As Russian Tanks Move Toward Ukraine, The Globe Braces For World War 3

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

At this hour, more Russian military forces are massed near Ukraine’s borders than we have ever seen before.

Western military leaders say that they are concerned that the troop movements that we have witnessed in recent days may be leading up to an invasion, and if an invasion does happen it will greatly test the resolve of the Biden administration, EU leaders and NATO brass.  In particular, the hawks in the Biden administration would almost certainly not be willing to just sit back and let the Russians conquer all of Ukraine.  There would likely be a major response by the United States, and that could set off a chain reaction that could ultimately spark World War 3.

So what made the Russians suddenly move a massive invasion force toward Ukraine?

Well, it turns out that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky essentially signed a declaration of war against Russia on March 24th.  The document that he signed is known as Decree No. 117/2021, and you won’t read anything about it in the corporate media.

I really had to dig to find Decree No. 117/2021, but eventually I found it.  I took several of the paragraphs at the beginning of the document and I ran them through Google translate…

In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decree:

1. To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of March 11, 2021 “On the Strategy of deoccupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol” (attached).

2. To approve the Strategy of deoccupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (attached).

3. Control over the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, enacted by this Decree, shall be vested in the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

4. This Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication.

President of Ukraine V.ZELENSKY

March 24, 2021

Basically, this decree makes it the official policy of the government of Ukraine to retake Crimea from Russia.

Of course the Russians will never hand over Crimea willingly because they consider it to be Russian territory, and so Ukraine would have to take it by force.

This is essentially a declaration of war against Russia, and Zelensky would have never signed such a document without the approval of the Biden administration.

Following the signing of Decree No. 117/2021, we started to see Russian forces pour into Crimea and into separatist-held areas of eastern Ukraine at a staggering rate.

For example, you can watch a column of Russian tanks being transported by rail right here.

And you can see a massive column of Russian forces on the Crimea bridge right here.

In addition, it is being reported that the 56th Guards Air Assault Brigade is on the move, and that is not a good sign at all.

The Russians are taking Zelensky’s declaration of war very seriously, but the corporate media in the western world is blaming “Russian aggression” for the increase in tensions in the region.

But the truth is that the Russians never would have made any of these moves if warmongers in the Biden administration had not given Zelensky the green light to sign Decree No. 117/2021.

And what most people in the western world don’t know is that fighting has already begun in Ukraine.  The ceasefire that was agreed to in July 2020 has been violated hundreds of times over the past week…

The OSCE’s civilian Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine has reported hundreds of cease-fire violations in recent days. On March 26, four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and two others injured in the eastern part of the country.

The Ukrainian military said its soldiers were hit by a mortar attack it blamed on Russian troops. Russia denies having a military presence in eastern Ukraine, where it backs separatist forces.

At this point, the ceasefire of July 2020 is completely dead.

In response to the renewed fighting, U.S. European Command “has raised its alert status to the highest level”

U.S. European Command has raised its alert status to the highest level after fighting resumed between Russian-backed separatists and Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk Region of eastern Ukraine, marking the end of a June 2020 ceasefire, and Russian forces began building up military equipment along the border.

And we just learned that the chairman of the joint chiefs actually had a telephone call with his counterpart in Russia on Wednesday to address the escalating situation

In a statement on Facebook on Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that at the initiative of the U.S., chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Mark Milley, had a telephone conversation with his counterpart. “Issues of mutual interest were discussed,” the statement said.

In the days ahead, the corporate media in the western world is going to continue talking about “Russian aggression”, and the Russians are going to continue to blame Zelensky and the Biden administration for the rise of tensions in the region.

Ultimately, we could spend countless hours debating who is in the right and who is in the wrong.

But what really matters is keeping this from escalating into a global conflict.  Because if someone does something really stupid and the Russians feel a need to send their invasion force into Ukraine, there will be no going back ever.

I have been warning about a future conflict between the United States and Russia for a very long time, and we have never been closer than we are right now.

With Trump in the White House, relations with Russia were relatively stable, but now Joe Biden is in charge.

Biden is a hothead that is showing signs of advanced cognitive decline, and he is surrounded by a team of warmongers that are determined to put Russian President Vladimir Putin in his place.

The inmates are running the asylum, and it won’t take much of a mistake at all for things to go horribly, horribly wrong.

Snyder is a complete and total asshole. He has been wrong on his doomy predictions for a decade now. In OT times they would have stoned him to death years ago for his False Prophecies.

He is a Russiaphobe because he believes Russia is ………. GOG!! Therefore, Russia MUST be guilty at all times, cuz God said so. Followers of Snyder are several magnitudes dumber than Ouchy Fauchi followers.

Yes, Russia is building up their forces on their side of the Ukraine border. But, why? Because they want to invade a shithole country that provides Russia no value whatsoever, other than massive problems? No! America and her allies have been re-arming Ukraine to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands upon thousands of tons of armaments.

Fact: America NEEDS Big Enemies like a plant needs sunshine. If you don’t know “why”, do some research.

Fuck Snyder. If you want the near absolute truth of what is going on in Ukraine please read The Saker! I’ll even give you the link …

The Vineyard of the Saker is a go to concerning information outside of the Agitprop U.S. and European media. They basically stress that the Russians know America is on its deathbed, and once the Petro Dollar goes belly-up, we’re finished as a world power. All they have to do is sit still and watch our shit show unfold. Once imports including medicine become unavailable and our shelves go empty, the current Federal Regime will lose all credibility and we will have a legitimacy crisis, marking the beginning of the end of the American Empire.

I find Snyder to be unreliable as well. The fact is, though, that the warmongers who now control the Biden Administration may be planning to prod Ukraine into action against the Russians. A fools errand if ever there was one.

I didn’t know you read posts at Unz. Or do you just follow the Saker? I don’t know about Snyder’s views on GOG but he wrote a book to support his views that a pre-trib rapture is wrong.

I’m beginning to think that everyone’s views on John’s Book of Revelation is wrong and we will never have a good understanding what it is about until we die or it’s all over. Personally, I think there is a dual prophesy going on in that book. Some of it has already happened, some is still to come.

I’ll read your article. Saker has some interesting perspectives.

I’ve been following The Saker since the very beginning of the Crimea crisis. I was the first, I believe, to post Saker articles here.

Arch, formerly Yo, last year sent me a thick book of Saker articles, which I read cover to cover. He provides a truly “no bullshit” perspective, states facts as facts, states when he is giving conjecture, and admits when he was wrong. You can’t ask more from a journalist.

Stucky, thanks for posting those comments. I followed the riots in Ukraine from the get-go, read all the Saker articles, watched how Nuland (fuck the EU) and her crew did all they could to overthrow the government and install neo-nazi puppets to do the USSA’s bidding. Hunter Biden and his merry crew of grifters ran roughshod through the country, making millions while the Donbas burned and decent men were killed.
Hunter Biden is filth and his senile father is filth as are the entire crew of murderers in the Obama/Clinton State Department. If you watch the riots in Kiev and then the massacre in Odessa and you have a brain and a conscience then you should be filled with revulsion and nausea whenever you realize the American ‘media’ and the democrats have gone full tilt to protect and promote these pieces of carrion.

THIS is what Hunter and Joe and Obama and Hillary and Nuland did….and they still walk free when they should be…nevermind

In truth, all of the above are just my speculations, nobody really knows whether this war will really happen and, if it does, how it will play out. Wars are amongst the most unpredictable events, hence the number of wars lost by the party which initiated them.

Russia has had a longstanding strategic interest in Crimea. It is their only warm water port. It seems to me that the Biden Administration is trying to provoke a war. If Ukraine were foolish enough to actually move against Russia in the Crimea they would be immediately crushed by Russian forces. With all the bluster by the U.S. what do we really think we can do to stop them. Deploy the twinkle toe brigades against them?

“If Ukraine were foolish enough to actually move against Russia in the Crimea they would be immediately crushed by Russian forces. “

Unlike American Generals who claim every war will be short and won within weeks ….. a Russian assault on Ukraine would literally be over within a week, two max.

It’s not just Crimea. Putin issued an extremely stern warning to Ukraine to not make war on Russian citizens in the eastern oblast of Donbass. You can only Poke The Bear — as the West has done for years regarding Ukraine — before The Bear rips out your guts and eats you for dinner.

Look at this video below. Observe Putin’s eyes, his body language, his tone of voice, his overall steely demeanor. Does it look to you like he’s fucking around? Do you think he’s operating at a Dementia Joe level … saying shit to just say shit that he doesn’t mean?

Notice his comment at the 20 second mark …. “severe consequences for Ukraine as a state …”

The video is two years old. But, he issued the identical warning just a couple weeks ago saying the very Statehood of Ukraine is at risk.

Folks, it is my humble opinion that Vlad ain’t fucking around.

Collective Joe and the ho haven’t a clue about anything. Their handlers are following the old Wolfowitcz doctrine/Great Chessboard while simultaneously destroying the military that they believe will be able to deal with their war mongering.

Putin has already moved in the troops, real troops, into the area….and the Kremlin told the Americans most pointedly that whatever Russia does is of no concern to them. Putin didn’t rise to the bait the first go-round and I doubt he will this go-round unless the imbeciles in the Senile one’s administration really screw the pooch and do something truly stupid.

Most of what the senile one’s handlers are doing at present is putting on a show for the braindead idiots who support Joe and the ho. Problem is, sometimes those shows have a way of getting out of control and setting fire to the stage.

As I have said for some time, the idiots running our government are putting us all in mortal danger. There are various flashpoints around the world: Russia/Ukraine, South China Sea/Taiwan, Iran, Syria, Venezuela. The people handling Biden’s strings are ignorant empty suits. Do you really think a nasty, dirty High Yaller like Susan Rice or a caramel-colored freak of nature like Obama know the first thing about any of these places or the risks involved in throwing our weight around? Of course not. Almost everybody in Biden’s gang is an Affirmative Action case, low IQ, semi-literate parasites feeding off of America. The laughable Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense and platoon sergeant promoted to full general in the army, is utterly incapable of even pondering what serious Russian generals and other military officials are thinking. This organ grinder’s monkey is probably urging Biden to ship even more weapons to the hapless Ukraine puppet government. They will make excellent trophies of war on display in Red Square.
I pray things do not spin out of control in eastern Ukraine. If they do, this is what will happen. If Putin decides to run Biden’s nose in his own feces, the Russians will simply overrun the Ukraine Army and replace the regime in Kiev with pro-Russian stooges. The Europeans will decide that discretion is the better part of valor and shut their pie holes. Unfortunately, the clowns in the Pentagon will demand that we get involved. The result will be simply a humiliating rout, if we are lucky and it does not go nuclear. They will have brought about what they claimed to have feared: the reconstitution of the Russian Empire, or the USSR, as you choose. You better bet when the rest of the former Soviet republics see the Ukies get their butts kicked they will see the light.
I am bracing for impact right now and so should you.

First of all, I agree with HF that there will not be a war … at lest not with American troops. That’s what Europeans are for.

Second, IF we go to war there is no way in hell (I hope) that out black faggot SofD will actually put American troops on Ukrainian soil. Russia proved in WWII that they are willing to absorb massive losses — civilian and military — to defend their country. American troops, stationed in a country that borders the Russian homeland, who are killing Russian soldiers is a defacto attack on Russia. Russia will obliterate American forces, even if the war stays conventional. America’s troops will cry “uncle” the moment their pink high-heel stilettos get stuck in Ukrainian mud.

A physical American involvement, IF it happens, can ONLY proceed in one manner. Nuclear War. Not even our Vegetables are willing to go that far. I think.

So. it’s been almost a year and nothing happened. Why? Because state department pawns are spreading deliberate lies to distract people of the US from internal problems. USA de facto has invaded Ukraine, USA, not Russia, and building its presence to aggravate Putin and distract his government from advancing economically and politically in the region. $5B invested by the USA according to Nuland’s remarks resulted in a coup staged by the NATO. Crimea, that russians received from defeated Turks is the only Black Sea naval base suitable for a serious military fleet, was “gifted” by the delirious Nikita Chrushev (born and raised in Ukraine) to Ukraine, without asking its prior owner, the Russian Federation. So, betrayal of Ukraine’s friendly relations with RF met its first result, revocation of the “gifted” territory that would certainly fall into the NATO hands and pretty much block Russia from any military presence in the Black Sea. Now US/NATO have at least 10 bases and installations in Ukraine, Russia’s backyard, sending billions of US taxpayer’s money to a shitty whore Ukranian government that only cares about staying afloat and stuck in corruption up to its ears. It’s funny how nobody in the US cares about its secret government creating a new zone of conflict far away from US borders. Start f-ing thinking about American citizens already, in US!
