Kindergarten Kids Getting Woke

The “Civics Secures Democracy Act” introduced in Congress last month … authorizes $6 BILLION DOLLARS to wake kids from Kindergarten to 12th grade.  Not everyone has the finances to send their kids to private school/I get that.  But, if you do have the resources but, don’t do it, in The Book of Stucky …………….. that’s Child Abuse!

Anti-American brainwashing starts early

Woke Kindergarten

The Left’s unceasing efforts to turn the young against America will be supercharged with your tax dollars if a radical new plan devoting $6 billion to leftist educational indoctrination becomes law.

The proposed “Civics Secures Democracy Act,” introduced in Congress last month would authorize $1 billion per year in federal grants over six years for K–12 curriculum development, teacher training, and research on the teaching of history and civics.

Alinskyite proposals seek to normalize in children radical leftist political activism disguised as public service

It would also subsidize left-wing political agitation for course credit.

“These Alinskyite proposals seek to normalize in children radical leftist political activism disguised as public service,” said Pete Hutchison, president of Landmark Legal Foundation.

“Patterned after the environmental movement’s co-opting of children in the 1970s, we face both the bogus critical race theory and phony civic action programs that are fundamental challenges to our very way of life.”

U.S. taxpayers have indeed been funding subversive left-wing groups like the now-defunct Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and Saul Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation since at least the Johnson administration. Radicals advance their objectives, erode civil society, and send you the bill.

The Biden administration is fully behind this push to further entrench an ahistorical, politically slanted interpretation of American history and civics into the nation’s classrooms, where, in many cases, the writings of dead communist scholar Howard Zinn, along with nonsensical pabulum from the 1619 Project and the Southern Poverty Law Center, are already taught as objective truth.

Executive Orders and Critical Race Theory

Remember that in Executive Order 13985, the first executive order of POTUS 46*, the newly installed placeholder president rescinded President Donald Trump’s Executive Order 13950, which wisely banned the Marxist-invented Critical Race Theory in federal training, and Trump’s Executive Order 13958, which created the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission that urged U.S. education be moved away from a radical curriculum that hyped race-related injustices of the past.

The 1776 Commission’s final report described Critical Race Theory as “a variation of critical theory applied to the American context that stresses racial divisions and sees society in terms of minority racial groups oppressed by the white majority.”

“Equally significant to its intellectual content is the role Critical Race Theory plays in promoting fundamental social transformation,” it stated, “to impart an oppressor-victim narrative upon generations of Americans. This work of cultural revolution has been going on for decades, and its first political reverberations can be seen in 1960s America.”

Astonishingly, at least two Republicans in Congress who ought to know better are onboard.

The legislation, known in a previous iteration as the proposed “Educating for Democracy Act,” was introduced in the House as HR 1814 by Reps. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.), and Tom Cole (R-Okla.). The Senate version of the bill was introduced by Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas).

Action Civics: Student Political Activism

“The events of recent weeks have illustrated how fragile the democratic process is. We need to help train young people to appreciate how our democracy works,” said Blumenauer, referring to the endlessly overhyped security breach during the congressional certification of the presidential election at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 and its aftermath.

“This effort has never been more important, and our legislation is an opportunity for the federal government to place money behind efforts to supercharge civics education,” he said.

Left-wingers, by the way, rarely fail to refer to the events of that day incorrectly as an “insurrection,” which, if it is an accurate description, would make it one of the few rebellions in modern history in which the participants never got around to arming themselves.

It is unclear how Blumenauer resisted the urge here to sensationalize January 6 by using the I-word.

Much of the money in the proposal will go toward encouraging and supporting student political activism.

Students will receive course credit for protesting and lobbying for political causes

This is called “Action Civics” in the parlance of today’s media-savvy radicals and it means students will receive course credit for protesting and lobbying for political causes. The education bureaucrats holding the purse strings will overwhelmingly be left-wingers and so will almost all the recipients.

Conservative organizations that make the mistake of supporting the proposed “Civics Secures Democracy Act” because they think they might actually receive federal money will be “terribly disappointed,” said David Randall, director of research for the National Association of Scholars (NAS).

NAS has launched a new project called The Civics Alliance that aims to unite Americans to promote authentic civics education that teaches the nation’s founding principles and documents, key events of American history, the structure of our self-governing federal republic, and the spirit of liberty and tolerance.

In the legislation, the way the “bureaucratic hoops are being set up” means conservative and even moderate groups will likely be shut out of the grants process, he said. “It’s not until you look in the footnotes that you see it includes Action Civics.”

“A bill putatively open to progressive and conservative civics, will, because they have Action Civics as one of the bureaucratic prerequisites to apply for a grant, be overwhelmingly steered to radical civics organizations.”

Underwritten by federal grants, the left-wing activists want to promote activities outside the classroom, usually in connection with a nonprofit organization, and “what this does is it gets rids of actual education in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights,” Randall told this writer in a recent interview.

“A republic cannot continue if nobody loves it”

They want to substitute “collective action overwhelmingly for radical progressive causes … habituating students to being organized and learning how to organize.” It’s “vocational training for left-wing activism.”

“Action Civics really has to be removed from the curriculum. It shouldn’t even be an option,” he said.

“It’s a peculiarly effective pedagogy,” Randall admitted.

“This is actually really good psychology, when you get people to become active in something, that makes them loyal to it. … You’re supposed to be having a disengaged education so that you can make mature decisions. This is short-circuiting that process to get minors committed to political activism early on.”

Stanley Kurtz, a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, was the first to raise the alarm about the pending legislation.

The money disbursed under the legislation will benefit so-called woke education, including Critical Race Theory and Action Civics, in the nation’s classrooms, merging “the culture war [and] … K–12 education-policy disputes to a degree never before seen.”

The new legislation “is a backdoor effort to impose a de facto national curriculum in the politically charged subject areas of history and civics,” Kurtz wrote at National Review.

“All around us, the culture war has broken the bounds of the university and spilled into our day-to-day lives. Conservatives and traditional liberals are rightly up in arms about the woke assault on our most fundamental freedoms, extending to inculcating guilt and shame in elementary-school students for the color of their skin. The Democrats in Congress, in league with the Biden administration and the leftist Action Civics movement, are about to supercharge this culture war by injecting it into the heart of federal education policy. Whether sooner or later, this is destined to become the greatest education battle of our lifetimes.”

Randall agrees.

“This civics education is part of a broader ideological assault on the American republic,” he said.

“The basic point is you are supposed to be learning affection for the republic you’re a part of,” Randall said.

“A republic cannot continue if nobody loves it.”

Even in private schools, they teach Zinn. My son was ostracized for arguing against his indoctrination. The reason they teach this communist bullshit is that they have to teach to the commie tests to get into commie colleges. Luckily he went to Liberty University and is now teaching young minds there about the Constitution. Bless his soul. I won the lottery. My wife and I sacrificed a lot of monetary security to keep our kids out of public concentration camps. But they too are rife with communists.

Yes, sadly the private schools too have become fully corrupted and far too closely align with the pubic school mandates. It was that way when I was in private schools in the 1970s even. The only school that seemed to be different was Montessori, but who knows how bad they too have gotten.

i went through montessori schools in the 80s. they were ok then, but you could see the rot creeping in – ‘hippy’ teachers with ever more left-leaning ideas and no hesitation to indoctrinate those into the kids. i was lucky, my parents had already taught me to think for myself. then after elementary we moved and i was in the public schools after that.. but i’d already figured out that the school system, public or private, was just about squeezing people into a mold to turn out drones.. i ignored basically the whole program,. slipped on through with straight C’s, spent my afternoons and weekends in the libraries reading along my own interests, and did just fine.
(libraries! hah, how many of these kids of the tablet generation even know what the fuck a library is!! or a card catalog!!!)
nowadays the only sane option is home schooling, perhaps with a small co-op effort of like-minded families.

We paid tuition for our kids to be in a non-denominational school in the ’80s and ’90s. Many teachers were refugees from public schools and admitted they liked it there much more, though the pay was a lot less. Most seemed pretty level headed, though some of the administrators were of a lot less value. The biggest source of success: strong family values and good parent:child relationships. Easier said than done sometimes. Things were tight paying for one high schooler and another at an out of state college with out of state tuition. Not sure what we’d do today if we had kids of school age; probably home school. Too bad we can’t vote with our tax dollars and stop supporting ineffective public education, teachers, and teacher unions.

I understand that America as I have known it is gone. And I will despise myself until the day I die for standing by and having allowed it to happen. By way of explanation and not excuse, I just knew if I stepped off that porch, FedGov would destroy my wife and family. I owed my ancestral betters more than that.

Romans 8:22-23 KJB… “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

It’s coming Leah, the physical adoption, the resurrection, the “rapture” of the body… we just have to be patient, doing what we can, while we can and wait for it. Scripture helps me greatly; it speaks my language, reassures and reminds me of the hope of eventual (imminent?) glory while we endure the worlds death throes.

There is still much to have joy in… 😊

The plan is just to wear everyone down with endless woke bullshit. Day after day it will continue nonstop. It is working so far. It will take a mighty effort to battle it.

I believe I had some success running businesses because I fought as hard for $0.05 as I did for $10,000. The reason was I believed if you started saying “I will not worry about $0.05”, that was the end. Where would the line be drawn? Once you allow the line to shift, that five cents is not worth fighting for, when will it be ten, twenty, a thousand dollars?

It is really hard to maintain that, though, because you face an onslaught of people saying why do you worry about X, it is such a small amount, don’t be so greedy. It is hard to battle that stuff constantly.

And that is what these leftists are doing, they are trying to incrementally get their entire agenda to be accepted as the norm. The only way to battle it is to battle every single step, no matter how small.

And that is not happening, so they are winning. Battle it all, or lose it all. That is the reality.

Thank you for this. I’ve become jaded. This site reminds me that I think like other people, despite those around me.

Nikita Kruschev was not shy about explaining his method: two steps forward, one step back. That was sometime around when he pounded his shoe on the table at the UN.

If you think this is something new in K-12 then you haven’t been paying close enough attention. They are just ramping up the bullshit they have been shoveling for 50 years at least. Why do you willingly hand your children over to these demons every morning? There is a cost to doing what is right. Its time to decide what really is.

If you have time for a field trip, visit your local public library and inspect the books in the children’s section. Make sure to be careful not to swallow your tongue.

I see a lot of comments about “teach your child to be a critical thinker”. This might be a dumb question, but I’m not sure how you do that. Or even what a critical thinker is. I’m thinking it means they somehow evaluate the information taught. That’s pretty difficult, as kids mostly adore their teachers and believe what they’re told.
In the case of my granddaughter, 5th grade, we keep communications open, discuss things, etc. She’s bright and inquisitive, especially regarding science, so lots of discussion.
I guess the reason so many are lining up to get the vaccine is because the establishment (an old term from back in the day) says it’s fine, go for it.
I want to help raise a worldly wise kid, but shield her from harsh worldly realities. She gets to watch way too much movies, but I can’t overstep her mom.

Speaking of the establishment, Corbett and his friend James from Media Monarchy call out the rock stars pushing the injection. Specifically the punk rock world who they call punk rock posers. Start at about 17:30, or better, watch the entire 30 minutes. A weekly news update that’s always enlightening. Watch it before they remove Corbetts only other youtube channel. The band Offspring changed their lyrics from their song Keep Em Separated to Keep Em Vaccinated. Isn’t that cute?

Hi Helen, hopefully you can continue the dialogue and encourage her to think for herself, especially if something doesn’t seem right. Ask tons of questions and if it still doesn’t seem right, ask more questions. Teachers are fallible and/or subject to these ridiculous “lesson plans”.

My dad used to call it, “Think for yourself”. He asked the sample question, “Would you jump from a bridge just because everyone else was doing it, even though you could get hurt or die?” He started early, when I was in kindergarten and it stays 40 years later. I know for a fact he would not be getting the jab, nor am I.

My teen nephew and I sometimes have discussions. Last year, he was fairly certain that COVID was overblown. This year he wants the jab, even though he caught the virus and lived. I asked when he became indoctrinated. Couldn’t tell you who was more surprised in that moment.

Take care, Helen.

Thanks for the reply Leah. It’s complicated and it’s simple….”think for yourself.” Kids have so much coming at them, way more than we did. Mary Christine used a great word some time back – perspicacity ( not sure if I spelled it right). It sent me to the dictionary…means something like deep down understanding and an inherent wisdom . As a Christian I call it Holy Spirit discernment, and ever since I learned it I pray that for both my daughter and grand ( and me).
Like a musical or artistic talent, it’s not given to everyone, but it can be developed , according to ability. So a bright sunshiny kid can be taught to look for truth, and trust God’s guidance. Most can discern from good and bad, but it’s the grey areas that are tricky, like pretty good vs good. I always pray the verse from James: if any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth liberally and upbraideth not. Nice talking to you.

State training/domestication is child abuse, either way. “Learned” helplessness recast as virtuous empowerment will not be unpacked, kicked off the back of the Conestoga, & left on the trail by many. Easier to fool than convince of being fooled, sunk cost too late to turn fallacy, never have to take a loss if you have enough capital to keep rolling (rolling, rolling – keep those doggies rolling – rawhide!) the position – & “cultural” capital is the central bank when it comes to rolling the “education” position/hustle, etc.

Baby brother was tasked with weeding the tender scallions. Unsupervised he devised the efficiency of pulling the scallions out of the ground, pulling the weeds out, then “replanting” the scallions. It was supposed to work, but didn’t. State school scions & scionesses are like those scallions. It wasn’t supposed to work (as billed & brochured), &, in the main, did just that.

It’s also it-takes-a-village conscription of other people to pay the union hacks to yank out all those tender scallions. So, a perfidy two-fer.

But under all that mutually assured destruction is the glue that binds sapiens’ synapses into circular firing squads. State schools, etc, are just symptoms, emergent properties, communal properties. Tragedy of the commons is the commons.

Johnny was pretty commie, prolly was all for scallion abuse, but the tune ain’t about that:
