterday. He keeps saying the Lord will take care of this. LMAO. Have you ever noticed the Bible is full of war. There are even plenty of Christian songs about war, like “Onward Christian Soldiers”. Nope, it is time to stand up and be counted, the best way you can. Christians need to purchase the book “Rules for Radicals” and start hitting back as best we can.

I laughed when I read the skunk vs mountain lion bit. Now, I have some experience with both, and I would suggest that it is not a clear cut decision as to which I would sooner encounter. If you know anything about skunks, you would understand what I mean. Sure, mountain lions can tear you up. But skunks can make your life a living hell for a long time, and don’t forget they are often rabid.

Holy cow, I had a skunk make me do a 3-meter horizontal jump one time when I worked at a hotel. I came around the corner near the dumpster, armed with only a Mag-Lite, and something went STTT-STT-STT-STT at me; then came the Olympic long jump. Once I saw what it was I chased it away, but the little bastard would still only run a few feet at a time and then spin around with its teeth bared. We have lots of skunks and possums in this area of the world, and while they’re related they couldn’t be any more different in their actions.

Having said that, I don’t think I’d be chasing the mountain lions away if presented with the same set of circumstance.

When it lifts its tail and points it’s ass at you, that is when YOU need to turn and run away. It only runs a few feet because it knows most critters know better than to mess with it, and so rarely has to flee. You are lucky to have escaped without being perfumed. Your story would be quite different had that happened!

Skunks make great pets, however, but those stink glands have to be removed ofc. I knew a guy who had two skunks and a ferret, and they were like watching otters at play when they would, wrapping around each other and such, and then there were those seeeerious moments, when they’d square off at one another with their hackles raised. You know how animals are.

And yeah, if I’d been sprayed that story of mine wouldn’t be a laugher now, that shit ain’t funny. My brother ran afoul (pun intended) of one and had to take baths in tomato juice for three days. Afterward, I told him he still stank and should continue the fruit baths until further notice, but that’s just what brothers do. Anyway, he can smell a skunk if it’s within 100 yards of him now, so I guess that’s a good thing.

I am starting to wonder if the “elites” consider the masses to be human at all. Like in Dune, “This is a test to see if you are human, young Atreides. ” They don’t act like thinking autonomous people. They act like directionless animals running hiding from their own humanity.

I had this thought after considering how absolutely ridiculous this whole charade has been, and the pathetic level (or absence) critical thought applied to it. I do not understand how people from the most modest to the most intelligent fail to see how completely unnatural the entire event has been. Nothing has ever been attempted like this before, and it went off without a hitch. This is how weakened and pathetic most of humanity is.

I see arguments, where none are warranted. The acceptance of the absurd as an appropriate target of rhetoric is insane and disturbing. The appropriate response to absurdity is to ignore it, or label it as absurd, yet I see vast amounts of energy expended on debating it.

Maybe this is just me coming to terms with just how dissapointing people are. Maybe I am just finally gowing up in this regard. I have always had trouble admitting to myself just how stupid people are. I am no exception, but I meant in a general way. I have spent my whole life imagining people a bit smarter and more balanced than they are, and I really don’t think it has been a successful strategy. So like many people here are saying, I will continue to focus on working on me and mine because that is the only thing I can do.

For those that read Knuckeldragging, he has a really cool article about a couple of fighter pilots in ‘Nam keeping their cool and focusing only on the things they COULD do to survive.

How old were you when you got your IQ tested? I was pretty young. I think the test measures learning potential more than anything else. They certainly can’t claim to test all types of human intelligence., and I think it’s certainly possible to ruin a potentially good brain.

Have people been IQ tested repeatedly as they age to see if the results change? Can a 10 year old who seems like a genius turn into a dolt?

Anyway, I can’t answer your question because I don’t know anybody’s IQ. Not even my own. Nobody ever told me.

Jim,
The northern Front Range, from Colorado Springs to Wellington just above Fort Collins and the I-70 Corridor from Denver west to Glenwood Springs, including the Roaring Fork Valley, ie. Aspen is a nightmare. Over crowded and filled with wokesters that can’t live without the face diaper. Estes Park has beautiful vistas but is a giant tourist trap, has been for years. I live in metro Denver and cannot take anymore. When my 90 year old father passes I’m off to Wyoming, the Dakotas or the Panhandle of Nebraska. There are parts of Colorado that I will always miss and if you know where to go there are places that are still untouched by the crowds and inhabited by people with common sense, good manners and a strong sense of Liberty. I spent Monday and Tuesday in one of those places, Walden, CO. Took my last ice fishing trip of the season and enjoyed good conversation with the proprietors of several restaurants, a convenience store and the motel where I stayed. Nobody required masks but, said wear one if you want. None of them, with one exception, sported a face diaper. The town was quiet, its a small ranching community and caters in the summer and fall to fishermen and hunters. Winter sees an influx of snowmobilers but is fairly quiet. This time of year, late winter/ early spring is mud and calving season so it’s pretty much just the locals. If you ever want to see what Colorado used to be that’s where to go, it’s like going back in time 60 years. These are from last May but gives you an idea of what I mean. This is the Colorado I still love and will always miss.

That moose looks very much like the one standing about 10 feet in front of my door last year. The scary part about their fur is that it completly absorbs all of the light from your headlights. They have a habit of standing in the middle of the road, and you just can’t see them at night. Because they have such long spindly legs, their body mass is above the hood on cars, and so when hit – their bodies shear the windshield and A-frame right off. This tends to decapitate anybody in the front seat, and if the car is going fast enough, those in the back seat as well. I respond to 3 or 4 moose collisions a year, and if it’s not a truck or a Swedish car, it’s usually a grim scene. Sweden mandates all cars to be designed to withstand a moose strike, and I will say that if you live in Moose country and you are not a fan of trucks, get a Swedish car.

Yep, luckily I never hit one of them. Look closely at the the first pic with me holding the fish. If you look at the bumper of the truck you’ll see a crack containing deer hair. A small doe ran on to the hiway I was traveling just before I arrived at the lake. Happened so fast that I was just starting to brake as I hit her. Needless to say it killed her but just a small deer caused over $5000 in damage to my truck.

When I lived in Northern BC the moose are a big problem in winters especially. Black as spades and white legs. They travel roads because they lick the salt and roads are corridors that the nice humans plow and clear for them. In the north you drive slower, not just because of icy roads… but rather those large wandering black barriers. They sure are tasty tho.

Beautiful writing, Admin! Deeply consoling! You are as necessary to society as Emerson.

It’s nice to open up an article and be refreshed by it, amused by it, and never repelled by anything in it. These days are not the days of rightness and modesty but rather days where spiteful, rude, and fearful bootlickers run crazilly all about seeking and demanding safety from all of society and above all acceptance from their own tribe.

Emerson:

“In every work of genius we recognize our own rejected thoughts. They come back to us with a certain alienated majesty.”

“To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all … That is genius.”

“Speak your latent conviction, and it shall be the universal sense; for the inmost in due time becomes the outmost.”

“Whoso would be a man, must be a nonconformist.”

Charles Capper, Professor of History, Boston University:

“Emerson opposed mass-party politics because it was based on nothing more than numbers and majority rule, and he was hostile to mass culture because it was based on manufactured entertainments. Both, he believed, distracted people from the real questions of spiritual health and social justice. Like some critics today, he believed that mass society breeds intellectual mediocrity and conformity. He argued that it produces soft, weak men and women, more prone to whine and whimper than to embrace great challenges.

“Emerson took as his mission the task of lifting people out of the mass and turning them into robust, sturdy individuals who could face life with confidence. While he held out the possibility of such transcendence to all Americans, he knew that not all would respond. He assured those who did that they would achieve greatness and become “guides, redeemers, and benefactors” whose personal transformations and leadership would rescue democracy. Thus if “Self-Reliance” is a pep talk in support for nonconformists, it is also a manual on how to live for those who seek to be individuals in a mass society.”

One critic has called Emerson’s work “deeply unconsoling.”

All well and good, except for his association with the anti-White Boston Brahmin Trancendentalists who supported and idolized terrorist John Brown who butchered his own people.

The CDC said, “Quit buying masks, they don’t work for viruses. If they did we would have recommended them long ago.”

They intend tyranny. They tried in the ’60s and failed, but they don’t give up.

It’s a clear choice, even if policy choices are murky. It’s a choice of tyranny or individual liberty.

If you trust bureaucrats to make policy choices that have the force of law (according to SCOTUS), you should stop and learn more about the results of policies set by bureaucrats.

Whether putting up with the unavoidable hassles at most jobs,
interacting with the public service sector,

“I knew that I’d have to occasionally put up with a certain amount of bullshit from time to time.

But because of its size, a minor player can weave in and out and take away impressive amounts of money, if they have a good strategy and learn some simple discipline. And if a young person can learn to do that, there are your entrepreneurs of tomorrow, same skill set. All we have to do is destroy the monopolies and give them a shot

What I understand is you can go to prison for 10 years in New Zealand or Australia for merely watching that video. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to see it, but I was curious as to why it would be such a major offense to merely watch it. it was an eye-opening experience. For the first time in my life I realized how much damage a single sick individual could do with what I consider a fairly routine firearm with a few 30 round magazines. And second, I realized how our present situation is going to be resolved. I’m a peaceful man, as I imagine everyone here is. but we are a country of 330 million people. My state has stayed open. All this shit is stuff you hear about on TV. But a lot of people got abused. In a population of 330 million people there are some that will figure this out. Bezos is a parasite. Bezos is a cancer. I thought I would relate a little incident that happened last night. We were out for a birthday celebration at a restaurant in an area where I did not expect to be a minority. I guess I just was not as familiar with the area as I should have been or I would have refused to eat there. We arrived a little early and waited at the bar for our friends. There was only one table besides ours, as far as I could see, where there were other white people and they left shortly after we arrived.

Anyway while at the bar a couple of people sat down next to my husband. One of them was heard to say that their stimi check was already in the bank. Then he said “Now if we can just get reparations”.

I don’t plan on doing anymore flying. I’ve hated it ever since 9/11. I haven’t flown since the plandemic. I don’t plan to, either. They can kick you off anytime for any reason. Then you are stranded and probably on youtube. No thanks. I’ll drive.

Wyoming caught the worst of it Thank God. Colorado front range still took a hit but if that low would have set up about 90 miles south of where it did things would really be ugly in Denver right now. Just finished digging my Dad out in Wheat Ridge and I’m guessing he has about 20 to 24 inches.

My best friend lives in Co. outside of Boulder so have visited many a time and seen some great shows at Red Rocks.

One time while heading into Estes the road was blocked by about 20 mule deer, hit the horn/no response so said “Fuck It”,put in Motley Crues “Primal Scream at full volume windows down, still, they did not move!I finally got out of vehicle and slapped em in the ass to get moving, worked.

I really need to get a hunting tag out there someday!

On our annual migration from ID to AZ, we spent two months hiking in UT. The only people wearing masks on the trails were young people in their 20’s and 30’s. Most of the people 40+ were maskless like us, and it was nice to be able to say hello and have a brief chat with some of them. The mask wearers would recoil in horror and try to get past us as fast as possible like we were Ebola carriers. There were mostly CO, CA, and OR license plates in those trailhead parking areas.

Robert, you need a nice travel trailer, a loaded RV Van, or a class A or C. Go where you want, as you want, wearing what you want, with pets, grandkids, neighbors, etc. You can fix a great breakfast anytime you want, and it is peaceful, relaxing, and has the potential to be anonymous. I have always hated flying, and I damn sure wouldn’t climb in a plane/jet now. The level of nitwits allowed in that sealed metal tube with you is frightening. It will escalate with the craziness tolerance. I know that flying is quick, but is it really? Time to and from the airport, getting your government sanctioned molestation, and that is if there isn’t some crazy with an ax to grind. RVs are really a throw back to civilized Pan Am, circa 1955.

Funny, I was just out your way last week. My business partner and I flew into Philly and drove into Mechanicsburg. Got all our work done 2 days so we headed out Wednesday morning. Took the chocolate tour in Hershey and then spend a couple of hours that afternoon wandering around Valley Forge. Pretty damn good trip and no real nonsense. Stayed in an VRBO house…so we didn’t have to deal with hotel nonsense. 3 bedroom right on the river in Harrisburg for $95 a night. That’s the way to travel.

Uh…no.

I’d say 50/50…so not too bad.

Jesus, we would seem like a different species (a sniveling, useless one) to those men.

Admin . . . I sorta drifted out while reading, was really “there”, aided by pictures and picturesque language, but one thing shook me out of my daydream, and it distills to this:

Hot wheels – baseball cards – whiskey = same thing, except that one is not for children.

They’re still using the bogus test, right? The one that produces at least 70% false positives the way they use it?

Admin, Stranger In A Strange Land is a very timely book to read. If Jesus himself appeared and told the masses they did not need to fear the bug and wear the mask; I suspect he would be arrested and killed.

I know an old Cowboy (Boomer) who never goes anywhere without his trademark sombrero, pistola and boots (it’s an image thing).
Yet, if I would have told him 18 months ago that he would wear a mask where he was told to he would have thought it as ridiculous of an idea as him wearing a mini-skirt with the rest of his uniform.
That is the reality we are dealing with and people are sorting themselves out at a record pace these days. Or at least it’s becoming quite clear to everyone else.

First, you were from out of state, in Estes Park. Well, so was everyone you met there. Damn few real Coloradoans wear a mask if they aren’t forbidden from entering an establishment without one. Blame our POS Governor. And, POS local officials.
Second, as to a lot of your other complaints, see above. Most of the locals don’t want these uninformed policies, either. You said, “In my mind I always thought Colorado was populated by lovers of the outdoors, who hunted, skied, and generally had a frontier mindset.” And you were absolutely right. See above about Estes Park, the premier tourist trap of Colorado. Trust me, almost all of the locals look at those driving in their cars, windows up, wearing a face mask and face shield. I used to raise sheep in Michigan, I think I recognized some of them. Except that sheep, while truly dumb, aren’t that dumb. All I’m saying, is cut the rest of Colorado some slack. We’re actually just like you, but with better scenery. Y’all are welcome back anytime.

Thought I’d escape the mask trap when Gov. Abbot declared masks were no longer necessary
in Texas. Unfortunately he forgot to tell us individual businesses are free to demand you wear a
mask. In my Democrat-controlled town every major outlet demands you wear a mask.

Oh, yes our CO governor is an idiot! As are those that listen to him. He has declared a “non-meat” day March 20th. (Cattle are our number one ag product.) The governor color codes our permitted activities and has mandated masks forever. Out east in the Ranchland we don’t pay any attention to all his covid nonsense. Our sheriff said it was up to his constituents to decide whether they carry a gun or wear a mask. No one wears masks. The schools are open and in person. Meetings, church and other activities are continuing (without anyone’s permission). We only notice the “nonsense” when we go to the city.

First off, I don’t wear masks. If you want my money, you better start showing me you’re a capitolist and not a communist. Vote with your wallets folks. I stopped at my local grocery store to hunt down one of the ever elusive whiskeys that has escaped my keen eye and wallet. Stopped at another branch and struck out beforehand. I couldn’t settle for visual confirmation alone that they had none in stock because damnit, their website says otherwise. I decided to have the check out chick phone one of the stock guys. 20 minutes later, I was older and still empty handed, but they made the attempt and that was good customer service on their part.

You wrote: “I guess those fried chicken sandwiches (with bacon) and double cheeseburgers (with bacon) weren’t all that healthy. Who knew?”

I think it’s the bun not the burger and bacon making you gain weight. Next time, just wrap the burger and bacon in a big piece of lettuce.

I don’t wear a mask because it is actually harmful, especially to people with breathing difficulties. I have asthma, and here in NC, the governors mask mandate exempts people with certain medical conditions – one of which is respiratory difficulties.

But I wouldn’t wear one if I were healthy because they are medically useless.

The mask idiocy is nationwide, and is getting worse – recently I have started seeing people wearing double or triple masks. Ignorance knows no bounds.
